REPORTED INCIDENTS – July 29, 2017

Shooting Incident

TABINA - On or about 4:46 PM on July 28, 2017, a victim of a shooting incident went rushing to Tabina Municipal Health Center.Members of Tabina MPS proceeded to said health center to investigate and came upon the victim identified as Charles Otac Jumawan, 42 Years old, male, habal-habal driver, married, resident of Purok Cabuso, Lumbia, Tabina, Zamboanga del Sur. Initial Investigation disclosed that the victim was driving his motorcycle from Brgy. Lumbia going to Brgy. Poblacion, of said town. Upon reaching Purok Hinagdong, Brgy. Mabuhay of same municipality, unidentified suspects waiting beside the road shot the victim several times, hitting the right side of his chest using a cal. 45 pistol based on the two (2) recovered spent shells. The victim managedto drive away from his assailants and rode to the health center for medication. The suspects fled towards the mountainous part of Barangay Mabuhay. The victim was brought to Pagadian City for further medication. Tabina Municipal Police Station is still conducting follow-up investigation to arrest the suspects. Hacking Incident

DINAS - On or about 4:40 PM on July 28, 2017, elements of Dinas MPS received a phone call from Barangay Chairperson Junryl I. Marie of Brgy. Dongos, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Surand reported about a hacking incident in Purok 7 of said barangay. Initial investigation conducted made by  Dinas MPS disclosed that the victim identified as Ronie Lumisag Pigao, 33 years old, farmer, resident of same place, was hacked to death by his neighbor named Gilbert Minyao Tomo, 33 years old, married, farmer, resident of same place. Investigation further revealed that the victim and the suspect were walking along their way home when they had a heated argument which made the suspect hack the victim several times with the use of a bolo wherein the victim sustained multiple hack wounds to the different parts of his body which caused his death. The suspect fled to an unknown direction after committing the crime.  Elements of Dinas MPS are conducting pursuit operation to arrest the suspect.

Shooting Incident

MARGOSATUBIG - A shooting incident transpired in Purok Dahlia, Brgy. Josefina, Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Surat about 9:00 PM on July 28, 2017. Margosatubig MPS received a phone call from a concerned citizen regarding a shooting incident wherein the victim was identified as Barangay Chairperson Patricio Obido Mat, 65 years old, married, resident of abovementioned place. Investigation made by Margosatubig MPS disclosed that the victim was inside the Pamana Building of Barangay Josefina watching television alone, when a lone gunshothit the window of said building fired by an unidentified suspect using an unknown firearm. Said barangay person was unharmed, while the suspect fled to unknown direction after the incident. Margosatubig MPS is conducting follow-up investigation to arrest the suspect. Arrest of Wanted Person

LAPUYAN - Operatives of Lapuyan MPS conducted manhunt operation at Purok Santan, Barangay Poblacion, Lapuyan, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 8:30 AM of July 27, 2017. This resulted in the arrest of Ariel Villarosa Salinas, 32 years old, married, a tricycle driver and a resident of the above-mentioned place. Subject person was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of estafa issued by Hon. Henry R. Damasang, Presiding Judge Of Rtc 10th Judicial Region, Branch 24, Cagayan De Oro City docketed under criminal case number 2017-1611 with recommended bail-bond of twenty six thousand (₱26,000.00) pesos. The accused is temporarily detained at Lapuyan MPS for proper disposition.

Project Double Barrel

AURORA - PNP elements of Aurora MPS conducted drug buy-bust operation at Mabini Street, Barangay Poblacion, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 8:00 PM of July 27, 2017. This resulted in the arrest of Clinton Gan-Chian Quimson, 19 years old, single a resident of Purok Acacia, Barangay Maranding, Lala, Lanao Del Norte. Confiscated from his possession and control were: one (1) heat sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu as buy-bust item, one (1) heat sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu for possession, five (5) pieces of one hundred (100.00) peso bills as marked money and drugs paraphernalia. The estimated street value of the confiscated shabu is one thousand (1,000.00) pesos. The arrested person and the confiscated items were brought to Aurora MPS for proper disposition.

Arrest of Wanted Person

SOMINOT - Operatives of Sominot MPS and Dinas MPS conducted joint police operation on wanted person (service of arrest warrant) at Purok 2, San Miguel, Sominot, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 1:20 PM of July 26, 2017. The operation resulted to the arrest of Jumar Mejares Asuro, 18 years old, single, farm laborer, resident of Purok Dos, San Miguel, Sominot, Zamboanga Del Sur. This is by virtue of warrant of arrest docketed in cc# 16-043 for car napping issued on June 20, 2017 by Hon. Judge Atty. Ruben N. Bance, Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 29, San Miguel, Zamboanga Del Sur. with bail bond recommended amounted to one hundred twenty thousand pesos (Php120, 000.00). The accused is now temporary detained at Sominot MPS while waiting for proper court disposition.

DUMINGAG - Combined elements of Dumingag MPS and Baungon MPS conducted a manhunt operation at Purok 4, Barangay San Miguel, Baungon, Bukidnon at about 5:30 PM of July 25, 2017. This resulted to the arrest of Danilo Payla Dayot, 53 years old, married and resident of said place. This is by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of homicide docketed under cc# 16-10,1341 issued last august 22, 2016 by Hon. Analyn F. Ramas-Costanilla, Presiding Judge, Rtc 9, Branch 30, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur with no bail recommended. Accused is now temporarily detained at Dumingag MPS while waiting his final adjudication from the court..

Arrest of Wanted Person

MAHAYAG - A 36-year old man was arrested at Purok 2, Barangay Delusom, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 2:30 PM of July 24, 2017. Suspect Danny Boy Aguhob Lumangcag, 36, was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of serious physical injuries issued by Hon. Vittorio D Dalman, Presiding Judge, MTCC, 9th Judicial Region, Dapitan City, Zamboanga Del Norte docketed under criminal case number 17984 dated May 25, 2017. He is temporarily detained at Mahayag Police Station for proper disposition.

Arrest of Wanted Person

TABINA - A RA 9262 violator was arrested during manhunt operation at Barangay Poblacion, Tabina, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 8:00 AM of July 25, 2017. Tabina MPS identified as Jayson Lumawan Cagas, 39 years old, married, a rice and corn mill operator and a resident of the above-mentioned place. This is for violation of ra 9262 docketed under criminal case number 16-126 issued by Hon. Ruben N Bance, Presiding Judge, RTC 9th Judicial Region, Branch 29 Of San Miguel, Zamboanga Del Sur with recommended bail-bond of forty thousand (₱40,000.00) pesos. He was brought to Tabina MPS for proper disposition.

REPORTED INCIDENT - July 25, 2017

Shooting Incident

DIMATALING - Shooting incident transpired at Barangay Poblacion, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 8:10 AM of July 24, 2017, wherein victim Zabana Omar Mustafa, 39 years old, married, barangay Secretary of Brgy. Poblacion, a religious Muslim leader as (Ustadz) and a resident of Purok 1 Poblacion, Dimataling, Zamboanga del Sur.  Investigation disclosed that the victim driven his single motorcycle and upon reaching at the place of incident suspect appeared onboard Honda Bravo 100 color Green/Black combination without plate number and shot the victim several times by the used of  caliber 45 pistol base on the empty shells and slugs recovered at the crime scene. Suspect fled along the provincial road heading towards the municipality of Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur. Victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds on his head and body that resulted his instantaneous death. recovered at the crime scene six (6) pieces empty shells, four (4) pieces slugs of alleged caliber 45 pistol and 1 (one) pc of a digital wrist watch. Dimataling MPS conducted follow investigation for possible arrest of the suspect. Motive of the incident believed to personal grudge.

Vehicular Accident

DUMALINAO - On or about 11:50 PM on July 24, 2017, John vincent Rendon, 16 years old and resident of Pagadian city personally reported to Dumalinao MPS informing that when he passed at National Highway of Brgy. Locoban, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur, he noticed that (2) single MCs were overshot at the road water drainage at abovementioned place. PNP elements of Dumalinao MPS immediately responded to the reported place of incident and found out (1) single mc XRM color red without plate number and (1) XRM 125 color red without plate number were accidentally overshot at the water drainage along the national highway particularly at Purok San Francisco, Locuban, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur. Driven by Judy Perdigez Ibañes, 16 years old, single, backrider Noel Perdigez Ibañes, 23 years old, While the other MC was driven  by  Ryan Perdigez Ibañes, 22 years old single, backrider Marmar Pasahe, all  residents of Purok Marang, Sebucao, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur. Investigation further disclosed that said single MCs were travelling in convoy and same direction from Sebucao, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur bound to Pagadian city and upon reaching at abovementioned place accidentally bumped the stockpile made of stones when they failed to recognized the road under construction particularly the inner lane. Both MCs collided each other and slumped into the concrete road and the single MC color red overshot to the concrete drainage. As a result, Marmar Pasahe and Ryan Ibañes were seriously injured while Judy Ibañes and Noel Ibañes were slightly injured and were brought to Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center for medical treatment, while single MCs were now under the custody of Dumalinao MPS.

SAGUN - PNP personnel of Vincenzo Sagun MPS conducted police operation (Service of Arrest Warrant) at Barangay Lunib, Vencinzu Sagun, Zamboanga del Sur at about 9:00 AM of July 24, 2017. This resulted to the arrest of Jason Dionaldo, 33 years old, married and resident of Purok Maharlika, Barangay Lunib, Vincenzo Sagun, Zamboanga del Sur. This is by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Child Abuse, docketed under CC# 16-191, issued by Hon. Ruben N Bance, Presiding Judge, RTC, Branch 29, Pagadian City. The arrested subject person is presently detained at Vencinzu Sagun MPS for proper disposition.

LAPUYAN - PNP personnel of Lapuyan MPS conducted police operation (Service of Arrest Warrant) at Purok 2, Barangay Tipasan, Lapuyan, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 7:30 AM of July 24, 2017. The operation resulted to the arrest of Enerio Bagalanon Lusay, 37 years old, male, single, farmer and resident of said place by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Rape by Sexual Assault, docketed under CC# 16-093, issued by Hon. Ruben N Bance, Presiding Judge, RTC, Branch 29, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur with bail bond recommended amounted to (Php200, 000.00). The arrested subject person is presently detained at Lapuyan MPS for proper disposition.

PAGADIAN CITY - Joint PNP personnel of Pagadian CPS and 2nd MC-RPSB9 conducted police operation (Service of Arrest Warrant) at Purok Lawis, Barangay Sta. Lucia, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 9:20 AM of July 24, 2017. The operation resulted to the arrest of Jhonny Magbanua Calunod, 43 years old, male, married and resident of Purok Curvada, Barangay Nuboran, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur. The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Simple Arson, docketed under CC# 13536-2k17, issued on June 30, 2017 by Honorable Judge Romeo T Descallar, Presiding Judge, RTC, Branch 19, 9th Judicial Region, Pagadian City. The bail bond recommended amounted to (PHP 24,000.00). Arrested subject person is presently detained at Pagadian CPS for proper disposition.

PROJECT DOUBLE BARREL

PAGADIAN CITY - A 36-year old man considered the Top 4 watch list of PDEA was arrested during the drug buy-bust operation carried out by combined operatives of Pagadian CPS and Zamboanga Del Sur PPO-Drug Enforcement Unit at Purok Talisay, Kawit, Pagdian City, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 3:30 PM of July 22, 2017. The arrested suspect was identified as Ebrahim Tandual Pagrangan, 36, a resident of Muricay, Pagadian City.  Confiscated from his possession were three plastic sachets of Shabu and marked money. Suspect is presently detained at PDEU locked-up cell Capitol Compound, Pagadian City for filing of appropriate charges in court.

ARREST OF WANTED PERSONS

MIDSALIP - A murder suspect was arrested at Brgy. Guitalos, Midsalip, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 4:30 PM of July 22, 2017. Arrested was Juliben Gumanlag Mandao, male, 30 years. Old, single, farmer and resident of said place. This is by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of murder docketed under cc# 16-10, 1341 issued last august 22, 2016 by Hon. Analyn F. Ramas-Costanilla, Presiding Judge, RTC 9, Branch 30, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur with no bail recommended. He is now temporarily detained at said police station while waiting for court order for proper disposition.

A RA 9165 violator was arrested at Purok 4 Labuan, Zamboanga City at about 4:50 PM of July 22, 2017.  He was identified as Mukim Dodong Thomas, 37 years old, male, single and resident of above mentioned place. This is by virtue of warrant of arrest for violation of R.A. 9165 sec.11 with docketed under cc# 32464. Issued by Hon. Shaldilyn B. Bangsaja Assisting Judge 13 RTC9, Zamboanga City with bail bond recommended amounted to php200, 000.00. He is presently detained at Labuan Police Station for proper disposition.

A fisherman was arrested at Barangay Malim, Tabina, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 4:00 PM of July 21, 2017. Tabina MPS identified the arrested as Fernando Bulaga Mercado, 54 years old, widowed, fisherman, resident of above-mentioned place. This is by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of violation of Art. VI sec. 10 of RA 7610 with docketed under cc# 16-102 issued by Hon Judge Ruben Bance, RTC 9th Judicial Region Branch 29 San Miguel, Zamboanga Del Sur With Bail bond recommended amounted to eighty thousand pesos (80,000.00). He is presently detained at said police station for documentation and proper disposition.

STABBING INCIDENT

GUIPOS - PLEASE BE INFORMED THAT AT ABOUT 8:00 PM OF JULY 22, 2017 A STABBING INCIDENT TRANSPIRED AT PUROK 3, BARANGAY LINTUM, GUIPOS, ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR WHEREIN VICTIM IDENTIFIED AS ROMNICK CARITAN ESCALA, 30 YEARS OLD, SINGLE, JOBLESS AND RESIDENT OF SAME PLACE WAS STABBED BY  CELSO SARDA DINGAL, 53 YEARS OLD, MARRIED, BARANGAY TANOD AND RESIDENT OF THE AFOREMENTIONED PLACE. INITIAL INVESTIGATION CONDUCTED REVEALED THAT, PRIOR TO THE INCIDENT THE SUSPECT AND HIS WIFE ALLEGEDLY HAD HATED ARGUMENTS, THE VICTIM WAS PACIFYING THE COUPLES AND WITHOUT ANY APPARENT REASON THE SUSPECT STABBED ONCE THE VICTIM USING A SHARP BOLO HITTING AT THE ABDOMEN THAT RESULTED TO HIS INSTANTANEOUS DEATH. FURTHER, SUSPECT AND THE VICTIM BELIEVED TO BE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF LIQUOR, MOTIVE OF THE INCIDENT BELIEVED TO BE PERSONAL GRUDGE. INITIAL INVESTIGATION CONDUCTED DISCLOSED THAT, THE TEN (10) WHEELER DUMP TRUCK FULLY LOADED OF ROCKS TRAVELING ITS WAY FROM BARANGAY MALATING, RAMON MAGSAYSAY ZDS UPON REACHING AT THE DOWNHILL GRADE PORTION OF THE ROAD NEARBY CONSTRUCTED ROAD OF PUROK 2, BARANGAY ESPERANZA, RM, ZDS WAS ACCIDENTALLY BUMPED TO THE MONTERO SPORT TRAVELLING TOWARDS OPPOSITE DIRECTION GOING TO PAGADIAN CITY. ARREST OF WANTED PERSON

CAMINS AVENUE, ZAMBOANGA CITY. Cadaver Found

SAN PABLO - A male cadaver was discovered at the seawater of Sitio Rebi, Barangay Teniapan, San Pablo, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 12:30 PM of July 17, 2017, wherein the cadaver was later identified as Esmael Collantes Sistual, 24 years old married, farmer, a resident of Purok Gemilina, Barangay Sacbulan, San Pablo, Zamboanga Del Sur. subject person was discovered floating in the seawater of Rebi Beach Resort located at the aforementioned place. Initial investigation disclosed that the victim went to barangay Tawagan Norte, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur On July 13, 2017 at around 1:00 PM to cultivate a portion of land. The victim on board on his banca crossed the Labangan River but his banca capsized and carried away by the strong current. The victim was turned-over to his immediate family for proper disposition while the cause of death is drowning.

Suicide Incident

TABINA - Suicide incident transpired at Purok Sanib Langis, Poblacion, Tabina, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 6:00 AM of July 16, 2017wherein victim identified as Rodolfo Prieto Adlaon, 42 years old, male married and a resident of Sanib Langis, Poblacion, Tabina, Zamboanga Del Sur. Investigation conducted disclosed that the victim was found hanged on the doorjamb inside his house with an electric wire tied on his neck and the other end was tied at the upper doorjamb which caused to his death. The incident was discovered by his daughter Maryflor Adlaon, 12 years old at about 6:00 AM of July 16, 2017. Accordingly the victim suffered from distress due to his wife who left them two months ago leaving with him their seven kids. Vehicular Traffic Accident

PITOGO - Vehicular traffic accident transpired at Provincial Rd Purok Paradise, Brgy Poblacion Pitogo Zamboanga Del Sur at about 6:45 pm of July 16 of 2017, Wherein Kawasaki hd3 motorcycle with sidecar driven by Roque H Langam, 57 years old, married, Municipal Agriculturist Of The Municipality Of Pitogo, and resident of Purok Orchids, Brgy Poblacion Pitogo, Zamboanga Del Sur. Initial investigation conducted disclosed that the driver had a drinking spree at his office on his way home while traversing towards purok paradise of Brgy Poblacion, Pitogo and upon reaching at the place of incident, the side wheel of his motorcycle exploded and stumble down. The driver sustained injury on the different part of his body and immediately brought to Pitogo Rural Health Center and subsequently forwarded to Jamiliarin Hospital In Pagadian City For proper medication, but pronounce dead by the attending physician.

This is by virtue of two (2) alias warrant of arrest issued by Hon. Ronald C. Bidela C. Gandula, Presiding Judge of 5th MCTC of Katipunan-Sergio Osmeña, Sr., Ninth Judicial Region, Katipunan, Zamboanga del Norte dated January 7, 2003. Dead Body Found

DUMINGAG - A dead body was found lying along Magsaysay Avenue, Barangay San Pablo, Dumingag, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 4:30 AM of July 15, 2017. The victim was seen lying lifeless along the cemented road of the above-mentioned place and later identified as Rolando Obog Gica, 18 years old, single, a resident of Purok Azucena 1, Barangay San Pedro, Dumingag, Zamboanga Del Sur. Initial investigation disclosed that at around 3:00 AM of same date, a nearby residents heard a gun burst however they did not go out from their respective resident because of fear. Recovered at the crime scene were: two (2) pieces of fired cartridge of caliber .45 pistols. Motive of the incident is still to be determined. Man Held for Possessing Shabu

SAN MIGUEL - On or about 3:45 PM of July 13, 2017, PNP elements of San Miguel MPS received a cellphone call from Hon. Joepher V Sabal, 49 years old, married, Barangay Chairman of Barangay Mati, San Miguel, Zamboanga Del Sur informing them that  unidentified person left one (1) heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing granules of crystalline substance believed to be shabu on the table after eating inside the carinderia owned by Mr. And Mrs. Camus situated at Purok 1A, Barangay Mati, San Miguel, Zamboanga Del Sur. immediately, elements of San Miguel MPS proceeded at the above-mentioned place and thereat, the barangay chairman turned-over the suspect identified as Ruben Caballero Ismael Aka Toto, 28 years old, single, fish vendor and a resident of Purok 3, Sitio Tuka, Barangay Poblacion, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur. Recovered from the place was one (1) heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline granules believed to be shabu with an estimated amount of three hundred (₱300.00) pesos and drug paraphernalia. Ñino, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 4:00 AM of July 13, 2017. This resulted in the arrest of Mark Jodem Peralta Quirante Aka Doj, 24 years old, single, a student of Southwestern College Cebu and a resident of Purok Patag, Barangay Dao, Pagadian City, Mark Andrew Albios Sinco aka Andrew, 22 years old, single, a college student of Misamis University Ozamis City and a resident of Barangay Bañadero, Ozamis City, Anthony Lau Montefalcon Aka Tonyang, 24 years old, single, a College Student Of Saint Columban College Pagadian City and a resident of Purok Gumamela, Barangay Kagawasan, Pagadian City and Jick Sacdalan Duhaylungsod Aka Kidong, 23 years old, single, a College Student Of Southern Mindanao College (SMC) Pagadian City and a resident of Purok Osmeña, Barangay Sto. Ñino, Pagadian City. Recovered from their possession and control were: two (2) large heat sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu and one (1) heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu, drugs paraphernalia and five (5) pieces of one hundred (₱100.00) peso bill bearing serial numbers cy334995, sf650651, sf868739, fx661872, cu78871 as marked money. Neutralization of Wanted Person and Criminal Gang Member (Andi Group)

PAGADIAN CITY - Combined elements of RID-SBTB, Cotabato PIB, PPSF, Kabacan MPS, Matalam MPS and Provincial Intelligence Branch- Zamboanga Del Sur PPO, PRO9 conducted police operation in relation to loi 03/11 (manhunt charlie) at Bonifacio Street, Barangay Poblacion, Matalam, Cotabato at about 7:00 AM of July 10, 2017. This resulted in the successful arrest of Tukan Guinale Aka Tucan Pagayao/Asmaudin Manupac Balatucal/Tukan Giale/Tuks/Master/Salik/ Salek/Abs. Prior to his apprehension, PSUPT Modhin A Pantaran, Chief PIB together with the intelligence personnel proceeded to Municipality Of Matalam in coordination with the Cotabato Provincial Police Office on May 22, 2017, to effect the arrest but yielded negative result, however, he briefed the provincial director of Cotabato PPO and provides all documents/data of the aforesaid wanted person and further informed that the subject was sighted in their aor. the subject wanted person was involved in series of criminal activities, such as: mastermind of the jailbreak in Zamboanga Del Sur Provincial Jail, Pagadian City that transpired on February 11, 2011 together with seven detainees killing the prison guard identified as Francisco Bertulfo and during the conduct of hot pursuit operation, the said escapees killed Po2 Charles Bajolo and wounding Po2 Richard Carreon. He was the leader of the former Tukan Group involving gun-for-hire and illegal drugs activities in Zamboanga Del Sur and Lanao Provinces. The subject was responsible in the killing of more or less twenty one (21) persons in Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur. however, most of the relatives of the victims have no interest in filing a case because of the Moro tradition “rido” and some poor victims are also afraid of retaliation. He was identified as member of the Afdal, Nandang And Malaco Drug Group engaging illegal drug trade in Zamboanga Del Sur, Lanao Del Norte, Lanao Del Sur, Maguindanao and Metro Manila. on the year 2014, he was ranked as Top (4) Most Wanted Person (regional level) by the chief rid, pro9 and subsequently elevated national level for top most wanted person (TMWP) by the Chief RID, PRO9. Tukan Guiale was further identified as Abdul Aka. Abs And Tuks, a member of the Andi group, involved in gun-for-hire, sea piracy and extortion activities victimizing businessmen and small scale fisher folks in Dumanquillas, Maligay and Yllana Bays. The nature of offenses committed by the subject are as follows: pending cases at City Prosecutors Office, Pagadian City: murder and frustrated murder under NPS docketed no. ix-05-inv-11c-00038; one (1) count of murder, two (2) counts of frustrated murder, two (2) counts of attempted murder and one (1) count of robbery under nps docketed no. ix-05-inv-11c-00039, grave threats and carnapping under nps docketed no. ix-05-inv-11c-00040. pending cases in court: murder in cc no. 7740-2k5 of RTC Branch 19, Pagadian City issued by Hon. The operation resulted to the arrest of Lito Ababol Calibo, 41 years old, married, farmer and a resident of Purok 9, Barangay Kahayagan, Bayog, Zamboanga Del Sur, listed as Top 8 Most Wanted Person in municipal level. the accused was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Hon. Judge Felix B. Rodriguez Jr., Presiding Judge, Rtc Branch 18, 9th Judicial Region, Pagadian City Dated November 24, 2015 docketed under cc# 12269-2k15 for a crime of homicide with the bail bond recommended amounting to forty thousand pesos (Php 40,000.00). He is now temporarily detained at said police station for proper disposition.

Arrest of Wanted Person

DUMINGAG - Operatives of Tambulig MPS and Dumingag MPS conducted a joint operation against wanted person thru Intel driven operation at Poblacion, Dumingag, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 10:30 AM of July 12, 2017. The operation resulted to the arrest of Junrey Mabisa Banggus, 23 years old, baker by occupation and a resident of Purok 6, Barangay Happy Valley, Tambulig, Zamboanga Del Sur. the suspect was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest with cc # 2015-10-3050 issued by Presiding Judge Jaime B. Caberte Of RTC 9th Judicial Region, Branch 23, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur for the crime of robbery dated January 03, 2017 with bail bond recommended amounting to forty thousand pesos (40, 000.00). He is now temporarily detained at Tambulig MPS for proper disposition.

REPORTED INCIDENT - July 12, 2017

Shooting Incident

MARGOSATUBIG - Shooting incident transpired at Purok Orchids, Barangay Poblacion, Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 9:00 PM of July 11, 2017. The victim was identified as PO1 Oliver Tano Apduhan, PNP member of Margosatubig MPS. He was lying on the ground when the responding Margosatubig MPS arrived at the crime scene. He sustained gunshot wound on his head and was immediately brought to Margosatubig Regional Hospital for medical treatment but was further referred to Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center, Dao Pagadian City for further medical attention. Initial investigation disclosed that at about 8:40 pm of the same date, while the victim was driving his motorcycle, he saw Jomar Taiting at the abovementioned place and who is a drug surrenderee. He immediately confronted him that resulted to a fist fight. At the height of commotion, unidentified person came and helped Jomar Taiting wherein the issued firearm of the victim was grabbed by the suspect and immediately shot the victim. Further, after the incident, the suspect walked a few meters away returned and again shot Po1 Oliver Apduhan. The suspects carted away the issued firearm and the motorcycle Honda xrm of the victim and fled towards unknown direction. Margosatubig MPS is still conducting a hot pursuit operation for the possible arrest of the suspects. Investigator-on-case is Spo1 Fernan T Galadlas with contact number 09104756838.

AURORA - Combined operatives of Intel Branch of Zamboanga Del Sur PPO and Aurora MPS conducted an entrapment operation against illegal number game known as “suertres” at Barangay Kahayagan, Barangay Commonwealth and Barangay Balide All of Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 10:00 AM of July 10, 2017. The operation resulted in the arrest of the following: Espedito Asuelo Cortez, 60 years old, married, a resident of Purok Lapu-Lapu, Barangay Commonwealth, Liberino Dy Nuneza Jr., 51 years old, married a resident of Purok Nuneza, Barangay, Kahayagan and Artemio Eguia Manatad, 49 years old, married, a resident of Purok Sta. Cruz, Barangay Balide, All Of Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur. Confiscated from their possession and control were: cash money worth one thousand nine hundred and ninety five (₱1,195.00) pesos in different denominations and gambling paraphernalia. The arrested persons and the confiscated items were brought to Aurora MPS for proper disposition.

DUMALINAO - A drug buy-bust operation conducted by Dumalinao MPS at Purok Acasia, Barangay Sumadat, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 8:00 PM of July 11, 2017. The operation resulted in the arrest of Rey Amante Rocero Aka Bobong,  listed under level 2 High Value Target (HVT) 40 years old, married a lineman of Zamsureco 1 and a resident of Purok Acasia, Sumadat, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur.  Confiscated from his possession and control were: (4) sachets of heat sealed transparent plastic sachet of suspected shabu, two (2) units of Samsung cellular phone, drugs paraphernalia and one hundred twenty (₱120.00) pesos bills in different denominations as marked money. the inventory of the seized items were witness by Hon. Helen Encabo, Vice Mayor Of Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur And Mr. Ferdinand Libor, Media Representative. The accused is temporarily detained at Dumalinao MPS for proper disposition.

Arrest of Wanted Persons

SAN PABLO - Operatives of San Pablo MPS conducted operation against wanted persons at Barangay Poblacion, San Pablo, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 4:00 PM on July 10, 2017. This resulted in the arrest of Francisco Piedros Ragamac, 49 years old, fisherman, widower, a resident of Purok Manga, Barangay Tandubuay, San Pablo and Magdalina Labador Lastimosa, 59 years old, fish vendor, widow and a resident of Purok Makiangayon, Barangay Poblacion, San Pablo. Both were arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for violation of art 172, RPC in relation to art 171 of rpc issued by Hon. Dennis P. Vicoy, Presiding Judge Of Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region Branch 20, Pagadian City docketed under cc# 13521-2k17 with recommended bail fixed at twelve thousand pesos (12,000.00) each.  Both suspects were presently detained at said police station for proper disposition.

Stabbing Incident

BAYOG - Stabbing incident has transpired at Purok 6, Barangay Damit, Bayog, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 10:15 AM of July 9, 2017. Investigation disclosed that the victim identified as Pablito Etang Saludes, 33 years old, single, was stabbed by his brother-in-law identified as Sandy Decierdo Amad, 36 years old, married, both farmer and all resident of the above-mentioned place. Further investigation disclosed that victim was sleeping on the bench inside the house of his sister-in-law Mary Grace Mendoza Saludes, when the suspect arrived and asked for breakfast. after eating the suspect was standing at the door and the sister in law of the victim left them on the sala and got inside her bed room to get his cellphone, however, when Mary Grace Mendoza Saludes came out she saw the victim already wounded and the suspect was already walking going to his residential house. As a result the victim sustained stabbed wound on his right arm and brought to Bayog Rural Health Unit for first aid while the suspect was arrested and recovered from his possession one (1) bolo with scabbard measuring 19 inches long including its handle and brought to this station for proper disposition.

JOSEFINA MPS PERSONNEL RESPONDED TO THE REPORTED PLACE AND CAME UPON THE VICTIM IDENTIFIED AS DAVE NOMER TUMATOB MANIEGO, 13 YEARS OLD, GRADE 8 STUDENT, AND RESIDENT OF SAID PLACE, WHO SUSTAINED A WOUND TO HIS HEAD BELIEVED TO BE HIT BY A HARD WOODEN OBJECT WHICH RESULTED IN HIS INSTANTANEOUS DEATH. INVESTIGATION DISCLOSED THAT AT ABOUT 12:10 PM ON JUNE 7, 2017, THE VICTIM LEFT FROM DAWA NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL IN BRGY. DAWA, JOSEFINA. DAWA, JOSEFINA, ZAMBOANGA DEL SUR, WAS INVITED TO JOSEFINA MPS TO SHED LIGHT ON A MAULING INCIDENT THAT LED TO THE DEATH OF ANOTHER STUDENT. REYMARK WAS THE LAST PERSON SEEN WITH THE VICTIM BEFORE THE INCIDENT HAPPENED. AT ABOUT 2:35 PM ON JULY 8, 2017, PO3 JESSIE FE C. SANJORJO, WCPD PNCO, INTERVIEWED THE SUSPECT, WHO EVENTUALLY ADMITTED THAT HE WAS THE ONE WHO KILLED THE VICTIM. CONSIDERING THAT REYMARK IS A MINOR, PO3 SANJORJO SOUGHT THE ASSISTANCE OF MRS. ROSIE MUNDAN, MSWD OFFICER OF SAID MUNICIPALITY. FURTHER QUESTIONING ON THE SUSPECT BY MRS. MUNDAN AND THE WCPD PNCO REVEALED FURTHER DETAILS OF THE CRIME. REYMARK NARRATED THAT THE INCIDENT TRANSPIRED ON JULY 7, 2017 AT ABOUT 2:45 PM AT THE COCONUT DRIER NEAR THE BARANGAY ROAD WHERE BOTH REYMARK AND THE VICTIM (DAVE NOMER) TOOK SHELTER WHILE WAITING FOR THE RAIN TO STOP. HE MAULED THE VICTIM THRICE USING A 3’4” LONG AND TWO (2) INCHES IN DIAMETER ROUND TIMBER ONCE TO THE VICTIM’S FOREHEAD AND TWICE TO THE FACE. RIGHT AFTER THE INCIDENT, HE DRAGGED THE VICTIM FROM THE COCONUT DRIER TO THE BACK OF A GEMILINA TREE WHICH IS APPROXIMATELY 105 FEET AWAY FROM THE CRIME SCENE TO HIDE HIS BODY. FURTHERMORE, THE SUSPECT REVEALED THAT HE GOT ANGRY WITH THE VICTIM BECAUSE HE KEPT ON BULLYING HIM EVERY TIME THEY SEE EACH OTHER. THIS CONSTANT BULLYING MADE HIM HARBOR SO MUCH HATRED ON THE VICTIM AND RESULTED IN THE KILLING.  AT ABOUT 3:30 PM ON JULY 8, 2017, PO3 JESSIE FE SANJORJO, PO3 ALFREDO REPE IOC, MRS. Confiscated from his possession were: four (4) sachets of suspected shabu with an estimate of 10 grams and estimated value of P35, 000 including the buy-bust item, Php 2,000 (buy-bust money), one unit Samsung cellphone, and one record book.  Suspect was brought to PDEA9 lock-up cell for proper disposition.

Arrest of Wanted Person

SOMINOT - Combined operatives of Sominot MPS and Bonifacio MPS conducted joint manhunt operation at Purok 2, Brgy. Datagan, Sominot, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 7:00 AM of July 6, 2017. This resulted to the arrest of Jovie Mier Timbao, 31 years old, single, laborer of same place. He was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest for the crime of murder, docketed under cc# tc-2007-014, issued by Hon. Sylvia A. Singidas - Machacon, Executive Judge of RTC 10th Judicial Region, Branch 16, Tangub City, and Dated January 25, 2011. No bail bond recommended. Arrested subject person is presently detained at Bonifacio MPS for proper disposition.
