PRESS RELEASE
SHOOTING INCIDENT IN PAGADIAN CITY

On or about 4:40 in the afternoon of November 19, 2014 at Duterte Street, Corner Pulmones Street, Barangay Sta. Lucia District, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur. a shooting incident transpired wherein victim was identified as Jeffrey Caballes Y Hemoncala, 25 years old, tricycle driver by occupation and resident of Purok Villarin, Barangay Banale Of Pagadian City was shot several times by two (2) unidentified riding criminals onboard on a single motorcycle Honda XRM, color red with black combination with no plate number. investigation conducted by Pagadian City Police Station disclosed that said victim was driving his passenger tricycle at the abovementioned place when tailed/followed by two (2) unidentified riding criminals onboard on said motorcycle and suddenly the back rider of same pulled out a caliber 45 pistol and shot  the victim several times in close range. As a result, victim sustained gunshot wounds on the left portion of his jaw, right portion of his neck, left shoulder and chest and same was rushed to Borbon Hospital Pagadian City for immediate medical treatment. Suspects fled to unknown direction after the incident onboard on the abovementioned motorcycle as their getaway vehicle. PNP elements of Pagadian City Police Station conducted a follow-up operation for the possible identity and arrest of suspects as well as to determine the motive of the incident. Evidence recovered from the crime scene were: five (5) fired cartridge case of caliber 45 pistol and one (1) deformed slug of same caliber and for subsequent submission to Provincial Crime Laboratory Office for ballistic examination. CAMPAIGN AGAINST ILLEGAL FISHING IN MARGOSATUBIG

On or about 10:15 in the morning of November 19, 2014, PNP elements of Margosatubig Police Station led by PSInsp Jonathan Presto Lladoc, COP in coordination with honorable Roy Espitacion Encallado, local chief executive of Margosatubig Municipality conducted seaborne patrol at the sea waters of Dumanquillas Bay, Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur that resulted to the arrest of the following suspect: Bernardino Candilanza Y Ubag,  48  years old, single,  fisherman,  male,  and a resident of  Purok  Bougamel, Barangay Poblacion, Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur;  Julie Romero Y  Candilanza, 39 years old,  single,  fisherman,  male and a resident of same place; and  Cresencio  Taboso  Y  Candelanza, 37 years old,  single, fisherman,  male, Filipino, and also  resident of  same place. Subject persons were caught in the act of illegally engaged in illegal fishing or locally as “baling-baling” at the aforementioned sea waters and same were temporarily detained at Margosatubig Police Station locked-up cell while a case for violation of Municipal Ordinance Number 01-98 for illegal fishing within the fish sanctuary of said municipality was being prepared for filing in court. Confiscated fishing paraphernalia’s were turned over to Mrs.  Flordaliza Achumbre Saladaga, fisheries technician of said municipality for proper disposition.

ARRESTED WANTED PERSON IN PAGADIAN CITY

On or about 9:30 in the morning of November 19, 2014, joint PNP elements of Pagadian City Police Station led by PInsp Avelmar Renan Garambas, Deputy Intelligence Officer together with PSInsp Rommel Gabriel Etbew, Chief PAIDSOFT, all under the direction of PSupt Glenn Macario Dulawan, COP proceeded to Purok Golden Shower, Sta. Lucia District, Pagadian City and arrested one (1) Saidar Gampong Y Canoy, 31 years old, male, married, resident of  Purok Quarry, Barangay New Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur. subject person was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for violation of section 11 of article 2 of republic act  9165,  docketed under criminal case nr  9547 issued  by Rolando L Goan, Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court 9, Branch 21, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur. Further, during the arrest of the aforesaid suspect confiscated from his possession and control are the following: two (2) heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu; two (2) units’ cellphone nokia 2700 classic without battery and nokia 301 dual sim. The confiscated drugs were found inside the cellular phone nokia 2700 classic without battery. Suspect is now temporarily detained at Pagadian City Police Station locked-up cell awaiting court disposition.

ALARM AND SCANDAL INCIDENT IN MAHAYAG

On or about 5:00 in the afternoon of November 19, 2014, Mahayag Police Station received a report informing that somebody indiscriminately fired undetermined type of firearm at Sitio Palayan, San Isidro, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur. PNP elements of Mahayag Police Station led by PInsp Melvin Ng Maglangit, DCOP proceeded to above-mentioned place to conduct ocular investigation. initial investigation revealed that a certain Oscar Hao Pitogo alias “Dodo Oca”, 32 a resident of the aforementioned place and one (1) Gedion Rodriguez Navarro Jr. alias "Otok" resident of Miligan, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur while having drinking session particularly at the house of Oscar Hao Pitogo suddenly fired a gun twice without apparent reasons causing alarm and panic of the people in the area. Same PNP elements conducted hot pursuit operation which resulted to the successful arrest of one (1) Gedion R. Navarro Jr. Alias "Otok". SHOOTING INCIDENT IN TUKURAN

On or about 11:30 in the morning of November 20, 2014, Mr. Cadir Ngapas Y Guad of Purok Malipayon, Barangay Combo, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur together with Kagawad Shajada Mamasalagat of Barangay Lower Bayao, Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur personally appeared and reported to Tukuran Police Station informing that one (1) Jaynard Ngapas 21 years old, single, fisherman and a resident of Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur was shot once using unknown caliber of handgun by the suspect identified as one (1) Rambo Lador of legal age and  a resident of Purok Rizal, Barangay Sto. Niño, Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur. Initial investigation conducted disclosed that on or about 3:00 in the morning of November 20, 2014, the victim was about to go home after attending a disco affair of San Carlos, Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur and waiting for passenger jeep to pass  by with some bystanders of the said barangay when a commotion happened wherein the said suspect on board a SMC Honda Wave color black with two unidentified back riders arrived and without any provocation, one of his unidentified companion boxed a certain Odo Padido hitting his right jaw and not contented on their actions, the suspect (Rambo Lador) got a handgun and pointed it to Odo Padido but unfortunately the said victim who was not involve in the fistfight was accidentally hit by stray bullet on his right shoulder. Suspects together with his two unidentified companions fled towards unknown direction right after the incident while victim was immediately brought by his companions to Tukuran Rural Health Unit but the victim refuses to undergo further medical treatment to the hospital and just went home. Tukuran Police Station now convincing the victim to file charges against the suspect while follow-up operation was being conducted by same PNP elements for possible arrest of the suspect. ROBBERY INCIDENT PAGADIAN CITY

On or about 6:30 in the evening of November 20, 2014, one Ruffy Jhon Rodriguez Y Dablo, 36 years old, male, married and a resident of block 7, lot 3, NJK Subdivision, Barangay Dao, Pagadian City together with his wife personally came and informing Pagadian City Police Station that a robbery/burglary incident transpired at the above-mentioned place. Immediately, PNP personnel of Pagadian City Police Station proceeded to the aforementioned place to conduct ocular inspection/investigation. Initial investigation disclosed that on or about 6:00 in the evening of same date, Mr. and Mrs. Rodriguez discovered that there house was entered by unidentified suspect/s by gaining entrance at the back window of their house. Further investigation disclosed that unidentified suspect/s was able to get inside by forcibly destroying the window blades of the house and carted away the following items, three(3) necklace, one (1) gold and two (2) silvers, three(3) rings of gold, one (1) bracelet, three(3) earrings (gold) and one (1) unit Acer laptop. Suspect/s fled to unknown direction after the incident. Pagadian City Police Station is now conducting follow-up investigation for possible identity of the suspect/s and file appropriate charges in court. REPORTED INCIDENTS –Nov. 18, 2014

PRESS RELEASE 
Shooting in Labangan

Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur - shooting incident occurred at about 1:00 PM November 18, 2014 at Barangay Tapodoc, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur. The victim was identified as Badruddin Datucaca Y Silongan, 35 years old and a resident of above-mentioned place. He was shot to death by unidentified person with the used of .45 Cal pistol based on one empty cartridge recovered at the crime scene. The victim sustained one gunshot wound on his head and died on the spot. The Labangan MPS is now conducting manhunt operation against the suspect. The motive of the incident is personal grudge.

Old Woman Drowned in Josefina

Josefina, Zamboanga Del Sur - drowning incident occurred at about 3:00 PM November 17, 2014 in Barangay Litipan, Josefina. The victim was identified as Luzviminda Lood Y Villagonzalo, 62 years old, married, farmer and a resident of aforesaid place. The old woman was accidentally carried by strong current of water while crossing the creek resulted to her untimely death. Her cadaver was found at around 11:45 PM November 17, 2014 by the relatives and the Barangay officials of the abovementioned place.

Vehicular Accident in Pagadian City

Pagadian City - a vehicular traffic accident transpired along Rizal Avenue, Barangay San Pedro, Pagadian City at about 12:10 AM November 18, 2014, wherein a passenger tricycle color blue Kawasaki Barako bearing cab number 2034, driven by certain caballero a deaf mute and without driver’s license, accidentally bumped into the Toyota hi-ace ambulance cmm bearing plate number lh3-474 owned by Margosatubig Regional Hospital and driven by Rex Leodigildo Jr. Y Canicosa. Investigation showed that the ambulance was about to turn at the center island of the aforesaid place when suddenly bumped by the said tricycle at the front left side portion of the vehicle’s body. Both vehicle incurred damage while the passenger of the tricycle identified as Trafa Gomera, 50, sustained injuries at her head. She was brought to Borbon Hospital for treatment.  Accordingly, the passenger tricycle was reportedly lost at about 11:15 PM of same date by the abovementioned owner and believed to be taken by unidentified person. The unidentified deaf and mute person/suspect was brought to the said police station by the responding traffic personnel and now temp detained at lock -up cell of the mentioned police station while an appropriate case against the said suspect is now being prepared for filing in court.

RA 9262 Violator Nabbed in Pagadian City

Pagadian City - the operatives of Pagadian City Police Station arrested Roderick Tallafer Y Lacaste, 37, in Barangay Danlungan, Pagadian City at about 10:10 AM November 18, 2014 for violation of section 5 (i) in relation to section 6 (f) of RA 9262 issued by the RTC 9th Judicial Region Branch 22, Pagadian City with criminal case number 11798-2k14 signed by Benjamin R Lanzaderas- Presiding Judge. The accused now temporarily detained at the mentioned police station while waiting for court commitment order.

Farmer Held for Homicide Case in Guipos

Guipos, Zamboanga Del Sur - a farmer who has a standing warrant of arrest for the crime of homicide was arrested by the Guipos MPS led by Senior Inspector Jul-wadi U. Edding in Barangay Dagohoy, Guipos at about 6:00 AM November 18, 2014.  Arrested was identified as Faustino Vivas Y Bation, 34 years old, married, a farmer and a resident of the aforementioned place. He was arrested by virtue of warrant of Arrest for the crime of homicide issued By Dennis P. Vicoy, Presiding Judge, Branch 29, RTC, Pagadian City docketed in criminal case number 11799-2k14 for the crime of homicide. The accused now temporarily detained at Guipos MPS for proper disposition.

CAMPAIGN AGAINST ILLEGAL DRUGS IN DINAS

On or about 3:30 in the afternoon of November 16, 2014, PNP elements of Dinas Dinas Police Station led by PInsp Manuel Elumbaring Acabal responded and conducted a mobile checkpoint at Purok 3, Barangay Legarda Dos, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur in connection with the txt message from a confidential informant informing that unidentified person wearing polo shirt color black and jogging pants had brought with him a pack of shabu on board  a passenger van bearing plate nr 648 going to Pagadian City and successfully arrested one (1) Darwin Maguindanao Meras aka “Amang”, 20 years old, single and a resident of Purok Dap-Dap, Barangay Culabay, Tabina, Zamboanga Del Sur. confiscated from his possession and control were two (2) transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline granules believed to be shabu, eleven (11) pcs rolled aluminum foils and one (1) pc disposable lighter color blue pd suspect was brought and temporarily detained at Dinas Police Station lock-up cell while case for viol of R.A. 9165 is being prepared for filing in court. ARREST OF CARNAPPERS IN PAGADIAN CITY

On or about 2:05 in the morning of November 16, 2014, PNP team of Pagadian City Police Station led by PInsp Avelmar Renan Garambas, OD proceeded to Bonifacio St., Barangay Santiago, Pagadian City to respond the report via Pagadian City Police Station hotline from a concern citizen informing that a male suspected Carnapper was trapped inside the Isuzu Mini Van. same team successfully arrested one (1) Michael Temonio Y Paholaya, 20 years old, male, single and a resident of Sagakan, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur. initial investigation revealed that the said van with plate number YJT660 and registered in the name of Samson M Lim of Ariosa St., Pagadian City while being parked at the aforesaid place when being push while the other act as a driver by a two malefactors but luckily duty security guard of Sams Fastfood in the name of S/G Alexander Rojas Y Lumombang noticed it and call the attention of another security guard of adjacent establishment to assist him to impede the evil motive of the said two persons which prompted one (1) of them to run towards the dark portion of the road while Michael Temonio Y Paholaya was left inside the said van. Suspect is now temporarily detained at Pagadian City Police Station lock-up cell while appropriate charges are being prepared for filing in court.

Stabbing in Lapuyan

Lapuyan, Zamboanga Del Sur – a stabbing incident occurred at about 8:00 PM November 16, 2014 in Barangay Tiguma, Lapuyan, Zamboanga Del Sur. The responding team from Lapuyan Police Station identified the victim as Jesus Lumio Y Saga, 59, married, farmer, resident of Barangay Carpok, Lapuyan. He was rushed to Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center for immediate medical treatment and was stabbed by suspect identified as Antonito Tungal Y Sumpatan, 54, also a farmer and resident of above-mentioned place. The suspect voluntarily surrendered to the Barangay Chairman of said place. He is now under the custody of the mentioned police station for filing of appropriate case against him.

Teen Held in Tabina for Drugs

Tabina, Zamboanga Del Sur – elements of Tabina Police Station confiscated a total of eleven heat sealed plastic sachet of illegal drugs from a 19-year old teen during Checkpoint operation in Barangay Culabay, Tabina, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 5:30 PM November 17, 2014.  Senior inspector Raymundo Salinding Mangual, Chief of Police, Tabina MPS, identified the arrested as Rustom Capuyan Y Madraga, 19, single, resident of Purok Fishing Village, Barangay Poblacion, Tabina. Prior to his arrest, the The suspect was driving his single Honda XRM at said place when being held and intercepted by the PNP elements manning the said checkpoint for violation of RA 4136 in relation to driving without license and no registration, however, upon inspection and verification made, the suspect arrogantly refused to show driver license and certificate of registration. He then disembarked from his driven motorcycle and ran away but he was arrested by said PNP elements of Tabina MPS. confiscated from the possession and control of the suspect during his arrest are one small wallet color violate containing eleven heat sealed plastic sachet believed to be Shabu; two transparent cellophane containing sixteen folded aluminum foils; and one unit cellphone china made N929. Arrested suspect was temporarily detained at Tabina MPS locked- up cell while a appropriate case for violation of RA 9165 is now being prepared for filing in court.

Jobless Arrested in Drug Bust

Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur – a 29-year old jobless was nabbed during drug-buy-bust operation conducted by the operatives of Aurora Police Station in Purok 2, Sitio Boundary, Barangay Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 10:30 PM November 17, 2014. Senior Inspector Heidel B. Te-Elan, Chief of Police, Aurora MPS, identified the pusher as Jufel Undangan Y Gamorot, 29 years old, married, a jobless and a resident of above-mentioned place. Recovered from the possession and control of the suspect were two small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white substance believed to be Shabu estimated at 0.06 grams weight  together with one rolled aluminum foil in exchange of two P200.00 paper bills as marked money. Arrested suspect is now under the custody of the said police station while appropriate criminal charges for violation of RA 9165 is now being prepared against him.

Military Truck Fell into the Ravine in Aurora

Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur - vehicular accident occurred at about 3:20 PM November 17, 2014 along National Highway of Purok 1, Barangay Anonang, Aurora, wherein one military vehicle km 450 with plate number SLF 945 boarded with eight (music) army personnel and driven by Corporal Abdusalam Araha Y Habing, 38, stationed at 547th engineering battalion based at Kuta Dao, Pagadian City and a native of Lamitan, Basilan accidentally fell into a ravine 150 meters from the hi-way. investigation disclosed that the said vehicle was negotiating their way going to headquarter of 52nd Engineering Brigade, Phil Army, Manolo Fortich, Bukidnon coming from Kuta Dao, Pagadian City, however, upon reaching at the steep grade curved portion of the said highway, suddenly the said vehicle swerved to the left portion of the ravine due to mechanical defect and when he applied the brakes, it could no longer control the vehicle that resulted to said accident. The AFP personnel who were injured during the incident were Corporal Pablito Lagoy Y De Jesus, 36; Corporal Alam Sappahani Y Moh-Salih, 34; Private First Class Basir Samad Y Sala, 28; Private First Class Giovanni Balatero Y Salinas, 27 and Private First Class Arnold Ambrosio Y Fontanilla, 23; Major Darren Ringka Y Alferez, 44. They were brought to Pagadian Doctors’ Hospital for medical treatment. four (4) others AFP personnel have sustained minor injuries and they were corporal abdusalam araha y habing, 38, the driver of the vehicle km 450; Corporal Alvino Varquez Y Calixtro, 34 and Private First Class Reymar Lumactod Y Cañete, 21. The said vehicle incurred severe damage and was stuck at the creek of the ravine where it landed during the accident.

Wanted Man Nabbed in Molave

Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur - A man who was facing qualified theft case was arrested by the operatives of Molave Police Station in Barangay Madasigon, Molave at about 9:30 AM November 13, 2014. Arrested was Pete Hermosilla Caliao, legal age, resident of said place. He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of qualified theft issued by Judge Jaime Caberte, RTC branch 23, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur docketed under criminal case number 2014-10-2819 with bail recommended fixed at (P30, 000). He is now temporarily detained at the mentioned police station awaiting court disposition.

Laborer Nabbed during Pagadian Drug Bust

Pagadian City – Intel operatives of Pagadian City Police Station led by Police Senior Inspector Rommel G. Etbew and PDEA arrested a 19-year old laborer during drug buy-buy operation in Leon Kilat Street, Barangay San Pedro, Pagadian City at about 1:00 PM November 14, 2014. Arrested was identified as Jay Babasol Y Medel, 19, single, laborer with home address at Barangay Macasing, Pagadian City. Confiscated from his possession were five (5) pieces light green transparent plastic straw sachets containing shabu with estimated weight of 1.35 grams, two (2) pcs rolled aluminum foils and three (3) pcs one hundred peso bill as marked money. The arrested suspect is now temporarily detain at said police station while a case for violation of RA 9165 is  being prepared for filing in court against him.

FOUND MALE DEAD BODY

On or about 6:50 in the morning of November 15, 2014 PNP elements of Molave  Police Station received a cellphone call from Barangay Captain Antonio Baylosis of Barangay Dalaon, Molave Zamboanga Del Sur and reported that there was a found dead body of a person at Sitio Bandera, Barangay Dalaon, Molave Zamboanga Del Sur. immediately PNP elements of Molave Police Station led by PInsp Edwin Impil Lumingo under the supervision of PCInsp Restituto Alsiyao Pangusban, OIC proceeded to the place of incident and conducted ocular investigation in the crime scene. upon arrival of the PNP elements of Molave Police Station found dead body lying lifeless upon verification/investigation victim identified as Reynante Fernandez, 38 years old, married a resident of Purok Susayan, Barangay Dalaon, Molave Zamboanga Del Sur. Further investigation conducted by Molave Police Station disclosed that prior to the incident, on the evening of 14 November 14, 2014, the victim was last seen to have been dancing and drinking with other people in a Sitio Bandera Disco just sixty (60) to one hundred (100) meters away from the place where the dead body was found. Believed, that the crime was committed when the victim went home after the disco. CAMPAIGN AGAINST ILLEGAL DRUGS AND LOOSE FIREARMS

On or about 6:15 in the morning of November 15, 2014  conducted joint buy-bust operation led PCInsp Modhin Acub Pantaran Intelligence Operatives of ZDSPPO together with personnel of PDEA and PNP  elements of Margosatubig Police Station led by PSInsp Jonathan Presto Lladoc OIC at Barangay Luguimit, Margosatubig Zamboanga Del Sur that resulted to the successful arrest of two (2) suspect identified as one(1) Benjie Wahid  legal age and one (1) Karim Edto legal age both a resident of above-mentioned place. confiscated from their possession and control one (1) heat sealed sachet of shabu as buy-bust evidence, three(3) heat sealed sachets of shabu as seized evidence, one caliber .38 revolver with one (1) .38 ammo. suspect’s and seized items were brought by PDEA personnel and intelligence operatives of ZDSPPO at Pagadian City for proper disposition and inquest cases are being handled by PDEA personnel at Pagadian City.

CARNAPPING OF SINGLE MOTORCYCLE

On or about 6:50 in the morning of November 15, 2014 Edwin Maghuyop Abaquita Sr., 55 years old, married, farmer a resident of Purok 3 Kalubihan, Lower Salug Daku, Mahayag Zamboanga Del Sur personally reported to Mahayag Police Station that allegedly, at around 5:30 o’clock in the morning of the same date he discovered that the single motorcycle that was parked beside his house was missing describe as Honda single motorcycle, color blue, bearing plate no. 1323JC, registered in the name of Alma Sayson, resident of Lower Salug Daku, Mahayag Zamboanga Del Sur which was assumed by Rosehur Sayson Lim, resident of Lower Salug Daku, Mahayag Zamboanga Del Sur per deed of sale with assumption of mortgage presented and allegedly assumed by Edwin Maghuyop Abaquita Sr., verbally from Rosehur Lim was stolen by unidentified suspect/s. he further revealed that the suspect allegedly entered inside his house passing at the open ceiling and took his money amounting to One Hundred Fifty Pesos (Php 150.00) and his wrist watch. Mahayag Police Station still conducting follow-up investigation for the possible identity of the suspect/s.

INDESCRIMINATE FIRING IN PAGADIAN CITY

On or about 10:00 in the evening of November 15, 2014, PO1 Frederick Atay, designated as Pulis sa Barangay of Sta. Lucia District of Pagadian city received a complaint by certain Larry Carillo Y Abenez, legal age, resident of Purok Pagatpat Uno, Barangay Sta. Lucia of same city informing that his neighbor identified as Ruben Perafer Y Hinoguin, 28, single, farmer by occupation, resident of Purok Uno, Barangay Nian, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur indiscriminately fired his caliber 38 revolver outside his house.  Reaction Team of Pagadian City Police Station immediately proceeded to the reported place of incident purposely to verify the veracity of said report and conduct investigation. Upon arrival of the responding team, abovementioned suspect who was armed with caliber 38 revolver was immediately arrested and confiscated from his possession said firearm.
