REPORTED INCIDENTS - October 11, 2017

Shooting Incident

Shooting incident transpired at Purok 4, Barangay Lower Panikian, Pitogo, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 2:00 PM of October 10, 2017. The victim was identified as Artemio Candelanza, 60 years old, farmer, married and resident of the above-mentioned place. investigation conducted disclosed that victim was on his house of above-mentioned place when two (2) unidentified suspects/riding in tandem criminals onboard single mc Honda wave, color blue with white combination, no plate number, suddenly arrived at his house and subsequently shot the victim several times using undetermined caliber of firearm. As a result, victim sustained five (5) gunshot wounds in his abdomen and was brought to the hospital for immediate medical treatment, suspects fled towards unknown direction after the incident. PNP personnel of Pitogo MPS conducted thorough investigation and follow-up operation to possibly identify, locate and arrest the fleeing suspects.

Hacking Incident

Hacking incident transpired at Sitio Lasak, Brgy Buburay, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 8:30 PM of October 9, 2017. The victims were identified as Apolinario Bayobay Baroro, 81 years old, married, farmer and Oliver Botero Baroro, 32 years old, farmer/carpenter, both of same places. Investigation conducted disclosed that prior to the incident, at around 8:30 PM of same date, both victims (father and son) were celebrating the birthday of oliver together their family and were having a drinking spree and a heated arguments ensued between them that resulted to a duel using a bolo. Both sustained minor injuries in the different parts of their bodies and immediately rushed to the said health center. Right after their treatment, both were brought to Dimataling MPS for proper investigation and disposition. Recovered from the crime scene bolo (pinote) used by Oliver.

Project Double Barrel

Joint PNP personnel of Zamboanga Del Sur PPO and Margosatubig MPS conducted joint anti-illegal drug buy-bust operation at Elago Street, Purok Rose, Poblacion, Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 1:30 PM on October 10, 2017.  The operation resulted in the arrest of Nenita “Nening” Dealco Basit, 40 years old, widow, female and resident of the above-mentioned place. Confiscated from his possession and control was one (1) plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu and three (3) pieces one hundred peso bill as buy bust money with serial numbers es327566, cv059454 and cb438198. The suspect is now temporarily detained at PDEA detention center, while appropriate case for violation of RA 9165 is now being prepared for filing in court.

Project Double Barrel

Joint PNP personnel of Zamboanga Del Sur PPO and personnel of Margosatubig MPS conducted joint anti-illegal drug operation at Rizal Street, Poblacion, Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 1:00 PM on October 10, 2017. The operation resulted in the arrest of Neil “Nonoy” Simbajon Rivera, 31 years old, single, male and resident of the above-mentioned place. confiscated from his possession and control were one (1) plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believe to be shabu and three (3) pieces one hundred peso bill buy-bust money with serial numbers bq735833, bc729724 and dq500591. The arrested subject person is now temporarily detained at PDEA detention center, while appropriate case for violation of RA 9165 is now being prepared for filing in court.

Govt. Employee Held for Estafa Charges

Elements of Tukuran MPS and PPSC while conducting checkpoint at Barangay Militar, Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 4:00 PM of October 9, 2017. This after they received an information that a wanted person will be passing in the area onboard an eco-sport vehicle, color blue bearing with plate number AAW 9549 going to Sultan Naga Dimaporo, Lanao Del Norte. At about   4:20 pm of same date, said vehicle was about to pass and immediately held for inspection to the occupants. The operation resulted in the arrest of Estela Marie Navarez Calib, an employee of BIR, 38 years old, married, and a resident of Block 5, Lot 2, Alta Tierra, Tiguma, Pagadian City for the crime of estafa (six counts) docketed under criminal case nr. 13372-2k17, 13373-2k17, 13374-2k17, 13375-2k17, 13376-2k17 and 13377-2k17 issued by Presiding Judge Romeo T. Descalar Of Rtc 9, Branch 19, Pagadian City Dated April 6, 2017 with bail bond recommended fixed to sixty thousand pesos (₱60,000.00) for each count for her temporary liberty with a total amount of three hundred sixty thousand pesos (₱360,000.00). Arrested accused is detained at Tukuran MPS for proper disposition.

Arrest of Wanted Person

Combined elements of Bayog MPS, RPSB9, Regional Intelligence Unit 9, intelligence agencies and Midsalip MPS conducted manhunt operation at Purok 8, Barangay Kahayagan, Bayog, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 12:20 AM of October 10, 2017. This led to the arrest of Joseph Libradilla Deo, 46 years old, married and farmer by occupation. This is by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of murder docketed under criminal case numbers 17-10,1417, 17-10,1407 and 17-10,1406 issued by Hon. Analyn F. Ramas-Costanilla, Presiding Judge, Rtc Branch 30, 9th Judicial Region, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur dated march 20, 2015 and May 8, 2017 with no bail bond recommended. Recovered from the accused was one (1) unit colt .45 caliber pistol bearing serial number 421893 with one magazine inserted loaded with one (1) live ammunition. Arrested accused is detained at Bayog MPS lock-up cell while waiting for his final adjudication from court.

THE OPERATION RESULTED IN THE ARREST OF MIKE MAULANA, 30 YEARS OLD, MARRIED, RESIDENT OF SAID PLACE AND LISTED TOP 4 MOST WANTED PERSON IN DINAS, ZDS, BY VIRTUE OF WARRANT OF ARREST FOR THE CRIME OF MURDER, ISSUED BY HON. FELIX B. RODRIGUEZ, ACTING PRESIDING JUDGE OF RTC 9TH JUDICIAL REGION BRANCH 29 OF SAN MIGUEL, ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR DATED OCTOBER 24, 2014 WITH CC#14-112 WITH NO BAIL BOND RECOMMENDED. CAMALIG, DUMALINAO, ZDS, AND VEH2- HONDA XRM, COLOR BLACK AND RED, NO PLATE #, DRIVEN BY CANTAON MENDOYAG LIMBONITO, 25 YEARS OLD, AND A RESIDENT OF BRGY, MACASING, PAGADIAN CITY. INVESTIGATION DISCLOSED THAT VEH1 WAS TRAVERSING FROM BRGY. CAMALIG, DUMALINAO, BOUND TO BRGY. PAG-ASA, DUMALINAO, ZDS AND VEH2- WERE MOVING FROM BRGY MACASING, PAGADIAN CITY BOUND TO BRGY. INITIAL INVESTIGATION CONDUCTED DISCLOSED THAT THE DRIVER OF SINGLE MC BELIEVED TO BE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL WAS TRAVERSING FROM MUNICIPALITY OF DINAS BOUND TO PAGADIAN CITY AND UPON REACHING AT NATIONAL ROAD OF PUROK 2, POBLACION, GUIPOS, ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR ACCIDENTALLY BUMPED THE PEDESTRIAN WHILE WALKING BESIDE THE ROAD. THE PEDESTRIAN SUSTAINED FRACTURED ON HIS RIGHT LEG AND THE DRIVER INCURRED INJURIES AND BOTH WERER RUSHED TO JAMELARIN HOSPITAL FOR IMMEDIATE MEDICAL TREATMENT. ON OR ABOUT 7:30 PM OF OCTOBER 5, 2017, A MOTOR VEHICULAR TRAFFIC ACCIDENT TRANSPIRED AT PUROK 2, BARANGAY KAGAWASAN, DIMATALING, ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR. INITIAL INVESTIGATION CONDUCTED DISCLOSED THAT VICTIM IDENTIFIED AS ELMER VEBORDI BALASI, 27 YEARS OLD, MARRIED, FARMER WITH BACK RIDER DARIO AGOT BALASI, 23 YEARS, SINGLE, JOBLESS BOTH RESIDENT OF SITIO CODILOG, BARANGAY POBLACION, DIMATALING, ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR WERE TRAVELING ONBOARD A SINGLE MOTORCYCLE, HONDA XRM 125 WITH PLATE NO. 7245 JL FROM THE MUNICIPALITY OF PITOGO HEADING TOWARDS THEIR RESIDENCE. THAT, ACCORDING TO THE WITNESS, THE DRIVER AND HIS BACK RIDER WERE TRAVELING IN A ZIGZAG MOTION AND BELIEVED TO BE UNDER THE INFLUENCED OF INTOXICATING LIQUOR. UPON REACHING AT THE PLACE OF INCIDENT, THE DRIVER LOSE CONTROL OF SAID MOTORCYCLE AND SWERVED TO THE OPPOSITE LANE UNTIL THEY ACCIDENTALLY BUMPED A COCONUT TREE. AS A RESULT, THE DRIVER AND BACK RIDER DIED ON THE SPOT DUE TO THE STRONG IMPACT. THE SINGLE MOTORCYCLE IS NOW UNDER THE CUSTODY OF DIMATALING MPS FOR PROPER DISPOSITION.

FOUND MALE DEAD BODY

ON OR ABOUT 8:30 PM ON OCTOBER 7, 2017, A MALE DEAD BODY WAS FOUND FLOATING LIFELESS AT THE SEASHORE OF BARANGAY ALINDAHAW, TUKURAN, ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR. THE UNIDENTIFIED VICTIM WAS WEARING JERSEY SHIRT, COLOR GOLDEN YELLOW WITH PRINTED MARKED CURRY AT THE BACK OF SHIRT, WEARING SHORT PANTS, COLOR SKY BLUE WITH GOLDEN YELLOW STRIPES, APPROXIMATELY 10 TO 15 YEARS OF AGE, ESTIMATED HEIGHT OF 4 FEET. INVESTIGATION CONDUCTED DISCLOSED THAT THE UNIDENTIFIED MALE DEAD BODY WAS PERSONALLY DISCOVERED BY RICARDO DE GUZMAN MARGALLO, 31 YEARS OLD, MARRIED, FISHERMAN AND RESIDENT OF PUROK KATAMBAK, BARANGAY ALINDAHAW, TUKURAN, ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR WHILE FISHING USING HIS NON-MOTORIZED BOAT AT THE ABOVE-MENTIONED SEASHORE. FURTHER INVESTIGATION CONDUCTED DISCLOSED THAT VICTIM WAS ALLEGEDLY DROWNED FROM NEARBY COASTAL MUNICIPALITY CONSIDERING THAT THERE WAS NO INJURY OR WOUNDS IN HIS BODY. PNP PERSONNEL OF TUKURAN MPS COORDINATED WITH NEARBY MUNICIPALITIES FOR ANY REPORT OF MISSING PERSON FOR POSSIBLE IDENTIFICATION OF THE VICTIM.

ON OR ABOUT 4:20 PM OF OCTOBER 8, 2017, A MOTOR VEHICULAR TRAFFIC ACCIDENT (SELF ACCIDENT) TRANSPIRED AT PUROK 1, BARANGAY BALANAGAN, DIMATALING, ZAMBOANG DEL SUR WHEREIN SINGLE MOTOR HONDA XRM 125, NO PLATE NUMBER DRIVEN BY RENZ JOHN SASOTER MURIA, 15 YEARS OLD, GRADE 9 STUDENT, AND A RESIDENT OF PUROK 3, BARANGAY TINGGABULONG, DIMATALING, ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR. INVESTIGATION CONDUCTED DISCLOSED THAT THE SAID MC TRAVELING PARTICULARLY AT PROVINCIAL ROAD  FROM MUNICIPALITY OF TABINA GOING TO BARANGAY COLOJO, PITOGO, ZDS, UPON ARRIVAL AT SAID PLACE MET AN ACCIDENT. ACCORDING TO THE WITNESS, SAID VICTIM WAS DRIVING IN ZIGZAG SPEEDY MOTION AND BELIEVED TO BE UNDER THE INFLUENCED OF INTOXICATING LIQUOR, AS A RESULTED HE CRASHED DOWN ON THE CENTER OF THE ROAD. THE DRIVER SUSTAINED MULTIPLE INJURIES IN DIFFERENT PARTS OF HIS BODY AND IMMEDIATELY BROUGHT TO DIMATALING RURAL HEALTH CENTER FOR INITIAL TREATMENT AND FORWARDED TO PAGADIAN CITY HOSPITAL FOR PROPER MEDICATION. REPORTED INCIDENTS - October 7, 2017

Shooting Incident

Shooting incident transpired at Purok Bagong Silang, Barangay Balangasan, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 5:00 PM of October 6, 2017 wherein victim Eddie Minandang Diwa, 38 years old, male, married, security guard and a resident of Barangay Balangasan, Pagadian City was shot by suspect identified as Socime Soon Nilmeda, 34 years old, male, married, and a resident of barangay Balangasan, Pagadian City. Initial investigation conducted disclosed that the victim was on his way to his mother-in law’s house located at the place of incident, said suspect came near him and punched him several times without any apparent reason until he was pacified. Said victim however tried to run to the said house while the suspect chased him and immediately drew an undetermined type of firearm and shot hitting at his left hand. The victim was rushed to Aisah Hospital, Pagadian City and now under stable condition. Suspect fled to unknown direction. Personnel of Pagadian City Police Station are now conducting hot pursuit operation for the possible arrest of the suspect and to determine the motive of the incident. The investigator on case was PO2 Mizrach Sumampong Lapid with CP number 09106538891.

Vehicular Traffic Accident

Vehicular traffic accident transpired at the National Highway of Purok Lover’s Lane, Barangay San Jose, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 12:52 PM of October 6, 2017. The victim was a 5-year old pre-school student and a resident of Purok Lover’s Lane, Barangay San Jose, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur. The victim was sitting outside their house and suddenly crossed the road unnoticing the incoming vehicle. As a result, victim was accidentally bumped by a pick-up truck, color white bearing plate number SKD 166 and was thrown away and fell into the pavement. Said victim sustained multiple injuries on his head and different parts of her body and was immediately brought to Aurora Community Emergency Hospital (ace) located at Barangay Cabilinan, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur but later pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician. While the driver of the said truck did not stop and pull over but still preceded heading towards Barangay Esperenza, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga Del Sur. personnel of Aurora MPS is now conducting hot pursuit operation for the possible arrest of the suspect. The investigator on case is Po2 Marjuhn L Labiaga with contact no. 09213041768.

Arrest of Wanted Person

Elements of Midsalip MPS conducted police operation thru Intel driven against wanted person at Brgy. Tuluan, Midsalip, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 8:45 AM of October 6, 2017. The operation resulted to the arrest of Antonio Urabano Plesin, male, 45 years old, married, farmer and his son identified as Roel Bansal Plesin, male, 25 years old, married farmer both of aforementioned place by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of attempted homicide docketed under cc# m-3258, issued by Hon. Ronald C. Tolentino, Presiding Judge, 10th Municipal Circuit Trial Court Of Ramon Magsaysay-Midsalip-Sominot, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga Del Sur, dated august 22, 2017 with bail bond recommended fixed at (Php 12, 000.00). The accused were now temporarily detained at Midsalip MPS while waiting for court order.

Arrest of Wanted Person

Elements of Bayog MPS conducted manhunt operation at Purok 3, Barangay Kahayagan, Bayog, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 7:00 AM of October 6, 2017. The operation resulted in the arrest of Rolly Dotillos Araniego, 28 years old, single, tricycle driver and a resident of the above mentioned place. This is by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of rape in relation to RA 7610 issued by Hon. Benjamin R Lanzaderas, Presiding Judge, RTC9, Branch 22, Pagadian City with criminal case #13618-2k17 with no bail bond recommended. Arrested person is presently detained at Bayog MPS waiting for final adjudication from the court.

REPORTED INCIDENTS - October 6, 2017

Progress Report on Explosion

This pertains to the explosion incident transpired on September 2, 2017 at about 3:30 PM at Purok 11, Brgy. Poblacion, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur particularly at the house of Genalyn Vallecer Y Carpila wherein two minor victims identified as John Javier Bonga Y Vallecer, 3 years old who died on the spot while Raymund Maghinay Y Calayca, 3 years old, sustained multiple injuries was confined at Margosatubig Regional Hospital for medical treatment. EOD team from Zamboanga Del Sur PPO conducted post blast investigation and found that it was a 40mm ordnance that exploded based on the pieces of evidence collected/recovered at the crime scene.

Stabbing Incident

Stabbing incident transpired at Purok San Francisco, Barangay Alegria, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 6:30 PM of October 5, 2017 wherein victim identified as Anthony Tayrus Y Calunsag, 38 years old, married and a resident of Purok Daisy, Barangay Alegria, Pagadian City was stabbed to death suspect identified as henaro Fontanilla Y Malayan Jr., 30 years old, married of same place. Victim sustained a lone stab wound on his chest which caused his instantaneous death and further brought at Gamalinda Funeral Homes, Bulatok, Pagadian City. according to the witnesses Evelyn Igdos And Randy Igdos, the victim together with his wife Jennifer Malayan Tayrus stayed for a while in their house to watch television before going home when said suspect riding his single motorcycle roaming around along the road outside was approached by the victim however suspect got angry and took his bladed weapon and stabbed the victim and fled going to unknown direction riding his single motorcycle. The suspect is a relative of the victim’s wife who had a misunderstanding.

Operatives of Labangan MPS conducted police operation (service of warrant of arrest) at Purok Humirap, Brgy. Dimasangca, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 8:00 AM of October 5, 2017. This resulted in the arrest of Make Maruhom Y Macampao, 35 years old, married, farmer and a resident of the aforesaid place. This is by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Hon. Benjamin R. Lanzaderas, Presiding Judge Of Rtc Branch 21 Of The 9th Judicial Region, Pagadian City for the crime of violation of RA 10591 with criminal case number 13612-2k17 issued on September 19, 2017 at Pagadian City with recommended bail bond of eighty thousand pesos (php80, 000.00) for his temporary liberty. Subject person is now detained at Labangan MPS lock-up cell while waiting for court disposition.

This resulted in the arrest of Alfredo Sumagang Y Sinadhan, 45 years old, single, farmer and a resident of the aforesaid place. This is by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of sexual abuse under criminal case number 2013-450 issued by Hon. Jose L Escobido, Presiding Judge, RTC, 10th Judicial Region, Branch 37, Cagayan De Oro City, Missamis Orriental Dated September 13, 2013 with recommended bail bond of sixty thousand pesos (Php60, 000.00). Subject person is now detained at Tambulig MPS while waiting for the court disposition. 

REPORTED INCIDENTS - October 5, 2017

Hacking Incident

Hacking incident transpired at Purok Rose, Barangay Limason, Vincenzo Sagun, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 11:43 AM on October 3, 2017 wherein victim identified as Robert Mercado, 43 years old, married, farmer and resident of same place was hacked by Randy Dumpoc, legal age, single, jobless and resident of same place. Investigation conducted disclosed that the victim and suspect along with other companions/neighbors were having drinking session at the copra kiln located at Purok Rose, Barangay Limason, Vincenzo Sagun, Zamboanga Del Sur. During the course of their drinking session, the duo and some other companion were playing cards in said place and a heated argument/altercation ensued between them wherein the victim allegedly threw the playing cards outside, thereby the suspect got angry and hacked the victim several times. As a result, the victim sustained multiple hacked wound in the different parts of his body and was brought by his relatives to margosatubig regional hospital for medical treatment, while suspect fled on foot towards west direction going to mangrove areas. The suspect surrendered to his uncle at Barangay Waling-Waling, Vencinzu Sagun, Zamboanga Del Sur and subsequently turn-over to the responding PNP personnel of Vencinzu Sagun MPS around 3:00 pm of same date and presently detained at Vencinzu Sagun MPS for proper disposition.  

Arrest of Wanted Person

Combined operatives of Guipos MPS and Clarin MPS conducted police operation (service of arrest warrant) along national highway of Barangay Bagong Oroquita, Guipos, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 11:40 AM on October 04, 2017. The operation resulted in the arrest of Marlon Andrade Dapitan, (Top 10 Most Wanted Person in Lambat Sibat In Clarin MPS and listed as number 5 in target list (pusher) in Guipos MPS), 33 years old, single and resident of Purok 1a Barangay Poblacion, Guipos, Zambaonga Del Sur. The accused was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of homicide, docketed under cc# RTC- 6499, dated august 5, 2014, issued by Hon. Edmundo P Pintac, Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, 10th Judicial Region, Branch 15, Ozamis City, Misamis Occidental with bail bond recommended of (Php 40,000.00). The arrested subject person is now temporarily detained at Guipos MPS awaiting court disposition.

JUDGE ANALYN F. RAMAS-COSTANILLA-RTC, BRACH 30, AURORA, ZDS AGAINST CINDY BARDILLAS SANCHEZ, 24 YEARS OLD, MARRIED, FEMALE AND A RESIDENT OF AFOREMENTIONED PLACE. CONFISCATED FROM HER POSSESSION WERE: FIVE (5) RED SEALED PLASTIC OF SUSPECTED SHABU AND TWO (2) PIECES ALUMINUM FOILS. THIS LED TO THE ARREST OF RONALD APIAG, LEGAL AGE AND A RESIDENT OF BARANGAY BETINAN, SAN MIGUEL, ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR. THIS IS BY VIRTUE OF WARRANT OF ARREST FOR THE CRIME OF RAPE BY SEXUAL ABUSE DOCKETED UNDER CRIMINAL CASE NR. 16-163 ISSUED BY HON. RUBEN N. BANCE, PRESIDING JUDGE, RTC9, BRANCH 29, SAN MIGUEL, ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR WITH BAIL BOND RECOMMENDED OF ₱200,000.00. BY VIRTUE OF WARRANT OF ARREST FOR THE CRIME OF MURDER UNDER CRIM. CASE NO. 16-10,1341 ISSUED BY HON ANALYN F-RAMAS COSTANILLA, PRESIDING JUDGE, 9TH JUDICIAL REGION, BRANCH 30, AURORA, ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR DATED AUGUST 22, 2016 WITH NO BAIL BOND RECOMMENDED. REPORTED INCIDENT - October 3, 2017

Explosion Incident

An alleged explosion transpired at Purok 11, Brgy. Poblacion, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur. at about 3:30 PM of October 2, 2017. The victims were both a 3 years old minors, both residents of said place. Investigation showed that the victims were playing under the floor of the house of Genalyn Carpila Vallecer, auntie of the victims, unknowingly it was an undetermined explosive device they were playing, allegedly, struck a piece of stone and exploded, which resulted to the sudden death of one of the victim while the other minor was immediately brought to Margosatubig Regional Hospital for medication. According to the owner of the house while she was busy making a bamboo stick more or less eight (8) to ten (10) meters away from the children, suddenly, a huge explosion occurred particularly at location of the children. The said explosive device was allegedly discovered by the children somewhere nearby the house and was being played by them. The responding team recovered at the crime scene three (3) small pcs of deformed aluminum metallic sheet. The recovered items will be sent to crime laboratory for examination, and eventually for identification of said explosive. SHOOTING INCIDENT

ON OR ABOUT 6:30 PM OF OCTOBER 1, 2017, A SHOOTING INCIDENT TRANSPIRED AT AGORA PUBLIC MARKET, BARANGAY POBLACION, DINAS, ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR. THE VICTIM WAS IDENTIFIED AS ABUNOR CANANCAN MALIDO A.K.A. “NOREX”, 44 YEARS OLD, MALE, FILIPINO, BUSINESSMAN, AND A RESIDENT OF POBLACION, DINAS, ZDS. SAID VICTIM WAS LISTED AS TOP 1 HVT ON ILLEGAL DRUGS (PROVINCIAL LEVEL) AND A MEMBER OF AMBOL GROUP. INVESTIGATION DISCLOSED THAT THE VICTIM WAS CLEANING HIS VEGETABLES INSIDE HIS SARI-SARI STORE LOCATED AT AGORA PUBLIC MARKET, POBLACION, DINAS, ZDS TOGETHER WITH HIS WIFE JORMIA MALIDO WHEN SUDDENLY, ONE (1) UNIDENTIFIED PERSON WEARING A BLACK MASK APPEARED AND WITHOUT APPARENT REASON DREW AN UNDETERMINED CALIBER OF FIREARM AND SHOT THE AFOREMENTIONED VICTIM ONCE, HITTING ON THE BACK PORTION OF HIS BODY. VICTIM WAS IMMEDIATELY BROUGHT BY HIS WIFE TO CHAVEZ MEDICAL CENTER FOR MEDICAL TREATMENT AND WAS LATER TRANSFERRED TO A HIGHER MEDICAL FACILITY AT PAGADIAN CITY. THE SUSPECT IMMEDIATELY FLED TO UNKNOWN DIRECTION AFTER THE INCIDENT. ON OR ABOUT 9:00 PM OF SEPTEMBER 30, 2017, A SHOOTING INCIDENT TRANSPIRED AT PUROK 4, BARANGAY MARALAG, LAPUYAN, ZDS. SAID PLACE WAS A FAR-FLUNG OR MOUNTAINOUS AREA AND ACCORDINGLY, INFILTRATED WITH NEW PEOPLE’S ARMY (NPA). ACTING ON SAID REPORT, ELEMENTS OF LAPUYAN MPS PROCEEDED TO THE AREA ON THE FOLLOWING DAY OF OCTOBER 1, 2017 AT ABOUT 5:00 AM. UPON ARRIVAL AT SAID PLACE, THE VICTIM WAS IDENTIFIED AS RICKY TUMIMPONG TUMICLAS, 34 YEARS OLD, MALE, MARRIED AND A RESIDENT OF PUROK 4, BARANGAY MARALAG, LAPUYAN, ZDS. THE CADAVER OF THE VICTIM WAS ALREADY BROUGHT TO THEIR RESIDENCE. INVESTIGATION DISCLOSED THAT AT ABOUT 6:30 PM OF SEPTEMBER 30, 2017, THE VICTIM WAS ON HIS WAY HOME TOGETHER WITH HIS GIRLFRIEND LEAH CRISTOBAL DUMAGAL, 23 YEARS OLD, FEMALE, SEPARATED AND A RESIDENT OF PUROK 4, BARANGAY MARALAG, LAPUYAN, ZDS AND UPON REACHING AT PUROK 2, BARANGAY MARALAG OF SAME MUNICIPALITY, THREE (3) UNIDENTIFIED MALE SUSPECTS SUDDENLY APPROACHED THEM AND WITHOUT ANY PROVOCATION SHOT THE VICTIM SEVERAL TIMES AND HACKED ONCE THAT RESULTED TO HIS INSTANTANEOUS DEATH, WHILE HIS GIRLFRIEND WAS UNHURT. SAID VICTIM SUSTAINED MULTIPLE GUNSHOT WOUNDS ON THE DIFFERENT PARTS OF HIS BODY AND ONE (1) HACKED WOUND ON HIS NECK. EVIDENCE RECOVERED FROM THE CRIME SCENE WAS ONE (1) AMMUNITION OF CALIBER 45 PISTOL WHICH WAS TURNED-OVER BY THE CIVILIAN RESPONDER. ELEMENTS OF LAPUYAN MPS CONDUCTED THOROUGH INVESTIGATION AND FOLLOW-UP OPERATION TO POSSIBLY IDENTIFY, LOCATE AND ARREST THE FLEEING SUSPECTS. MOTIVE OF THE INCIDENT IS YET TO BE DETERMINED.
