INCIDENT REPORTS IN zAMBOANGA DEL SUR DECEMBER 31, 2018

1 person was killed in Shooting Incident

KUMALARANG, Zamboanga del Sur (Jan. 1, 2019) -One person was killed in Shooting incident transpired at Purok Bagong Silang, Barangay Diplo, Kumalarang, Zamboanga Del Sur at around 8:40 PM, December 31, 2018.

PCSUPT Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Regional Director identified the victim as Reynaldo Buenafe Y Panis, male, married, 67 years old, vegetable vendor and a resident of Purok Bagong Silang, Barangay Diplo, Kumalarang, Zamboanga Del Sur was already lying at their balcony almost breathless. Initial investigation conducted disclosed that at about 8:30 in the evening of December 31, 2018.

Prior to the incident their family were watching news in the television and someone knock to their front door and asking to open it.

The victim checked it and opens the door and stayed outside their balcony. Minutes later, they heard a gun burst. Upon hearing said gun burst, the family immediately went outside and they saw the victim already lying at their balcony bathed with blood.

The victim was shot using caliber 45 based on the recovered empty shell at the crime scene and sustained one (1) gunshot wound at the back of his head (entrance wound) and exited at the front portion of his head (left eyebrow).

Accordingly, based on the testimonies of bystanders near the place of incident, they saw unidentified suspect wearing a bonnet immediately escaped on board single motorcycle with no particular description heading to municipality of Buug, Zamboanga Sibugay direction.

Further, victim was still breathing and was immediately brought onboard Mahindra patrol jeep at Saint John Hospital, Buug, Zamboanga Sibugay but unfortunately declared dead on arrival by the attending physician. PNP personnel of station conducted thorough investigation and follow up operation to possibly identify, locate and arrest the fleeing suspect.

Motive of the incident is still to be determined.

Robbery/Ransack Incident

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga Del Sur ((jAN. 1, 2019) - Robbery/ ransack incident was discovered at Berringer Marketing Incorporated-Pagadian Sales Office situated at Sabate Street corner Roxas Street, Santa Maria District, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 10:00 AM of December 31, 2018.

Investigation conducted disclosed that around 10:00 AM of same date, Anna Laine Noble Y Arbon, 28 years old, female, single, Finance Assistant of the said office arrived at her office and found out that the things near her desk was scattered and the vault was destroyed containing Two Hundred Fifty Two Thousand and Eight Hundred Sixty Four pesos (Php 252,864.00) was carted away by the unidentified suspect/s.

The money was derived from sales based on the inventory conducted by the victim and her District Territory Supervisor.

PNP personnel of Provincial Crime Lab Office responded and conducted crime scene processing at the place of incident to possibly identify, locate and arrest suspect/s.

Further, documents/evidence submitted by the reporting person/victim are the following: eleven (11) pages remittance slip; Three (3) pages photocopy of Guards Logbook from 6:34 A.M. of December 29, 2018 to 10:08 A.M. December 31,2018; and one (1) piece metal box (pink).

Robbery/Hold-up Incident

MOLAVE, Zamboanga Del Sur (Jan. 1, 2019) - Robbery incident transpired at Ogis Lechon Manok, located at Mabini Street, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur on December 31, 2018 at about 7:30 AM.

PCSUPT Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Regional Director identified the victims as Rolly Suezo Y Bongabong and certain Crisanto, both employees/workers of Ogis Lechon Manok.

Investigation conducted disclosed that said victims were preparing to open the store (OGIS Lechon Manok) located at the above-mentioned place of incident, when suddenly two (2) unidentified male suspects, wearing black masked, pretending to be a customer and asked for the available of lechon manok.

Immediately thereafter, the suspects declared hold up using a hunting knife and carted away cash money amounting to more or less (Php 20,000.00).

The suspects immediately fled towards Barangay Sudlon of said municipality onboard single MC Honda RS.

PNP personnel of Molave MPS conducted thorough investigation and follow up operation to possibly identify, locate and arrest the fleeing suspects.

Reported incident in Zamboanga del Sur December 30, 2018

Motor Vehicular Traffic Accident

TIGBAO, Zamboanga del Sur (Dec. 30, 2018) - Motor vehicular traffic accident transpired at National Highway of Purok 3, Barangay Tigbao, Tigbao, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 10:40 AM of December 29, 2018.

The vehicle involved was one (1) unit Suzuki Swift, color red, bearing plate number UF 0571, registered under the name of April Arra Cordero Cortes, resident of Purok Talisay Malaubang, Ozamis City, Misamis Occidental, driven by Jayne Bernadeth Cordero Kutscher, 26 years old, married, self-employed and resident of Purok, Talisay Malaubang, Ozamis City together with three (3) passengers identified as:

        Mother Vilma Cordero, 55 years old;

        Sister Ma. Arjay Criste Cordero, 21 years old and

        Jonathan Kutscher, 36 years old.

Investigation conducted disclosed that subject vehicle was traversing from National Highway of Buug, Zamboanga Sibugay bound to Ozamis City, Misamis Occidental and upon reaching at the above-mentioned place of incident tried to overtook other vehicle which was running in same direction.

When suddenly a stray dog crossed the road, thereby the driver exerted effort to avoid possible accident but was overshot to the right shouldering of the road and crashed to the banana plants.

As a result, the driver sustained injury on his neck and was brought to Pagadian City Medical center for medical treatment. The three (3) passengers were not injured during the accident, while the vehicle incurred major damage.

Motor Vehicular Traffic Accident

MOLAVE, Zamboanga Del Sur (Dec. 30, 2018) - Motor vehicular traffic accident transpired along Guillen Street, fronting Francisca Villares Residence, Purok Gumamela, Barangay Makuguihon, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 6:50 PM of December 29, 2018.

Wherein one (1) unit BMW Bicycle driven by a 10 years old, male, single, grade-7 student and resident of Purok Gumamela, Barangay Makuguihon, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur was accidentally overrun by One (1) unit Ark White Isuzu NQR truck drop side, bearing plate number KGN 504, driven by Francisco Araneta Y Obejero, 34 years old, male, married, and resident of Purok Olive, Barangay Bogo Kapalaran, Molave.

As a result, the driver of BMX bicycle sustained serious injury and was rushed to Salug Valley Medical Center for medical treatment but was declared dead on arrival by the attending Physician.

Reported Incidents December 26-29, 2018

1 person in Shooting Incident

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga Del Sur (Dec. 27, 2018) - A shooting incident transpired in front of Best Emporium Mall, Benigno Aquino Street, Santa Lucia District, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur about 4:4 PM of December 26, 2018.

The victim identified as Daryl Ortiz y Salvador, 37 years old, male, Filipino, Married, moneylender, and a resident of Purok Malipayon, San Francisco District, Pagadian City.

Initial investigation conducted by Pagadian City Police Station disclosed that at about 04:40 PM of December 26, 2018, the victim together with his wife identified as Mary Joy Lapar Ortiz, 34 years old, female, Filipino and was used to standby in front of Best Emporium Mall to collect payments from their clients of moneylending business.

The victim was standing looking for the tricycle drivers who are most of his clients, when an unidentified male person clads in black jacket, bonnet on his face with sunglasses without any commotion shot the victim from behind with the use of Caliber .45 pistol.

After the incident, the suspect walked toward the black Honda TMX 155 single motorcycle as his get-away vehicle towards Benigno Aquino Street, Pagadian City direction.

The victim was rushed to Pagadian City Medical Center (Mendero Hospital) by the responding PNP personnel.

SOCO personnel was called in the conduct of crime scene processing and recovered at the crime scene are six (6) fired cartridge casings and two (2) fired bullets of Cal. 45 pistol.

The SOCO turned-over the crime scene to the Investigator on case at around 06:25 PM of same date. Motive of the incident is yet to be determined.

Follow-up and hot pursuit operation against the fleeing suspect was conducted by the detective personnel Pagadian City Police Station.

1 Pedestrian Hurt in Road Crash Accident

DUMALINAO, Zamboanga Del Sur (Dec. 27, 2018) – A motor vehicular traffic accident transpired at Purok Maisan Brgy Sebucao, Dumalinao, Zambaonga del Sur at about 02:00 PM of December 26, 2018.

Wherein the pedestrian victim identified as Clea Villahermosa Perez, 19 years old, student and a resident of Poblacion Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur.

Initial investigation conducted by Dumalinao MPS disclosed that the victim allegedly suddenly crossed the road of the aforesaid place of incident unnoticed the incoming utility vehicle Nissan Navara color white with plate no FOT 560 owned and driven by Romeo Laranjo Acain, 34 years old, married, businessman, and a resident of Purok San Antonio, Baganian, Tabina, Zamboanga Del Sur that was traversing from Poblacion, Dumalinao road bound to Guipos road.

The accident was resulted the victim to sustained serious physical injury as her left leg was broken and was immediately brought to Jamellarin hospital for immediate medication.

3 Vehicles Collided in Road Crash Accident

LABABGAN, Zamboanga Del Sur (Dec. 27, 2018) - Motor vehicular traffic accident occurred along National Highway of Upper Pulacan, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur at about 6:38 PM of December 26, 2018.

The accident was involving the the following vehicles:

1.   Isuzu Truck color white/red bearing plate number RFY 487, registered under the name of JYP Hauling Services Inc. and driven by Joven Jumaran Eguia, male, 22 years old, live-in and a resident of Sto. Niño Polanco, Zamboanga del Norte was accidentally hit/ bumped into.

2.   Isuzu Dump Truck, color yellow bearing plate number JEF456, driven by Maximo Cabasag Gatab Jr., male, 27 years old, and a resident of Sanito, Ipil Zamboanga Sibugay and

3.   Toyota Innova, color gray bearing plate number YKG 371, driven by Gerrybell Patalinghug Porio, male ,38 years old and a resident of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.

Initial investigation revealed that both vehicles were traversing the National Highway (Isuzu truck and dump truck from Ramon Magsaysay to Pagadian City) and Toyota from Pulacan to Aurora Zamboanga Del Sur and upon reaching at the vicinity of Upper Pulacan, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur particularly at the downgraded area, the Isuzu truck lost its brake and accidentally hit/ bumped into dump truck and Toyota.

       

After the impact, the passenger of Isuzu truck 13 years old and a resident of Nabilid, Roxas Zamboanga Del Norte sustained physical injuries and immediately brought to Zamboanga del Sur Medical Center, Dao, Pagadian City for medication. Both vehicles incurred severe damages.

Likewise, the layout of 150 meters of Forty eight (48) core areal fiber optic cable of Globe Telecom with estimated value of Twenty four thousand pesos (Php24,000), three (3) electric meters and one electric post were also destroyed caused by the above-mentioned incident.

2 Arrested for Estafa

MAHAYAG, Zamboanga Del Sur (Dec. 28, 2018) - Police operatives of Mahayag Police Station conducted operation (service of warrant) at Purok 5, Brgy. Balamban, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 8:00 AM of December 27, 2018.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Richard Sedilla Y Verdeflor, 40 year’s old, live-in, carpenter and Maricel Sedilla Y Yamido, 39 years old, live-in, jobless, both residents of above-said place.

The suspect was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Estafa docketed under Criminal Case no.5147-M issued by Presiding Judge Crislyn C. Pangindian of 9th Judicial Region, 11th MCTC of Mahayag-Dumingag & Josefina, Mahayag Zamboanga Del Sur with bail bond Php 18,000.00 each.

Arrested Wanted persons are now temporarily detained at Mahayag MPS for proper disposition.

Shooting Incident

DIMATALING, Zamboanga Del Sur (Dec. 29, 2018) - Shooting incident transpired at Sitio Samalan, Barangay Balanagan, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 12:30 AM of December 28, 2018.

Initial investigation conducted by Dimataling MPS disclosed that victim identified as Emily Tolentino Calibo, 31 years old, female, married, Housewife and a resident of said place was shot by her husband identified as Jomar Jacob Calibo, 32 years old, male, CAFGU member and a resident of same place.

Victim sustained lone gunshot wound hitting particularly on her left leg, using an alleged caliber 9mm pistol based on one (1) pc empty shell turn - over at this station.

Victim was immediately brought to Chavez Clinic, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur for medication, while suspect voluntary surrendered to Dimataling MPS at about 6:30 AM of same date.

Investigation further revealed, that prior to the incident victim and suspect were enjoying a DISCO party at the Sitio Plaza of said place, when they were walking on their way home, they have heated arguments until the victim reached in the house of her parent and there and then suspect followed her and shot the victim.

December 22-26, 2018 Reported Incidents in Zamboanga del Sur

Fisherman Held for Violation of RA 9262

TUKURAN, Zamboanga Del Sur (Dec. 22, 2018) - PNP personnel of Tukuran MPS, conducted police operation on wanted person (Service of Arrest Warrant) at about 10:35 AM of December 22, 2018 at Purok Maruba, Brgy. Alndahaw, Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur. 

The operation resulted to the arrest of Roy Ramos Y Boja, a 37 years old, male, married, a fisherman, and a resident of Prk. Maruba, Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for violation of R.A. 9262 docketed under Criminal Case No. 14108-2k18 issued on November 21, 2018 by Honorable Judge Analyn F. Ramas- Costanilla, Acting Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court Branch 22, 9th Judicial Region Pagadian City with a bail bond recommended of Seventy-Two Thousand Pesos (Php P72, 000.00) for his temporary liberty.

The arrested person is now under the custody of Tukuran MPS for proper disposition.

Stabbing Incident

MOLAVE, Zamboanga Del Sur (Dec. 23, 2018) - Stabbing incident transpired at Molave Public Market particularly in front of Delante’s Bakery, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 4:00 A.M of December 22, 2018.

Responding police officers of Molave Police saw a man lying in the ground in front of the Delante’s Bakery who was still breathing and was immediately brought to Blancia Hospital, Brgy. Blancia, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur but declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.

Victim was identified as Ronnie Castro, 38 years old, with a live-in partner, a boarder of Julieta Labajo’s boarding house located at Burgos St, Brgy. Madasigon, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur.

According to the bystanders at the Public Market who happened to witness the said incident, the victim Ronnie Castro was so drunk and gone uncontrollable, who was looking for trouble to anyone who passed by him. The unidentified suspect who was on board on a Honda XRM 125 color black came wanting to by bread at Delante’s Bakery was flagged down by the victim and challenges the suspect.

Suspect tried to evade Ronnie just to stay out on trouble but Ronnie was so eager to confront the suspect until the suspect opened his motorcycle U-box and took a knife and without hesitation stabbed Ronnie several times that hit his chest and a three (3) stabbed wounds on his right side of the body particularly at his ribs portion.

After the incident suspect fled from the area going towards Barnagay Dalaon, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur.

Female suspect arrested in Robbery Incident

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga Del Sur (Decc. 24, 20128) – A female suspect was arrested in Robbery incident transpired at Block 14, Lot 8, Alta Tierra Subdivision, Tiguma, Pagadian City at about 03:40 PM of December 23, 2018.

The Suspect identified as Airen Sanchez y Caylan, 18 years old, female, married, Filipino, jobless, and a resident of Purok 5, Barangay Sudlon, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The Victim identified as Celestina Dacula y Nemaria, 50 years old, female, widow, and a resident of Block 14, Lot 8, Alta Tierra Subdivision, Tiguma Pagadian City.

Initial investigation conducted by Pagadian CPS disclosed that prior to the arrest of the suspect, the complainant arrived at their house at the aforementioned place together with her son Prince who notice their sliding window already broken. He immediately went in front of the said broken sliding window and saw the unidentified female suspect that prompted the latter ran immediately towards the front door.

Celestina instructed her son to get inside the house to hold the fleeing suspect in which successfully arrested. She then saw the female suspect wearing her jewelries, dress and holding her maroon shoulder bag and found out the glass cabinet in the living room was broken. She then enters at her bedroom and saw the drawer open and her personal belongings were scattered at the floor causing her to call their neighbor asking to call for Police assistance.

After a few minutes, the PNP personnel of Pagadian CPS arrived and arrest the suspect and that after went to Pagadian City Police Station to report and to lodge their complaint.

Wanted Person Arrested

MAHAYAG, Zamboanga Del Sur (Dec. 24, 2018) – The PNP personnel of Mahayag MPS successfully arrested the suspect during the conduct of operation (service of warrant) at Purok 1, Brgy. Upper Salug, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 9:30 PM of December 23, 2018.

The operating team identified the arrested suspect as Consimino Bacalso Y Baterna, 34 years old, single, farmer and a resident of P-1 Brgy. Upper Salug Daku, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The suspect was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Frustrated Murder docketed under Criminal Case no.2016-10-3117 issued by Presiding Judge Jaime B. Caberte of RTC, Ninth Judicial Region, Branch 23, Molave Zamboanga Del Sur with bail bond 24,000.00 pesos.   

1 Died in Shooting Incident

PAGADIAN CITY, Zambaonga Del Sur (Dec. 26, 2018) - Shooting incident transpired along the street of Purok Bakhaw C, Kawit District, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 03:35 AM of December 25, 2018.

The Victim was identified as Wilmer Labrada y Heneral, 25 years old, male, Filipino, live-in, dishwasher of Marilyn eatery, and a resident of Purok Bakhaw C, Kawit District, Pagadian City.

The Suspect identified as Mark James Hedocil y Dela Torre, alias “Jepoy” 34 years old, male, Filipino, live-in, online seller, and a resident of Muslim Village, Kawit District, Pagadian City. 

Initial investigation conducted by Pagadian CPS disclosed that about 03:30 AM of December 25, 2018, the group of the victim had a heated argument with the group of the suspect who are all drunk.

The witness a 19 years old, male, single, and a resident of Purok Bakhaw C, Kawit, Pagadian City, cousin of the victim, saw the suspect more or less ten (10) meters from his position, opened the U-box compartment of his Mio 125 Yamaha motorcycle and took a firearm which he surreptitiously inserted on his waist and walked toward the location of the victim and without any words drew the firearm from his waist and shot the victim from behind hitting the victim’s nape.

As the victim fell to the ground, the suspect fired another two (2) shots hitting on the right side of the victim’s head that resulted to his instantaneous death.

The rerspomding police operatives Recovered from the crime scene were three (3) fired cartridge casings and one (1) fired bullet of Cal. 45 pistol.

After the incident, suspect fled towards Brgy San Pedro, Pagadian City direction. Motive of the incident was personal grudge.

Follow-up and hot pursuit operation against the fleeing suspect was conducted by the detective personnel of Pagadian City Police Station while a case of murder was being prepared for filing against the suspect.

2 Died in Road Crash Accident

DUMALINAO, Zambaonga Del Sur (Dec. 25, 2018) - Motor vehicular traffic accident transpired along the national highway of Purok Santan, Brgy Locuban Dumalinao, Zambaonga Del Sur at about 09:00 PM of December 24, 2018.

Vehicle/Motorcycle involved describe as;

V1 – one (1) SMC Skygo Hero red black with temporary plate no 0901-0327292 driven by Jonathan Aporado Timbawas, 17 years old, single, student a resident of Purok Kaymito, Brgy Anonang, ZDS together with his back rider Marvin Timbawas Gandamon , 16 years old, single, student and a resident of Purok Avocado, Brgy Buenavista, Pagadian City.

V2 – one (1) UV Mazda Titan Bongo red with temporary plate no 090102 registered in the name of Dexter Dalisay of Mampang Zamboanga City and was driven by Mark Anthony Amija Embores, 30 years old, married, a resident of Purok A, Brgy Lumbayao, Kabasalan, Zamboanga Sibugay.

Initial investigation conducted Dumalinao MPS disclosed that V1 was traversing from Poblacion Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur bound to Pagadian City road that upon reaching the descending curve of the place of the incident, allegedly the driver traversed into the opposite lane and head on collision on V2 that resulted to the instantaneous death of the driver of V1 while his back rider was immediately rushed to Hamellarin Hospital, Pagadian City but was declared dead by the attending physician. 

V2 incurred heavily damage in its front body with no injury to the driver that was brought to Dumalinao MPS for proper disposition.               

Reported Incidents in Zamboanga del Sur on December 17-22, 2018

Snatching Incident

PAGADIAN CITY (Dec. 17, 2018) - Snatching incident transpired at National Highway, Tuburan district, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 11:20 PM of December 16, 2018.

The victim was identified as Nancy Timtim Y Nuevo, Brgy Chairman of Brgy Lenienza, Pagadian city.

PNP personnel of Pagadian CPS conducted investigation disclosed that the victim together with one back rider on board XRM single motorcycle was traversing the National Highway, near Gamalinda Funeral Homes, Tuburan district, Pagadian City, two (2) unidentified male Motorcycle Riding Suspects approached them and the back rider suddenly grabbed her shoulder bag.

The victim and her back rider fell to the ground and crashes which resulted to minor injuries and they immediately headed towards Hofileña Hospital situated at Pajares Street, Gatas District, Pagadian City for medical treatment. P

NP Personnel of Pagadian City Police Station, were mobilized for the possible apprehension of the fleeing suspects.

RA 7610 Violator Arrested in Pagadian City

PAGADIAN CITY (Dec. 18, 2018) – The Police operatives of Pagadian City Police Station conducted manhunt operation at Purok Madasigon, Barangay Lala, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 1:40 AM of December 17, 2018.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Raymund Espinoza Malinao, 28 years old, male, with live-in partner, Filipino and a resident of Purok Masinugtanon, Barangay Lala, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The suspect was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for Violation Of Section 10 (a) Of Republic Act 7610 with criminal cases number 14117-2K18 issued on December 12, 2018 by Honorable Judge Analyn F. Ramas-Costanilla, Acting Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 22, Pagadian City with bail bond recommended fixed at Twenty Thousand Pesos (Php20,000.00).

The arrested suspect is now temporarily detained at Pagadian City Police Station for proper disposition.

Teacher Held in Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur for Estafa

MAHAYAG, Zamboanga del Sur (Dec. 18, 2018) – The PNP personnel of Mahayag Police Station conducted operation at Purok 4, Brgy. Poblacion, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 9:30 A.M., December 17, 2018.

The successful operation was resulted to the arrest of the suspect identified as Mryna Alberio y’ Malalay 48 years old married, Teacher, resident of Purok 4, Brgy. Poblacion, Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur.

The suspect was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Presiding Judge Crislyn C. Pangindian of 11th MCTC of Mahayag-Dumingag and Josefina, Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur dated November 29, 2018 for the crime of Estafa docketed under Criminal Case No. 5169- M with bail bond recommended for his temporary liberty fixed in the amount of Eighteen Thousand (P18, 000) Pesos.

The arreste suspect was immediately brought to Mahayag Municipal Police Station, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur for proper disposition.

Student was killed in hacking, suspect Habal-habal driver

SOMINOT, Zamboanga Del Sur (Dec. 19, 2018) – Student was killed in Hacking incident transpired at Purok 5, Brgy. Upper Sicpao, Sominot, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 6:30 PM of December 18, 2018. 

The victim was identified as Marjun E. Ortega, 23 years old, separated, student and a resident of Purok 7, Brgy. Upper Sicpao, Sominot, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The Suspect was identified as Junil Langoyan, legal age, habal-habal driver and a resident of Purok 1, Brgy. Tungawan, Sominot, Zamboanga Del Sur.

Investigation conducted by Sominot MPS disclosed that the motive of the incident was personal grudge. Wherein both of them was under the influence of liquor and was started in heated altercation that resulted to strike the suspect towards the victim by using a bolo.

  

Victim sustained Hack wounds on his forehead and his left ear and was rushed to Midsalip Infirmary Hospital for medication and subsequently transferred at MARHS Hospital, Ozamis City, Misamis Occidental for immediate medication.

Suspect had fled away heading to Poblacion Sominot, Zamboanga Del Sur on board on his single motorcycle.

Tribal Chieftain was shot to death

LAPUYAN, Zamboanga Del Sur (Dec. 19, 2018) - Tribal Chieftain was shot to death in shooting incident transpired at Purok Lenaw Gabi, Sayog, Lapuyan Zamboanga Del Sur at about 8:50 PM of December 18, 2018.

The victim was identified as Quizon Situl, 75 years old, married, Tribal Chieftain (Timuay) and a resident of Barangay Sayog, Lapuyan, Zamboanga Del Sur.

Initial investigation conducted by Lapuayan MPS disclosed that while the victim at his cornfield at that time an unidentified armed men shot him, hitting him at the different parts of his body that caused his instantaneous death.

Suspect fleed onfoot towards adjacent boundary of Barangay Sayog, Lapuyan, Zamboanga del Sur which is Municipality of San Miguel. Motive of the incident is still to be determined.

Anti-Illegal Gambling Operation

PITOGO, Zamboanga Del Sur (Dec. 19, 2018) - PNP personnel of Pitogo MPS conducted anti-illegal gambling operation at Purok Potato, Barangay Poblacion, Pitogo, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 05:00 PM of December 18, 2018.

The successful operation was resulted to the arrests of Jocelyn Antecristo Viajedor, 36 years old, female, married, Aylyn Cabante Aguanta, 40 years old, female, married and Divina Quimpan Dag-uman, 50 years old, female, married all residents of Purok Potato, Barangay Poblacion, Pitogo, Zamboanga del Sur.

Confiscated from their possession were one (1) set of playing cards and bet money amounted to Two hundred seventy pesos (Php 270.00).

The arrested persons are now under the custody of Pitogo MPS for proper disposition.

Theft Suspect Arrested

SAN PABLO, Zamboanga del  (Dec. 21, 2018) - PNP personnel of San Pablo MPS, conducted police operation on wanted person (Service of Arrest Warrant) at about 08:00 AM of December 20, 2018 at Barangay Poblacion, San Pablo, Zamboanga del Sur.

The operation resulted to the arrest of Rodel Branzuela y Alpad aka “loloy”, 22 years old, single, unemployed, a resident of Purok 3, Barangay Dapalayan, San Pablo, Zamboanga del Sur.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Qualified Theft docketed under Criminal Case No. 12967-2k16 issued on October 23, 2017 by Honorable Judge Benjamin R. Lanzaderas, Presiding Judge, RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 22, Pagadian City with a bail bond recommended of Twenty Thousand Pesos (Php20,000.00) for his temporary liberty.

The arrested person is now under the custody of San Pablo MPS for proper disposition.

Man Arrested for Carrying Unlicensed FA

MAHAYAG, Zamboanga del Sur (Dec. 22, 2018) - On December 21, 2018 at about 5:00 AM, PNP personnel of Mahayag MPS arrested the person of Severino Sister Y Labastida Jr., 42 years old, armed with undetermined type of caliber of firearm inside the premises of the venue Disco at Barangay Hall of Barangay Manguiles, Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur.

Responding PNP team recover from the possession and control of the suspect one (1) Chamber loaded Cal. 45 pistol 1911, with markings Colt S PT FA MFG CO HARTFORT CONN, CT., U.S.A. NO.135741, loaded with Six (6) live ammunitions and one (1) Cal. 45 Magazine.

 That latter suspect failed to show any pertinent documents of the above-described firearm prompted the responding Police officers to held him under arrest.

2 German Nationals Held for Physical Abuse

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga Del Sur (Dec. 12, 2018) - Physical abuse in relation to R.A 7610 transpired at Purok 5, Bogo, Pagadian City at about 9:00 AM December 11, 2018.

Investigation conducted by Pagadian City Police Station disclosed that the complainant/ victim identified as as Lucel Conol Mercurio, 28 years old, female, live-in partner of the suspect a resident of Purok 5, Bogo, Pagadian City.

The suspect identified as Hans Weber, 35 years old, male and Jasmin Binder, both German National and resident of Mancfalls, Germany and temporary residing at Purok 5, Bogo, Pagadian City.

According to the victim, the respondent Hans Weber slapped her while the other respondent Jasmin Binder grab her hair and punched her.

The victim shouted for help and the neighbors and the father of the victim tried to pacify but the respondents didn't listen. This prompted them to call for police assistance.

The two respondents were later held by the responding Pagadian City Police Station and brought to police station for the proper disposition of the case.

They are now temporarily detained at the detention cell of Pagadian City

Police Station.

30 Hurt, 1 Died in Vehicular Traffic Accident

DUMALINAO, Zamboanga Del Sur (Dec.13, 2018) – One died, 30 hurt in Vehicular traffic accident transpired along the National Highway of Purok Bolinao, Barangay Pantad, Dumalinao, Zambaonga Del Sur at about 3:30 PM of December 12, 2018.

Initial investigation conducted Dumalinao MPS disclosed that one (1) Isuzu Elf with plate number TDC 971, color mint green loaded with more or less 30 passengers coming from a birthday celebration at Pantad Beach Dumalinao.

However, upon their way back home to Brgy Rebokon, Dumalinao and upon reaching the ascending road of Purok Bolinao Brgy Pantad Dumalinao, the driver Jerry Besade Omapas, 43 years old, resident of Purok Taleran Brgy Rebokon Dumalinao failed to engage the gear of his driven vehicle causing it to run backward and out of control until it fell over the cliff causing the vehicle turn upside down. Further all passengers were immediately rushed to Zamboanga del Sur Medical Center whom sustain physical injuries for medication while the other passenger identified as Melardo Bertodaso, 24 years old, farmer was declared dead on arrival by his attending physician.

Housekeeper Held for Libel

SOMINOT, Zamboanga Del Sur (Dec. 13, 2018) - PNP personnel of Sominot MPS conducted police operation on wanted person (Service of Arrest Warrant) at Purok 7, Barangay Bulanay, Sominot, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 11:30 AM of December 12, 2018.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Marry Macalua Y Looc, 39 years old, housekeeper, married and a resident of Purok 7, Barangay Bulanay, Sominot, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Libel in relation to R.A. 10175 docketed under Criminal Case No. Q- R-QZN-18-04754-CR issued on October 12, 2018 by Honorable Judge Arthur O. Malabaguio, Presiding Judge, RTC, National Capital Judicial Region, Branch 93, Quezon City with bail bond recommended of Thirty Thousand pesos (Php30, 000.00) for her temporary liberty.

Fisherman Nabbed for the crime of Reckless Imprudence Resulting to Homicide

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Marlon Omaña Doroin, 24 years old, single, fisherman and resident of Brgy. Waleng-Waleng, Vincenzo Sagun, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The accused were arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Reckless Imprudence Resulting to Homicide docketed under Criminal Case No. 18-0076-M issued on June 18, 2018 by Honorable Judge Arnold M. Diabo, presiding judge of 9th Judicial Region, Branch 15, Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur with bail bond recommended of Twelve Thousand Pesos (Php12, 000.00) for his temporary liberty.

The operation was resulted to the arrests of the ssuspect identified as Edgar Pagal Dilao, 64 years old, married, Brgy. Councillor and Wilma Sensontic Dilao, 60 years old, married, teacher by profession both residents of Brgy. Daniel C. Mantos, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur. 

The accused were arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Estafa docketed under Criminal Case No. 5166- M issued on November 29, 2018 by Honorable Judge Crislyn C. Pangindian of 11th MCTC of Mahayag-Dumingag and Josefina, Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur with a bail bond recommended of Eighteen Thousand Pesos (Php18, 000.00) each for their temporary liberty.

Farmer Arrested for the Crime of Frustrated Murder

DIMATALING, Zamboanga Del Sur (Dec. 13, 2018) - Police operatives of Dimataling Police Station conducted police operation on wanted person (Service of Arrest Warrant) at Purok 1 Brgy. Tiniguangan, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 11:45 AM of December 12, 2018.  

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Danny Boy Mamaling Y Viral, 47 years old, with live-in partner, farmer and a resident of Purok 2 Brgy. Sumbato, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Frustrated Murder docketed under Criminal Case No. 03-072 issued on November 24, 2003 by Honorable Judge Edilberto G. Absin, Presiding Judge, RTC Branch 29, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur with bail bond recommended of Two Hundred Thousand Pesos (Php200,000.00) for his temporary liberty.

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga Del Sur (Dec. 13, 2018) – The Combined police operatives of Guipos Police Station and Sto. Tomas Police Station, Davao del Norte conducted joint police operation on wanted person (Service of Arrest Warrant) at about 09:15 AM of December 12, 2018 at Sitio El Canto, Brgy. Balagunan, Sto. Tomas, Davao del Norte. 

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Gerson Gibo Gerondio, 20 years old, single, and a resident of Purok 7, Barangay Bagong Oroquieta, Guipos Zamboanga del Sur.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Rape in relation to R.A. 7610 docketed under Criminal Case No. 14055-2K18 issued on October 23, 2018 by Honorable Judge Analyn F. Ramas-Costanilla of Regional Trial Court, Branch 22, Pagadian City with no bail bond recommended. 

The arrested person is now under the custody of Guipos MPS for proper disposition.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Ramon Regidor, resident of Purok Bayabas, Barangay Old Mirapao Dinas, Zamboanga del Sur.

Confiscated from his possession is One (1) unit Riffle grenade with pull trap m-76 ana-0015. The accused was arrested by virtue of Search Warrant for Violation of R.A 10591, issued on December 07, 2018 by Honorable Judge Ruben N Bance presiding judge of RTC Branch 29 of San Miguel Zamboanga Del Sur.

Vehicular Traffic Accident

LAKEWOOD, Zambaonga del Sur (Dec. 13, 2018) - Vehicular accident transpired along the national highway of Purok 2, Brgy Tubod, Lakewood, Zambaonga del Sur4:20 PM of December 12, 2018.

The vehicular accident was involving one (1) Fuso Fighter Truck with plate# 070110 registered under the name of Aison Surplus and Auto Parts Corp. and driven by a certain Ruben Supat y Anghag, 43 years old, married, male, Filipino with licensed # K09-95-003032, together with Janbryan Rupinta y Supat 18 years old, single, male, Filipino, truck-man of said truck both resident of Prk 2, Brgy Tubid, Ozamis City and Delber Moῆeza y Esito 38 years old, single, male, Filipino, Delivery Sales Personnel (DSP) of Elim Agricultural Supply located at Lam-an, Ozamis City and a resident of Prk 6, Brgy Villa, Ozamis City.

They were traversing along national highway from Ozamis City heading towards Ipil, Zamboanga Sebugay. That upon reaching Prk 2, Brgy Tubod, Lake Wood, Zamboanga del Sur particularly at the curve area, the air brake of said truck was exploded and fall down at said highway and slides over 20 meters until it was overshot at the canal.

The said driver and two other occupants of said truck have no injury sustained but the truck incurred damages estimated up to One Hundred Thousand Pesos (Php100, 000.00).

4 wanted persons arrested in Police Operation

DINAS, Zamboanga Del Sur (Dec. 13, 2018) - PNP Personnel of Dinas Police Station successfully arrested four wasnted persons during the conducted of police operation on wanted person at about 10:00 AM of December 12, 2018 at Purok Tres, Barangay Nian Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The operating team identified the arrested four persons as:

1. Mohalidin Uy Nian 58 year’s old, male, married and an incumbent Barangay Captain and a resident of Purok 6 Brgy. Nian Dinas.

2. Zoraida Yunos Cok, 51 years old, female, married, Filipino, farmer, and a resident of Purok 7, Barangay nian, Dinas.

3 Basit Mohammad Diwa, 47 years old, male, married, Filipino, farmer, and a resident of Purok 3, Barangay nian, Dinas

4. Noraida Yunos Cok, 48 years old, female, Filipino, farmer, single, and a resident of Purok 7, Barangay Nian, Dinas.

The four (4) accused persons were arrested by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for the crime in violation of section 94 of R.A 8550 and section 99 of R.A 10654 docketed under Criminal Case No. 17- 174, 17-144, 17-145 17-188 issued by Hon. Ruben N. Bance, Presiding Judge, Ninth Judicial Region, Branch 29, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur, with bail recommended amounting to Twenty four thousand (Php24,000) pesos each.

DINAS, Zamboanga Del Sur (Dec. 14, 2018) - PNP Personnel of Provincial Intelligence Branck, Dinas MPS, and San Miguel MPS conducted police operation on wanted person at about 10:00 AM of December 13, 2018 at Sitio Baka, Barangay Guiniculalay Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Junel Sege Molihon, 38 years old, male, widower, fishpond caretaker and a resident of Barangay Mati, San Miguel, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The accused person was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Robbery with Violence and/or Intimidation, under Criminal Case No. 07-041 with bail recommended of Fourty Thousan Pesos (P40, 000.00) issued on January 3, 2008; and for the crime of Murder under Criminal Case No. 13-085 with no bail recommended, issued on September 06, 2013.

All Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon Edilberto F. Absin, Presiding judge of RTC branch 29, San Miguel, Zamboanga Del Sur.

DUMINGAG, Zamboanga Del Sur (Decc. 13, 2018) - Police operatives of Dumingag Police Station and Zamboanga Del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company conducted police operation on search warrant (Service of Search Warrant) at Purok 5, Barangay Lower Timonan, Dumingag, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 03:45 AM of December 12, 2018.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Reno Onito Delivirio, resident of Purok 5, Barangay Lower Timonan, Dumingag, Zamboanga Del Sur.

Confiscated from his possession the following item to wit: One (1) Unit Cal. 45 Remington with serial No. 182649; Two (2) pcs of Magazine and Twelve (12) pcs live ammunitions of cal. 45.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Search Warrant No. 61 for Violation of R.A. 10591, issued on December 10, 2018 by Hon. Carol Morales, Presiding Judge of 9th Judicial Region, 1ST Municipal Trial Court, Tambulig, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The arrested person is now under the custody of Dumingag MPS for proper disposition.

1 minor injured in Motor Vehicle Traffic Accident

TIGBAO, Zamboanga del Sur (Dec. 15, 2018) – One minor was injured in Motor vehicle traffic accident (MVTA) transpired along National Highway particularly at Purok Pechay, Begong Tigbao, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 6:50 AM of December 14, 2018.

Investigation conducted by Tigbao MPS disclosed the vehicle involved in the accident was one Izuzu Truck Drop side, color yellow, bearing plate number MFT 408, registered under the name of Rafael Corsal Sarmiento with postal address of Lagumbingan, Midsayap, Cotabato and driven by Arnold Salindro y Pelotindos, 43 years old, married, driver by occupation.

The victim was a Pedestrian identified as a 15 years old single, student, and a resident of Barangay Motor-Sawa, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur.

Investigation further disclosed that (Izuzu Truck Drop side) was travelling along the national highway in route to Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay coming from Cagayan de Oro City and upon reaching the descending portion of the above mentioned place.

The said vehicle sideswiped/ bumped the victim to the front signal light (passenger side) that resulted the accident. Victim sustained physical injuries and immediately transported to Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center, Dao Pagadian City for treatment.

The Driver and vehicle involved was released from the custody of Tigbao MPS after both parties agreed to settle the problem.

Implementation of Search Warrant

DIMATALING, Zamboanga del Sur (Dec. 13, 2018) – The PNP elements of Tigbao Police implemented Search Warrant No. 2018-19, for Violation of R.A 10591 against the accused Reneboy Revilla Ordaniza, 28 years old, single, farmer and a resident of Purok 10 Sitio Lasak, Buburay, Dimataling, Zamboanga del Sur On December 12, 2018 at about 5:45 AM.

The Search Warrant issued by Hon. Pacifico T Cimafranca, Jr, Presiding Judge, 8th MCTC, Dumalinao-San Pablo-Tigbao and Guipos, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur dated December 11, 2018. 

The said operation was resulted to the arrest of the above-said accused and seized one (1) unit of Hand Grenade Assembly with safety case.

Arrested person was informed of his constitutional rights under Miranda Doctrine and subsequently brought to this office for proper documentation and disposition.

The case for Viol of R.A 9516 is now being prepared by the Tigbao Police Station.

LABANGAN, Zamboanga Del Sur  (Dec. 16, 2018) - PNP elements Labangan MPS deputized by Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) conducted police operation against Illegal Quarrying at Purok Lawag, Barangay Tawagan Norte, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur at about 11:00 AM of December 15, 2018.

The operation was resulted to the confiscation of four (4) unit trucks, to wit

a.   One (1) Unit Isuzu Forward Truck, color white, bearing plate number YGU-935, driven by Dean Baterna Sabado, 42 years old, male, married and a resident of Purok Liwliwa, Brgy Tawagan Norte, Labangan, ZDS owned and registered under the name of Alexander Tumala, of legal age, male, married, businessman, and a resident of Urro street, San Francisco District, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur ;

b. One (1) Unit Hino Ranger High Side Dump Truck, color blue, bearing plate number MGF-443, engine nr H07D-A126507, chassis nr FC3HCA-15875, driven Rey Ranera Dots, 44 years old, male, married and a resident of Brgy Purok 1, Brgy Sta. Cruz, Labangan, ZDS and registered under the name of Alexander Tumala, of legal age, male, married, businessman, and a resident of Urro street, San Francisco District, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur;  

c. One (1) Unit Fuso Fighter Dump Truck, color white, bearing license plate number RML-382, engine no. 6D15-320132, chassis no. FK416E-50528, driven by Nestor Muños Dinglasa, 54 years old, male, married and a resident of Brgy Sto. Niño, Pagadian City, ZDS owned and registered under the name of Alexander Tumala, of legal age, male, married, businessman, and a resident of Urro street, San Francisco District, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur ; and

d. One (1) Unit Isuzu Elf Mini Dump truck, color green, without plate number attached, engine no.4HF1-145483, chassis no. NPR66G-7102251, owned and registered under the name of Edwin Martinez, of legal age, male, and a resident Alta Tierra, Brgy Napolan, Pagadian City, ZDS, and driven by Jimboy Tilawan Pantalan, 32 years old, male, married, and a resident of Purok Waling-waling, Brgy. Napolan, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur.

All mentioned vehicles were caught on the spot (quarry site owned by Emmanuel Cagampang aka “Jojo Cagampang” located at Purok Lawag, Tawagan Norte, Labangan, ZDS) being loaded with aggregates (Sand).

The total volume of confiscated aggregates loaded in four (4) trucks is estimated to Twenty (20) Cubic Meters with an estimated value of 12,000 pesos at the price of 600 pesos per Cubic Meter. Said confiscated trucks are now in the custody of Labangan MPS for proper disposition.

Alarm and Scandal Incident

DIMATALING, Zamboanga del Sur (Dec. 17, 2018) - Qualified trespass to dwelling and alarm and scandal incident transpired at Purok 01, Barangay Baluno, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 2:45 AM of December 16, 2018.

The victim was identified as Gregoria Carreon y Tambus, 62 years old, married, housewife and a resident of Purok 01, Barangay Baluno, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The suspect identified as Jay Balang y Jalandoni, male, married, 28 years old, farmer and a resident of Barangay Baha, Dimataling, Zamboanga del Sur.

Investigation conducted disclosed that while the victim together with her husband Gregorio Carreon Sr. and her son Gregorio Carreon Jr. were inside their house at the afore-stated place sleeping, Gregorio Jr. was awaked by the loud and angry voice of the suspect (Jay Balang) who entered their house holding a handgun looking for his younger brother Raymond Carreon.

Gregoria Carreon also awaked and stood up from bed and told the suspect that her son Raymond was not around, suspect became angry and suddenly squeezed the trigger of his handgun pointing upward hitting the galvanized roof of the said house and immediately went outside from the victim’s house.

PNP elements of Dimataling MPS was able to recovered one (1) spent shell of alleged caliber .45 at the crime scene;      

Investigation further revealed that on December 14, 2017 Raymond Carreon and Joy Balang the identical twin of the suspect involved in the mauling incident that transpired at Purok 02, Baluno, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur, victim believed that suspect might take a revenge against her son Raymond;

That immediately PNP elements of Dimataling MPS conducted hot pursuit operation against the fleeing suspect but to no avail.

Dimataling MPS is continuously conducting thorough investigation in order to file appropriate charges against the suspect. Motive of the incident is personal grudge.
