Arrest of Wanted Person
The PNP personnel of Lapuyan Municipal Police Station led
by PSI ROGER A BARTIANA, Chief of Police, and PSI ROQUE D HAMID, Deputy Chief
of Police, conducted a buy-bust operation at Barangay Tininghalang, Lapuyan,
Zamboanga del Sur on August 12, 2016 at about 5:30 PM. The operation resulted
to the death of one (1) Bryan Landiao y Nango (Included in the Drug Watch list
of Lapuyan Municipality), legal age, male, married, habal - habal driver, and
resident of Poblacion Lapuyan, Zamboanga del Sur. The victim died during the
buy-bust operation when he suddenly drew his calibre 38 revolver towards the
PNP personnel who acted as poseur-buyer when he declared his arrest that
prompted the poseur buyer to shoot the suspect. The victim sustained gunshot
wound on his head which resulted to his instantaneous death. The following were
the pieces of evidence recovered from the crime scene: Three (3) Heat Sealed
transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to
be “shabu” ; One (1) Folded aluminum foil; One (1) NOKIA “N105” black cellphone
; One (1) Cal. 38 revolver pistol; Four (4) Cal. 38 live ammunitions; One
(1) Mini bolo with scabbard; Two (2) pieces 500 peso bill; One (1) piece 100 peso bill; and Four (4) pieces 50 peso bill; Twelve (12) pieces 20 peso bill;
One (1) Cal 9mm empty shell; and SKYGO WIZARD 125 motorcycle, color black. The
cadaver was turned-over by the Local Government Unit of Lapuyan Municipality
thru the Municipal Mayor to the immediate family of the victim.
Illegal Drug
The PNP personnel of Mahayag Municipal Police Station led
by PO3 Arlie M Gumba, Team Leader, under the supervision of PCI HOMER T
DUMALAG, Chief of Police, conducted a buy-bust operation at Mabanag Mountain
Spring Resort, Barangay Tuboran, Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur on August 12, 2016
at about 3:45 PM. The operation resulted to the arrest of suspect Jasper Montealto
y Oliverio, 36 years old, single, resident of Purok 2, Barangay DCM, Mahayag,
Zamboanga del Sur. Confiscated from his possession and control were the
following: Three (3) small heat sealed transparent plastic sachet believed to
be shabu; One (1) piece rolled aluminium foil; and Three (3) pieces one hundred peso bills with
serial numbers GQ604607, MM374836 and XT066960. The suspect is now temporarily
detained at Mahayag MPS while an inquest case for violation of RA 9165
(Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002) is prepared for filing in court.
On Illegal Fishing
The PNP personnel of Margosatubig Municipal Police Station led by PCI ANDREW T LIMOD, Chief of Police, together with personnel of Philippine Navy led by PO2 Reynaldo V. Cordero and personnel from Philippine Coast guard led by PO2 Willy P. Pardillo, conducted joint seaborne patrol operation at the sea waters of Dumanquillas Bay of Margosatubig, Vencinzu Sagun, and Lapuyan, Zamboanga del Sur at about 6:00 AM of August 12, 2016. The operation resulted to the confiscation of one (1) fishing boat locally known as “Wak-Wak” and arrest of its four (4) crews, namely: Mark Elizer Camins Y Gabas, 24 years old, male, single; Roque Abadan Y Villanueva, 47 years old, male, married; Jayrold Gallardo Y Camins, 29 years old, married, fisherman; and Roberto Ortega Y Recomedo, 24 years old, single, all fishermen, all residents of Purok Daisy 2, Poblacion Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur. The fishing boat was owned by Arcel Andujar y Camins, 32 years old, married, former OFW, and resident of Purok Daisy 2, Poblacion Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur. Confiscated from the possession and control of the crews were the following: one (1) improvised dynamite without blasting cap; one (1) fine mesh net; and one (1) Fishing boat. Confiscated items now under the custody Margosatubig MPS for proper disposition of the case.
