REPORTED INCIDENT - May 1, 2017

Recovery of Unexploded ordnance

TUKURAN - Unexploded ordnance was discovered by Hon. Elsie Moga Barangay Kagawad at Purok 1, Barangay Upper Bayao, Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 1:45 PM of April 30, 2017. The Zamboanga Del Sur Explosive Ordnance and Detection (EOD) team led by Po3 Renie Dagupan arrived and conducted inspection and later identified the unexploded ordnance as projectile of 57mm anti-tank. The recovered unexploded projectile was turned-over to Zamboanga Del Sur EOD for proper disposition. 

REPORTED INCIDENT - April 29, 2017

Shooting Incident

PAGADIAN CITY - Shooting incident transpired at Purok Cabinga-An, Barangay San Pedro, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 9:00 PM of April 28, 2017, wherein the victims were immediately brought at Aisah Medical Hospital, Barangay San Pedro, Pagadian City for treatment. victims were identified as Caloy Tanta Andal, 37 years old, single and jocong Said Alpha, 41 years old, single all residents of Purok Cabinga-An, Barangay San Pedro, Pagadian City. Caloy Tanta Andal sustained gunshot wounds on his right hand and left foot while Jocong Said Alpha sustained wound on his head. Initial investigation disclosed that on or about 8:45 PM of the same date, the victims were on board on a motorcycle arrived at the above-mentioned place when unidentified person shot them several times. Recovered at the crime scene were two (2) pieces fired cartridge case of caliber .45 pistols. Motive of the incident is still undetermined.

Fire Incident

GUIPOS - Fire incident has transpired at Purok 2, Barangay Poblacion, Guipos, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 12:01 AM of April 29, 2017, wherein the house owned by the former mayor Roberto Ramas a resident of Guipos, Zamboanga Del Sur was razed. Estimated damaged is more or less five hundred thousand (₱500,000.00) pesos. At about 1:00 am of the same date, fire out was declared by the responding BFP of Pagadian City. Investigation continues.

Implementation of Search Warrant against Motingting Tinggalong and othersl

LABANGAN - Joint police operation was conducted by CIDG, Labangan MPS, Provincial Public Safety Company, RPSB and Regional Intelligence Unit 9 implemented the above search warrants at Purok Pag-Asa, Barangay Combo, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 4:15 AM of April 28, 2017 and confiscated/seized the following  items: search warrant number 13-2k17 for illegal possession of firearms and ammunitions against Ibrahim Salik Abo, as target number 1 resulted to negative, search warrant number 14-2k17 for illegal possession of firearms and ammunitions against motingting singgon tinggalong as target number 2 resulted negative. search warrant number 15-2k17 for illegal possession of firearms and ammunitions against Musa Manaldas Jioma, as  target number 3 was arrested and confiscated from his possession were: one (1) unit m-16 rifle colt caliber 5.56mm with defaced serial number with one (1) magazine inserted loaded with twenty (20) rounds of ammunitions for caliber 5.56mm, three (3) pieces long magazine assembly for m-16 rifle cal. 5.56mm, five (5) pieces magazine assembly for m-16 rifle cal. 5.56mm, eighty (80) rounds of ammunitions of caliber 5.56 mm for m-16 rifle, one (1) bandolier color fatigue with camouflage. During the implementation and confiscation of pieces of evidence, the suspect failed to present pertinent documents to possess firearm/s and ammunitions. Return of search warrant and documentation was undertaken in support for inquest proceeding in filing of case for violation of RA 10591. 

Car Napping Incident

MOLAVE - A car napping incident occurred at Kamagong Street Corner Yangco Street, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 5:00 PM of April 28, 2017. The victim was identified as Deoclesia Hamadiong Lingatong, 59 years old, married, a public school teacher and a resident of Kamagong Street, Barangay Makuguihon, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur reported that her motorcycle Yamaha Mio sporty bearing plate number 90272js was forcibly taken by unidentified person armed with a firearm. Initial investigation disclosed that while she was on her way home and upon reaching along Kamagong Street Corner Yangco Street, Zamboanga Del Sur when unidentified person appeared and at gun point forcibly took her motorcycle and fled to unknown direction. Molave MPS is still conducting follow-up investigation for the possible identity and arrest of the suspect.

Arrest of Wanted Person

MOLAVE - Operatives of Molave MPS conducted manhunt operation at Rizal Avenue, Barangay Madasigon, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 10:15 AM of April 28, 2017. This resulted in the arrest of Susana A Olita, 51 years old, widow, a resident of the above-mentioned place. He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of estafa in two (2) counts docketed under criminal case number 2017-10-3364 and 2017-10-3365, issued by Hon. Jaime B. Caberte, Presiding Judge of Branch 23, RTC 9th Judicial Region, Molave, Zamboang Del Sur with recommended bail-bond of forty thousand (₱40,000.00) pesos for her temporary liberty. The accused is temporarily detained at Molave MPS for proper disposition.

Arrest of Wanted Person

SAN MIGUEL - Operatives of San Miguel MPS conducted manhunt operation on wanted person at Purok Quirino, Barangay Poblacion, San Miguel, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 10:00 AM of April 28, 2017. The operation resulted in the arrest of Mauro Suico Peñonal Jr., 55 years old, married a resident of Purok Acacia, Barangay Bulawan, San Miguel, Zamboanga Del Sur. He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of attempted homicide, issued by Hon. Teresa R Pangilinan, Presiding Judge Of 6th Municipal Circuit Trial Court, San Miguel, Zamboanga Del Sur docketed under criminal case number 1626-sm dated February 4, 2013, with recommended bail-bond of twenty four thousand (₱24,000.00) pesos. He is temporarily detained at San Miguel MPS for proper disposition.

Vehicular Accident

DUMALINAO - Vehicular accident transpired along the National Highway Of Purok Talaba, Camanga, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 11:40 AM of April 27, 2017, involving one (1) silver gray Hilux with plate number ad06554, driven and owned by Antonio Arcayan Calzada, 61 years old, married, businessman and a resident of Purok Rizal National Highway, Poblacion Diplahan, Zambo Sibugay with professional driver’s license. Upon receipt of the report, PNP elements of Dumalinao MPS immediately responded and proceeded to the aforementioned place of accident. Initial investigation conducted disclosed that while traversing from Diplahan, Zambo Sibugay Bound to Pagadian City, upon reaching at Purok. Talaba, Camanga, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur, the driver of the said vehicle failed to manage his driven vehicle due to malfunction of its brake. As a result, said vehicle bumped at the barricade of 5th IB detachment, Bravo Company that caused both damages to the vehicle involved and said barricade. Vehicle involved was then brought to Dumalinao MPS for proper disposition.

Vehicular Accident

TIGBAO - Vehicular accident transpired along the National Highway Of Purok Makugihon, Barangay Begong, Tigbao, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 10:20 AM of April 27, 2017, involving one (1) unit Isuzu  sportivo color ask beige metallic with plate number wqp 790 driven by Berhamin Jammang Jamasali, 46 years old, single, driver/safety officer under  Majda Construction and  development  with postal address at 183 Sta. Barbara, Zamboanga City and  equipped with professional driver’s license with one (1) companion on board Randy Kuntong Misil,  33 years old, married, construction materials canvasser of same company mentioned above with postal address at Binarao Shop, Sta. Catalina Zamboanga City. Initial investigation conducted thereat disclosed that said vehicle was traveling from Zamboanga City bound for Davao City and upon reaching at Purok Makugihon, Barangay Begong, Tigbao Zamboanga Del Sur, according to the driver he saw one vehicle from the opposite direction overtook the other one vehicle passing at the wrong lane towards his lane that prompted him to apply the brake of his driven vehicle but unfortunately the front right tire of said vehicle exploded. The driver lost control of his driven vehicle and was not able to manage the same and swerved to opposite lane then fell down to the left shouldering of the road. as a result, said vehicle incurred major damages while both driver and passenger sustained minor injuries to the different parts of their body were then brought to Tigbao Rural Health Clinic for immediate treatment while the damaged vehicle was left at said place of accident due to the major damages incurred.

REPORTED INCIDENT - April 26, 2017

Shooting Incident

PAGADIAN CITY - Shooting incident occurred at Barangay Gubang, Pagadian City at about 6:30 PM of April 25, 2017. The victim was identified as Bonifacio Bergado Irog-Irog, 62 years old, male, married and resident of Purok Centro, Barangay Gubang, Pagadian City. He sustained gunshot wound on the back portion of his body. Investigation conducted disclosed that based on the statement of his grandson/witness identified as Saldua Irog-Irog, male, 14 years old and resident of same place, disclosed that on 6:30 PM of same date, his grandfather/victim was riding a horse from his farmland going to his home of the above-mentioned place. when victim reached at the spill way of Purok Magallanes, Barangay Gubang, were two (2) unidentified suspects armed with undetermined caliber of firearm called the attention of the victim by saying in bisayan dialect, to quote “pre” and suddenly two (2) gun burst was heard by his grandson, who at that time walking near/ adjacent to the place where the incident happened. As a result, victim fell down on the ground and suspects fled immediately towards unknown direction after the incident, while the witness/grandson ran away and asked assistance from his neighbors. Victim sustained gunshot wound on the back portion of his body and was rushed to the above-mentioned hospital for medical treatment. PNP personnel of Pagadian CPS conducted thorough investigation and follow-up operation to possibly identify, locate and arrest the suspects. Motive of the incident is yet to be determined. Vehicular Traffic Accident

DUMALINAO - Vehicular traffic accident transpired at National Highway of Purok Maabtikon, Barangay Pag-Laum, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 7:22 AM of April 25, 2017 wherein single mc Suzuki raider, color blue, no plate number and driven by Wellier Paner Coming, 24 years old, single, student and resident of Purok Rose, Vincenzu Sagun, Zamboanga Del Sur accidentally bumped a pedestrian identified as Jose Sajol Otos, 66 years old, married, farmer and resident of Pitogo, Zamboanga Del Sur. Investigation conducted disclosed that said single mc was traversing from Vencinzu Sagun Municipality bound to Pagadian City and upon reaching at national highway of Purok Maabtikon, Barangay Pag-Laum, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur accidentally bumped a pedestrian, when he suddenly crossed the road unnoticed the incoming single mc. as a result, the pedestrian and driver of single mc sustained physical injury on the different parts of their bodies and were rushed to Dumalinao Municipal Health Center for medical treatment. The motorcycle was brought to Dumalinao MPS for proper disposition.

DUMALINAO - Vehicular traffic accident transpired at National Highway Of Purok Malinawon- A, Barangay Paglaum, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 10:20 am on april 25, 2017wherein dump truck, bearing plate number wba 201, loaded with five (5) cubic gravel, driven by juanito dag-oman mayonado, 24 years old, married and resident of Barangay Sikade, Kumalarang, Zamboanga Del Sur boarded with his son Juanito Tinhidon Mayonado Jr., resident of same place and Mazda bongo, red color, bearing plate number 120101, owned and driven by enrique manghay angas, 61 years old and resident of Purok Mani, Brgy. Sebucao, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur. Investigation conducted disclosed that the dump truck was traversing from Kumalarang Municipality bound to Dumalinao of this province and upon reaching at the descending road of Brgy. Camanga, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur accidentally loose it’s control over his driven vehicle due to mechanical problem and bumped into the made bongo which was running ahead in same direction. As a result, the dump truck swerved in the other lane and turn-turtle and the driver of dump truck and son passenger sustained injuries on the different parts of their bodies and were rushed to Dumalinao Health Center for medical treatment. Fortunately, the driver of Mazda bongo was not injured and both vehicles incurred damages..

SAN PABLO - Operatives of San Pablo MPS conducted police operation (service of arrest warrant) at Purok Palayan, Barangay Payag, San Pablo, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 7:00 AM on April 25, 2017. the operation resulted to the arrest of Mary Joy Binigay Suson, 21 years old, married and resident of Purok Palayan, Barangay Payag, San Pablo, Zamboanga Del Sur. He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Hon. Dorothy P Montejo-Gonzaga, Assisting Presiding Judge, 11th Judicial Region, Regional Trial Court, Branch 3, Nabunturan, Compostela Valley for the crime of qualified theft, docketed under cc# 7967, with bail bond recommended amounted to (Php 40,000.00).  Arrested subject person is presently detained at San Pablo MPS awaiting court disposition.

REPORTED INCIDENT - April 25, 2017

Shooting Incident

TABINA - Shooting incident occurred at New Oroquieta, Tabina Zamboanga Del Sur at about 3:30 PM of April 24, 2017. The victim was identified as Ermelo Amoc Sumagang, 40 years old, married, a resident of Purok Dalaman, Barangay Doña Josefina, Tabina Zamboanga Del Sur. He was allegedly shot by unidentified person. accordingly, while he visited coconut farm owned by Noel Baloyos At Donsolao Located At New Oroquieta, Tabina Zamboanga Del Sur, purposely to survey the banana fruits thereat, unidentified person wearing black t-shirt and maong pants shot him three (3) times in which the first and second squeeze failed to burst, but the third burst slightly hit on his right thigh. Subject further added that the gunman immediately fled towards unknown direction after the incident; while he also ran abruptly to tabina rural health center for immediate medication. Elements of Tabina MPS are still conducting further investigation for the possible identification and arrest of the suspect. Motive of the incident is still to be determined. Progress Report on Shooting Incident

SAN MIGUEL - Please be informed that on April 22, 2017 at about 10:30 PM, Hon. Rico A. Dumagal, ABC president of San Miguel Municipality Personally appeared at San Miguel MPS and reported that a shooting incident has transpired at Barangay Dumalian, San Miguel, Zamboanga Del Sur. The place of incident has an estimated distance of twelve (12) kilometers from police station and located at the remote area of this municipality. That the road condition was rough and muddy and not accessible by any means of land transportation during the time due to heavy rain. The crime scene post a threat for it is local communist movement (LCM) infested area. The mps coordinated with 1lt Justine Michael C Rabino, co, Bravo Coy, 53rd IB PA to proceed to the place of incident but the later advised to coordinate with Sgt Nasser, Team Leader of AFP/CAFGU detachment of Barangay Dumalian and likewise advised to go by morning on the following day april 23, 2017 for security of the responding government troops. On April 23, 2017 at about 5:30 am, a team from the 2nd mp 2mc rpsb9 led by PINSP ARNOLD TABUNAN TOLENTINO, platoon leader under direct supervision of PCINSP JEROME TAJOR PAMALARAN, company commander joint with San Miguel Police Station led by Pinsp Bernard Talitayan proceeded to the place of incident purposely to conduct ocular inspection and investigation. Investigation conducted by San Miguel MPS revealed that the incident was transpired at about 9:00 pm of April 22, 2017 at Purok 1, Barangay Dumalian, San Miguel, Zamboanga Del Sur wherein the victim identified as Hon. Rodrigo Mesperos Matchuca, Barangay Chairman of said barangay, 60 years old, married and a resident of same place was shot to death by members of LCM later identified as Dexter Gualdahara Lihop Aka Dave-Dave, 19 years old, single a resident of Sitio Dagum; Zacarias Dag-Uman Robledo, 21 years old, single, a resident of Sitio Palas, All Of Tiguha, Lapuyan, Zamboanga Del Sur and two (2) unidentified suspects using a caliber .45 pistol based on the recovered fired cartridge at the crime scene. Investigation further disclosed that the victim Hon. Rodrigo Matchuca together his companion identified as Danny Boy Balolong had a drinking spree at the store owned by Rommel Matchuca Vergas when suddenly the suspects appeared and without any apparent reason shot the victim hitting on the different parts of his body that resulted to his untimely death. The victim Hon. Rodrigo Matchuca and his companion Danny Boy Balolong was able to retaliate and shot and able to hit one of the suspects named Dexter Gualdahara Lihop hitting on his neck that resulted to his instantaneous death while the other suspects fled away to unknown direction after the incident. Accordingly, the caliber .45 pistols that was used by Dexter Gualdahara Lihop in the commission of the crime was picked-up by one of the suspects prior to their withdrawal. furthermore, victim Hon. Rodrigo Matchuca is a rebel returnee prior he became an elected barangay official of Dumalian, San Miguel, Zamboanga Del Sur and accordingly, motive of the incident revealed that the victim is allegedly withdrawing support and sympathy to the lcm and that he strongly support the establishment of military and CAFGU detachment in the said barangay during his incumbency as barangay chairman. Moreover, the victim was long time being threatened by the LCM to be liquidated as revealed by the later to his friends, relatives and to the military/police authorities. recovered from the dead body of Dexter Gualdahara Lihop were two (2) pieces magazine of caliber .45 pistol loaded with ten (10) rounds of ammunitions which was placed inside his pocket, an improvised pistol belt and from the crime scene were seven (7) pieces fired cartridges of caliber .45 pistol. The post mortem examination was conducted by the crime laboratory of Zamboanga Del Sur Police Provincial Office. San Miguel MPS is now in the process of preparing a case against the suspects.

TAMBULIG - The Drug Enforcement Team of Tambulig MPS conducted drug buy-bust operation at Barangay Calolot, Tambulig, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 12:20 PM of April 24, 2017. This resulted in the arrest of Bethoven Constino Catunga Aka Boyet, 42 years old, married a resident of Purok 3, Barangay Balucot, Tambulig, Zamboanga Del Sur. Confiscated from his possession and control were: two (2) heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, drugs paraphernalia and two (2) hundred (₱200.00) peso bills as marked money. The arrested person is temporary detained at Tambulig MPS for proper disposition.

LAPUYAN - Combined elements of Margosatubig MPS together with the elements of PIB-ZSPPO, Intel operatives of 2nd MC RPSB9, V-Sagun MPS, Lapuyan MPS, PDEA, Zamboanga Del Sur, Philippine Navy and Philippine coastguard conducted buy-bust operation at Purok Cadena De Amor, Sitio Marissa, Barangay Poblacion, Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 6:00 PM of April 24, 2017. This resulted in the arrest of Francisco Dalamaw Nalangan Aka Jun-Subano of legal age, married, a resident of the above mentioned place. recovered from his possession and control were: four (4) heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing suspected shabu, drugs paraphernalia, one (1) unit caliber .45 pistol loaded with two (2) rounds of ammunition inside its magazine and three (3) pieces five hundred (₱500.00) peso bill bearing serial numbers wr849144, ae285631, and fz252387 respectively as buy-bust money. The arrested person was brought to Zamboanga Del Sur Provincial Drug Enforcement Agency Office, Pagadian City for proper disposition.

PAGADIAN CITY - Combined operatives of Aurora MPS and Pagadian City Police Station conducted police operation on the service of warrant of arrest at Rizal Avenue, San Francisco District, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 7:00 PM of April 19, 2017. This resulted to the arrest of Jason Pang-An Cuering, 37 years old, married, seaman, and a resident of Purok Imelda, Barangay Poblacion, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur. Said wanted person has a standing warrant of arrest for violation of sec 5 (i) of R.A 9262, docketed under cc# du-27458, issued by Hon. Mory A Nueva, Assisting Judge Of RTC, 7th Judicial Region, Branch 13, Cebu City. The recommended bail bond amounted to twenty four thousand pesos (php24, 000.00).

AURORA - Personnel of Aurora MPS conducted police operation (service of arrest warrant) at Purok Roxas A, Barangay San Jose, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 12:45 pm on april 19, 2017. The operation resulted to the arrest of Jurel Montipon Luba, 24 years old, single, and resident of Purok Rosas A, Barangay San Jose, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur. The accused was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of estafa, docketed under cc# 2017-0254, issued by Hon. Bernhard B Beltran, Presiding Judge, 5th Judicial Region, RTC, Branch 24, Naga City with recommended bail bond of (php 50,000.00) and another case for violation of qualified theft, docketed under cc# RTC 2017-0256, issued by Hon. Leo L. Intia, Presiding Judge, Fifth Judicial Region, Branch 27, Naga City with recommended bail of (ph 48,000.00). Arrested subject person is presently detained at Aurora MPS awaiting court disposition.

Man Held for Possessing Cal. 38

GUIPOS - A man was arrested after a caliber 38 was found in his possession during checkpoint along the National Highway of Purok 4, Barangay Poblacion, Guipos, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 10:30 AM on April 18, 2017. The suspect who was on board a motorcycle was identified as  Ryan Sadanas Gimpayan, 26 years old, married, construction laborer, a resident of Purok 1, Pobalcion, Guipos, Zamboanga Del Sur. Accordingly, the police requested to open his sling bag but he resisted and attempted to open and hold the handle but he was stopped and subdued. confiscated from his possession were; one (1) unit cal.38 revolver with defaced serial number and three (3) pieces live ammunition and one (1) sling bag. Arrested subject person is presently detained at Guipos MPS for filing appropriate charges against him.

TIGBAO - PNP personnel of Tigbao MPS conducted police operation (service of arrest warrant) at Purok 2, Barangay Mate, Tigbao, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 10:30 AM of April 19, 2017. The operation resulted to the arrest of Susan Lusayan Dano, 53 years old, married, farmer and resident of Purok 2 Huwebesan, Barangay Mate, Tigbao, Zamboanga Del Sur. The accused was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of theft of minerals, docketed under cc# 13426-2k17 with bail bond recommended amounted to (php 12,000.00) and violation of unlawful intrusion of ancestral lands, docketed under cc# 13427-2k17 with bail bond recommended of (php 24,000.00) dated march 30, 2017, all issued By Hon. Judge Dennis P. Vicoy, RTC9, Branch 20, Pagadian City. Arrested subject person is presently detained at Tigbao MPS awaiting court disposition.

REPORTED INCIDENT - April 19, 2017

Shooting Incident

DINAS - An alleged shooting incident occurred at Barangay Legarda Tres, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 9:45 PM of April 18, 2017, wherein victim identified as Narciso Tacuning Batsinecha, 59 years old, married, a resident of same place. initial investigation revealed that while the victim visited the rice and corn mill of certain Wilson Gabule Located At Purok 5, Barangay Legarda Tres, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur and having a talked with Dionisio Matapa Gabule, 71 years old, Junior Gabule and the wife of the victim, a loud sound surprised them which they believed that it was of a gun fire, a minute after victim said, he was hit and he slowly sat down to the ground bloody. Victim sustained gunshot wound at the back of his body with unverified caliber of firearms due to the absence of empty shells recovered at the crime scene. The cadaver of the victim was brought to his residential house. Motive of the incident is still to be determined. Elements of Dinas MPS are still conducting follow-up investigation for the possible arrest and identity of the suspects.

MARGOSATUBIG - Elements of Margosatubig MPS conducted manhunt operation on most wanted person at Barangay Lumbog, Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 4:00 PM of April 17, 2017. This resulted to the arrest of Marlon Cometa Pascolado, 29 years old, male, fisherman, and a resident of Purok Nangka, Barangay Lumbog, Margosatubig, by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Hon. Arnol M. Diabo, Presiding Judge, MCTC Branch 15, Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur, dated 30th day of march 2017 for the crime of acts of lasciviousness docketed under cc# 17-0064-m, bail bond recommended amounted to twelve thousand pesos (₱12,000.00). Arrested subject person is presently detained at Margosatubig MPS for proper disposition.

Stabbing Incident

PAGADIAN CITY - Stabbing incident transpired at D’ Bistro Bar, Located At Jamisola Extension, Barangay Santiago District, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 12:40 AM of April 16, 2017. The victim was identified as Noven Flor Suson Titoy, 26 years old, single, a resident of Purok Silao, Barangay Dumagoc was stabbed by Reynaldo Sinugbohan Langoyan, 20 years old, single a resident of Purok Makabibihag 1, Barangay Sta. Lucia district, all of Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur. Investigation disclosed that while victim was walking along Jamisola Extension, Barangay Santiago, Pagadian City Specifically in front of d’ bistro bar, the suspect armed with a knife with no provocation stabbed the victim. Victim sustained a lone stabbed wound at the back of his body and immediately rushed to pagadian city hospital for treatment. The suspect was arrested by the security guard of said establishment and later turned-over to the responding elements of Pagadian CPS. Confiscated from the possession of the suspect was one (1) hunting knife with scabbard. The suspect is temporarily detained at Pagadian CPS for proper disposition. Motive of the incident is personal grudge.

Drowning Incident

KUMALARANG - Drowning incident occurred at Sitio Dacon, Brgy. Picanan, Kumalarang, Zamboanga Del Sur last April 10, 2017 at about 3:00 PM. The Kumalarang MPS conducted serach rescue operation at about 07:50 AM of April 11, 2017. This led to the recovery of one lifeless male person floating at the territorial waters of the said Barangay at Sitio Dacon, Picanan, Zamboanga Del Sur. Victim was later identified as Victor Hangad, 53 years old, married, and a resident of Brgy Bogayo, Kumalarang. Investigation conducted disclosed that the victim together with his two companion was onboard on a boat negotiating its way to Sitio Dacon, upon reaching near the river port of Sitio Dacon, the boat accidentally capsize resulting them to disembark and victim was carried away by the heavy current of seawater while his two companion was able to swim to the river bank safely. Cadaver of the victim is now brought by his immediate family at Brgy. Bogayo, Kumalarang, Zamboanga Del Sur for proper disposition.

Shooting Incident

TIGBAO - Shooting incident has occurred at Purok 2, Barangay Tigbao, Tigbao, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 5:10 PM of April 9, 2017. Combined elements of Tigbao MPS and 53rd IB, Bravo Company of the Philippine Army, discovered one (1) dead body of Anastacia Baludo Pamaybay, 70 years old, widow a resident of the aforementioned place who was positively identified by her daughter Jengelie Sadja Pamaybay. Victim sustained a lone gunshot wound on her breast that caused her instantaneous death. Initial investigation disclosed that the victim together with her granddaughter Rosil Baludo Pamaybay, 9 years old, were passing a trail coming from their cultivated land at the forested area of the above mentioned place, upon reaching at the place of incident, unidentified armed men, shot the victim. The cadaver was turn-over to her immediate family for proper disposition. Motive of the incident is still undetermined. Tigbao MPS is still conducting follow-up operation for the possible arrest and identity of the suspects.

Stabbing Incident

DUMINGAG - Stabbing incident has transpired at Purok 2, Barangay Dulop, Dumingag, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 6:37 PM of April 10, 2017, wherein the  victim identified as Sulpicio Etoc Jemino, 76 years old, married, who was stabbed to death by Tirso Gonzaga, of legal age both residents of the said place. Investigation disclosed that the victim was sitting at the store of Mr. Nomer when the suspect appeared and with no provocation pulled a hunting knife from his waist and stabbed the victim. The victim sustained stabbed wound on his body and was rushed to LTMPC hospital at Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur but declared dead on arrival by the attending physician while the suspect fled towards unknown direction after the incident. Elements of Mahayag MPS are still conducting follow-up operation for the possible arrest of the suspect.

Stabbing Incident

TABINA - Stabbing incident occurred at Purok Timog, Barangay Lumbia, Tabina, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 5:30 PM of April 10, 2017. The suspect was identified as Erick Chavez Colot, 41 years old, married, a resident of Purok Timog, Barangay Lumbia, Tabina, Zamboanga Del Sur. The victim was his brother in- law identified as Alberto Palmero Carator, 39 years old, married, a resident of said place. investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim and his wife Jurinda Carator Y Colot were engaged in a heated argument inside their house located at the above-mentioned place, when the suspect armed with a bolo arrived at the house of the spouse and suddenly stabbed the victim without any apparent reason. As a result, victim sustained stabbed wound on his body and was rushed to Tabina Rural Health center and subsequently brought to Mendero Hospital for further treatment. Further investigation revealed that both victim and suspect believed to be under the influence of liquor during the incident. The bolo used by the suspect was turned-over by Hon. Rodrigo B. Tamparong, Barangay Chairman of Lumbia, Tabina, Zamboanga Del Sur to Tabina MPS. The suspect is temporarily detained at Tabina MPS for proper disposition.

PAGADIAN CITY - Operatives of Pagadian City Police Station and RPSB9 conducted buy-bust operation at Purok Tisa Brgy, Baloyboan, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 4:20 PM of April 9, 2017. The operation resulted to the successful arrest of Clito Tigley Padilla, 32 years old, male, single, make-up artist, a resident of Purok Malipayon, Balangasan District, Pagadian City. Recovered from his possession one (1) piece heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be methamphetamine hydrochloride locally known as “shabu”, and the one  piece (1) five hundred peso (500) bill marked money bearing serial number cf529748. Arrested suspect is presently detained Pagadian City Police Station for filing of appropriate charges in court.

Campaign against Illegal Gambling

PITOGO - An illegal gambling (horse fighting) activity at Purok 3, Brgy Sugbay Dos, Pitogo, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 8:30 AM of April 9, 2017. Investigation conducted disclosed, that the responding pnp team were able to identify the male horse’s owners as Hon. Soliman Ordeniza and his wife Bebie Santa Iglesia Ordeniza, residents of Brgy. Sugbay Uno Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur who was there present during the said illegal activity but was able to elude arrest Mr. Dionisio Suico, resident of Brgy. Sugbay Dos Pitogo, Zamboanga Del Sur also the owner of the other male horse Mr. Jetron Salvador of same place owner of the female horse. Three (3) horses are brought to Pitogo Municipal Police Station for proper disposition while appropriate criminal charges are being prepared for filing in court.

Shooting Incident

LAPUYAN - Shooting incident has transpired in Purok 4, Barangay Pampang, Lapuyan, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 8:30 AM of April 6, 2017. The victim was identified as Arwan Mayo Abtali, 28 years old, married, resident of said place. The suspects were identified as Montaser Raterta Aka “Tongtongan”, and an unidentified male companion. Initial investigation disclosed that the victim was drinking coffee at his residence when the suspects arrived and shot the victim several times using a caliber .45 pistols. The victim sustained gunshot wounds on the different parts of his body but he was able to escape. The victim was immediately brought by his neighbors to Margosatubig Regional Hospital for medication while the suspects fled to an unknown direction after the incident.  The motive of the incident is personal grudge. Elements of Lapuyan MPS are still conducting follow-up operation to arrest the suspects. Investigator-on-case is Po1 Madz-Har S Moderika with contact number 09264923737.

Cadaver Found

MOLAVE - An unidentified person found lying lifeless in Sitio Susayan, Barangay Dalaon, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 10:15 PM of April 5, 2017. initial investigation disclosed that the victim is more or less 20 to 25 years old, male, about 5’0” tall, wearing gray t-shirt and long blue pants. Molave MPS is still conducting follow-up investigation to identify the victim and the motive of the incident. Investigator-on-case is Spo1 Genmaidee F Jabello with contact number 09998348816.

Project Double Barrel

MOLAVE - The Municipal Drug Enforcement Team (MDET) of Molave MPS conducted a buy-bust operation in Purok Malipayon 1, Barangay Culo, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 11:00 PM of April 5, 2017. This led to the arrest of Vivencio Rosalejos Dumon, 51 years old, married, resident of Lagata Compound, Barangay Sudlon, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur. Confiscated from him were a samsung cellular phone, alleged drug proceeds and buy-bust money amounting to eight hundred eighty pesos (₱880.00), and one multi-colored pouch containing two (2) pieces heat-sealed sachet containing shabu and drug paraphernalia. The suspect is temporarily detained at Molave MPS for proper disposition.

Campaign against illegal Logging

BAYOG - Operatives of Bayog MPS, Public Safety Company-Zamboanga Del Sur PPO, Phil. Army and DENR 9 personnel led by forester Victor Dajao conducted joint operation against illegal logging at the vicinity of Purok 6, Barangay Canoayan, Bayog Zamboanga Del Sur at about 2:45 PM of April 5, 2017. This led to the recovery of forest products in lumber form of red lauan species with a total volume of five hundred ninety one (591) board feet with the estimated market value of ten thousand six hundred thirty eight pesos (P 10,638.00). Confiscated items were temporarily deposited to Bayog MPS for proper disposition. Bayog MPS conducted thorough investigation to identify the owner of the above mentioned items.

Confiscation of Pirated Discs

MOLAVE - Personnel of Optical Media Board (OMD) under the office of the President together with PNP members of Molave MPS under the direction of Psi June Akiate Lawingan conducted operation against pirated optical media disc at Molave Public Market Area, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 11:30 AM of April 5, 2017. This resulted to the confiscation of forty-eight (48) sacks assorted pirated discs, estimated total worth of six million seven hundred twenty thousand (P6,720,000.00) which were now in custody of the members of Optical Media Board (OMD).

Hacking Incident

LAKEWOOD - Hacking incident transpired at Purok-4, Barangay Gatub, Lakewood, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 9:15 PM of April 3, 2017, wherein the victim identified as Roque Mayormita Bicoy, 22 years old, single, farmer, and a resident of purok-4 of the aforesaid place was hacked by Junny Atugas Ligisan, 26 years old, single, farmer, and a resident of purok-6, of aforementioned place. Initial investigation conducted disclosed, that prior to the incident, the victim was in the house of his relative Daniboy Dasilio, distributing food to his nephew when a certain Junny Ligisan took the scythe that was place at the “nipa” roof of the house and without apparent reasons hacked the victim but he was able to notice and tried to stopped the suspect but still he was hit at left arm and was able to run. Suspect was arrested by responding pnp element of Lakewood MPS. Victim was brought to rural health unit of lake wood municipality for immediate medical assistance. Arrested suspect is presently detained at Lake Wood MPS for proper disposition. Investigator on case is PO3 Belfred L. Orgada with CP # 09461568394.

Vehicular Traffic Accident

JOSEFINA - Vehicular traffic accident at Brgy Ubt, Josefina, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 6:00 pm of April 3, 2017, wherein (v1) single MC Mio 125, color blue, bearing plate kc 57814 driven by Po3 Reybomarephil K Agpasa, 32 years old, single, PNP member and currently assigned of Josefina MPS and (v2) single mc XRM 125, color red, driven by Daryl Suan Hachanova, 26 years old, married, teacher by occupation and a resident of Brgy Upper Bag-Ongtudela, Josefina. Initial investigation conducted disclosed that at about 5:45 PM of same date, the v1 while conducting motorcycle patrol in our aor and upon reaching at the place of incident, the v2 counter flowed, then and there, v1 tried to evade. As a result, v1 lost control while driving and fell down to ground particularly on the left side of road. The driver v1 sustained injuries on different part of his body and was brought to Mahayag Community Hospital, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur for medical treatment..

JOSEFINA - PNP elements of Josefina Municipal Police Station conducted police operation (service warrant of arrest) at Barangay Moradje, Josefina, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 3:00 PM of April 3, 2017. The operation resulted to the arrest of Hilly Albios Saberon, 36 years ols, male, single, farmer and residents of Brgy. Moradje, Josefina. This is by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of frustrated murder docketed under cc# 2017-10-3325, issued by Hon. Jaime B. Caberte, Presiding Judge Of RTC 9th Judicial Region, Branch 23 Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur, issued on march 9, 2017 with bail bond recommended amounted to two hundred thousand pesos (P 200,000.00). Arrested subject person is presently detained at Josefina MPS waiting for court disposition.

MARGOSATUBIG - Joint buy-bust operation was conducted by elements of PDEA 9 Zamboanga Del Sur, PNP elements of Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB-ZSPPO) and Margosatubig MPS (MDET) at Purok Bandera De Española, Barangay Poblacion, Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 3:00 PM of April 2, 2017. The operation resulted in the arrest of newly identified drug pusher under the category of street level identified as Danilo Pino Tumacas, 31 years old, married a resident of the above-mentioned place. recovered from his possession and control were: one (1) heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing shabu, three (3) pieces of one hundred (₱100.00) pesos bill bearing serial numbers  ks458568, fx942174 and al625354 respectively as marked money. Arrested subject person is presently detained at Margosatubig MPS for proper disposition.

Arrest of Wanted Person

KUMALARANG - Combined operatives of Zamboanga Del Sur Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit, Regional Intelligence Division, RPSB9, Zamboanga Del Sur Public Safety Company and Bayog MPS conducted manhunt operation at Purok Crossing, Barangay Poblacion, Kumalarang, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 3:23 PM on April 2, 2017. This resulted to the arrest of Wilfredo C Caldoza, 53 years old, a resident of Purok Saging, Barangay Sicade, Kumalarang, Zamboanga Del Norte, a high value target and most wanted person rank. Number 2 of Bayog MPS. Subject person was arrested for violation of section 16 of article ii of RA 9165 issued by Hon. Felix B. Rodriguez Jr., Presiding Judge Of Rtc9, Branch 18, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur with no bail-bond recommended. Arrested subject person is presently detained at Bayog MPS for proper disposition.
