Shooting Incident in Molave

Shooting incident transpired in front of Cebuana Lhuiller Pawnshop, Capistrano St., Maloloy-on, Molave, Zamboanga del Sur at about 6:00 PM of April 30, 2018.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that the victim identified as Lucio Quimado Almodiel, male, 38 years old, single, Habal-habal driver and resident of Pilapil Compound, Purok Dahlia, Maloloy-on, Molave was shot by unidentified suspect.

Further investigation conducted that the victim was seating on his Single MC Honda Wave R color red/black bearing Plate number Temp. 6263 JM motorcycle when suddenly suspect approached the victim armed with unknown firearm shot twice the victim hitting on the head that resulted to his sudden death.

Suspect run towards the get-away Rusi 125 color blue/white driven by an unidentified driver. fled away along Capistrano St. and Mabini St. Municipality of Molave.

Immediately victim was brought by responding PNP personnel to Igano Community Hospital for medical treatment and was pronounced dead after an hour of treatment.

Recovered in the crime scene was an empty shell of Calibre .45 firearm. Molave MPS is still now conducting thorough investigation to identify the motorcycle riding criminals and motive of the incident believed to be personal grudge.

Stabbing Incident in Dimataling

On April 30, 2018, at about 11:45 pm, a stabbing incident transpired at Purok 1, Brgy. Magahis, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur.  

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that victim was identified as one (1) Jimmy Mangaral Tuwawa, 42, Brgy. Kagawad, married, resident of said place.

Victim sustain stabbed wound to his right part of his abdomen and was brought by his relatives to Margosatubig Regional Hospital then subsequently transferred to Zamboanga del Sur Medical Center for further medication.

Suspect identified as one (1) Noroden Tilos Taratingan, 21, single, jobless, resident of Brgy. Molum, Lapuyan. Investigation disclosed that victim roaming around in the disco party when he pacifying trouble of two male persons suddenly suspect stabbed the victim without any apparent using 11 inches double bladed knife and run away but Edgar Saavedra together with the Barangay Tanods hurriedly follows the suspect and held by the responding civilians and Tanods.

Suspect was immediately turnover to the responding PNP personnel and brought to Dimataling for proper disposition and documentation.

Further, the place of incident with estimated distance from Dimataling MPS, More or less 64 kilometers means of transportation using patrol car vehicle with estimated time travel 3-4 hours; PNP personnel of Dimataling MPS still coordinating with the family of the victim for filling of case.

INCIDENT REPORTS - April 29, 2018

Man Arrested for Carrying FA in Pagadian City

On April 28, 2018 at about 5:30 PM, PNP personnel of Zamboanga Del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) conducted checkpoint operation at Purok Tugas, Barangay Balangasan, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur.

The checkpoint operation resulted to the arrest of one (1) Jerry Villanueva Y Apala, 46 years old, single and resident of Purok Masanagon, San Pedro, Pagadian City and confiscation of his caliber 38 revolver with defaced serial number and loaded with four (4) live ammunitions of same caliber.

Investigation conducted disclosed that one (1) single MC Honda Wave 110, color black, without plate number and boarded by three (3) male persons were flagged down by the above-mentioned personnel manning the checkpoint, when suddenly the driver along with one (1) back rider speed up and leaving alone the other back rider/suspect (Jerry Villanueva Y Apala).

The suspect was carrying a sling bag containing one (1) caliber 38 revolver. The suspect failed to present legal documents authorizing him to carry such firearm.

The suspect was immediately arrested and brought to Pagadian CPS for detention. Appropriate case is now being prepared for filing in court against the suspect.

REPORTED INCIDENT - April 29, 2018

Shooting Incident in Tukuran

Shooting incident transpired at Purok Pugapo, Barangay Alindahaw, Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 12:15 AM of April 29, 2018. The victim was identified as Suharto Panduma Calib, 46 year old, married, painter by occupation and resident of Purok Kinhason, Barangay Panduma, Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur. The suspect was also identified as PFC Gil Mirantes Tayros, active member of Philippine Army assigned at 11drc, stationed at Marawi City. Investigation conducted disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim and his companion arrived at the store owned by the mother of the suspect of said place to buy a bottle of beer, when a heated argument ensued between them. Allegedly, the suspect suddenly got a short firearm inside their house and shot the victim four (4) times hitting on his left and right calf (feet). The victim was immediately brought to Aiza Hospital for immediate medical treatment, while suspect was immediately arrested at Purok Pugapo, Barangay Alindahaw, Tukuran Zamboanga Del Sur by the responding PNP personnel of Tukuran MPS. The firearm used by the suspect believed to be caliber 45 pistol and was not recovered in his possession during his arrest. The suspect is now temporary detained at Tukuran Municipal Detention Center, while an inquest case for frustrated homicide is being prepared for filing in court. REPORTED INCIDENT - April 28, 2018

Vehicular Traffic Accident in Ramon Magsaysay

On April 26, 2018at about 7:30 P.M, Vehicular Traffic Accident transpired along the National Highway, vicinity of Purok 3, Sitio Alang-Alang, Brgy. Poblacion, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga del Sur (near IBJ Terminal) involving two (2) motor vehicles. Motor vehicle No. 1. Bongo Mazda bearing Plate No. ADO 6179, driven by Teves, Marcelino Pielago, 33 years old, male, married, of Pagadian City and Motor vehicle No. 2. Single motorcycle Moto posh color black without Plate No., driven by Jonathan Apari y Ortega, 26 years old, male, married security guard. Investigation disclosed that while MV No. 1 Bongo Mazda was traversing from Ozamis City bound for Pagadian City without headlight (however the driver used a flashlight) and upon reaching at the vicinity of Purok 3, Sitio Alang-alang, Brgy. Poblacion, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga del Sur, it accidentally came into contact with MV No. 2. Single Motorcycle Motoposh color black that was traversing in opposite manner going to the direction of Molave, Zambo. Sur. As a result thereof, MV No. 1. Bongo Mazda incurred damage particularly in the left door while MV No. 2. Single Motorcycle Motoposh color black was totally wrecked. Both drivers sustained injuries that were brought to Blancia Hospital, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur for immediate medical treatment. Both MV’s were brought to Ramon Magsaysay MPS for safekeeping. Murder Suspect Arrested in Kumalarang

On April 27, 2018at about 8:40 AM, PNP personnel of Kumalarang MPS together with personnel from Kitaan-Dagat Detachment Philippine Army arrested a Top 7 most wanted at Barangay Kitaan-Dagat, Kumalarang, Zamboanga Del Sur. Arrested was Lolito Dumasdas Tanggasing (Top 7 Most Wanted Person Municipal Level), 33, single, construction worker, resident of Purok-2, Brgy. Kitaan-Dagat, Kumalarang. This is for the crime of Murder with Criminal Case No. 13527-2k17 issued by Hon. Romeo T. Descallar, Presiding Judge of RTC 9, Branch 19, Pagadian City with no bail recommended. Accused is now temporarily detained at Kumalarang MPS for proper disposition.

Joint gov’t troops arrested 2 persons in Pagadian Drug Bust

Combined elements of Intel Branch of Zamboanga Del Sur PPO and PDEA conducted anti-illegal drug operation (buy-bust) at Puok Santol, Brgy Tuburan, Pagadian City at about 5:00 PM of April 27, 2018. This resulted to the arrest of the following: Rhonabelle Agua Taculoy @ rhona; @ eme; juniely clamor @ honey; manuel palariun ertiga @ maning and Ruel Superable Himaya @ digong; all of legal ages and resident of Pagadian City. Confiscated from their possession and control were:

-two (2) big heat sealed sachets;

-one (1) medium size;

-six (6) small heat sealed sachets containing of white crystalline substance believed to be shabu more or less 12 grams and estimated market value of thirty five thousand pesos (php35,000.00);

-one (1) piece one thousand peso bill as buy-bust money; one (1) pack aluminum foil; seven (7) disposable lighters;

-one (1) improvise bamboo clip and one (1) coin purse. 

Suspects are now temporarily detained at PDEA lock-up cell while case for violation of section 5 in relation to section 26, section 6,7,11,12 and 15 art ii of RA 9165 are now being prepared for immediate filing court against the suspects.

INCIDENT REPORTS - April 27, 2018

Murder Suspect Arrested in Kumalarang

PNP elements of Kumalarang MPS conducted police operation on service of warrant of arrest at Purok 2, Barangay Kitaan-Dagat, Kumalarang, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 6:30 PM of April 26, 2018. This resulted in the arrest of Alvin Mandag Pasisil, 20 years old, married, construction worker and a resident of said place by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of murder under criminal case no. 13527-2k17 issued by Hon. Romeo T. Descallar, Presiding Judge, RTC9, Branch 19, Pagadian City with no bail recommended. Arrested accused is now temporarily detained at Kumalarang MPS detention for proper disposition.

Murder Suspect Arrested in Dinas

Combined operatives of Dinas MPS, Regional Special Operations Group – Task Force Tugis Regional Intelligence Division 9; 902nd Mobile Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 9 and Zamboanga Del Sur Mobile Force Company conducted law enforcement operation at Barangay Ludiong, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 3:00 AM of April 27, 2018.  Arrested was Lemuel Busia Gapol, 42 years old, Farmer and a resident of Barangay Ludiong, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur. The suspect committed the crime of Murder docketed under Criminal Case Number 17-065 and has a WA issued by Hon. Ruben N. Bance, Presiding Judge, RTC Branch 29, San Miguel dated July 17, 2017. 3. The accused is now temporary detained at Dinas MPS lock-up cell while waiting the court order for proper disposition.

INCIDENT REPORTS - April 26, 2018

Fire Incident in Pagadian City

On or about 9:25 in the morning of April 26, 2018, a fire incident transpired at Purok Kapalaran, Barangay Balangasan, Pagadian City wherein the two (2) storey semi-concrete residence owned by Mr Tenny Quirog was razed by fired and started to escalate to the house of his relative Marygrace Quirog, Natividad Quirog and other house nearby. Upon receipt of said report, PNP elements of Pagadian City Police Station immediately coordinated with the BFP and proceeded to the place of incident. Initial investigation revealed that, according to the witnesses, fire started at one of the rooms of said house were the air conditioned system was installed. The said house was immediately razed by fire and escalated to the near houses. The BFP declared fire out at around 10:20 in the morning of same date and no casualties reported but unfortunately, FO2 Nathaniel Maghinay was slightly injured during the incident. BFP investigator is now conducting in depth investigation to determine the cause of fire. The estimated cost of damage was more or less One Million Pesos (P1, 000,000.00).

Dead Body Found in Aurora

On or about 11:00 AM of April 26, 2018, a dead body was found at Barangay Kahayagan West, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur.  Initial investigation conducted disclosed that, at around 10:30 AM of same date, certain Dionesio Entero, 75 years old, married, farmer and a resident of Purok Dongallo, Barangay Kahayagan West, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur was cleaning the surroundings when he smelled a foul odor coming from there barn that prompted him to verify. Upon his verification, he saw his cousin identified as Porferio Bayo Y Libre alias “Loloy”, 59 years old, single, livestock merchandiser and a resident of Barangay Maguikay, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur and temporarily residing at Purok Dongallo, Barangay Kahayagan West, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur was found dead and lying lifeless  inside the barn of Dionesio Entero. That said person was always at the barn were he usually stayed and slept. Further investigation revealed that, prior to the incident, at around 8:00 AM of April 22, 2018, said victim told his neighbor Crispin Baldecantos y Sungcalan that he was suffering from a chest pain his neighbor advised him to have a medical check-up. INCIDENT REPORTS - April 26, 2018

Suicide Incident in Tigbao

Suicide incident transpired at Purok 3, Barangay Busol, Tigbao, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 6:40 AM on April 25, 2018. The victim was identified as Danny Boy Pilapil Pelayo, 21 years old, single, operator of Mana Rice Mill of Purok 7, Barangay Nilo, Tigbao, Zamboanga Del Sur and resident of said place. Investigation conducted disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim went to the house of his brother in law Jonilo Maano Perez At Purok 7, Barangay Nilo, Tigbao, Zamboanga Del Sur. On April 24, 2018 at about 8:00pm the victim and his brother in law were having drinking session thereat, while on the course of their drinking session, the latter (brother in law) confronted the former (victim) about the health of the horse which was entrusted by the victim. The victim replied and insisted that he take care of the horse. The victim cried and left the area and proceeded to the house of his sister Vicenta Quimbo located at Purok 3, Barangay Busol, Tigbao, Zamboanga Del Sur.  Unfortunately, on the following day of April 25, 2018 at about 5:00 am, the victim was found hanging at the tree by Vergelio Cejas Y Villarobia, At Purok 3, Barangay Busol, Tigbao, Zamboanga Del Sur. The victim committed suicide by using stranded electrical wire and tied on his neck. The initial motive of the incident believed to be a depression. pnp personnel of tigbao mps conducted thorough investigation to possibly determine whether there is foul play involved. REPORTED INCIDENT - April 25, 2018

Shooting Incident in Midsalip

Zamboanga Del Sur - Shooting incident transpired at Purok 4, Brgy. Palili, Midsalip Zamboanga Del Sur at about 2:00 PM of April 24, 2018. The victim was identified as Marcelo Mangatol Mahalumbay, 63 years old, married farmer and a resident of Poblacion B, Midsalip, Zamboanga Del Sur. The suspect was identified as Lito Cabural Dumagao, 37 years old, married, farmer and a resident of Purok 4, Brgy Palili, Midsalip, who immediately surrendered himself to Rodolfo C. Camadote, Punong Barangay of Palili, Midsalip to include the firearm he used for the crime, a Cal 38. Revolver (homemade) and one (1) live ammo of cal. 38. Meanwhile, at about 6:15 pm of the same date, the suspect was subsequently turned-over by the Rodolfo Camadote, Punong Brgy, Palili, Midsalip to the PNP personnel of Midsalip MPS.  Further investigation revealed that the victim got angry to the suspect after his corn crops was eaten by the cow of the suspect. During confrontation, the victim and the suspect had a commotion that resulted the suspect shot the victim once, hitting the abdomen that resulted to his sudden death. Shooting incident in Pagadian City

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga Del Sur (April 25, 2018) – A man was shot to death by riding in tandem Tuesday, 11:20pm at Gate 11 Agora, Barangay Sta. Lucia in this city.

Case Investigator PO2 Mizrach S. Lapid identified the victim as Warlito Ogdamin Basalo, 43 years old, male, live-in, laborer and resident of Purok Talong, Barangay Balintawak in this city.

PO2 Lapid disclosed that in the initial investigation, on or about 11:00pm of the same date, the victim having drinking spree with his live-in partner named Omalia Anyora Calinao and other companion at Gate 11, Agora Market, Barangay Sta. Lucia. Suddenly two unidentified male person riding a single motorcycle appeared and the back rider shot the victim-using caliber .45 pistol based on the empty shell recovered. The victim sustained one (1) gunshot wound on his head that caused his instantaneous death.

The suspect fled away going to Araullo Street. The personnel of Pagadian City Police Station requests the SOCO team assistance to process the crime scene. The investigator has coordinated with the victim’s families to determine the motive of the incident and the possible identification of the suspect.  

REPORTED INCIDENTS - April 24, 2018

Stabbing and Arrest of Suspect in Dinas

On or about 6:00pm of April 23, 2018, Hon. Lydya Albanya, Barangay Captain of Legarda Tres, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur appeared and turned-over to Dinas MPS a person identified as Altemyo E Bugay, 56 years old, male, farmer, a resident of Purok Dos, Barangay Legarda, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur.  Said person was a suspect of stabbing incident transpired at Purok Macopa, Barangay Legarda, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur.

Initial investigation revealed that at around 4:30 PM of same date, the victim identified as Marcelino Ebalora Bugay, 46 years old, male, farmer, a resident of Purok Dos, Barangay Legarda, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur. The victim was riding a horse heading towards his house and upon reaching at the place of incident, he saw his brother (suspect) Altemyo and had heated arguments and they were yelling at each other about their previous misunderstanding, which prompted the suspect to draw his bolo, and stabbed his brother on his left leg and fell into the ground. The suspect was not contended but still, he chased the victim and stabbed him on his left breast. After the incident, suspect fled towards unknown direction.  said victim was immediately brought to Chavez medical hospital clinic for immediate medical treatment. After a few minutes later, Altemyo surrendered himself to Hon. Albanya and he was then turned-over to Dinas MPS for proper disposition. Theft Suspect Arrested in Guipos

PNP elements of Guipos MPS conducted police operation (service of warrant of arrest) at Purok Ipil-Ipil, Barangay Canunan, Guipos, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 3:20 pm of april 23, 2018. The operation resulted to the arrest of Danilo Alajenio Alboroto, 47 years old, married, fish vendor and a resident of said place. subject person has pending warrant of arrest for the crime of theft docketed under Criminal Case No. 470-05 issued by Hon. Marciana Q Degema, Judge Of Municipal Trial Court In Cities, Branch 1, Ilo-Ilo City Dated August 14, 2006 with bail bond recommended ten thousand pesos (P10,000.00).  Accused now temporarily detained at Guipos MPS for proper disposition.

Wanted Person Arrested in Molave

PNP elements of Molave MPS conducted police operation (service of warrant of arrest) at Mabini Street, Barangay Maloloy-On, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 8:20 AM of April 23, 2019. This resulted to the arrest of Rey Enecuela Compayan, 36 years old, married, a resident of Purok 2, Barangay Upper Dimorok, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur. The arrested person has pending warrant of arrest for the crime of grave oral defamation docketed under Criminal Case No. 7160 Issued By Hon. Mary Ann D. Real-Jamero, Presiding Judge, MTC, 9th Judicial Region, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur Dated June 18, 2015 with recommended bail bond of Six Thousand Pesos (P6,000.00). The arrested subject person is presently detained at Molave MPS for proper disposition.

REPORTED INCIDENTS - April 23, 2018

8 Individuals Held for Illegal Gambling in Tigbao

on or about 11:30 AM of April 23, 2018, joint PNP elements of Tigbao MPS together with Provincial Anti-Illegal Gambling Special Operation Task Group (PAIGSOTG) conducted police operation (Anti-Illegal Gambling Operation) at Purok 7, Barangay Maragang, Tigbao, Zamboanga del Sur. The operation resulted to the arrest of eight (8) personalities who were caught in the act engaged in the illegal horse fighting identified namely: Charlemagne Berbanio Y Traya alias “Ecloy”, 44 years old, married, a resident of Purok 7, Brgy. Maragang, Tigbao, who acted as promoter; Lorenso Gaston Y Albatera, 42 years old, married, residing at Purok 6, Brgy. Lacupayan, Tigbao, ZDS, the horse owner; Jeffrey Jacob Y Gallegos, 24 years old, single, residing at Purok 5, Brgy. Gatub, Kumalarang, horse owner; Abdulwahab Pangulima Y Balimbingan, 45 years old, married, residing at Poblacion Kumalarang, as the referee; Crisvic Ogoc Y Gabule, 32 years old, married, residing at Brgy. Malasik, Dumalinao, - bettor; Elvin Ian Rabe Y Dela Victoria, residing at Purok Durian, Brgy.  Malasik, Dumalinao, Reden Abuga-A Y Pabayos, 49 years old, married also residing at Brgy. Malasik, Dumalinao, - bettor; and Ricky Camporedondo Y Pagasian, 41 years old, married a resident of Purok 1, Brgy. Gatub, Kumalarang, - bettor. The operating team confiscated Ten Thousand Pesos (P10,000.00) as bet money, whistle, tape measure, two (2) male fighting horses and one (1) female horse. Arrested persons and evidences recovered are now under the custody of Tigbao MPS for proper documentation and disposition. Dead Body Found in Aurora

On April 22, 2018 at about 4:30 PM, a dead body was found at Purok Assumption, Barangay Inasagan, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur. Aurora MPS identified the victim as Riglyn Labiste Y Sapine, 32 years old, single with live-in partner, jobless and resident of Sitio Tagodalo, Barangay Bayabas, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur. She was found dead at the grassy portion of Purok Assumption, Barangay Inasagan, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur. Victim sustained three (3) gunshot wounds on his body, head, and chin. The cadaver was in the stage of decomposition recovered at the crime scene was one (1) slipper color blue and one (1) bonnet, color gray. Investigation conducted disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim left his residence on April 19, 2018 at about 7:00 AM, purposely to look for a job. PNP personnel of Aurora MPS conducted thorough investigation and follow up operation to possibly identify, locate and arrest the suspect. INCIDENT REPORTS - April 22, 2018

Fragmentation Grenades in Dimataling

Two (2) MK2 Fragmentation Grenades discovered separately by barangay folks at Purok 10, Brgy Codilog and Purok 5, Sitio Guling, Tiniguangan all of Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur.  PNP personnel of Dimataling MPS proceeded to Purok 10, Brgy Codilog, Dimataling at around 9:00 O’clock in the morning of April 21, 2018, a team of EOD led by SPO1 Reuben G Balido with PO2 Urot and PO1 Abalo arrived in the area and conducted ocular inspection. Subject UXO was detonated as a method of an explosive disposal as its transportation is no longer feasible. The team proceeded at Purok 5, Sitio Guling, Brgy. Tiniguangan, Dimataling ZDS another UXO, MK2 Fragmentation Grenade was discovered at around 3:00 O’clock in the afternoon being placed in cleave of unknown tree species in its trunk. The EOD team detonated as its recovery, the team returned station at about 4:00 O’clock in the afternoon the same day with no incidents noted.

Rape Suspect Arrested in San Pablo

PNP personnel of San Pablo MPS conducted campaign against Wanted Person particularly at Saragoza Street, Poblacion, Iligan City at about 8:00 AM of April 21, 2018. The operation resulted to the successful arrest of one (1) Marwin Albatera Manceras aka “Kuya Edod” 30 years old, single, and a resident of Purok Basalo, Barangay Kapamanok, San Pablo, Zamboanga del Sur. The suspect arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest docketed under cc# 12155-2K15 for the crime of Rape issued by Honorable Benjamin L. Lanzaderas, Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court 9th Judicial Region Br 22, Pagadian City. The case with bail recommended for his provisional liberty is hereby fixed at One Hundred Twenty Thousand pesos (P120,000.00). Accused is now temporary detained at San Pablo MPS lock-up cell while waiting the court order of the issuing court for proper disposition.

Cadaver Found in Tigbao

Tigbao, Zamboanga Del Sur - On or about 6:00 AM of April 20, 2018, an unidentified dead body was found at Purok 4, Barangay Lacupayan, Tigbao Zamboanga Del Sur. The unidentified male cadaver was lying in a prone position at the shoulder of the road particularly at Purok 4, Barangay Lacupayan, Tigbao Zamboanga Del Sur. He sustained wound on his head, contusion/bruises circling on his neck. Description of the human cadaver with mushroom haircut, artificially blonde, with tattoos quote “ Trivial Tattoo on the right shoulder, right arm wrist, Marlou figure tattoo at the left side of his body, rose, rosary, spade symbol tattoo on the right portion of his body”. The victim has no identification cards, no slippers, wearing black sweatshirt, black long pants, aging 20 to 25 years old, 5’0 to 5’2” in height. Tigbao MPS then requested the SOCO Crime Laboratory, Camp Abelon, Pagadian City for proper processing of the crime scene with the presence of Dr. Grayvimin S. Figueras, Municipal Health Officer of Tigbao Rural Health Unit, Tigbao Zamboanga del Sur. After the processing of the scene there was no pieces of evidence recovered. Tigbao MPS investigator PO2 Christian Harris Jakiri B. Carcallas with contact no. 09207176142 is now conducting follow-up investigation to identify the identity of the victim as well as the cause of death and the weapon used. The cadaver now lies at Gamalinda Funeral Homes of Pagadaian City for proper disposition.

Dead Body Found in Dumalinao

Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur – On or about 5:00 AM of April 20, 2018, a dead body found at Purok Lapu-lapu Brgy Tickwas, Dumalinao. The  victim was wearing black t-shirt and black short pants, more or less 5’2 to 5’4” in height , about 30 to 35 years old, wearing white sleepers marked supreme, with left earing and a crown tattoo on his left chest with marking Pagayao. Victim sustained two (2) gunshot wounds, one (1) on his head and one (1) on his right stomach. Responding team recovered two (2) empty shells of cal. 45 pistols at the crime scene, which caused of his instantaneous death. Dumalinao MPS investigator PO2 Keene James T. Jayme- 09102490367 is now conducting follow-up investigation for the possible identification of the victim and apprehension of the suspect. Motive of the incident is still to be determined.

Motor Vehicular Traffic Accident in Dumalinao

Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur - a motor vehicular traffic accident transpired at National Highway of Purok Talaba, Barangay Camanga, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur on April 19, 2018 at about 3:00 PM. The vehicles involves are One (1) single MC XRM, color black, bearing plate number 8297 JA, driven by FERNANDO BALOMAGA CORDOVA, 53 years old, married and resident of Purok 3B, Barangay Guipos, Dumalinao,  Zamboanga del Sur. One (1) Ford Ranger, black color, bearing plate number IJ 0311, driven by Nasber Insan Sam, 31 years old, single, DENR driver of Province of Julo Sulo, ARMM, and resident of HB homes subdivision, Pasonanca, Zamboanga City. Investigation conducted disclosed that subject single MC Honda XRM was traversing from Pagadian City bound to Guipos Municipality of this province, while the Ford Ranger was traversing from Zamboanga City bound to Cotabato City. Upon reaching at the National Highway of Purok Talaba, Barangay Camanga, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur particularly at the intersection of said place, accidentally met into contact. As a result, the driver of single MC sustained injury on his body and was rushed to Zamboanga del Sur Medical Center for immediate medical treatment. Implementation of Search Warrant in San Pablo

San Pablo, Zamboanga del Sur - Combined PNP personnel of Zamboanga Del Sur PPO, CIDG, 903RD Maritime PNP and San Pablo MPS conducted police operation (Implementation of Service of Search Warrant Numbers 2018-15,  2018-16, and 2018- 17). The Search Warrant issued by Hon. Pacifico T. Cimafranca, Jr., Presiding Judge of 8th MCTC, Dumalinao - San Pablo – Tigbao – Guipos and Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur. The operation conduction at the house of Dido Adal Y Singh at Barangay Bubual, San Pablo, Zamboanga del Sur on April 19, 2018 at about 6:30 PM. The law enforcement operation resulted to the successful arrest of Dido Adal Y Singh, legal age and resident of the above-mentioned place and seizure of the following items, to wit: One (1) Caliber 45 pistol, Norinco, bearing serial number 754135; One (1) magazine assembly for caliber 45 pistol; and Seven (7) pieces live ammunitions of caliber 45. While the implementation of Search Warrant Numbers 2018 -16 and 2018-17, yielded negative result. During the implementation of Search Warrants, it was witnessed by the Barangay Kagawads of Bubual, San Pablo, Zamboanga Del Sur.  The arrested person to include the items seized was brought to CIDG for proper disposition.

Shooting Incident in Pagadian City

Shooting incident transpired at Agora Market, Sta. Lucia, Pagadian City at about 2:40 AM of April 18, 2018 fronting Gate 10. The victim was as Kashmer Dapulan Bayan, 17 years old, male, single and resident of Barangay Lower Campo Islam, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur. Initial investigation conducted disclosed that, victim together with his friends identified as Aron Toncayo Salilauna, Raffy Ambulinog Bagoa were onboard on their friends tricycle with cab no. 193 owned and driven by Ahmad Siddique Dapulan Ponga when after playing internet games at level 21 internet café located at Barangay Lubmia, Pagadian City, said driver decided to gas up his tricycle at Petron gasoline Station, Barangay Sta. Lucia, Pagadian City unknowingly they were being followed by two (2) motor riding suspects. Upon reaching at the place of incident, the suspects blocked their way and the back rider wearing a face masked immediately disembarked and at gun point demanded their cell phones. After they took their cellular phones, one of the suspects shot them twice hitting on the victim’s head. Right after the incident, suspects fled towards Dablo Street, Pagadian City while victim was rushed to Mendero Hospital, Barangay San Francisco, Pagadian City for immediate medical treatment. PNP elements of Pagadian CPS conducted hot pursuit operation but yielded negative result. The most possible motive of the incident was robbery. Personnel from Pagadian CPS are now conducting follow-up investigation for the possible identification and apprehension of the motor riding suspects. Man Arrested for the Crime of Reckless Imprudence resulting to Homicide in Dumingag

Combined elements of Mahayag MPS and PNP personnel of Dumingag MPS conducted joint manhunt operation at Purok Dancing Lady, Barangay San Pedro, Dumingag, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 1:00 PM of April 18, 2018. This resulted in the arrest of Nonic Sansa Tangkay, 46 years old, married, LGU Casual Employee, a resident of aforesaid place for the crime of Reckless Imprudence resulting to Homicide docketed under Criminal Case No. 5117-d with bail bond recommended for his temporary liberty fixed in the amount of Twelve Thousand Pesos (P12, 000.00) issued by Presiding Judge Crislyn C. Pangindian, 11th Municipal Circuit Trial Court of Mahayag-Dumingag and Josefina, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur, Ninth Judicial Region, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur. Murder Suspect Arrested in Mahayag

Zamboanga Del Sur - PNP elements of Mahayag MPS conducted service of warrant of arrest at Purok 2, Barangay Poblacion, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur at around 9:30 AM of April 17, 2018.

The operation resulted to the arrest of Mayon Gonsagon Y Macasalong, 40 years old, married, farmer and a resident of P-6 Barangay DMC, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur.

Subject person was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Hon. Jaime B. Caberte, Presiding Judge Of Branch 23, Regional Trial Court of 9th Judicial Region, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur for the crime of frustrated murder and double attempted murder docketed under Criminal Case No. 2018-10-3526.

The Warrant of Arrest dated April 5, 2018 with a bail bond of Two Hundred Twenty Thousand Pesos (Php220,000.00) for his temporary liberty.

The accused is now temporarily detained Mahayag MPS detention cell while waiting for final adjudication from court.

REPORTED INCIDENT - April 17, 2018

Shooting Incident in Pagadian City

Shooting incident transpired at Purok Upo Uno, Brgy. Balintawak, Pagadian City at about 10:20 PM of April 16, 2018. The victim was identified as Ramil Looc Tagalog, 23 years old, male, single and resident of Purok Tisa, Barangay Balintawak, Pagadian City. investigation conducted disclosed that prior to the incident, at around 10:20 PM of same date, the victim along with his three (3) companions identified as Rodelyn Padogdog (niece of victim), Fredilindo Solis (boyfriend of Rodelyn Padogdog), and certain Leny were on the boulevard located at Barangay Santiago, Pagadian City. Meanwhile, at about 10:00 PM, they decided to go home onboard on a tricycle driven by Fredilino Solis along with Rodelyn and Leny, while the victim rode his motorcycle alone. while the victim traversing at national highway of Purok Sili, Barangay Balintawak, Pagadian City, two (2) an unidentified motorcycle riding criminals onboard on undetermined type of single mc, suddenly chased and drove beside the motorcycle driven by the victim and without any apparent reason shot the victim in closed range using caliber 45 pistol. As a result, the victim sustained lone gunshot wound on his head that resulted to his instantaneous death, while suspects fled towards undetermined direction. PNP personnel of Provincial Crime Laboratory Office arrived at the crime scene and was able to recover one (1) unit cartridge case of caliber 45 pistol. PNP personnel of Pagadian Cps conducted thorough investigation and follow up operation to possibly identify, locate and arrest the fleeing suspects while motive of the incident is still to be determined.

Reported Incidents - April 15, 2018

Suicide Incident in Dumalinao

On or about 9:00 PM on April 13, 2018, a suicide incident transpired at Purok Acacia, Barangay Anonang, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur. The victim identified as Fernando Magalso Amolo, 59 years old, widow and resident of same place. He was found hanging lifeless at his house of said place. Investigation conducted disclosed that around 9:00 PM of same date, the victim was found hanging lifeless at his house with chain tied on his neck.  Further investigation disclosed that victim attempting to commit suicide many times and believed to be mentally ill and previously convicted for the crime of parricide. PNP personnel of Dumalinao MPS conducted thorough investigation to possibly determine whether there is foul play involved.

Shooting Incident in San Pablo

On or about 8:20 PM on April 13, 2018 a shooting incident transpired at Purok Talisay, Barangay Ticala, San Pablo, Zamboanga Del Sur. The victim identified as Abdul Samal Cabaron, 43 years old, married, fisherman and resident of said place, while suspect identified as Askuna Samal, legal age and resident of same place. Investigation conducted disclosed that victim was walking at the above-mentioned place of incident going to his home, when suddenly the said suspect shot the victim using undetermined caliber of firearm. As a result, victim sustained gunshot wounds on his left foot ankle and right buttocks and was immediately rushed to Aisha Hospital, Pagadian City for immediate medical treatment, while suspect fled towards undetermined direction after the incident. The initial motive of the incident believed to be clan war (rido). PNP personnel of San Pablo MPS conducted thorough investigation and follow up operation to possibly locate, arrest the suspect and file appropriate case in court.  The investigator is PO3 Rolly T Delos Santos with cellphone number 09076187897.

Robbery Incident in Mahayag

On or about 8:00pm of April 14, 2018. A robbery incident transpired at the house owned by spouses Jovita Bagaslao Niza, 69 years old, house wife and Sergio Villazur Niza Jr, 66 years old, farmer both residents of Purok 3, Barangay Guripan, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur. Initial investigation conducted disclosed that at around 7:45pm of same date while said victims together with Alejandro Rota Montefalcon (paid laborer) were taking their dinner inside their house when suddenly two (2) unidentified male personalities armed with a hand gun entered their house and pointed them and uttered words in visayan dialect “tulis ni! kwarta lay among tuyo”. Then, victim (sergio niza jr) manage to struggle and was able to grab the hand on one of the suspects and fortunately took the caliber .357 revolver pointed at him.  However, the other suspect fired at him twice using a caliber .45. The victim managed to retaliate by using the cal. 357 revolver. As a result, victim sustained a gunshot wounds on his left ring finger and right leg and was immediately brought to LTMPC Hospital, Poblacion, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur for immediate medical attention. Suspects fled towards Barangay Panagaan, Mahayag, Zamboaga Del Sur. Recovered from the crime scene two (2) fired cartridges of caliber .45 and the victim Sergio Niza Jr turned-over to investigator on case one (1) caliber .357 revolver with two (2) live ammunition and two (2) empty shells inside the cylinder which he took from one of the suspects. PNP personnel of Mahayag MPS conducted follow investigation for possible arrest of the suspect. The investigator is Po2 Ariel Urot Saloma with contact number 09120991246.

Shooting Incident in Tabina

On or at about 9:45 pm of April 14, 2018. A shooting incident transpired at Purok Sidlak, Barangay Capisan, Tabina, Zamboanga Del Sur. Initial investigation conducted disclosed that at around 9:30 PM of same date, the warehouse owned by Marioa Estrebor Sajulga, 44 years old, married, businessman, former barangay captain and a resident of Purok 1, Barangay Matin-Ao, Pitogo, Zamboanga Del Sur and planning to run for barangay captain of barangay matin-ao of same municipality was shot by unidentified persons using a Cal 5.56mm rifle based on the forty two (42) pcs of fired cartridge cases of same caliber recovered at the crime scene. Further investigation revealed that, prior to the incident, the said owner was fixing the battery of his bonggo (Mazda) parked outside his warehouse while his family were all inside the warehouse watching television. Fortunately, nobody was hurt during the incident. Right after the incident, suspect fled towards the ravine area of Barangay Matinao, Pitogo, Zamboanga Del Sur. Electrocution Incident in Pagadian City

Pagadian City - An electrocution incident transpired at Purok Palmera, Balangasan District, Pagadian City at about 11:30 PM of April 12, 2018 wherein victim identified as Jan Anthony Lacumber Duran, 21 years old, male, single, student and resident of Purok Palmera, Balangasan District, Pagadian City. The victim was unconscious and immediately brought at Borbon Hospital, Balangasan District, Pagadian City for medical treatment. Initial investigation conducted by Pagadian CPS disclosed that according to Melvyn Ladion Monterola Jr., that at about 11:00 pm of the same date, he accompanied the victim going to their house to get something. When they reach near the said house, they park their single motorcycle and Melvyn Ladion Monterola Jr was left at the motorcycle and the victim walked going to the gate of their house. Melvyn Ladion Monterola Jr. noticed that the victim never returned back which he decided to follow and check what happen. Melvyn Ladion Monterola Jr. was shock when he saw the victim unconscious at the upper portion of the gate and the face was on the electric pull box placed at the wall. Melvyn Ladion Monterola Jr. believed that the victim was electrocuted. Immediately asked for assistance. The investigator on case informs the electric company of Zamsureco regarding the incident and the personnel of them arrived at the area and able to conduct their assessment.

Gun For Hire Personality Arrested in Dinas

Zamboanga Del Sur - Joint elements of Regional Special Operation Group, Dinas MPS and 902nd Mobile Company of Regional Mobile Force Battalion Company 9 conducted service of warrant of arrest at Brgy. Don Jose, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 9:00 PM of April 12, 2018. This resulted in the arrest of Marcus Isong by virtue of warrant of arrest docketed under cc# 03-012 issued by Hon. Edilberto Absin, Presiding Judge, RTC Br 29, San Miguel, Zamboanga Del Sur dated November 24, 2003 for murder. Said fugitive, along with certain Gilbert Bualat and Renato Fuentevilla (at large), are believed to be responsible for a couple of contract killings in the AOR, upon which, some of the arrest warrants issued against the members of this group have emanated. Be further informed that Gilbert Bualat and Renato Fuentevilla, thru intercession of some politicians, are now signifying for their surrender. Arrested person was detained at Dinas MPS for proper disposition.

Zamboanga Del Sur - Joint elements of Regional Special Operation Group, Dinas MPS and 902nd Mobile Company of Regional Mobile Force Battalion Company 9 conducted service of warrant of arrest at about 2:20 AM of April 13, 2018 at Purok 5, Brgy. Lucoban, Dinas Zamboanga Del Sur. This resulted in the arrest of Atu Bidu (Apdal Usman Bidu) for violation of PD 532 (robbery in band) issued by Hon. Ruben N. Bance, Presiding Judge, Rtc Branch 29, San Miguel, Zamboanga Del Sur, dated July 17, 2017. The arrested person (Atu Bido) is responsible in the deadly Baganian Bus Transit robbery incident sometime last October of 2016 that resulted to the death of the bus driver identified as Diosdado Retiza. Arrested person is now voluntarily admitting complicity and/or involvement in the deadly heist/robbery and is naming other suspects in the questioned incident. Subject arrested person is now undergoing tactical interrogation and booking procedure at Dinas MPS for proper disposition.

Drug Suspect Arrested in Tukuran

Zamboanga Del Sur - PNP elements Tukuran MPS conducted buy-bust operation at Purok Rizal, Barangay Santo Niño, Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 9:15 PM of April 12, 2018. The operation resulted in the successful arrest of the suspect. The police identified the suspect as Jose Guihapon Wison, 24 years old and his live-in partner. A resident of Purok Pugapo, Barangay Alindahaw, Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur. Recovered from his possession and control were one (1) piece of small plastic heat sealed sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be methamphetamine hydrochloride locally known as shabu. Police estimated the illegal drugs weight of .003 grams and with street value of five hundred pesos (P500.00), one (1) rolled aluminum foil and marked money worth of five hundred pesos (P500.00) with serial number  bh057545. Suspect together with the recovered evidences was immediately brought to Tukuran MPS for proper disposition and an inquest case for violation of ra 9165 is being prepared against him. Arrested suspect was listed in the watch list of Tukuran MPS as a surrendered illegal drugs personlity.

INCIDENT REPORT - April 12, 2018

Shooting Incident

DUMINGAG - On April 11, 2018 at about 5:25 PM, shooting incident transpired at Purok 4, Barangay Maralag, Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur. Upon receipt of said report, elements of Dumingag MPS led by PCINSP ANDREW T LIMOD, Officer In-Charge immediately coordinated with the RMFB 2nd MC to conduct checkpoint and Barangay San Jose, Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur for possible exit and proceed to the place of incident to verify and conduct investigation. Initial investigation conducted disclosed that, prior to the incident, at around 5:15 PM of same date, victim identified as Johndy Remedios Calunod, male, 28 years old, single, dried fish vendor and a resident of Purok Palmera, Barangay, San Pablo, Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur was at Purok 4, Barangay Maralag, Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur to sell dried fishes driving a vehicle, Bonggo (Mazda) color red with plate no. KES 284. According to the residents nearby, they heard a series of gun burst and few minutes they saw two (2) unidentified persons both were wearing a face mask riding a single motorcycle without cover parts and plate number attached running fast towards the opposite direction from where the victim was. And when they verify were the gun burst was, they saw said victim already sustained multiple gunshot wounds on the different parts of his body that causes his untimely death.  The responding team recovered two (2) fired cartridge cases and two (2) live ammunitions of caliber .45. PNP elements of Dumingag MPS continuously conducted hot pursuit operation for the possible identification and apprehension of the suspect.  Motive of the incident is still to be determined.

Shooting Incident

TIGBAO - On April 11, 2018 at about 6:20 AM, a shooting transpired at Purok 4, Barangay Nilo, Tigbao, Zambaoanga del Sur wherein victim identified as Marjunel Potalio Conol, alias “Lambing”, 12 years old, student and a resident of Purok 7, Barangay Nilo, Tigbao, Zamboanga del Sur was shot by suspect identified as Jiji Secretario Banay, alias “Jiji”, 31 years old, single, farmer/mechanic and a resident of Purok 3, Barangay Nilo, Tigbao, Zamboanga del Sur.  Upon receipt of said report, PNP elements of Tigbao MPS proceeded to the said place and conducted hot pursuit operation that resulted in the Arrest of The Suspect. Initial investigation conducted disclosed that, while the victim was at the Duck Poultry and he was shot by the owner/suspect. Accordingly, said victim was about to steal duck eggs at the poultry. As a result, victim sustained one (1) gunshot wound on his left hand and was immediately brought to Zamboanga del Sur Medical Center, Barangay Dao, Pagadian City for medical treatment.  Motive of the incident was believed to be revenge for accordingly, said victim was alledgely involved in the series of theft incident at said place. Service of Warrant of Arrest

DIMATALING - On April 11, 2018 at about 9:40 PM, PNP elements of Dimataling MPS conducted police operation (Service of Warrant of Arrest) at Purok 4, Barangay Kagawasan, Dimataling, Zamboanga del Sur. The operation resulted to the arrest of Edgar Calderon Suelo, 44 years old, married, farmer and a resident of said place.  Said person has a standing warrant of arrest for the crime of Murder docketed under criminal case no. 15-106 issued by Hon. Ruben N. Bance, Presiding Judge, RTC, Branch 29, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur dated March 15, 2018 with no bail bond recommended. The arrested subject person is presently detained at Dimataling MPS for proper documentation and disposition.

Murder Suspect Cuffed in Pagadian

PAGADIAN CITY - On April 10, 2018 at about 2:39 PM, PNP personnel of Pagadian CPS conducted police operation (Service of Arrest Warrant) at Purok Cantilan, Barangay Datagan, Pagadian City. The operation resulted to the arrest of Rene Morcela Arcala, 36 years old, male, and resident of Purok Riverside, Barangay Dipaya, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur. The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of Murder, docketed under Criminal Case No. 13794-2K18, issued by Hon. Felix B. Rodriguez, Jr., Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 18, Pagadian City dated March 23, 2018 with no bail bond recommended. Subject person is now temporarily detained at Pagadian CPS awaiting court disposition.

The operation resulted to the arrest of Joas Concordia Josol, 31 years old, married, fishermen and a resident of Purok, Sta. Lucia, Barangay Malim, Tabina, Zamboanga del Sur. Said person has a standing warrant of arrest for the crime of Acts of Lasciviousness in relation to R.A. 7610 docketed under criminal case no. 17-047 issued by Hon. Ruben N. Bance, Presiding Judge, RTC, Branch 29, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur dated July 17, 2017 with bail bond of Eighty Thousand Pesos (P80, 000.00). The arrested subject person is presently detained at Tabina MPS for proper documentation and disposition.

INCIDENT REPORTS - April 10, 2018

Suicide Incident in Pitogo

On April 9, 2018 at about 8:22 PM, Suicide incident transpired at Purok 3. Barangay Sugbay Dos, Pitogo, Zamboanga Del Sur. The victim identified as Roel Yamido Prego, 46 years old, married, farmer and a resident of Purok 3, Barangay Sugbay Dos, Zamboanga Del Sur. Initial investigation conducted disclosed that the victim living alone in his house and last seen by his relatives morning of April 9, 2018 having drinking spree with his friend’s on celebrating of his birthday. Later on, he was found hanging inside of his house. Further, the victim worried because his wife working at Davao City has not been returning home for more than a year and on the date of his birthday. The dead body of the victim is now lies at the house of his mother-in-law.  Investigator is PO1 Roland Lubguban CP number 09164615360.

Operation on Illegal Logging in Josefina

On April 8, 2018 at about 5:36 PM, PNP personnel Josefina MPS together with the team from PENRO Zamboanga del Sur conducted joint operation on illegal logging at Mini Lumber Yard own by Sonny Sumader located Barangay Dawa, Josefina, Zamboanga del Sur. The operation resulted to the confiscated of 102 pieces of round timber logs which is equivalent to Two Thousand (2000) board feet more or less in assorted dimensions of Teak -8, narra-4, bagalnga-10, mahogany- 80 logbolt with estimated amount market value of Php 80,000  and Kubota Mini Sawmill machine worth 35,000 pesos. The said Lumberyard has no permit presented. Confiscated lumber and machine were properly documented by PENRO personnel and witnessed by Barangay Captain Albertson Mag-usara and now under the custody of PENRO for proper disposition. 

Rape Suspect Arrested by San Pablo MPS in Tangub City

On April 9, 2018 at about 02:00 PM, PNP elements of San Pablo MPS conducted service of warrant of arrest at Purok 4, Barangay Garang, Tangub City Misamis Occidental. The police operation was resulted to the successful arrest of Rosendo Ayoda Duma-og, alias “Sendo” 38 years old, married, and a resident of Purok 3, Barangay Bubual, San Pablo, Zamboanga del Sur. His arrest was by virtue of Warrant of Arrest docketed under cc # 13749-2K18 and 13750-2K18 for the crime of Rape in rel. to R.A.7610  (2 counts)  issued by Honorable Dennis P. Vicoy,  Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court 9th Judicial Region Br 22, Pagadian City with no fixed amount bail bond recommended. Arrested subject person is presently detained at San Pablo MPS for proper disposition.
