November 24-28, 2018 - Reported Incident in Zamboanga del Sur

Shooting Incident

MOLAVE, Zamboanga del Sur (Nov. 25, 2018) - Shooting incident transpired along the road of Purok Paglaum, Barangay Mabuhay, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 9:40 PM of November 24, 2018.

Upon receipt of the report, immediately alert team of Molave MPS proceeded to the area and upon arrival thereat, the team found an unidentified person lying on the road next to his motorcycle.

Investigation disclosed that the victim was identified as Teofilo Gulanin Niez Jr, 54 years old, Punong Barangay of Barangay Dontolan, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur.

It was further disclosed that said victim had a companion identified as Estrella Mislos Hinoqin, female, 39 years old, with live-in partner, Barangay Records Keeper of Barangay Dontolan, Molave, Zamboanga del Sur who also sustained gunshot wound and was immediately brought to Salug Valley Medical Center, Molave, Zamboanga del Sur.

Accordingly, both victims were onboard on a single motorcycle bound to Brgy. Dontolan, Molave, Zambaonga del Sur when suddenly chased by two unidentified suspects also onboard on a Red Honda XRM motorcycle and shot them several times and fled towards Brgy. Parasan, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur.

Molave MPS is now conducting follow-up investigation and hot pursuit operation for the possible identification and arrest of the suspects. Motive of the incident is still to be determined.

Implementation of Search Warrant

DIMATALING, Zamboanga del Sur (Nov. 26, 2018) - On November 25, 2018 at about 5:30 AM, PNP elements of Dimataling MPS conducted police operation on implementation of Search Warrant.

Search Warrant No. 2018-18 for Violation of R.A 10591 was issued by Presiding Judge, 8th MCTC, Dumalinao-San Pablo-Tigbao and Guipos, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur dated November 23, 2018 at Purok 4 Lalab, Dimataling, Zamboanga del Sur.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Rogen Sedenio Tubac, 48 years old, married, farmer, with postal address at Purok 1 San Roque, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur and seized one unit of M16 Armalite Rifle Replica.

The arrested subject person and seized evidence are now under the custody of Dimataling MPS for proper disposition.

RA 7610 Violator Arrested

MAHAYAG, Zamboanga Del Sur (Nov. 25, 2018) – The PNP personnel of Mahayag MPS conducted police operation on wanted person (Service of Arrest Warrant) at about 10:30 AM of November 24, 2018 at Purok 3, Brgy. San Jose, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Rolando Rosillosa Hesuler, 52 years old, (DOB: June 19, 1966), married, farmer and a resident of Purok 3, Brgy. San Jose, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime Child Abuse (R.A. 7610) docketed under Criminal Case No. 2018-10-3594 issued on November 21, 2018 by Honorable Judge Jaime B. Caberte, Presiding Judge of RTC 9, Branch 23, Molave, Zamboanga del Sur with a bail bond recommended of Fifty Thousand Pesos (Php50,000) for his temporary liberty.

The arrested person is now under the custody of Mahayag MPS for proper disposition.

2 Arrested for Theft

MARGOSATUBIG, Zamboanga del Sur (Nov. 27, 2018) - Two individuals who were charged for the crime of theft were arrested by PNP personnel of Margosatubig Municipal Police Station during the operation against wanted person at Barangay. Poblacion, Margosatubig Zamboanga Del Sur at about 10:45 A.M November 26, 2018.

PCSUPT Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Regional Director identified the arrested wanted persons as Arcel Andujar, 34 years old and Arwena Dolorosa, 36 years old, of legal ages, married, both resident of Brgy. Poblacion, Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The ssuspect was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Qualified Theft issued by Hon. Ruben N. Bance, presiding judge of 9th Judicial Region, Branch 29, San Miguel, Zamboanga Del Sur with Twenty four Thousand Pesos (Php24,000.00) bail each recommended. Both wanted person is now under the custody of Margosatubig MPS for proper disposition.

Shooting Incident

PAGADIAN CITY (Nov. 28, 2018) – The Shooting incident transpired at Purok Aquino, Balangasan District, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 2:40 AM of November 27, 2018.

Investigation Conducted by Pagadian City Police Station disclosed the victim identified as Arnel Albarico Yap, 38 years old, male, married, a Polaris laborer, and a resident of Purok Palmera, Balangasan District, Pagadian City.

Further investigation disclosed that, prior to the incident, the victim was driving his black single XRM motorcycle with plate number 1339 to look for a passenger, at the vicinity of Purok Aquino, Balangasan District Pagadian City and allegedly there were two unidentified male person riding on an undetermined kind of single motorcycle abruptly stopped block the victim on the road and without any apparent reason shot him several times.

Thus the victim speeds up to elude the suspect, however the victim rolled down and left his single motorcycle and ran on foot, hiding himself at the houses near the area.

The victim sustained lone gunshot wound on his buttocks, and was being brought by the responding Police Officers to Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center, Dao Pagadian City.

The suspect fled unseen riding single motorcycle. The motive of the incident is yet to be determined.

Stabbing Incident

AURORA, Zamboanga del Sur (Nov. 27, 2018) - Stabbing incident transpired at Purok Pantalan, Brgy. Balas, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 8:00 PM of November 26, 2018.

Investigation conducted by Aurora MPS disclosed that victim identified as Remejeldo Braga y Pacencia, male, 34 years old, fisherman by occupation and a resident of Purok Pantalan, Brgy. Balas, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur was inside the house of Ismeraldo Sarcaoga, attending birthday celebration when the suspect identified as Benny Benjamin Sr y Bravo, male, 54 years old, fisherman, widow, and resident of Prk. Pantalan Brgy. Balas, arrived and believed to be under the influence of intoxicating liquor and without any provocation stabbed the victim (Remejeldo Braga y Pacencia) using a kitchen knife.

As a result hereof, the victim sustained two (2) stabbed wounds on his left side chest and one on his left arm and was immediately brought to Aurora Community Emergency (ACE) Hospital situated at Brgy. Cabilinan, this municipality for medication but transferred to Aurora Infirmary Hospital, Poblacion, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur and subsequently referred to Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Medical Center, Dao, Pagadian City for further medication.

The suspect was voluntarily surrendered to the Police Officers to include the kitchen knife use in stabbing. Suspect is now temporarily detained at Aurora MPS for proper case disposition. Motive of the incident was personal grudge.

Incident Reports in Zamboanga del Sur - November 21-23, 2018

Shooting Suspect Arrested

LABANGAN, Zamboanga del Sur (Nov. 22, 2018) – The Combined PNP elements from 902nd Maneuver Company of RMFB9, Labangan MPS and Regional Intelligence Division 9 successully arrested the suspt of shooting incident during the conduct of hot pursuit operation at Barangay Camanga, Tukuran Municipality, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 2:00 P.M. of November 21, 2018.

The operating team identified the arrest asa certain Alham Ayub A.K.A. "Badoy," the suspect in the shooting incident on Nov. 20, 2018 at Purok 3, Upper Campo Islam, Labangan Municipality, Zamboanga Del Sur at around 7:00 P.M.

The victim was identified as certain Tanana Maulana (wounded and hospitalized).

Suspect was successfully arrested and apprised of his constitutional rights at aforementioned place and now undergoing documentation at Labangan MPS. 

Wanted Person Cuffed

PAGADIAN CITY (Nov. 23, 2018) - Joint PNP personnel of Pagadian City Police Station, Regional Intelligence Division 9 and 902nd RMFB 9 conducted police operation on Wanted Person at Purok Kahayag, Barangay Dumagoc, Pagadian City at about 12:22 PM of November 22, 2018.

The operation was resulted to the arrest Jovan Colot Y Pacalioga, 20 years old (June 9, 1998), male, married, Filipino and a resident of Purok Kahayag, Barangay Dumagoc, Pagadian City.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Robbery With Violence Against And Intimidation Of Person with criminal case number 19850 issued on March 15, 2017 by Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, 7th Judicial Region, Branch 48, Tagbilaran City, Bohol. Bail bond recommended of One Hundred Thousand Pesos (Php100, 000.00).

The arrested subject person is now under the custody of Pagadian City Police Station for proper disposition

November 19-21, 2018 Incident Reports in Zamboanga del Sur

1 person wounded in Shooting Incident

PAGADIAN CITY, Nov. 20, 2018) – One person was wounded in Shooting incident transpired at Purok Bethlehem, Barangay Banale, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 12:45 PM of November 19, 2018.

The victim was identified as Mario Piga y Fernando, male, Filipino, 55 years old, Retired Philippine Army/AFP Reservist Enlisted Personnel, currently an ROTC Instructor of JH Cerilles State College, Pagadian City and a resident of Purok Bethlehem, Barangay Banale, Pagadian City.

Accordingly, said victim was allegedly washing his plates outside his residence when two male persons onboard lady type Black Smash motorcycle without plate number attached appeared in front of their gate with more or less ten meters away and shot the victim several times and thereafter fled towards the direction of Barangay Banale-Santo Niño, Pagadian City.

Recovered from the crime scene were twelve pieces fired cartridge cases of alleged cal. 45, one deformed fired bullet, and one deformed metal jacket.

The victim was immediately brought to Hofileña Hospital, FS Pajares Ave., Gatas District, Pagadian City by his son Michael Piga.

Further, investigation disclosed that the victim has just received his retirement benefits and lately was at odds with his wife where their relationship became estrange out of wife’s demand of controlling the victim’s money.

Pagadian City Police Station is now conducting follow-up investigation for the possible identification and arrest of the suspect.

Follow-up reports on Shooting Incident

PAGADIAN CITY, Nov. 20, 2018) – One person wopundd in Shooting incident transpired in front of Kismet Cable TV Office, Corner Aquino St., and Cabrera St., Gatas, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 5:30 PM of November 19, 2018.

The victim identified as Arnel Maliao y Sotomayor, 39 years old, Filipino, cable technician, and a resident of Alta Tierra, Tiguma, Pagadian City was shot by two unidentified male persons riding in tandem onboard XRM Red and White.

Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident; the victim was going out from his working place at Kismet Cable TV when he was approached by the gunman-back rider of a waiting motorcycle of more or less three meters distance along Cor. Aquino and Cabrera St. The victim sustained four gunshot wounds of his stomach and arms.

The suspects are two unidentified male persons where the gunman was wearing hooded brown jacket, black sandal, and maong pants onboard XRM color white and red motorcycle driven by male person wearing blue helmet (close type) and maong pants. The 2 suspects fled towards Cabrera St., traversing Balangasan, Pagadian City.

Recovered from the crime scene were three pieces fired cartridge case of alleged cal. 45, one fired bullet, and one deformed fired bullet.

The victim was immediately brought to Hofileña Hospital, FS Pajares Ave., Gatas Dist., Pagadian City by his co-employees. The victim was in critical condition and is subject for an urgent surgical operation.

PNP personnel of Pagadian City Police Station is now conducting a follow up investigation on the possible identification and filling of the appropriate case against the suspect/s.

Wanted Person Cuffed in Tabina, Zamboanga Del Sur

TABINA, Zamboanga del Sur (Nov. 21, 2018) - PNP personnel of Tabina Municipal Police Station conducted manhunt operation against wanted person at Purok Paradise, Barangay Abong-Abong, Tabina, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 8:00 AM of November 20, 2018.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of the suspect identified as one Rey Regalado y Lamesa, 36 years old, married, fisherman, and a resident of Purok Paradise, Barangay Abong, Abong, Tabina, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The accused  was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Presiding judge of 9th Judicial Region, Branch 29, RTC, of San Miguel with Criminal Case number 18-107 for the crime of Violation of R.A 9262 with bill recommended of thirty-six thousand pesos (36,000.00).

Said person temporarily detained at Tabina Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.

November 17-19, 2018 - Reported incident in Zamboanga del Sur

Rape Suspect Arrested

AURORA, Zamboanga del Sur (Nov. 18, 2018) – The PNP personnel of Aurora Municipal Police Station conducted police operation service of warrant at Purok Bolonsiri, Brgy Camaman-an, Cagayan De Oro City at about 8:00 PM of November 17, 2018.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Roland Bartolata Y Actub, male, 52 years old, male, married, driver by occupation and a resident of Brgy. Cebuneg, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur.

The suspect was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of “Multiple Rape” docketed under criminal case no. 07-10,529 issued by Hon Ernesto MVE Laurel Presiding Judge of branch 30, RTC 9th Judicial Region, Aurora Zamboanga del Sur dated March 18, 2008 with no bail recommended.

1 person wounded in Hacking Incident

MARGOSATUBIG, Zamboanga del Sur (Nov. 19, 2018) – One person was wounded in Hacking incident transpired at Purok Caimito Brgy Kalian, Margosatubig Zamboanga Del Sur at about 8:30 PM of November 18, 2018.

The victim was identified as Phil Guieya y Macaambak, 35 years old, single, jobless and resident of Purok Lansones, Brgy. Kalian, Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur.

Suspect identified as Edgardo Lagata y Basay, 51 years old, married farmer and resident of Purok Lansones Brgy. Kalian, Margosatubig Zamboanga del Sur.

Investigation conducted disclosed that the motive of the incident was from profanity uttered by the victim towards the suspect, wherein both of them was under the influence of liquor that started in a heated altercation that resulted to strike the suspect towards the victim by using a bolo.

Victim sustained Hack wounds on his forehead and nose and was rushed to Margosatubig Regional Hospital for medical treatment.

The suspect was arrested and bladed weapon used was recovered. The arrested person is now under the custody of Margosatubig MPS for proper disposition.

2 Students were wounded in Motor Vehicular Traffic Accident

TABINA, Zamboanga del Sur (Nov. 19, 2018) – Two student were wounded in Motor vehicular traffic accident transpired along the Provincial Road of Purok Paran, Poblacion, Tabina, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 6:35 PM of November 18, 2018.

The victims were 19 years old, Grade 11 student and a resident of Purok Sanib Langis. Barangay Poblacion, Tabina, Zamboanga del Sur and 18 years old female Grade 12 student and a resident of Purok Paran, Barangay Poblacion, Tabina, Zamboanga del Sur.

Investigation conducted disclosed that the victims were just walking at the left side of the Road when a SMC Sky go King 125, whose owner/driver was identified as Danny Arbelo, 26 years old, single and resident of Purok Uptown, Poblacion, Tabina, Zamboanga Del Sur, was travelling on a high speed in an opposite direction (Poblacion Proper to Purok Paran) suddenly hit/bump the two victims.

Both victims sustained injuries in different parts of their body and were rushed to Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center, Dao, Pagadian City for immediate medication.

After the incident, the SMC driver fled towards the hilly areas of Brgy. Poblacion, Tabina, Zamboanga Del Sur.

1 person was killed in Stabbing Incident

DINAS, Zamboanga del Sur (Nov. 18, 2018) – One person was killed in Stabbing incident transpired at Purok San Flower, Poblacion, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 10:45 PM of November 17, 2018.

Initial investigation disclosed that the victim identified as Elmer Dapiton Pasgala, 35 years old, Married, laborer by occupation and a resident of Purok San Flower,Poblacion Dinas, Zamboanga del Sur, he was stabbed once by suspect identified as Jason Peratir Dorimon, 24 years old, male, single, laborer by occupation and a resident also of above mentioned place.

Further investigation revealed that the suspect as well as the victim having a drinking spree session at Luz Lagamon Videoke bar, when the drinking session done, the suspect and victim went home together at their respective house and when Jason Dorimon (suspect) arrived at his house, gone wild that caused their neighbors to panic and disturbed thereat.

Elmer Pasgala (victim) approached and caution the suspect, but the suspect got mad and get a sharp knife and without sufficient reason he stabbed the victim once and the victim able to retaliate by using a knife and stabbed the suspect once also.

After the incident the victim and suspect sustained stabbed wound at their stomach and they rushed to Chavez Medical Clinic for immediate medical treatment but the victim declared dead on arrival according to attending physician, subsequently the suspect transfer to Zamboanga del Sur Medical Center for further medical attention. Motive of the incident was personal grudge. 

Reported Incident in Zamboanga del Sur - November 16, 2018

1 person died in Motor vehicular traffic accident

TUKURAN, Zamboanga del Sur (Nov. 16, 2018) – One person was died in Motor vehicular traffic accident transpired at National Highway of Purok 3, Barangay Navalan, Tukuran Zamboanga Del Sur at about 6:00 PM of November 15, 2018.

The victim was identified as Andres Gongob Entero, 79 years old, married, farmer and a resident of same place, he was hit and bumped by a pick-up (Nissan Navarra) vehicle, color orange with plate for registration.

Investigation conducted disclosed that the victim suddenly crossed the road of the said highway when the fast-moving vehicle described above hit/bumped him.

The driver of the vehicle did not stop and instead drive away while the victim was thrown to the road who sustained severe injuries in the head and other parts of his body which caused of his death.

Woman was shot to death by riding in tadem

MIDSALIP, Zamboanga del Sur (Nov. 16, 2018) – A woman was shot to death by the rideing in tandem, the Shooting incident transpired at Barangay Guma, Midsalip, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 6:40 PM of November 15, 2018.

The Victim was identified as Luzminda Lomoloy y Hinaut, 57 years old widower, sales lady of Trisha Merchandise and resident of Purok, Brgy, Buloron, Midsalip Zambo. Sur.

She was shot to death by unidentified suspects with the used of cal. 45 based on recovered fired empty shell at the crime scene.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim was riding a single motorcycle rusi 125 color black as a passenger, driven by Jomar Catili y Langilan 20 years old single a habal2x driver resident of Brgy lumponid, Midsalip, ZDS.

 While travelling towards Brgy Buloron Midsalip, Zambo.Sur that upon reaching at National highway of Prk 4 Brgy, Guma, Midsalip, ZDS, one single motorcycle XRM 125 color black without plate number run beside them and suddenly the backrider drawn his firearm without apparent reason pointed the gun shouted and commanded to Jomar in bisayan dialect “ hunong hunong”.

With the fear to be shot, Jomar immediately stop his motor and that instant the back rider of XRM 125 shot the victim several times.

The victim sustained two gunshot wound particularly left portion of the eye brow and left portion of her ear that causes her instantaneous death.

Recover from the crime scene were one live ammo and one empty shell of cal. 45.

After the incident the suspects fled towards direction of Sominot, Zambo. Sur. Motive of the incident still to be determined.

Arrest of Wanted Person

MOLAVE, Zambonga del Sur (Nov. 16, 2018) – The PNP personnel of Bayog MPS and Molave MPS conducted joint police operation on wanted person (Service of Arrest Warrant) at about 1:00 PM of November 15, 2018 at Purok 6, Poblacion Bayog, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The operation was resulted to the successful arrest of the suspect identified as Ernie Abarides Bueno, 39 years old, Married, van conductor and a resident of Purok 6, Poblacion Bayog, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for Violation of R.A 9262 with Criminal Case # 2018-10-3503 and 2018-10-3504 issued on September 28, 2018 by Honorable Judge Jaime B Caberte, Presiding Judge of, Ninth Judicial Region, Branch 23, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur, with no bail recommended.

The accused is now under the custody of Molave MPS for proper disposition.

November 15-18, 2018 Reported Incident in Zamboanga del Sur

Top 8 Most Wanted Person of Bayog MPS, Captured

BAYOG, Zamboanga del Sur (Nov. 16, 2018) – The PNP personnel of Bayog MPS and Siay MPS successfully arrested the suspect during the conduct ofjoint manhunt operation against wanted person at Purok 3, Barangay Bagong Silang, Siay, Zamboanga Sibugay at about 10:20pm of November 14, 2018.

The operating team identified the arrested wanted person as Carlito Cabalida Dela Peña, 44 years old, widower, rubber tapper and a resident of Purok 3, Bagong Silang, Siay, Zambo. Sibugay.

The suspect was listed as the Top 8 Most Wanted Person in Bayog Municipal Police Station, Zamboanga del Sur.

The suspect was arrestedby virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Frustrated Murder docketed under Criminal Case number 6531-2k2 issued by Hon. Franklyn A Villegas, Presiding Judge of, Ninth Judicial Region, Branch 19, Pagadian City, Zambo. Sur issued on November 29, 2002 with recommended bail of Php200,000.00 Philippine pesos.

RA 9262 Violator Held

BAYOG, Zamboanga del Sur (Nov. 16, 2018) – The PNP personnel of Bayog MPS and Molave MPS conducted joint police operation on wanted person (Service of Arrest Warrant) at about 1:00 PM of November 15, 2018 at Purok 6, Poblacion Bayog, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Ernie Abarides Bueno, 39 years old, Married, van conductor, and a resident of Purok 6, Poblacion Bayog, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for Violation of R.A 9262 with Criminal Case # 2018-10-3503 and 2018-10-3504 issued on September 28, 2018 by Presiding Judge of, Ninth Judicial Region, Branch 23, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur, with no bail recommended.

The accused is now under the custody of Molave MPS for proper disposition.

1 person was killed in Shooting and Robbery with Homicide

R. MAGSAYSAY, Zamboanga del Sur (Nov. 16, 2018) – One person was killed in Shooting incident transpired Purok 2, Barangay Esperanza, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 12:20 PM of November 15, 2018.

The victim was identified as Mr. Martiniano Magno y Villasincio, 59 years old, married, driver and a resident of Barangay Diwan Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that the victim is an official driver (For hire) by the lending company of Life Bank Foundation Incorporated located at Culo, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur accompanied by his agent collector/account officer Ms. Maria Theresa Galorio y Villaber, 38 years old, single, and a resident of Bless Culo, Molave.

Investigation further revealed that the victim and Ms. Maria Theresa were collecting money loan as a payment in every member of their lending from municipality of Sominot and Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga Del Sur that upon reaching the said place of incident the two suspects riding an XRM single motorcycle accosted them while entering at a curve lane remote area.

There and then the suspect shout, declared hold-up and instantly shot the driver on his back which resulted his untimely death after which suspect turned towards the passenger while pointing the cal.45 pistol asking for money which the suspect successfully carted away the bag containing money amounted to Forty Nine Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy Five (Php49,775.00).

The unidentified suspects immediately fled away towards Barangay Poblacion, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga Del Sur direction after the incident, while PNP personnel of Ramon Magsaysay MPS conducted manhunt operation to possibly locate and arrest the fleeing suspects.

Man Held for Possessing Unlicensed FA

V. SAGUN, Zamboanga del Sur (Nov. 15, 2018) - On November 14, 2018 at about 3:15 PM, Hon. Binigno Sombilon, Barangay Chairman of Barangay Maculay, Vincenzo Sagun, Zamboanga Del Sur, personally reported to V Sagun MPS that there was a person armed with a hand gun at Purok Tangigi, of Barangay Maculay, particularly at Champion Construction bunkhouse and pointing handgun to the person who pass by the road.

The PNP team of V Sagun MPS proceeded at the aforementioned place and spotted one person walking along the road that is unruly and believed under the influence of liquor and brandishing the short firearm.

That team immediately frisked the said person and then confiscated the short firearm from his right hand which is caliber 357 without serial number and no ammunition and after the arrest was made said person was identified as Teodoro Ibarra Otanio, 52 years old, a watchman of Champion Construction.

Arsonist Arrested by PNP Personnel

PAGADIAN CITY (Nov. 17, 2018) – The Joint PNP personnel of Pagadian CPS, San Pablo MPS and RFMB 9 conducted police operation on Wanted Person at Gov. VM. Cerilles Street, Purok Golden Shower, Barangay Santa Maria, Pagadian City at about 2:30 PM of November 16, 2018.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Roland Malaubang Itomay, 36 years old (October 20, 1992), male, single, Filipino, presently residing at Purok Sweetlove, Barangay Dumagoc, Pagadian City with postal address at Purok 1, Barangay Kalilangan, San Pablo, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for crime of Arson with criminal case number 13587-2K17 issued on July 17, 2018 by Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 21, Pagadian City with bail recommended of Forty Thousand Pesos (PhpP40, 000.00).

The arrested subject person is now under the custody of San Pablo MPS for proper disposition.

Widow Arrested for the Crime of Frustrated Murder With Arson

LABANGAN, Zamboanga del Sur (Nov. 10, 2018) – The PNP personnel of Guipos MPS, Zamboanga Del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company and Labangan MPS successfully arrested the wanted person during the conduct of jointpolice operation on wanted person at Purok, Pamintaran, Barangay Bulanit, Labangan, Zamboanga del Surat about 8:30am November 10, 2018.

The operating team identified the arrested wanted personasIrenia Himagan Pangate, 67 years old, widow and a resident of Purok 4, Brgy. Dalapan, Guipos, Zamboanga Del Sur

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Frustrated Murder with Arson under criminal case number 6776-2k3 issued by Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 20, Pagadian City, dated June 19, 2003 with recommended bail bond of Two Hundred Thousand Pesos (Php200,000.00).

The arrested subject person is now under the custody of Guipos MPSfor proper disposition. 

Shooting Incident

DIMATALING, Zamboanga del Sur (Nov. 11, 2018) -  Shooting incident transpired at Purok 7, Barangay Salaogan, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 9:00 AM November 10, 2018.

The victim was identified as Cosme Gonesto Y Cortez, 59 years old, married, fisherman and a resident of Purok 2, Barangay Salaogan, Dimataling.

The suspect identified as Elsmindie Gonesto Y Richa, male, 31 years old, married, farmer and a resident of Purok 7, Brgy. Salaogan, Dimataling.

Investigation conducted disclosed that prior to said incident, suspect and his uncle Rogelio Gonesto the older brother of the victim got a drinking session at the house of Isidora Gonesto (mother of the victim) at the afore-stated place while the victim was busy preparing foods for his breakfast at the kitchen of the said house, suspect (Elsmindie) was under the influence of liquor and repetitively persuading the victim to drink a serve of liquor but the victim keep on refusing to drink due to the fact that the victim has an eye injury and still on medication stage, moments later, suspect stood up and drew a handgun of undetermined caliber from his sling bag and suddenly shot the victim once.

After the incident suspect immediately ran towards eastern direction of the afore-stated place while victim sustained gunshot wounds on his lower abdomen (entrance wound) and exited on his lower back torso and immediately rushed to Margosatubig Regional Hospital, Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur for immediate medical attention and subsequently forwarded to Pagadian City Medical Hospital for further medical treatment.

That immediately the responding team of Dimataling MPS conducted hot pursuit operation against the fleeing suspect and eventually files appropriate charges. Motive of the incident believe to be personal grudge. 

Laborer Arrested for Estafa

BAYOG, Zamboanga del Sur (Nov.11, 2018) – The PNP elements of Titay MPS and Bayog MPS conducted joint manhunt operation at Barangay Bantal, Bayog, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 2:30PM of November 10, 2018.

The operation was resulted to the successful arrest of the suspect identified as Eduardo S Antolin, 52 years old, male, married, laborer and a resident of Barangay Poblacion, Titay, Zamboanga Sibugay.

The operating team arrested thew suspect by virtue of Warrant of Arrest dated October 2, 2017 for the crime of crime of Estafa under Criminal Case Number I-6713 issued by the Presiding Judge, RTC Branch 36 of 9th Judicial Region of Ipil municipality, Zamboanga Sibugay with Thirty Thousand Pesos (Php30,000.00) bail recommended.

Arrested person is now under the custody of Titay MPS for proper disposition.

Dead Body Found

PAGADIAN CITY (Nov. 12, 2018) - A Dead body was found at Purok Kahayag, Barangay Dumagoc, Pagadian City at about 8:20 AM of November 11, 2018.      

Initial investigation conducted by Pagadian CPS the cadaver was identified as Arjon Calma, 16 years old, male, and a resident of Purok Kahayag, Dumagoc, Pagadian City who has abrasions on his knees and laceration on his foot who was allegedly electrocution at and found at the sewage canal.  

The cadaver lies at Gamalinda Funeral Homes, Rizal Avenue, Brgy Tuburan, Pagadian City.

Drug Suspect Busted

MOLAVE, Zamboanga del Sur (Nov. 13, 2018) – The PNP personnel of Molave MPS and Zamboanga Del Sur-Provincial Drugs Enforcement Unit conducted a joint Drug buy-bust operation at about 6:00 PM of November 12, 2018 at Purok Mabini, Brgy. Maloloy-on, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Juanafer Sandoval Taray (under DI watch list/HVT), 36 years old, born on November 29, 1982, married, jobless, a resident of Purok Mabini, Barangay Maloloy-on Molave Zamboanga del Sur.

Confiscated from her possession were five pieces sachet of shabu and five (5) hundred pesos as marked money.

The arrested person is now under the custody of Molave MPS for proper disposition.

Most Wanted Person Captured in Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur

PAGADIAN CITY, Zambonga del Sur (Nov. 13, 2018) – The Combined elements of 902nd Company of RMFB9, Regional Intelligence Division 9 and Dimataling Municipal Police Station have arrested a wanted person during law enforcement operation Purok 3, San Roque, Dimataling Municipality, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 6:45 AM of November 12, 2018.

PCSUPT Emmanuel Luis D Licup, Regional Director of PRO9 identified the suspect as Arnold Berondo, 39 years old, married, farmer and a resident of afore-mentioned place.

The suspect was arrested for the crime of Frustrated Homicide docketed under Criminal Case #11241-2k13 of RTC 9 branch 19 Pagadian City issued by presiding judge Hon Romeo T Descallar dated July 25,2014.

Arrested person is now under the custody of Dimataling MPS for booking and will be turned-over to Pagadian City Police Station for proper disposition.

Suicide Incident

TUKURAN, Zamboanga del Sur (Nov. 11, 2018) - Suicide incident took place at Barangay Sugod, Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 7:00 AM of November 10, 2018.

The PNP personnel of Tukuran MPS proceeded to the Barangay Sugod, Tukuran, ZDS to verify the veracity of the said report.

Upon arrival at the location, the lifeless body of a certain Hernel Suan Burja, 32 years old, married, and a resident of Purok Bumbil, Barangay Sugod, Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur was discovered hanging by his neck with a bag strap as rope tied to the branch of a star apple tree.

A thorough investigation conducted disclosed that the victim had a simple quarrel with his wife Irene Bahala Burja, 32 years old, female in the evening of November 09, 2018 and during their quarrel, the victim exclaimed that he will kill himself.

The victim left at about 8:00 in the evening of that day, and never returned the entire night.

Meanwhile, at about 7:30 AM of November 10, 2018, his lifeless body was discovered hanging lifeless from the star apple tree near his house.

The said body was later removed by personnel of Tukuran MPS and was brought to the mortuary.

November 8-10, 2018 Reported Incidents in Zamboanga del Sur

Accomplishment Report on illegal Quarrying

KUMALARANG, Zamboanga del Sur (Nov. 9, 2018) – The PNP personnel of Kumalarang MPS conducted operation against illegal quarry at Sitio Kalamasan, Brgy, Gawil, Kumalarang, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 9:30 AM of November 8, 2018.

The operation was resulted to the seizure of One unit Hitachi EX 120-2, Backhoe with breaker ; two pcs Stationary Steel Screen and apprehension of its operator identified as Benjie Parantar Y Doremon, and seizure of One unit Mini Dump truck bearing plate No. 15453 and apprehension of its driver identified as Larry Salva Y Sunggahid, 43 years old, married and a resident of Brgy, Boyugan East, Kumalarang, Zamboanga Del Sur, both quarrying in the said area without any permit from the DENR.

Further, inventory of seized items was then conducted in the presence of apprehended suspects, Science Research Specialist II Engr. Ventrick Ceazar A. Albano of Mines and Geosciences Bureau (MGB) and invited elected officials Allan Damas, Municipal Vice-Mayor and Manuel Biaco, Municipal Councilor.

After which, copy of seizure receipt was furnished to the apprehended suspects and witnesses.

All seized items were properly turned-over to Science Research Specialist II Engr. Ventrick Ceazar A. Albano for proper disposition of the case. 

Suicide Incident

TAMBULIG, Zamboanga del Sur (Nov. 10, 2018) - Suicide incident transpired at Brgy Balugo, Tambulig, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 6:00 AM of November 9, 2018.

Upon receipt of said report, PNP element of Tambulig MPS immediately proceeded to the aforesaid place to verify veracity of the report.

Investigation conducted revealed that the victim identified as Danilo Hermoso y Albarasin, 57 years old, married, farmer by occupation and a resident of Purok-7, Brgy Balugo, Tambulig, committed suicide by hanging himself with the use of rope.

The incident transpired inside their nipa hut where the victim used to sleep alone by himself.

In addition, the victim’s wife identified as Mrs. Sabena L. Hermoso revealed that before the incident her husband already committed several attempts of suicide.

Rape Suspect Arrested

R. MAGSAYSAY, Zamboanga del Sur(Nov. 10, 2018) - PNP personnel of Ramon Magsaysay MPS and Kapatagan MPS, Lanao Del Norte conducted joint police operation on wanted person (Service of Arrest Warrant) at about 4:30 PM of November 09, 2018 at Purok 2, Brgy. Poblacion, Ramon Magsaysay Zamboanga Del Sur.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of the suspect identified as Reymond Briones, 30 years old, male, single, jobless and a resident of Purok 7, Barangay Lapinig, Kapatagan, Lanao Del Norte.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of two counts of Rape in relation to R.A. 7610, docketed in Criminal Case Nos. 21-4088 and 21-4089 issued on November 9, 2018 by Presiding Judge of RTC, 12th Judicial Region, Branch 21, Kapatagan, Lanao Del Norte with no bail bond recommended. The accused is now in the custody of Kapatagan MPS for proper disposition.

1 dead in Vehicular Traffic Accident

KUMALARANG, Zamboanga del Sur (Nov. 10, 2018) – One person was died in Vehicular traffic accident transpired hit and run transpired along national highway of Brgy, Picanan, Kumalarang, Zamboanga del Sur at about 03:30 AM of November 09, 2018. 

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that a Motor Vehicular Traffic accident transpired at Sitio Sulabot, Brgy, Picanan, Kumalarang,  Zamboanga del Sur.

The accident was involving Black Suzuki Gixer 150 bearing temporary plate no.090106, driven by Abdillaha Glang y Ahmad 56 years old, married, self-employed and a resident of Brgy, Salipyasin,Kabasalan, Zamboanga Sibugay, who have two back riders identified as Abdul azis Glang y Mangilin 7 years old, and Laila Mangilin 42 years old.

While traversing along national highway en route from Kabasalan, Zamboanga Sibugay bound for General Santos City but upon reaching at the above-mentioned place accidentally sideswipe by White Bongo who immediately left at the crime scene after the Single motor cycle was fell down and the driver and its passenger thrown beside the road thereat (as revealed by the of SMC driver).

As a result, the driver Abdillaha and back-rider Abdul Azis sustained fractured at his left leg and left shoulder who were later referred to Zamboanga City Hospital for proper medication while Laila sustained severe injuries at her left leg and other parts of her body.

Unfortunately, after few minutes was died at the abovementioned hospital as revealed by the attending physician.

2 Arrested in Law Enforcement Operation in Zamboanga Del Sur

MIDSALIP, Zamboanga del Sur (Nov. 9, 2018) – The Combined operatives of Midsalip MPS, Zamboanga Del Sur and Regional Special Operation Group of PRO9 conducted Intel driven operation against wanted person at Purok 2, Barangay, Matalang, Midsalip, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 6:00 AM of November 08, 2018.

The operation was resulted to the successful arrest of the two suspects identified as:

Eduardo Selim Y Soposo, 44 years old, resident of Purok 2, Barangay Matalang, Midsalip Zamboanga del Sur and

Alex Bonsalao Y Candao, listed as watch list for gun for hire in the municipality of Midsalip, male, 46 yrs. old, married, farmer and resident of Purok 1, Barangay Guitalos, Midsalip Zamboanga del Sur

The two accused was arrested by virtue of  warrant of arrest for the crime of Homicide docketed under criminal case No. 18-10,1546  with bail recommended (Php80,000.00 each issued by Presiding Judge of 9th Judicial Region Branch 30, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur dated Novemver 5, 2018.

The accused are now temporarily detained Midsalip MPS lock-up cell while for proper disposition.
