1 person killed in Shooting Incident

PAGADIAN CITY – One prson was killed in Shooting incident transpired in front of J. Cabahug Hospital along Rizal Avenue corner Roxas Street, San Pedro District, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur at about 8:10 AM of June 13, 2019.  

Police Brigadier Gen. Froilan F Quidilla, PRO9 Director identified the victim as Samer Nian Maguindanaon Esmael, 39 years old, male, married, farmer, and a resident of Bulanit, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur. (Cousin of Vice Mayor-elect Matt Nian of Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur.

Suspects were two (2) unidentified male persons riding in a motorcycle.

Initial investigation disclosed that the victim was on board in a tricycle with two other passengers when it stops in front of Cabahug Hospital for the other two passengers to dismount.

At that juncture, suspects onboard Mio motorcycle approached the victim and without any words shot the victim three (3) times. He tumbles into the pavement sustaining three (3) fatal gunshot wounds in different parts of his body.

Intel and Detective personnel of Pagadian City Police Station are in pursuit of fleeing suspects.

SOCO personnel arrived at about 08:40 AM of June 13, 2019 and conducted crime scene processing procedure.

The duty Doctor of J. Cabahug Hospital in person of Dr. Liz Corazon Cabahug-Parangan, M.D. responded at the crime scene for possible immediate treatment but it was declared dead on the spot.

The victim sustained Two (2) gunshot wounds in front of his chest, and one (1) gunshot wound at the back of his chest, and one (1) gunshot graze at his left face.

The SOCO Team turned-over the crime scene to the Investigator on case at around 9:50 AM of same date.

The cadaver of the victim was brought by his immediate family to Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur on board on Ambulance vehicle.

Pagadian City Police Station is still continuing its investigation as to the circumstances of the incident to determine the real respondents of this case. Motive of incident is yet to be determined.

Man Held for the Crime Of Attempted Murder

V. SAGUN, Zamboanga del Sur - Operatives of Vincenzo Sagun Municipal Police Station conducted manhunt operation (Service of Warrant) at Purok Mangga, Barangay Linoguayan, Vincenzo Sagun, Zamboanga del Sur at about 6:00 PM June 13, 2019.

Police Brigadier Gen. Froilan F Quidilla, PRO9 Director  said the operation resulted in the arrest of Florencio Bustamante Y Albaracin, 46 years old, married, farmer and a resident of Purok Mangga, Barangay Linoguayan, Vincenzo Sagun, Zamboanga del Sur.

He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Presiding Judge of RTC, Ninth Judicial Region, Branch 29, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur for the crime of Attempted Murder docketed under Criminal Case Number 19-075 dated June 4, 2019, with bail bond recommended amounting to Php 120,000.00.

The arrested person is now in custody of Vincenzo Sagun MPS for proper disposition.

Murder Suspect Arrested

R. MAGSAYSAY, Zamboanga del Sur - Combined operatives of Ramon Magsaysay Municipal Police Station, Molave Municipal Police Station and General Santos City Police Station 4 conducted manhunt operation (Service of Warrant) at Purok 2, Barangay Esperanza, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 8:30 AM of June 13, 2019.

Police Brigadier Gen. Froilan F Quidilla, PRO9 Director said the operation resulted in the arrest of Junjie Somugue Dumoloy alias Jungie, 48 years old, married, with address of Prk 8, Brgy Ambago, Butuan City and Purok 2, Barangay Esperanza, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga Del Sur.

He was arrested for the crime of Murder under Criminal Case No. 2019-10-3678 signed and issued by Executive Presiding Judge, Branch 23, 9th Judicial Region, Zamboanga Del Sur dated April 26, 2019 with no bail recommended.

The arrested person is now in custody of Ramon Magsaysay MPS for proper disposition.

Businessman Nabbed for the Crime of Frustrated Murder

PAGADIAN CITY - Police operatives of Pagadian City Police Station conducted manhunt operation at Purok Saging 1, Barangay Datagan, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur at about 11:00 AM of June 13, 2019.

Police Brigadier Gen. Froilan F Quidilla, PRO9 Director said the operation resulted in the arrest of Elejune Binondo Y Dayondon Aka Dodong, 32 years old (April 8, 1987) male, with live-in partner, businessman, Filipino and a resident of Purok Saging 1, Datagan, Pagadian City.

He was arrested by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Frustrated Murder with criminal case number 11263, issued by Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 21, Pagadian City dated January 15, 2014 with bail recommended of Two Hundred Thousand Pesos only (Php 200,000.00).

The arrested person is now in custody of Pagadian City Police Station for proper disposition.

June 09, 2019 – Reported Incidents in Zamboanga del Sur

Wanted Man Arrested

SAN MEGUIL, Zamboanga del Sur - Operatives of San Miguel Municipal Police Station together with Jasaan Municipal Police Station, Misamis Oriental PPO, PRO10 conducted police operation (Service of Arrest Warrant) at Purok II, Barangay Lantawan, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur at about 6:30 PM of June 9, 2019.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Jerry Andea Y Quinimon, 24 years old, single, and a resident of Purok II, Barangay Lantawan, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for Violation of Sec 5, Art. III, RA 7610, docketed under Criminal Case No R-CDO 19-01228 CR, dated 16 April 2019, issued by Presiding Judge, RTC, Misamis Oriental, Branch 37, Cagayan de Oro City with bail bond fixed at (Php200,000.00).

Subject person is now temporarily detained at San Miguel MPS Detention cell while waiting for commitment order from the court.

Murder Suspect Arrested

PAGADIAN CITY - Police operatives of Pagadian City Police Station conducted police operation (Service of Arrest Warrant) at Purok Hini-usa, Lumbia District, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur at about at about 6:00 PM of June 9, 2019.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Romeo Jr Ybañez Y Amantiad, 34 years old (January 29, 1984) male, single, jobless, and a resident of Purok Hini-usa, Lumbia District, Pagadian City.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Attempted Murder, docketed under Criminal Case number 14225-2K19, issued on February 15, 2019 by Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 18, Pagadian City with bail bond recommended fixed at One Hundred Twenty Thousand Pesos (Php 120,000.00).

He is now temporarily detained at Pagadian City Police Station detention cell while waiting for commitment order from the court;

June 4-6, 2019 – Reported Incident in Zamboanga del Sur

Murder Suspect Arrested

PAGADIAN CITY - Operatives of Pagadian City Police conducted manhunt operation at City Hall Complex, Gatas District, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur at about 1:00 PM, June 4, 2019.

The successful operation was resulted to the arrest of Michael Dela Cruz Y Ramos, 44 years old, male, married, hollow block maker, Filipino and a resident of Barangay San Agustin, Polomolok, South Cotabato by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Murder with criminal case number 1450 issued on April 12, 2004 by Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, 11th Judicial Region, Branch 39, Polomolok, South Cotabato with no bail recommended.

The arrested person is now in custody of Pagadian City Police Station for proper disposition.

2 Person wounded in Shooting Incident

PAGADIAN CITY - Shooting incident transpired at Laja Building, Ariosa Street corner Pulmones Street, Purok Tulingan, Santiago District, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 11:55 PM of June 4, 2019.

The victim was identified as Amir Mohammad Y Ali, 25 years old, male, single, carenderia dishwasher, a resident of Purok Uno, Poblacion, Kumalarang, Zamboanga del Sur and Radzmer Alawi, 25 years old, male, single, laborer, Filipino temporarily residing at Laja Building, Santiago District, Pagadian City with permanent address at Municipality of Alicia, Zamboanga Sibugay.

Investigation disclosed that the victims were sitting outside Laja Building when two (2) unidentified male person arrived on board an unknown type of single motorcycle, wherein the back rider/gunman who was wearing T-shirt color gray printed with human face/head design in front and short pants alighted from the motorcycle and come nearer to them in a distance more or less three (3) meters away and allegedly the gunman asked in a Visayan dialect to quote “Naka kita mog naay gikulata diri”.

Thereat, the gunman suddenly drew his short firearm tucked on his waist and fired unto the victims and hurriedly boarded back to said single motorcycle and fled going to city proper.

Recovered from the crime scene were three (3) fired cartridge and one (1) fired bullet from an alleged .45 caliber pistol.  

Amir Mohammad Y Ali sustained one (1) gunshot wound on his right leg and Radzmer Alawi sustained two (2) gunshot wounds; one (1) gunshot wound on his left part of the face and one (1) gunshot wound at the left portion of the back of his neck and were then rushed to Aisah Hospital, San Pedro District, Pagadian City for medical treatment.

Pagadian City Police Station is now conducting follow up investigation for the possible identification and arrest of the fleeing suspects.

Arrest of Wanted Person

RAMON MAGSAYSAY, Zamboanga del Sur - Police operatives of Ramon Magsaysay Municipal Police Station conducted police operation (Service of Arrest Warrant) at Purok 6, Barangay Poblacion, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga del Sur at about 5:00 PM, June 6, 2019.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Cherryl Tapayan Y Sarong, 40 years old, male, married, Barangay Chairman of Brgy. Katipunan, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga del Sur.

He was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of three (3) counts of Slight Physical Injuries and one (1) count of Less Serious Physical Injuries, docketed in Criminal Case Nos. 19-10,1608; 19-10, 1609; 19-10,1610; and 19-10,1611 respectively, all dated May 27, 2019 issued by Presiding Judge, RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 30, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur with a total recommended bail bond amounting to Php200,000.00.

He is now temporarily detained at Ramon Magsaysay MPS detention cell while waiting for commitment order from the court.

June 1-2, 2019 Reportred Incident in Zamboanga del Sur

Couple victim in shooting

DINAS. Zamboanga del Sur - Husband was killed, wife wounded after they were shot by unidentified perpetrator at Purok Mangga, Barangay Nangka, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 4:30 AM of June 2, 2019.  

The victims were identified as Jonathan Malingtang Alangcas (Dead on the Spot), 31 years old, married, businessman,  and his wife Jenevy Morales Alangcas (Injured), 31 years old, married, both residents of Purok 1, Brgy. Catigilian, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur.

Investigation disclosed that the victims were traversing from National Highway from Municipality of San Miguel bound to Municipality of Pitogo on board their tricycle (Payong-Payong) a plate number of 090110 purposely to buy a fish for their business.

However, upon reaching Purok Mangga, Barangay Nangka, Dinas, they were waylaid by unidentified suspect/s and deliberately shot four times hitting Jonathan Malingtang twice at his stomach and twice at his chest causing of his untimely death while his wife (Jenevy) was hit at her right arm and immediately brought to Chavez Clinic, Dinas, Zamboanga del Sur for medical attention. The suspect then fled to unknown direction.

Jessie Yanson Y Dinapo (Injured), 28 years old, single, Jobless and resident of Purok Masanagon, Poblacion, Malangas, Zamboanga Sibugay.

1 Person survived in shooting incident

TIGBAO, Zamboanga del Sur – One person survived in shooting incident transpired at Purok 7, Barangay Lacupayan Tigbao Zamboanga del Sur at about of 12:45 AM of June 2, 2019.

Yjr noctim identified as Jessie Yanson Y Dinapo sustained multiple gunshot wounds on his right shoulder of undetermined caliber after his apparent companion shot him

He was brought to Zamboanga del Sur Medical Center, Dao, Pagadian City for medical treatment.

Investigation conducted disclosed that victim was riding a single motorcycle (Rouser Kawasaki 135), color red black combination with plate number JA 45185 from municipality of Buug, Zamboanga Sibugay going to the municipality Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur with a companion identified as certain Joey Dragon who was also riding other single motorcycle (XRM 125) color black with no plate number and upon reaching of Purok 7, Barangay Lacupayan, Tigbao, Zamboanga del Sur the suspect shot the victim.

The companion of the victim identified a certain Joey Dragon inched his way closer to the victim and allegedly shot the victim several times. As a result, the victim stumbled down along the road.

Victim also noticed also that there was other vehicle pick up behind him allegedly serve as a backup who were also shooting unto him.

Meanwhile, victim exerted effort to evade the suspect by running towards the nearby house located at the above-mentioned place and seek for assistance.

According to the victim, one of the suspects alighted from a pick-up vehicle and took the driven single motorcycle of the victim and fled immediately going to Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur.

Police Brigadier General Froilan F Quidilla, PRO9 Acting Director has ordered the Zamboanga City Police and Zamboanga del Sur Police to conduct manhunt operation against those perpetrators and deeper investigation to the unmask the identity of the perpetrators and the motive of the incidents.  

Murder Suspect Cuffed in Zambo Sur

DINAS, Zamboanga del Sur  - Police operatives of 902nd Maneuver Company of RMFB9, Regional Intelligence Division 9 and Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Intel Branch in coordination with Dinas Municipal Police Station conducted police operation (service of arrest warrant) at Purok Agal-agal, Brgy. Lucoban, Dinas, Zamboanga del Sur at about 2:10 AM, June 1, 2019.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Macmod Ismael Malaco, 50 years old, fisherman, and a resident of Purok Agal-agal, Brgy. Lucoban, Dinas Zamboanga del Sur.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of Murder, docketed under Criminal Case No. 96-091, dated 10 March 1997, issued by Presiding Judge, RTC, Branch 29, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur with no bail bond recommended.

He is now temporarily detained at Dinas Municipal Police Station detention cell while waiting for commitment order from the court.
