LABANGAN, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 14, 2019) - PNP personnel of Labangan Municipal Police Station conducted operation against wanted person at Purok Mangga 1, Brgy Lantian, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 5:00 PM of February 13, 2019.

The operation resulted to the arrest of Reynaldo Ledesma y Tingtingan, 59 years old, married and a resident of said place by virtue of warrant of arrest docketed under Criminal Case No 1730-L issued by Presiding Judge, 9TH Municipal Circuit Trial Court of Labangan-Tukuran, 9th Judicial Region, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur for the crime of Reckless Imprudence resulting in Serious Physical Injuries and Damage to Property with bail recommended for the temporary liberty fixed at Php 12,000.00.

The accused was temporarily detained at Labangan MPS for proper disposition.

Murder Suspect Cuffed

PITOGO, Zamboaga del Sur (Feb. 14, 2019) - Joint PNP personnel of Pitogo Municipal Police Station, Zamboanga Del Sur Police Office-Intel Branch and Magsaysay Municipal Police Station of Lanao Del Norte conducted Intel driven operation at Barangay Daan Campo, Magsaysay, Lanao Del Norte at about 6:15 AM of February 13, 2019.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Romelo Hilamon Y Balingit, aka Taloy Hilamon 25 years old, single, carpenter by occupation and a resident of aforesaid place by virtue of warrant of arrest docketed under Criminal Case Nr. 14-111 issued by Acting Presiding Judge Felix B. Rodriguez Jr. RTC 9th Judicial Region of San Miguel Zamboanga del Sur for the crime of Murder with No Bail recommended.

The arrested suspect was temporarily detain at Pitogo Municipal Police Station for proper disposition.

Murder Suspect Arrested

TUKURAN, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 14, 2019) - Police operatives of Tukuran Municipal Police Station conducted operation at Purok Bougainvilla, Barangay Curvada, Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 1:30 PM of February 13, 2019.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of George Gozalo Y Diaz, 54 years old, married, farmer and a resident of same place. The accused was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest docketed in Criminal Case number 14165-2K19 issued by Presiding Judge of RTC 9th Judicial Region, Branch 21, Pagadian City dated January 31, 2019 for the crime of Murder with no bail bond recommended.

He was temporarily detained at Tukuran MPS for proper disposition.

CAFGU Member Held for Attempted Homicide Charges

DUMINGAG, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 13, 2019) - Combined operatives of Dumingag Municipal Police Station and Zamboanga Del Sur Police Office-Intel Branch conducted operation at Barangay Upper Landing, Dumingag, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 10:30 AM of February 13, 2019.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Lorencio Ebarbia y Tamparong, 29 years of age, single, active member of 55th IB SCAA, residing at Prk5 Brgy. Guitran, Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur.

The accused was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest docketed under Case Number 5183-D issued by Presiding Judge, 11th MCTC Mahayag-Dumingag & Josefina, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur for the crime of Attempted Homicide with Thirty Six Thousand Pesos (Php36,000.00) bail recommended.

He was temporarily detain at Dumingag MPS for proper disposition.

Murder Suspect Arrested

LAPUYAN, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 14, 2019) - Joint PNP personnel of Lapuyan Municipal Police Station and Zamboanga Del Sur Police Provincial Office conducted checkpoint operation thru intelligence driven information (Service of Arrest Warrant) at Purok Datu, Barangay Poblacion, Lapuyan, Zamboanga Del Sur on February 14, 2019 at about 11:00 AM.

The successful checkpoint operation was resulted to the arrest of Liuterio Luminghat Sampayan, 44 years old, male, married, farmer, and resident of Purok Guinhuran Gbae, Barangay Poblacion, Lapuyan, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Murder, docketed under Criminal Case number 1372-L, dated 09 March 2001, issued by Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, Branch 29, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur with no bail bond recommended.

Subject person is now temporarily detained at Lapuyan MPS detention cell while awaiting the commitment order from the court.

Rape Suspect Captured

AURORA, Zambonaga del Sur (Feb. 15, 2019) - On February 14, 2019 at about 3:50 PM, joint PNP personnel of Bukidnon PPO, Valencia City Police Station, Panaon MPS, and Aurora MPS, Zambonaga del Sur conducted police operation (Service of Arrest Warrant) at Purok 6, Bagontaas, Valencia City, Bukidnon.

The operation waqs resulted to the arrest of Ruperto Lowaton Y Aguerre, 76 years old, married, Radio Commando Radio Station, and resident of Purok 6, Barangay Bagontaas, Valencia, Bukidnon.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of Rape, docketed under Criminal Case number 07-10, 521, dated 20 February 2008 issued by Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 30, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur with no bail bond recommended..

Subject person now temporarily detained at Valencia City Police Station Detention Cell and to be turn-over to PNP personnel of Aurora MPS for proper disposition.

February 11-13, 2019 –Reported Incident from the municipalities of Zamboanga del Sur

Violation of R.A. 10591 and COMELEC Gun Ban

PAGADIAN CITY (Feb. 13, 2019) - An apprehension in violation of R.A. 10591 and COMELEC Gun Ban Incident transpired at about 11:15 PM of February 12, 2019 along Rizal Avenue, beside PS Bank, Gatas District, Pagadian City.

Pagadian City Police Station received information that there was an alleged suspicious male person bringing firearms in the vicinity of Paclibar Boarding House as described by female boarders who feared of their safety.

Suspect was identified as Abdullah Yassen y Asaraji, 32 years old, male, Filipino, single, an alleged member of MNLF and a resident of Purok Avocado, Tuburan District, Pagadian City.

Initial investigation disclosed that the suspect was roaming around the vicinity of the Paclibar boarding house who was figured looking for his girlfriend by shouting to some boarders inside the house while brandishing a handgun.

The Intelligence operatives of Pagadian CPS rushed to the aforementioned place that upon arrival, they saw the reported suspect standing on an alley, besides PS Bank building, along Rizal Ave. leading to the Paclibar boarding house.

The team frisked the suspect and conducted search, checked his black sling bag and recovered One (1) unit Caliber 9mm pistol loaded with one (1) magazine containing seven (7) live ammunitions and four (4) live ammunitions without pertinent documents.

The suspect violated R.A. 10591 and COMELEC Gun Ban who was placed on arrest and now under custody of Pagadian CPS for proper disposition.

Female Arrested for Libel

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 12, 2019) - PNP personnel of Pagadian City Police Station conducted police operation (Service of Arrest Warrant) at Purok Aquino, Barangay Sto. Niño, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur on February 11, 2019 at about 4:35 PM.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Merlita Balido Aying, 36 years old (April 14, 1982), female, with live-in partner, and resident of Purok Aquino, Barangay Santo Niño, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of Libel under R.A. 10175 or Cybercrime Prevention Act, docketed under Criminal Case number 40388, dated 27 December 2018, issued by Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 12, Zamboanga City with bail bond recommended fixed at Seventy Two Thousand Pesos (Php72,000.00) for her temporary liberty.

Subject person was brought to Pagadian CPS for booking purposes and is now temporarily under the custody of Pagadian CPS.

Wanted Man Held

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 12, 2019) - PNP personnel of Pagadian City Police Station conducted police operation (Service of Arrest Warrant) at City Hall Complex, Gatas District, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur on February 11, 2019 at about 2:20 PM.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Zenan Consolacion Malabanan, 35 years old, male, married, and resident of Purok Esmeralda- A, Barangay San Jose, Pagadian City. 

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for Violation of Batas Pambansa Bilang (BP) 22, docketed under Criminal Case number 15-0896, dated 09 January 2019, issued by Presiding Judge, National Capital Judicial Region, Metropolitan Trial Court, Branch LXXXVII (87), Parañaque City with bail bond recommended fixed at Two Thousand Pesos (Php2,000.00) for his temporary liberty.

Subject person was brought to Pagadian CPS for booking purposes and is now temporarily under the custody of Pagadian CPS.

February 8-9, 2019 – Reported Incident from the municipalities of Zamboanga del Sur

Village Chairman killed in Shooting Incident

LABANGAN, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 8, 2019) – A village chairman was shot to death by the still unidentified assailant. shooting incident transpired at Barangay New Labangan, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur on February 8, 2019 at about 7:30 AM.

PCSUPT Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Regional Director identified the victim as Gavino Bacor Lacsado Jr., 52 years old married, Incumbent Barangay Chairman of San Isidro, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur.

He was found lying lifeless and sustained lone gunshot wound on his forehead when the responding PNP personnel of Labangan MPS arrived at the place of incident.

He was rushed by the responding PNP personnel of Labangan MPS to Aisah Hospital, Pagadian City but was pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician.

Investigation disclosed that victim was riding his single MC Honda FI beat, color white, bearing temporary plate number 0901-210790 traversing the above-mentioned place of incident going to his residence of same place.

Upon reaching Barangay New Labangan, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur, two (2) unidentified male motorcycle riding suspects (MRS) suddenly chased/followed the victim and without any apparent reason, the back rider shot the victim hitting on his forehead.

The suspects immediately fled towards the direction of Barangay Upper Pulacan of said municipality onboard on their getaway single MC XTZ Yamaha, color blue without plate number.

Evidence recovered by the personnel of Zamboanga Del Sur Crime Lab Office from the crime scene was two (2) fired cartridge case of caliber 45 pistols. PNP personnel of Labangan MPS conducted thorough investigation and follow up operation to possibly identify, locate and arrest the fleeing suspects.

Top 1 Most Wanted Person of Buug MPS, Captured

KUMALARANG, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 9, 2019) - Combined PNP elements of Buug MPS, Zamboanga Del Sur PPO-Intel Branch, 903rd Maneuvering Company of RMFB9 and Kumalarang MPS conducted manhunt operation Purok Malinawon, Poblacion, Kumalarang, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 10:30 AM of February 8, 2019.

The operation resulted to the arrest of Dhats A. Manguda, (listed Top 1 Most Wanted Person of Buug MPS) 38 years old, male, married, farmer, and a resident of Brgy Pulog, Buug, Zamboanga Sibugay. He was arrested for the crime of Murder issued by Acting Presiding Judge, RTC Branch 31, Imelda, Zamboanga Sibugay.

Meanwhile, during arrest the suspect resisted which prompted the Intel operative of 903rd Maneuvering Company of RMFB9, to shoot him hitting his right leg.

The suspect was brought to Kumalarang RHU for medication and now temporarily detained at Kumalarang MPS for proper disposition.

2 minors died in fire incident

DUMALINAO, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 9, 2019) – Two minors were died in fire incident transpired particularly at Purok Talaba, Barangay Camanga, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 5:05 PM of February 8, 2019.

Initial investigation conducted by Dumalinao MPS disclosed that the bunkhouse owned by Robinson Bobo Restojas, 52 years old, married, businessman and a resident of aforesaid place was razed by fire.

There were two minor victims who died during the incident, namely:

1.     three (3) years old girl, a resident of Purok Talaba, Barangay Camanga, Zamboanga Del Sur; and

2.     six (6) years old boy and a resident of Purok Melodia, Barangay Poblacion, Imelda, Zamboanga Sibugay.

The Investigator on-Case contacted Mr. Camelo Acojedo, Municipal Sanitary Inspector of Dumalinao to conduct post mortem examination upon the cadaver of the victims.

Further investigation revealed that there was a Close Circuit Television (CCTV) monitor installed in the area. Upon review of the footage, it was found out that the two victims entered the bunkhouse at around 4:40 in the afternoon of same date.

Fifteen (15) minutes later, Jucar Rustia Virrey father of one of the victims locked the door of the bunkhouse without noticing the children inside. Flame and heavy smoke engulfed the bunkhouse.

Moreover, a white Montero vehicle owned by Janeth Pamunag Restojas with temporary plate number 4085 parked adjacent of the bunkhouse incurred damages. The approximate amount of damages is still to be determined.

Wanted Person Cuffed

MAHAYAG, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 8, 2019) - PNP personnel of Mahayag Municipal Police conducted police operation (Service of Arrest Warrant) at P-2, Barangay Poblacion, Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur on February 8, 2019 at about 10:00 AM.

The successful operation was resulted to the arrest of Pablo Rivera Jr Y Nazara, 36 years old, married, carpenter by occupation, and resident of Purok 3, Barangay Lower Salug Daku, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of Act of Lasciviousness in relation to RA 7610, docketed under Criminal Case number 2013-10-2689, issued by Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, Branch 23, Molave, Zamboanga del Sur with bail bond recommended fixed at (Php80,000.00) for his temporary liberty.

Subject person is now temporarily detained at Mahayag MPS detention cell awaiting commitment order from the court.

2 Murder Suspects Arrested

DUMALINAO, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 7, 2019) - PNP Personnel of Dumalinao MPS and Zamboanga Del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company (ZDSPMFC) conducted joint police operation on wanted person at about 10:30 AM of February 6, 2019 at Purok Kalikasa and Purok Centro, Brgy Metokong, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Basilio But-ay Amodia, 55 y/o, married, farmer and a resident of Purok Centro and Lito But-ay Amodia, 44 y/o, married, farmer and a resident of Purok Kalikasa, Brgy. Metokong, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The suspect was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest docketed under Criminal Case Number 11321-2k14 for the crime of Murder issued by Presiding Judge of Branch 21, Regional Trial Court 9th Judicial Region, Pagadian City with no bail recommended.

The arrested subject persons are now under the custody of Dumalinao MPS for proper disposition.

Motor Vehicular Traffic Accident

DUMALINAO, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 7, 2019) - Motor vehicular traffic accident transpired at Purok Crossing, Barangay Mecolong, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur at about 7:00 PM of February 6, 2019,

The accident was involving one (1) tricycle Kawasaki Barako 125 with plate number JY 9019 and Cab number 0809 driven by Casimiro Tagra Ricabar Jr, 37 years old, married and a resident of Purok Panaghiusa Barangay Sumadat, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur with six (6) passengers on board.

Initial investigation conducted Dumalinao MPS that the said tricycle (motorcycle) traversing from Barangay Paglaum, Dumalinao, Zds bound to Barangay Matab-ang, Dumalinao, Zds, upon reaching the said place of incident the said tricycle lost its break that caused the driver loses control of the driven motorcycle accidentally fell down at nearby cliff that resulted the passengers incurred injuries to the different part of their bodies.

The passengers were identified as:

(1) Leah Briones Tadlas, 63 years old, widow, resident of Purok Gimelina, Barangay Paglaum, Dumalinao, Zds;

(2) Dona Villa Morales, 32 years old, married, a day care teacher, a resident of Purok Acasia, Barangay Sumadat, Dumalinao,

(3) A- 5 years old boy;

(4) 15 years old boy, Grade 8 student, a resident of Purok Buli, Barangay Pinig Libano; Dumalinao, Zds;

(5) a-13 years old girl, a resident of Barangay Sumadat, Dumalinao, Zds;

(6) Mary Jane Diez Ricabar, married, 28 years old, housewife, a resident of Purok Panaghiusa, Barangay Paglaum Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The six (6) passengers were immediately brought to Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center, Dao, Pagadian City for medical treatment.

The subject tricycle is now under custody of Dumalinao MPS for proper disposition.

Furthermore, PNP personnel of Dumalinao MPS proceeded to the hospital for follow up investigation and found out that one passenger Leah Briones Tadlas declared dead by the attending physician.

February 4-5, 2019 – Incidents Reports from the municipalities of Zamboanga del Sur

2 Gun for Hire Personalities Killed in Police Operation 

MOLAVE, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 6, 23019) – The Combined police operatives of Regional Intelligence Division 9, 902nd Maneuvering Company of RMFB 9 and Molave Municipal Police Station conducted a counter-strike and/or stop and frisk operation along the National Highway, Brgy. Culo, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 2:45 PM of February 4, 2019.

PCSUPT Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Regional Director said that the successful operation was resulted to the neutralization of two gun-for-hire personalities identified as:

Melvin Louie Pasok Bongabong alias Bobong and

Ernesto L. Briones.

The operation, after the duo when subjected to a stop and frisk by a number of police operatives drew their firearms and aims at the police operatives, thereby posing imminent danger/threat to the life of the said intelligence officers, thus compelling the police operatives to take some shots at the suspects.

The operation emanated upon receipt of a critical report that the above named suspects were about to perpetrate a crime and/or gun-for-hire hit at the above-stated vicinity.

Recovered from Melvin Louie Bongabong (back rider): one (1) unit Caliber .38 revolvers with several ammunitions. Recovered from Ernesto L. Briones were: one (1) unit Caliber .38 revolvers with several ammunitions and several identification cards.

Based on intelligence reports, the herein-named subjects are affiliated with Parojinog crime syndicate, particularly associated with the certain “Quiapo” (Ozamiz City Police Office High Value Target) heavily involved in robbery, carnapping, illegal drugs and contract killing (Gun-for-hire activities).

Stabbing Incident

AURORA, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 5, 2019) -  Stabbing incident transpired at Purok 1, Brgy. La Victoria, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 1:30 PM of February 4, 2019.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed the victim identified as Vivian Tubio Y Tibor, 52 years old, female, housewife, married and a resident of Purok 1, Brgy. La Victoria Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur had a conversation with her mother identified as Eleuteria Dioquino y Catane and her neighbor Gina Lozada at the waiting shed in front of her mother’s house, the suspect identified as Lucy Paciencia Y Tubio, 49 years old, female, housewife and also resident of the aforesaid place suddenly arrived and drew her small bolo wrapped with a jacket and attacked the victim but the victim able jumped out of the waiting shed.

However, the victim was trapped between the shed and the bamboo fence and she was stabbed by the suspect two (2) times hitting her stomach and buttocks. Luckily, the victim able to escape and entered the house of her mother;

Then after the incident, the suspect went to the National Highway and voluntarily surrendered to the Police Officers who happened to pass by the area to conduct mobile patrol and turned-over her small bolo used in the commission of the offense and the victim was brought to Aurora Community Emergency hospital located at Brgy. Cabilinan, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur.

Motive of the incident believed to be love triangle. Subsequently the suspect was brought to Aurora MPS for proper disposition.

Carnapper Arrested in Checkpoint

MOLAVE, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 6, 2019) – The Combined elements of Ipil MPS, Zamboanga Sibugay PPO, RMFB9, Molave MPS and Liloy MPS conducted Intel Driven Operation from Pagadian City to Municipality of Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur chasing the subject aboard a military type Jeep on February 5, 2019 at about 4:30pm.

The operating team informs the Molave MPS of the ongoing operation and immediately conducted random checkpoint along national road of Brgy Blancia, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Jaidamie Lizz Villaspin Tan, female, 36 years old, a resident of Purok 1, Fatima, Liloy, Zamboanga Del Norte.

The arrest was made by virtue of Warrant of Arrest dated January 19, 2019, docketed under Criminal Case Number I-7200 for Violation of R.A. 10883 (Carnaping) issued by Presiding Judge RTC branch 36, Ipil Zamboanga Sibugay, with recommended bail bond of three hundred thousand pesos (Php300,000.00).

Arrested person was brought to Molave MPS for documentation and proper disposition.

TAMBULIG, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 5, 2019) - Police Personnel of Mahayag Municipal Police Station and Tambulig Municipal Police Station conducted joint manhunt operation on Most Wanted Person at Purok 3, Brgy Tiparak, Tambulig, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 2:45 PM of February 04, 2019.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Roselito Aponi a.k.a Rosil, 34 Years old, married, jobless and a resident of Purok 3 Brgy, Salug Daku Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur.

He was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest docketed under Criminal Case # 2018-10-3592 issued by Presiding Judge of RTC 9th Judicial Region, Branch 23, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur for the crime of Rape with no bail bond recommended. ]]

Shooting Incident

DIMATALING, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 4, 2019) - Shooting incident transpired at Purok 10, Barangay Poblacion, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 11:10 AM, February 02, 2019.

PCSUPT Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Regional Director identified the two victims as:

Hamdi Tiblan Y Salud, 33 years old, married, seaweed farmer, one (1) Kamarudin Andi Y Andi, 24 years old, married, and

Nasrodin Andi Y Edang, 20 years old, single, seaweed farmer, all residents of Sitio Tuka, Barangay Poblacion, Dimataling, Zamboanga del Sur.

Investigation conducted disclosed that around 11:00 AM of same date, above-mentioned victims were onboard single MC Honda CB 110, color black traversing from Lapuyan Municipality going to their respective places of residence of said place.

Upon reaching at Purok 10, Barangay Poblacion, Dimataling, Zamboanga del Sur two (2) an unidentified male persons onboard single MC Honda XRM, color red which was running in an opposite direction with the victims, suddenly the back rider of suspects allegedly shot the victims once using M16 rifle.

As a result, the single MC driven by the victims crashed down and victims ran on foot while the suspect keep on following them and attempted to fire them but the firearm malfunctioned.

PNP personnel of Dimataling MPS conducted hot pursuit operation and thorough investigation to possibly identify, locate and arrest the fleeing suspects.

Evidences recovered from the crime scene are five (5) pieces live ammunitions of M16 rifle and now under the custody of Dimataling MPS.

RA 7942 (Theft of Minerals) Violator Held

Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 4, 2019) - PNP personnel of Pagadian City Police Station/ Deputized Agent of DENR, together with Provincial Mobile Force Company (ZSPMFC) conducted checkpoint operation at National Highway of Barangay Tiguma, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur on February 2, 2019 at about 11:30 AM.  

PCSUPT Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Regional Director said that the operation resulted to the arrest of suspect/driver one (1) Heracleo Arambala Bucog, 59 years old, male, married, and resident of Purok Alta Tierra, Barangay Napolan, Pagadian City, and seizure/confiscation of one (1) unit Isuzu Mini-Dump Truck, color blue, bearing plate number 090104, registered under the name of Rey Codilla, loaded with aggregates without pertinent documents.  

Subject person is now temporarily detained at Pagadian CPS detention cell, while appropriate case for violation of RA 7942 (Theft of Minerals) is now being prepared for filing in court.

Subject vehicle/dump truck with aggregates was turned over to DENR Balintawak for proper disposition.

2 Held for Illegal Quarrying

TAMBULIG, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 4, 2019) - Personnel of Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Officer (MENRO) led by Mr. Jurist Jose Jr. M Abanil, Menro Officer of Tambulig Municipality, together with personnel of Tambulig MPS led by PCI Ycer Noah S Aniversario, Officer In-Charge, conducted police operation against illegal quarrying at Barangay Calolot and Barangay Tungawan, Tambulig, Zamboanga del Sur on February 2, 2019 at about 9:00 AM.

PCSUPT Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Regional Director said that the operation was resulted to the arrest of the two suspects identified as:

Renan S Tamot, 27 years old, married, and resident of Barangay Calolot, Tambulig, Zamboanga del Sur and

Randy P Abraham, 29 years old, married, and resident of Barangay Tungawan, Tambulig, Zamboanga del Sur who were caught in the act of illegally quarrying at said place and resulted also to the seizure/confiscation of extracted grit/sand.

The arrested persons together with the confiscated grit were turned-over to Tambulig MENRO for proper disposition of the case.

Mauling Incident

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 4, 2019) - Mauling incident transpired at Aurilio Oceña Boarding House, located at Purok Nangka, Tuburan, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur at about: 11:50 PM of February 1, 2019.

PCSUPT Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Regional Director identified the victim as Precious May Armada, 20 years old, female, single, student, a resident of Purok Makugihon, Santo Niño, Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur.

Suspect was arrested and identified as Alhari Dumpa Macabago, 20 years old, male, single, student and a resident of Purok 13, Poblacion Buug, Zamboanga Sibugay.

Investigation conducted disclosed that the victim went to the Aurilio Oceña Boarding House, located at Purok Nangka, Tuburan, Pagadian City to comply the request of Alhari Macabago to be there purposely to talk him and with his girlfriend Laina Cuevas (ex-girlfriend of the victim who is currently girlfriend of the suspect).

That at the said boarding house the victim went immediately inside the room of Laina. Thereat, she saw Alhari the suspect of this case with Laina inside the room.

Then the suspect locked the door immediately and without any apparent reason using his superior strength as a man punched the victim’s head several times.

After the incident the suspect was successfully arrested by the responding Police Officers and brought to Pagadian City Police Station for proper disposition.

The victim already obtained her medical examination result issued to her by the attending Physician at Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center indicated with the healing period of 5-7 days.   

1 person died in Stabbing Incident

TAMBULIG, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 4, 2019) - On February 01, 2019 at about 8:30 PM, One person was died in stabbing incident transpired Purok Cardava, Barangay Tungawan, Tambulig, Zamboanga Del Sur.

PCSUPT Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Regional Director identified the victim as Jundel Dadul Banquil, 32 years old, resident of Purok Cardava, Barangay Tungawan, Tambulig, Zamboanga Del Sur.

He was stabbed by Carlito Esconde Estender, legal age, farmer, a resident of the same barangay.

The victim sustained stabbed wound in his right chest and immediately brought to the nearest hospital but declared dead on arrival by the physician (Dr. Roy Macamay).

Suspect was arrested by the responding PNP elements of Tambulig MPS and now under custody of Tambulig MPS for proper disposition.

Fisherman Held for Murder Charges

DUMALINAO, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 4, 2019) - On February 01, 2019 at about 4:15 AM, PNP Personnel of Dumalinao MPS and Zamboanga Del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company (ZDSPMFC) conducted joint police operation on wanted person at Purok Lapu-lapu, Barangay White Beach, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Roland Dalinding, 34 y/o, married, fisherman and a resident of Purok Centro, Barangay Metokong, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur by virtue of warrant of arrest under Criminal Case Number 11377-2k13 for the crime of Murder issued by Presiding Judge Dennis P. Vicoy of Branch 21, Regional Trial Court 9th Judicial Region, Pagadian City with no bail recommended.

The arrested person is now under the custody of Dumalinao MPS for proper disposition.       

Shooting Incident  

MAHAYAG, Zamboanga del Sur (Feb. 4, 2019) - Shooting incident transpired Purok 1, Barangay Daniel C. Mantos, Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur.

The victim identified as Bonifacio Geniares Imfiel, 36 years old, with live-in partner, jobless, a resident of Purok Mangga, Barangay Madasigon, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur, he was shot by unidentified suspect.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that victim was riding his single motorcycle XRM 125 color black/white combination coming from Barangay Lantawan, Sominot, Zamboanga del Sur heading to Molave, Zamboanga del Sur. 

Upon reaching at the aforesaid place of incident, two unidentified male personalities on board of unknown type of single motorcycle followed him from behind, then and there deliberately shot the victim several times with the used of caliber .45 pistol based on the recovered empty shells at the crime scene.

Victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds in the different parts of his body and was immediately brought to Salug Valley Medical Center, Molave, Zamboanga del Sur for his immediate medical attention.

However, the attending physician referred the said victim to MHARS Medical Center at Ozamis City, Misamis Occidental for further medical treatment.

The suspects fled immediately heading to Barangay San Jose, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur.

PNP elements of Mahayag MPS conducted pursuit and manhunt operations against the fleeing suspects but yielded negative result.

Recovered from the crime scene were (2) empty shells of caliber .45 pistol and to be submitted to Provincial Crime Laboratory Office for ballistic examination.

The single motorcycle of the victim is now under the custody of Mahayag MPS for proper disposition. Motive of the incident is yet to be determined.

More than 100 houses razed by Fire Incident

Pagadian City (Feb. 4, 2019) – More than 100 houses were razed by Fire incident transpired at Purok Bakhaw B, Barangay Kawit, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 9:00 AM of February 03, 2019.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that fire originated from the house owned by Certain Neneng Dupio wherein accordingly the latter cook a fried banana where she left the frying pan unattended with boiling oil.

As the pan burst into fire it engulfed the house made of light materials. The fire spread to the neighboring houses.

Upon arrival by the responding Bureau of Fire Personnel, the above-mentioned house was already raze to the ground scattered to the adjacent houses that resulted to the burning of more or less One Hundred (100) household owners/residents (fire victims) as the area was of informal settlers.

PNP personnel of Pagadian City Police Station facilitated the traffic direction and control and prevented possible looters while the personnel of Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) extinguished the fire and process the crime scene.

The BFP declared the fire control at about 10:30 in the morning and fire out at about 12:03 in the afternoon of same date.

The bureau is now conducting in-depth investigation regarding the incident while estimated total damage cost is more or less of One Million Pesos (₱1,000,000.00) with no persons physically injured.

Officials of the Barangay Kawit are now consolidating the number of families affected.

Dead Body Found

TUKURAN, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 4, 2019) - A dead body was found along the riverbank of Purok 4, Brgy Navalan, Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 9:30 AM of February 3, 2019.

Upon receipt of the report PNP personnel of Tukuran MPS immediately proceeded to the area.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that at about 9:30 o’clock in the morning February 3, 2019, a tanod of Brgy. Navalan, Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur found a dead body of the above-mentioned place, and was identified later as Victor Miñoza, of legal age, a rice duck caretaker, with live-in partner and a resident of Brgy., Buloran, Midsalip, Zamboanga del Sur who sustained 3 fatal wounds allegedly through the use of firearm.

Man Held in Aurora for Violation of R.A 10591 and Violation of Omnibus Election Code on COMELEC Gun Ban

AURORA, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 4, 2019) - PNP team of Aurora MPS conducted mobile roving patrol at Purok Dongallo Barangay Kahayagan West, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur at about, 3:00 o’clock in the morning of February 3, 2019.

During the mobile patrol, One Rhea Sheen Arvelo y Baldicantos a resident of Purok Baldicantos, Barangay Kahayagan West, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur personally informed the PNP team that there was a riot transpired at National Hi-way, Purok Dongallo, Barangay Kahayagan West, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed, that at about 2:55 AM of same date, the suspect identified as one Reyuel Vercede y Entero, 44 years old, single, farmer by occupation, a resident of Purok Dongallo, Barangay Kahayagan, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur, which under the influence of intoxicating liquor having an argument with the some bystander who attending the disco party in celebration of Araw ng Kahayagan 2019 of the said barangay.

That during confrontation, between the suspect and the responding police officer, the suspect eludes the arrest and run. PNP elements of Aurora MPS able to chased and arrested the suspect.

Confiscated from his possession and control fro the suspect one (1) pistol caliber 357, Smith and Wesson revolver without serial number, and loaded with six (6) rounds of live ammunition.

The arrested suspect is now under custody of Aurora MPS for proper disposition.
