PRESS RELEASE
SHOOTING INCIDENT IN PITOGO

Pitogo, Zamboanga Del Sur- On or about 5:00 o’clock in the morning of  July 30, 2015, one (1) Elbert Medulla, 33 years old, married, Barangay Chairman Of Barangay Punta Fleche, Pitogo, Zamboanga Del Sur personally reported to Pitogo Municipal Police Station informing that his wife/victim identified as one (1) janet medalla y caballero, 32 years old and resident of said place was shot to death by unidentified suspect with the used of .45 caliber pistol based on the recovered two (2) fired cartridge case and two (2) slug of same cal at the crime scene. Initial investigation conducted disclosed at around 2:00 o’clock in the morning of same date while the victim was sleeping inside their residential house when suspect entered the aforementioned house by breaking the window blades made of glass and shot the victim twice hitting her chest and same was brought to Pagadian City Hospital for immediate medical treatment but unable to survived the gunshot wound she suffered. Suspect fled towards unknown direction after the incident. Pitogo Municipal Police Station now conducting thorough investigation to determined the real motive of the incident.

SHOOTING INCIDENT IN MAHAYAG

Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur- On or about 8:20 o’clock in the evening of July 30, 2015, a cellular phone call from NUP Charity Saquilabon informing that a shooting incident transpired at Barangay Lower Salug Daku, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur. Immediately, PNP elements of same mps led by SPO4 Joseph Molina Novero (MESPO) and under the direct supervision of PCI Homer Tragico Dumalag, COP proceeded to the reported place to conduct ocular investigation. Initial investigation conducted disclosed that on or about 8:13 o’clock in the evening of same date, the victim identified as one (1) Cherry Paz Cotiamco Covenar alias Birat, 54 years old, married and a resident of Purok 2 Pioneer, Barangay Lower Salug Daku, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur was at the sala of the house of her cousin identified as Jovy Bugtay Natingor located at the same place watching movie when suddenly shot once by unidentified suspect with the used of believed to be a homemade shotgun based on the evidence recovered from the crime scene. Victim was rushed to Lorenzo Tan Multi purpose community hospital for immediate medical attention but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician (Dr. Jarred Agustero) while suspect fled towards unknown direction after the incident. Victim sustained multiple pellet wounds on the right portion of her face and two exit wounds on the left portion. Evidence recovered from the crime scene was two (2) pieces of pellets believed to be ammunition of a shotgun. ARRESTED WANTED PERSON IN AURORA

On or about 8:00 in the morning of July 30, 2015, Intel operatives of Aurora Municipal Police Station conducted Intel fusion and coordination with Intel section, Lala Municipal  Police Station, Lanao del norte as to the real identities and background of the arrested suspects and it was discovered that Mark Jones Bagaloyos Y Fernandez Alyas “Tata” have a standing warrant of arrest for the crime of Murder under cc nr: 1325-07-2015 with no bail recommended and on viol of sec.15, R.A. 9165 under cc nr: 21-2554 also with no  bail recommended before the regional trial court branch 07 of Tubod Lanao Del Norte duly signed by Hon Dennis P. Vicoy, Acting Presiding Judge. at about 9:45 in the morning of July 30, 2015, PNP elements from Lala Municipal Police Station, Lanao Del Norte led by PInsp Angel Acodisen Vergara, DCOP, lala MPS arrived at Aurora MPS purposely to serve the above-stated arrest warrants against Mark Jones Bagaloyos aka Tata. Subject person is still in the custody of Aurora MPS for proper disposition.

REPORTED INCIDENTS – July 22-23, 2015

PRESS RELEASE

Shooting in Dumingag

Shooting incident occurred at Purok 2, Barangay Bag-Ong Kauswagan, Dumingag, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 12:00 PM of July 22, 2015, wherein victims identified as Alfredo Malinao Cantunasr, 48 years old, married and his wife Elfely Mancao Cantuna, both residents of said place was shot by unidentified suspect. investigation conducted disclosed that victim was on his premises giving water to his horse when suspect suddenly appeared closer to him and without any provocation shot the victim thee (3) times hitting on the different parts of his body and died on the spot, wife of the victim was also shot by the suspect hitting on her hips upon came out from their house and ran towards the grassy area of said place. Suspect immediately escape onboard motorcycle towards Dumingag proper. Victim Elfely Mancao Cantuna, was brought to emergency hospital Ozamis City for medical treatment. Recovered from the crime scene were three (3) empty shells of caliber 45 pistol. Dumingag MPS is now conducting follow-up investigation to locate and apprehend the fleeing suspect. Shooting in Pagadian

Shooting incident occurred at Governor Vicente Cerrilles Street, San Francisco District, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur at around 4:32 PM of July 22, 2015, wherein victim identified as Roldan Sandiag Amaro, 26 years old, single and a resident of Purok Presko, Barangay Datagan, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur was shot by unidentified suspects. investigation conducted disclosed that victim together with his cousin identified as Virginia Abejuela Umambac, legal age, married, Barangay Chairman Of Barangay Datagan, Pagadian City parked his driven motorcycle at said place particularly in front of saint columban college postal office when one unidentified suspect suddenly appeared and without any apparent reasons shot the victim once hitting on his head using undetermined type of short firearm. Suspects immediately fled towards Sanson Street, Pagadian City onboard motorcycle without plate number. upon noticed to the incident by PO1 Raeph Misfer Remiteria Salibo and PO1 Roger Magno Dumaog, assigned at RPSB9 2nd mc who were present at the place of incident, they responded and fired against the fleeing suspects hitting the driver of the gunman on the right side of his abdomen but suspects continued to sped towards Barangay Gatas, Pagadian City. Victim Roldan Sandiag Amaro, was immediately brought to pagadian city medical center for medication but later pronounced dead by his attending physician. Pagadian City Police Station is now conducting follow-up investigation to locate and apprehend the fleeing suspects. Investigator on case is PO2 Mizrach S. Lapid, with contact number 0912-9350611.

Shooting in Labangan

Shooting incident occurred at about 7:50 PM of July 23, 2015 at Barangay Dalapang, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur. The victim was identified as Lible Talumpa Jr.  Y Navales, 28, married, farmer, resident of said place. He was shot using caliber 45 pistols by suspect identified as Roberto Ambona, legal age, married, retired Phil army and resident of Barangay Tulawas, Pagadian City. The victim sustained five gunshot wounds on the different parts of his body and was rushed to Mendero Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician. Investigation disclosed that victim was inside on their residential house particularly at Talumpa residence compound of the aforementioned place when suddenly said suspect entered the compound onboard on his driven motorcycle and asked the victim whereabouts and without any apparent reason shot the victim several times. The suspect immediately fled towards unknown direction after the incident leaving his motorcycle. The evidence recovered from the crime scene eleven fired cartridge case of caliber 45 pistol and one slug of same caliber. The subject mc was now under the custody of Labangan Police Station. The motive of the incident believed to be personal grudge. The Labangan Police Station is still conducting a police operation to possibly locate and arrest the suspect.  pd alfa appropriate case is now being prepared for filing in court against the suspect. 

Shooting in Dinas

Shooting incident occurred at about 8:00 AM of July 23, 2015 at Sitio Dumakiton, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur. The victim was Apolinario Arado Niez Jr., 29 years old, married, credit sales representative of Honda odyssey in Pagadian City and resident at Bulatok, Pagadian City. He was shot by three unidentified criminals at the mentioned place. Investigation showed that victim was driving his single mc at the mentioned place when suddenly three (3) unidentified criminals positioning along the street and sitting on the single mc XRM color blue ahead of the victim while the other suspect facing him along the road while the other one behind his back along provincial road of said place described as slim build and blonde hair and suddenly shot the victims several times. The victim sustained minor bruise wounds /slight wounds near his left and right breast of his body and in stable condition. Based on the statement of Barangay Chairman Laurencio Albios along with his councilor Allan Gemillan that certain Daniel Rivera a residence of said place heard a gun burst while he was at his corn plantation. The motive of the incident still to be determined by the PNP elements of Dinas Police Station who are now conducting thorough investigation to possibly identify and arrest the suspects.

Shooting in Pagadian City

Shooting incident transpired in Barangay Bulatok, Pagadian City at about 8:30 PM of July 23, 2015. The Pagadian City Police identified the victims as Razul Sarif Y Usman, 29, tricycle driver, who sustained one gunshot wound on his left side waist  and Misu Mohammad Y Maguindanao, 34, married, fisherman, who sustained two gunshot wounds on his left leg, however, the other victim identified as Junine Mapait Y Sarif, 24, driver, was not hit/unharmed. Investigation showed that victims were onboard on their driven single mc traversing from Barangay Alegria going/bound to their homes of the abovementioned residence but upon reaching at Purok Mahigalaon particularly along  National Highway, Barangay Bulatok, Pagadian City were waylaid/followed by an unidentified riding criminals onboard on a undetermined type of single mc and without any apparent reason shot the victims using undetermined caliber of firearm, however, luckily said victims were able/managed to drove their driven single mc going to Cabahug Hospital for medical treatment despite of their gunshot wounds they sustained. The alleged motive of the incident is still under investigation by the responding elements of Pagadian City Police who now conducted a thorough investigation to possibly identify and arrest the suspects. Dead Body Found in Pagadian

A female dead body was found at about 5:45 AM o July 23, 2015 at the road of Purok 1, Barangay Buenavista, Pagadian City. The Pagadian City Police said that unidentified female dead body aging more or less 25 to 30 years old, wearing sleeveless blouse, maong pants color blue, long hair was found lying lifeless bathed with her own blood and sustained stabbed wounds on his back and lacerated wounds on his forehead and head. The evidence recovered from the crime scene is one kitchen knife believed to be used during the incident. The cadaver now lies at Gamalinda Funeral Homes located at Barangay Tiguma, Pagadian City. 

REPORTED INCIDENTS –July 21, 2015

Shooting in Pitogo

Shooting incident occurred at about 5:45 AM of July 21, 2015 at Purok 3, Barangay Panubigan, Pitogo, Zamboanga Del Sur. The victim was identified as Angelito Bequiso Y Alquisola, 40 years old, farmer and a resident of said place. He was shot to death by two unidentified assailants. Investigation showed that the victim left their house at about 5:00 o’clock in the morning of same date and went to their farm but a few minutes after, his wife identified as Revilla Bequiso heard alpha gun burst. She together with her brother in-law Rafael Bequiso hurriedly went to their farm to look for her husband; however, they found him lying on the ground lifeless and bloody. The victim died due to multiple gunshot wounds of the different parts of the body. The weapon used believed to M16 and M14 rifles based on nine (9) fired cartridges case for M16 and four (4) fired cartridges case for M14 recovered at the crime scene. The motive of the incident is still to be determined by the Pitogo Police who is now conducting dragnet operation to possibly identify and arrest the fleeing perpetrators. Shooting in Pagadian City

Shooting incident took place at about 11:20 AM of July 21, 2015 at Barangay Lenienza, Pagadian City.  The Pagadian City Police identified the victim as Archimedes Arañez Y Balladares, of legal age, married, jobless and a resident of said place. Investigation conducted disclosed that the victim driving his Honda XRM motorcycle from his residence and upon reaching at the mentioned place, he was  shot several times by unidentified suspect/s who immediately left the crime scene on board black Honda XRM without plate number towards Barangay Tiguma, Pagadian City. The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds on the diff parts of the body and was rushed to Pagadian Doctors Hospital by the responding Barangay Tanods, however, was later declared dead at about 11:40 AM of same date by his attending physician. The weapon used is believed to be cal. 45 pistol based on four (4) fired cartridges case recovered at the crime scene. The Pagadian City Police is now conducting follow -up investigation / dragnet operationn to possibly identify and arrest the fleeing suspect/s. the investigator on case is PO2 Jennifer Buco with contact number 09495043922.

Fire in Guipos

Fire incident occurred at about 10:40 AM of July 21, 2015 at Barangay Canunan, Guipos, Zamboanga Del Sur, wherein two houses owned by Timotea Camelion Miranda, 65, widow and Aurelia Mireda Fernandez, 52, married, both residents of said place were totally burned with an estimated damaged of more or less one hundred fifty thousand pesos (P 150,000.00). The burned houses were both made of light materials such as bamboo, wood and nipa. The fire incident was declared fired under control by the responding Bureau of Fire Protection at around 10:55 in the morning of same date. .

Dead Body Found in Sominot

A male dead body was found lying inside his house in Barangay Upper Sicao, Sominot, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 700 AM of July 21, 2015. The Sominot Police identified the victim as romeo angcon y Estrada, 62, widower, jobless and a resident of said place. He sustained struck wounds at the left portion of his face which believed to be the cause of his untimely death. Accordingly, he was with his friends and was having a drinking session at Barangay Poblacion, Sominot, however, at about 6: 00 o’clock in the evening of same date, the victim arrived at his house and was believed to be struck by unidentified suspect/s using a hard object while asleep. The Sominot Police is now conducting investigation on the incident.

Murderer Held in San Pablo

A murderer was arrested by operatives of San Pablo MPS during Intel Driven Police Operation in Barangay Sacbulan, San Pablo, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 3:15 PM of July 21, 2015. Police Inspector  Jeremias Nuñeza Pepito, San Pablo Police Chief, said suspect  Richard Gumera Abellon, 27, was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest docketed under criminal case no. -12130-2k15 for the crime of murder issued by Hon Rolando L Goan, Presiding Judge, RTC Branch 21, Justice Hall, Pagadian City. Suspect is now temp detained at said police station for proper disposition. 

Wanted Man Nabbed in Misamis Oriental

A 32-year old man was arrested in Barangay Poblacion, Misamis Oriental at about 10:00 AM of July 20, 2015. The Dumalinao Police identified the arrested as Ryan Villacura Y Saberon Alias Ryan Labandero, 32, with permanent address at Barangay Anonang, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur. He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest docketed under criminal case number -16703 for the crime of attempted homicide issued by Hon Judge Pablito S Pilago Jr., 9th RTC, Branch 42, Justice Hall, Pagadian City dated 23 mar 2014. He is now temp detained at Dumalinao MPS jail awaiting court disposition.

REPORTED INCIDENTS –July 17-18, 2015

Shooting in Dumingag

Shooting incident transpired at Barangay Gubaan, Dumingag, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 9:30 AM of July 18, 2015, wherein victim identified as Ernesto Viernes Metillo, 47 years old, a resident of Barangay Marangan, Dumingag, was shot and wounded by suspect named Jesus Dela Peña with the use of an unknown caliber of firearm. The victim sustained gunshot wound on his thigh and was brought to egano hospital for treatment. Investigation disclosed that the victim was riding his motorcycle on his way home and upon reaching the aforesaid place, the suspect blocked his way, shot him and then fled the scene after the incident. Follow-up investigation is now being conducted by elements of Dumingag Police Station for the possible arrest of the suspect.

Cadaver Found in Tigbao

A cellular phone call received by elements of Tigbao Police Station at about 4:00 PM of July 18, 2015 from Punong Barangay Joy R Balandra Of Barangay Begong, Tigbao, Zamboanga Del Sur that Andres Faciol Dionaldo Aka “Andi”, 51 years old, construction worker, resident of said barangay, was found lifeless with visible hack wounds on his neck and face. After conducting follow-up investigation, the suspects identified as Victoriano Malmis Galleros, aka "dodo", 40 years old and Rey Galleros Vasquez, aka “Maymay”, 19 years old, were arrested at Purok Beti, of same barangay. They are now temporarily detained at Tigbao Police Station.

SHOOTING INCIDENT

On or about 9:30 in the morning of July 18, 2015 at Barangay Gubaan, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur wherein victim identified as one (1) Ernesto Metillo y Viernes, 47 year old, vendor, widow and a resident of Barangay Marangan of same municipality and province was shot by a suspects identified as a certain Jesus Dela Peña and one (1) unidentified cohort. Initial investigation conducted disclosed that while victim was riding his single motorcycle described as Honda XRM 125 going towards Barangay Tagolalo of same municipality when suddenly suspects riding a single motorcycle which was driven by the suspect (Jesus Dela Peña) with one unidentified back rider forced him to stopped and the back rider shot him without apparent reason with the used of unidentified caliber of firearm. Victim sustained one (1) gunshot wound on his left thigh and was immediately brought to Egano Hospital, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur and subsequently referred to Ozamis City for further medication while suspects fled towards unknown direction after the incident. Accordingly, motive of the said incident is personal grudge between the victim and the suspect (Jesus Dela Peña). Aurora Municipal Police Station is now preparing appropriate criminal complaint for filing against the suspects in court. OPERATIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

ARRESTED WANTED PERSON

On or about 5:45 in the afternoon of July 17, 2015, PNP elements of Molave Municipal Police Station led by PO3 Abraham Apat Jr. and personnel from RIU9 PNP IG conducted operation against wanted person at Barangay Mabuhay, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur which resulted to the arrest of one (1) Benjamin L. Dayanan, 55 years old, male, married, farmer and a resident of the aforesaid place by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Hon. Judge Jaime B. Caberte, RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Br23, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur for Frustrated Murder under cc no. 2012-10-2492 with recommended bail bond of Two Hundred Thousand Pesos (Php 200,000.00). Subject person was now detained at Molave MPS while waiting for court commitment order.

OPERATIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

ARRESTED WANTED PERSON

On or about 4:00 in the afternoon of July 06, 2015, joint operation of El Salvador City Police Station led by PSupt Arden Jover Amogod & elements of Sominot Municipal Police Station led by PInsp Felixberto Briones Rule Jr., OIC thru intelligence driven operation conducted police operation/serving of warrant of arrest at Barangay Amoros, El Salvdor City, Misamis Oriental that resulted to the arrest of one (1) Ramil Bongales of legal age, separated, jobless and a resident of Poblacion, Sominot, Zamboanga Del Sur by virtue of warrant of arrest for violation of R.A. 9262  docketed under cc#  14-10,1128 to 1130  issued by Pres Judge Jaime B Caberte of RTC Branch 30, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur issued on June 19, 2015 with a total recommended bail bond amounting to  Twenty Eight Thousand Pesos (Php 28,000). Arrested person is now on booking procedure at El Salvador Police Station and after such same brought to Sominot Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.

Siocon Top 8 Most Wanted, Arrested

A 30-year old carpenter listed as the Top 8 Most wanted o Siocon Police Station, was arrested during manhunt operation carried out by Siocon Police, Regional Intelligence Unit 9, Lapuyan Police at Barangay Upper Salumbayan, Lapuyan, Zamboanga Del Sur. Suspect Nonie Dadan y Lansani, 30 years old, married, carpenter and  resident of Sitio Mambong, Barangay Candiz, Siocon Zamboanga del Norte, was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest (WOA) issued by Hon. Laarni N. Dajao, Presiding Judge of 9th Judicial Region, RTC Branch 27 Siocon, Zamboanga Del Norte for the crime of Murder docketed under Criminal Case Number 877 with no bail recommended. He is now being detained at Lapuyan MPS for proper disposition.
