Hot Pursuit Operation of Zamboanga Del Sur Police In connection with the Shooting Incident @ Tambulig

TAMBULIG, Zamboanga del Sur - On September 27, 2018at about 5:10 PM, joint hot pursuit operation was conducted by PNP personnel of Tambulig MPS, Provincial Intelligence Branch, ZamboangaSibugayPPO and Bonifacio MPS, MissamisOccidental in coordination with Ramon Magsaysay MPSin connection with the shooting incident that transpired at about 7:18 PM of September 26, 2018 at P2, Happy Valley, Tambulig, Zamboanga del Sur, particularly in front of the Seventh Day Adventist Church wherein victim was identified as one Nellie Romo y Paso, 45 y/o, female, married, businesswoman, a resident of Lilo-an, Bonifacio, Misamis Occidental and temporarily residing at Happy Valley, Tambulig, Zamboanga del Sur.

The suspect of the said incident was positively identified by the witnesses thru the retrieval of CCTV footage from Coco Lumber owned by Bodiongan Familylocated at the above mentioned place and thru the information given by the confidential informant of the operating team as George Paglinawan y Perez (who was later known with his other personal circumstances) 39 years old, male, married, jobless, w/ residence at Brgy. Kapamanok, San Pablo, Zamboanga del Sur (formerly residing at Campo 5, R.M., Zamboanga del Sur, with other known address at Brgy. Dupol, Bonifacio, Misamis Occidental).

Investigation further disclosed that during the conduct of hot pursuit operation, suspect was seen at Purok 1-B, Brgy. Switch, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga Del Sur. However, when the operating team approached the suspect for his possible arrest, suspect then drew his handgun from his right waist and fired towards the operating team which prompted one of the PNP personnel to returned fire hitting the back portion of his body which resulted his death. Suspect is now lying in Valley of Angels Funeral Homes, Molave, ZamboangaDel Sur.

Recovered from the crime scene that was processed by the PNP personnel from Provincial Crime Laboratory Office, Camp Abelon, Pagadian City were as follows; one (1) empty cartridge case of cal. 45, one (1) empty cartridge case of cal. 5.56 m16 rifle, alleged caliber 45 pistol w/ chamber inserted with magazine loaded with six (6) live ammunitions found beside the suspect. On the other hand, recovered from the actual possession of the suspect were thirteen (13) live ammunitions of cal. 45 wrapped in a white sock, two (2) extra magazine of cal. 45 loaded with seven (7) live ammunitions each, personal belongings that includes wallet and identification cards, sunglass, one (1) unit cellular phone with brand name QNET (pictures attached P2).

In addition thereto, the aforementioned cellular phone together with one unit Honda single motorcycle with color combination black, red and white with Chassis No. KWM 0000437, and Engine No. KWM00E000408, without Plate Number that was used by the suspect was brought to Tambulig MPS for further verification.

2 injured in Road Crash Accident

TIGBAO, Zamboanga Del Sur (Sept. 27, 2018) – Two persons were injured inTraffic accident transpired along the National Highway particularly at Purok Makugihon, Barangay Begong Tigbao, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 7:45 AM of September 25, 2018.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that while the Single Motorcycle Suzuki, color red, with plate number 090109, driven by Benjamin Celebrado Jr. y Palanas, 43 years old, married, security guard and a residence of Purok Hillside, Upper- Nilo Tigbao Zamboanga del Sur was allegedly sideswiped one pedestrian.

The victim identified as Flora Lico y Alvarado, 47 years old, married, housewife and a residence of Purok Makugihon, Begong, Tigbao, Zamboanga del Sur.

Investigation revealed that above-mentioned single motorcycle was navigating the national highway from Pagadian City bound for Barangay Upper- Nilo, Tigbao, Zamboaga del Sur and upon reaching the place of incident, said single motorcycle was accidentally sideswiped the victim while walking along road.

Victim sustained physical injuries and immediately transported to Cabahog Hospital, Pagadian City for medication while the motorcycle driver sustained minor physical injuries and brought to Tigbao Rural Health Clinic for medical treatment.

Shooting Incident

MARGOSATUBIG, Zamboanga Del Sur (Sept. 27. 2018) - Shooting incident transpired at Lopez Jaena St. Brgy. Poblacion Margosaubig, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 12:30 PM of September 25, 2018, wherein victim identified as one Mario P. Salaman, 42, married and a resident at Purok Malipayon, Brgy. Mulom, Lapuyan Zamboanga Del Sur. The victim was shot by unidentified suspect.

Victim sustained gunshot wound on his head and rushed to Margosatubig Regional Hospital for Medical Treatment but was pronounced Dead on Arrival by attending Physician Dr. Golden I. Tamon M.D.

Suspect fled unseen direction. Recovered from the scene were one empty shell of cal. 45 and subject for ballistic examination.

Margosatubig MPS conducted follow-up investigation and hot pursuit operation for the possible identity and arrest of the suspect.

September 22, 2018 -Reported Incident

Wanted Person Arrested in Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur

MAHAYAG, Zambonga 3el Sur (Sept. 25, 2018) – The Police operatives of Mahayag MPS conducted manhunt operation at Purok 5, Brgy. Boniao, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 8:00 AM of September 21, 2018.

The operation was led to the arrest of Elsa Camus Loyola, female, 52 years old, separated, farmer and a resident of Purok 5, Brgy. Boniao, Mahayag.

The accused was arrested for the crime of Estafa docketed under criminal case no. 5133-M and 5132-M dated September 14, 2018 with bail bond recommended for her temporary liberty fixed in the amount of Ten Thousand Pesos (Php10,000.00) each.

The Warrant of arrest was issued by Presiding Judge Crislyn C. Pangindian of 11th MCTC of Mahayag-Dumingag-Josefina, Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur.

Subject wanted person was brought to Mahayag Municipal Police Station, Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur for proper documentations and disposition.

1 killed, 1 wounded in Stabbing Incident

MOLAVE, Zamboanga cel Sur (Sept. 25, 2018) – One woman was killed while her husband wand wounded in a stabbing incident on September 20, 2018 at about 2:20pm.

Molave MPS received a phone call from a concerned citizen that an unidentified woman allegedly dead was laying on her blood along the road of Bonifacio St, Barangay Madasigon, Molave, Zamboanga del Sur.

The PNP personnel of Molave MPS responded and found the woman on the road laying on her blood.

The Investigator of Molave MPS conducted investigation and found that the said woman is dead and sustained multiple stabbed wounds.

While searching for possible evidence another person laying at the door step of a certain boarding house inside a compound just five meters away from where the woman was laying.

Said person sustained wounds but still breathing and immediately brought to Salug Valley Medical Center, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur for medical treatment. 

The women identified as Joy Lumanta Lajos, 37 years old, saleslady, a resident of Barangay Tuluan, Tambulig, Zamboanga del Sur and the person was her husband Weneboy Camporedondo Lajos, 38 years old, jobless, a resident of Barangay Tuluan, Tambulig, Zamboanga del Sur.

At around 7:00 pm Weneboy Lajos was transferred to MHARSGEN Hospital located at Ozamis City.

Initial investigation disclosed that the wounds sustained by Weneboy Lajos the husband of the victim was self-inflected to use as alibi to his involvement in the incident.

The daughter of the victim namely Wene Jane L. Lajos, 17 years old, student, came to Molave MPS and identify the knife that was recovered from the incident that it was the knife of her father from their house at Brgy. Tuluan, Tambulig, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The motive of incident is still to be determined. Investigator on case is PO1 Prildem R Fajardo CP No. 09121902323.

Drug Pusher Arrested in Pagadian City

PAGADIAN CITY (Sept. 25, 2018) – The Enforcement Team of Pagadian City Police Station conducted buy-bust operation on illegal drugs at about 2:00 AM of September 22, 2018 in P4M Lodging House, Purok Sampaguita, San Pedro, Pagadian City.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of one Abdullah Mulok Itabuan, 18 years old, male, single, jobless, Filipino, and a resident of Dao, Pagadian City.

Recovered from the possession of the subject are the following;

a.) Three pieces heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be methamphetamine hydrochloride locally known as “shabu” and

b) one five hundred peso (500) bill as marked money bearing serial number DZ930478. Inventory of seized illegal drugs and marked money was done at P4M Lodging House, Prk Sampaguita, San Pedro, Pagadian City.

The seized alleged illegal drugs was submitted to the Provincial Crime Laboratory (PCLO), Zamboanga Sibugay for quantitative and qualitative examination as well as the arrested suspect for drug test examination. A case in violation of R.A 9165 known as “Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002” will be filed with the pertinent supporting documents for appropriate charges in court.

Mauling/Stabbing Incident

MOLAVE, Zamboanga del Sur (Sept. 25, 2018) - A mauling/stabbing incident occurred in front of Saint Ferrer Parish Church, Capistrano Street, Barangay Madasigon, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 3:40 AM of September 23, 2018.

The victim identified as one Benjamin Monteza Sabellano Jr., 37 years old, male, single, butcher by occupation and resident of Aquino Street, Barangay Makuguihon, Molave, he was mauled and stabbed by more than one persons.

The suspects were identified as:

Melvin Hawgin alias “Dayday”, male, estimated 20 years old, a resident of  Sitio Susayan, Barangay Dalawon, Molave,;

Ronilo Bansal y Manago, 29 years old, married;

Ronel Batoon Palongpalong, 17 years old, both male, married and single respectively and residents of Purok Olive, Barangay Bogo Capalaran, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur;

Loremer Lampitao and Mark Jay Cristatoy y Gumilos.

PNP elements of Molave MPS arrested two of the suspects identified as Ronilo M. Bansal, and Ronel B Palongpalong. 

The victim sustained stabbed wounds and injuries on the face, head and different parts of his body and brought to Salug Valley Medical Center, Molave.

PNP elements of Molave MPS is now conducting hot pursuit operation against the other fleeing suspects Melvin Hawgin alias “Dayday”,Loremer Lampitao and Mark Jay Cristatoy y Gumilos.

Meanwhile, Ronilo Bansal is now under custody of Molave MPS while Ronnel Palongpalong turned-over to DSWD, Molave. The Investigator on case is SPO2 Genmaidee F Jabello with CP No. 09998348816.

Shooting Incident

DINAS, Zamboanga del Sur (Sept. 25, 2018) - Shooting incident transpired at Purok Santol, Sitio Cogon, Barangay Sumpotan, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 8:30 PM of September 23, 2018.

The victim identified as Joniso Jabordo y Medina, 50 years old, separated, male a residents of Purok Santol, Sitio Cogon, Barangay Sumpotan, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur was shot to death by unidentified suspect.

Initial investigation conducted by PNP elements of Dinas MPS revealed that the victim and the suspect having a conversation at the house of Jaime Brigondo Atig(neighbors) while celebrating sitio fiesta therein.

Thereafter in the heights of their conversation come into a heated argumentation and the suspect shot the victim once hitting on his abdomen using undetermined caliber of firearm.

The suspect was immediately fled away to unknown direction after the incident. Dinas MPS conducted hot pursuit operation for the possible arrest of the suspect/s.

Motive of the incident is still to be determined. Investigator is PO2 Jonar R. Cortez cp no 09985986809.

Shooting Incident

RAMON MAGSAYSAY, Zamboanga del Sur (Sept. 25, 2018) - Shooting incident transpired at Purok 2, Barangay Switch, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 8:00 PM of September 23, 2018.

The victim identified as Rogelio Cañete y Mensurado, 26 years old, male, single, farmer, and a resident of Purok 1-B, Brgy. Switch, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga Del Sur, one unidentified suspect shot him using caliber 45 short firearms based on empty shells recovered from the crime scene. 

Initial investigation conducted by responding PNP team of Ramon Magsaysay that a heated argument due to traffic mishaps involving the suspect and Benjor Languido y Lumosad, 24 years old, male, single and a resident of Purok 12, Barangay Poblacion, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga Del Sur.

 The allegedly suspect punch Benjor Languido on the face, that’s the time Rogelio Cañete rush to the scene to help and pacify the situation, but the suspect also punch him hitting his face. There and then the suspect pulled out the undetermined caliber of short firearm and fired two gunshot on Rogelio Cañete, luckily the latter was able to run for his life but he sustained two GSW on his left and right thighs and was brought to Blancia Hospital, Molave Zamboanga del Sur for medical treatments .

The suspect immediately fled to the direction of Molave, Zamboanga del Sur. Recovered at the crime scene two empty shells of Caliber .45 and one fired slug. Investigator on-case is PO1 Rogelio S. Awa Jr. with CP No. 09098351899. (By JONG CADION)

Man Arrested in Margosatubigfor the crime of Alarm and Scandals

MARGOSATUBIG, Zamboanga del Sur (Sept. 21, 2018) - PNP personnel of MargosatubigMPS, conducted police operation on wanted person (Service of Arrest Warrant) at about 10:00AM of September 19, 2018 at PurokAnahaw, Brgy. Kalian, Margosatubig, ZamboangaDel Sur.

The operation resulted to the arrest of one ArnulfoCatipay Y Cueto, 53 years old, male, farmer and a resident of PurokAnahaw, Barangay Balintawak, Margosatubig,ZamboangaDel Sur.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrestfor the crime of Alarm and Scandals with Criminal Case No. 18-047 issued by Hon. Ruben N. Bance, Presiding Judge of 9th Judicial Region, RTC, Branch 29, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur.

The WoA was issued dated June 5, 2018, with a bail bond recommended of One Hundred Twenty Thousand Pesos (Php120,000.00) for his temporary liberty.

The subject-arrested person is now under the custody of Margosatubig MPS for proper disposition. 

Violation of RA 7942, Sec 103 Theft of Minerals

PAGADIAN CITY (Sept. 21, 2018) - An apprehension in violation of RA 7942 , Sec 103 Theft of Minerals at about 4:00 PM of September 19, 2018 during the conduct of random checkpoint operation at Purok Gemilina, Macasing, Pagadian City.

Suspects are identified as:

Vengie Aranez Aranas, 41 years old, male, Filipino, married and a resident of Purok Nangka, Lenienza, Pagadian City and

Joel Arias Manipis, 47 years old, male, Filipino, married and a resident of Purok 6, Bobongan, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The apprehension transpired when a team of PNP personnel of Pagadian CPS - deputized to conduct apprehension and seized illegally-sourced minerals and by-products including tools, conveyances and equipment of DENR-MGB, conducted checkpoint operation at Y-intersection of Purok Gemilina, Macasing, Pagadian City.

Two 10-wheeler dump truck;

(V1)Plate No. AAE2830 driven Vengie Aranez Aranas and

(V2) Plate No. 070109 driven by Joel Arias Manipis are stopped and verified.

Both drivers failed to show pertinent permits/documents surrounding the aggregates they had transported.

Initial investigation disclosed that each dump truck was loaded with eight cubic meters of aggregates to a total of sixteen cubic meters with an estimated amount of Sixteen Thousand Pesos (Php16,000.00).

Thus, the drivers violated RA 7942, Sec 103 Theft of Minerals, there and then both are placed on arrest after being apprised of their rights under Miranda Doctrine and are temporarily held in custody of this station as well as the conveyances (dump trucks) and aggregates while an appropriate charge in court is being prepared.

1 dead in Road Crash Accident

SAN MIGUEL, Zamboanga del Sur (Sept. 21, 20118) – One person was died in Vehicular incident transpired at Purok Ipil-ipil, Bulawan, San Miguel, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 1:30 PM of September 19, 2018.

Initial investigation disclosed that the victim identified as Rogelio Donguines Y Javelo, 50 years old, fish vendor and a resident of Purok Balimbingan Labangan on board with his Honda CB125 colored blue single MC with temporary plate No. 0920-.

He was travelling from Margosatubig to Pagadian City purposely to transport fish upon reaching at Purok Ipil-ipil, Bulawan San Miguel, the victim was accidentally crashed into the left side shoulder of the road and accidentally hit his forehead on the rock.

The victim was then brought to Rural Health Unit of San Miguel for medical attention but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.

Shooting Incident

SAN PABLO, Zamboanga delo Sur (Sept. 21, 2018) - Shooting incident transpired at, Purok Malipayon, Poblacion, San Pablo, Zamboanga Del Sur particularly at the back of San Pablo Municipal gymnasium at about 8:45 PM of September 17, 2018.

The victim identified as Norma Apiag y Edimne, female, 64 years old, married, businesswoman and a resident of the aforesaid place.

The victim was shot by unidentified person and was brought immediately to Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center, Dao, Pagadian City and pronounce dead upon arrival by the attending physician.

Right after the incident, the perpetrator believed to be withdrawn going to the western part of San Pablo, Zamboanga del sur.

San Pablo is now conducting hot pursuit operation for possible arrest of the perpetrator. Motive of the incident is still to be determined.

Shooting Incident

LABANGAN, Zamboanga del Sur (Sept. 21, 2018) - Shooting incident transpired at Purok Greenfield, Old Labangan, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur 10:00 AM of September 16, 2018. wherein

The victim identified as Junrel Malolot y Decierdo, 21 years old, married, farmer and a resident of said place.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed, prior to the incident, the victim passed-by, near the house of the suspect identified as Latip Dagadas "aka" Latip Guimba, 40 years old, married, farmer, and a resident of same place.

Victim noticed that the said suspect ran inside his house and right thereafter went outside already armed with High Powered Firearm (M14 Rifle) and there and then said suspect shot the victim several times without hesitation which the victim prompted to ran away for his safety.   

Fortunately, victim was not hit and successfully escaped from the brutal attacked from the suspect while the suspect fled unseen direction after the incident. Motive of the incident is personal grudge.  

Hacking Incident

LABANGAN, Zamboanga del Sur (Sept. 21, 2018) - Hacking incident transpired at Purok Manga, Nuburan, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 8:30 AM of September 19, 2018.

The victim was identified as Jenalyn Gabrillas y Rebundas, 30 years old, live-in, housekeeper and a resident of said afore-said place.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed, prior to the incident, the victim was walking together with her daughter going to Nuboran Elementary School and upon reaching at the vicinity of Purok Manga of the said place particularly beside the creek one identified suspect Jaime Onding y Licayan, 48 years old, farmer, married and a resident of same place followed her.

He was armed with a bolo and after heated conversation the suspect hacked the victim and immediately fled towards to his home.

Victim sustained one hacked wound at the left portion of her head and brought to Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center for medication while the suspect voluntarily surrendered himself to the Brgy.

Chairman of Nuboran, Labangan and was properly turned-over to Labangan MPS for proper filing of the case.

Likewise, the bolo with a measurement of 16 inches long that was used in the commission of the crime was also turned-over to this station for proper disposition. Motive of the incident is believed to be personal grudge.

The investigator PO3 Cristopher M. Omamos with cellphone number 09101605319 is now preparing a case of Frustrated Homicide against the suspect.

Shooting Incident

LABANGAN, Zamboanga del Sur (Sept. 2018) - Shooting incident transpired at Purok Greenfield, Old Labangan, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 10:00am of September 16, 2018.

The victim was identified as Junrel Malolot y Decierdo, 21 years old, married, farmer and a resident of said place.

Motor Vehicular Traffic Accident

DUMALINAO. Zamboanga del Sur (Sept. 18, 2018) -  A Motor vehicular traffic accident (MVTA) transpired at about 5:20 PM of September 14, 2018 along the National Road Boundary of Barangay Tickwas crossing of Purok Magallanes, Barangay Malasik, all of Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The accident was involving one utility passenger van (Nissan Brand), color white with black combination on his lower part of the vehicles body with Plate Nr GSB-539, owned and registered under the name of certain Mr Ezomarr Nitollama, a resident of Poblacion Lapuyan. The vehicle was driven by Melvin Christian Lahagan Montibon, 25, married, and a resident of Purok Villiana, Barangay Salambuyan, Poblacion Lapuyan, Zamboanga Del Sur.

Accordingly while traversing on the abovementioned placed, the said driver accidentally loss control of his vehicle due to mechanical brake failure in which the said driver eluded one passenger van on his front and overtaking going to his right side of the road in which also during that time disembarking passengers.

As a result instantaneously hitting/bumped the following persons namely:

Michael Rullen, 33 yrs. old, married, a conductor by profession and a resident of Purok Bonifacio, Brgy Tickwas, Dumalinao,

One bystander named Cesar Carpentero Dela Torre, 20, single, student, and a resident of Purok Magallanes, Brgy Tickwas, Dumalinao, and three other passengers from the passenger van namedly:

Jessel Gaston, 24 yrs. old, single, plain housewife by proffession with his one month old baby and her mother

Mrs Kristina Gaston, 47 yrs old, both resident of Purok Marang, Barangay Malasik, Dumalinao.

All victims’ suffered head contusions; fractured legs, thigh and knees, and multiple serious physical injuries to the different parts of their bodies were immediately rushed to the nearest hospital for medical treatment, while the baby is now under observation by the doctors at Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center, Dao Pagadian City.

Hacking Incident

AURORA, Zambonga del Sur (Sept. 18, 2018) - A hacking incident transpired at Purok Magat, Brgy Cabilinan, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 10:25 PM of September 15, 2018.

Immediately, PNP team of Aurora proceeded to the above-mentioned place to verify the said report.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that at about 10:15 PM of the same date, victim identified as one Joel Petiluna Y Terez, 31 years old, married, carpenter by occupation and a resident of Purok Badak, Brgy Cabilinan, Aurora, under the influence of intoxicating liquor.

He went to the house of the suspect identified as one Eustiquo Colubio Y Erap, 64 years old, married, farmer by occupation and a resident of aforesaid place (father-in-law of the victim). Arguments ensued between them.

That the suspect (Eustiquo) gets a scythe and hacked the victim several times hitting his head and arm.   

The victim Joel Petiluna Y Terez sustained a hacked wound on his head, chin and left finger and was brought immediately to Aurora Community Emergency (ACE) Hospital, situated at Brgy Cabilinan, Aurora, for medical treatment.

The suspect voluntarily surrendered to Punong Barangay Demar Quiño and now temporarily detained at Aurora MPS custodial facility for proper disposition.

September 14, 2018 Reported Incident

Estafa suspect nabbed

PAGADIAN CITY (Sept. 16, 2018) – The Combined operatives of Pitogo MPS and Pagadian City Police Station nabbed woman during the conduct of manhunt operation at Barangay Lower Panikian, Pitogo, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 9:00am of September 14, 2018

The operating troops identified the arrested woman as Divina Buton Y Ruiz, 40 years old, female, married, and a resident in Purok 1, Lower Panikian, Pitogo, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The operating team arrested the accused woman by virtue of  Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Estafa docketed under criminal case number 10902-2K13 issued on July 27, 2018 by Hon. Felix B. Rodriguez, Presiding Judge of 9th Regional Judicial Region, Branch 18, Pagadian City with bail recommended of Eighty Thousand Pesos (Ph80,000.00).   

The arrested subject person is now under the custody of Pitogo MPS for proper disposition.  

Man Arrested for the crime of Grave Threats

TAMBULIG, Zamboanga del Sur (Sept. 16, 2018) – The PNP personnel of Tambulig MPS conducted police operation on wanted person (Service of Arrest Warrant) at about 12:05 PM of September 13, 2018 at Purok Jakarta, Brgy Alang-alang, Tambulig, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of one Albert Arado Y Lagunay 49 years old, married, resident of Purok Jakarta, Brgy Alang-alang Tambulig,, Zamboanga del Sur. 

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Grave Threats with Criminal Case number 3126 issued by Hon. Carol M. Morales, Presiding Judge of 1st Municipal Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region, Tambulig, Zamboanga del Sur dated September 13, 2018 with a bail bond recommended  of  Twelve Thousand Pesos(Php12,000.00) for his temporary liberty.

The subject arrested person is now under the custody of Tambulig MPS for proper disposition. 

1 person died in Vehicular Traffic Accident

DUMINGAG, Zambonga del Sur. (Sept. 16, 2018) – One person was died in Vehicular traffic accident transpired along National Highway of Sitio Mauswagon, Barangay Lower landing, Dumingag, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 4:50 PM of September 13, 2018.

Victim was identified as Erie Saren Maata, 24 years of age, single and a resident of Brgy. New Basak, Dumingag, Zamboanga Del Sur.

Investigation conducted disclosed that the victim was driving his single motorcycle Honda XRM 125 color red without plate heading towards town proper of Dumingag, Zamboanga Del Sur.

Upon reaching at the above said place of incident, it instantly crashed and headed directly to the crick of the road. 

As a result thereof, the above-named person sustained multiple head injuries and lacerations that resulted to his untimely death. The Said person is under the influenced of liquor.  (By JONG CADION)

Rape Suspect Arrested in Ozamis City

PAGADIAN CITY (Sept. 14, 2018) – The joint PNP personnel of 902nd Maneuver Company of RMFB9 and Ozamis City Police Station, Pagadian City Police Station, Regional Intelligence Division 9-Task Force Tugis successfully arrested the rape suspect during the conduct of law enforcement operation at Barangay Aguada Ozamis City at around 6:30pm of September 12, 2018, police official said.

Police Regional Office 9 PIO Chief PCINS Helen L. Galvez identified the arrested rape suspect as Arturo Carbajosa Y Palad, 38 years old, male married, construction worker and a resident of Purok Curvada, Dao Pagadian City.

Galvez disclosed that the operating team arrested the accused for the crime of Statutory Rape under criminal case no. 13880-2k18, with no bail bond recommended dated May 13, 2018 and the said warrant of arrest was duly issued by Judge Analyn F. Ramas-Costanilla, Acting Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Regional Branch 22, Pagadian City.

The Suspect was then brought to Ozamiz City Police Station for proper disposition and for the return of subject warrant of arrest to the issuing court, Galvez said. 

Dead Body Found in Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur

DUMALINAO, Zamboanga del Sur (Sept 14, 2018) -  A dead body was found at Purok Pag-asa, Brgy Bibilik, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 5:00 AM of September 12, 2018.

Immediately, PNP personnel of Dumalinao MPS together with Dr Patrick Kean Toledo, municipal doctor proceeded to the above-mentioned place and found one dead body later identified as Alex Balagot Diana, 42 years old, married, fisherman and a resident of Purok Bay-bay Uno, Poloyagan, Pagadian City.

Investigation conducted that the victim was seen having a drinking session with his relatives Nelson Arcenal and Manie Estoya.

Later, the victim went to swim at the nearby shore during high tide and to their surprise saw the victim floating along the shore already lifeless and believe that the victim was accidentally drown due to strong sea current. The relatives already claimed the cadaver.

P150K property damaged by Fire Incident

LABANGAN, Zamboanga del Sur (Sept. 14, 2018) - Fire incident transpired at the SSBN barracks inside the camp of 1st Infantry Tabak Division, Camp. Major L Sang-an, Upper Pulacan, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 7:00pm of September 12, 2018.

Initial investigation conducted, with an interview with CPL Luis B Salarda the person that first noticed the blaze disclosed that at the time the fire caught his attention it was already in fully developed stage that he can no longer pin point the exact location of the origin or where it really started. All he can do is to inform his superiors and find a way to contact the fire station for assistance.       

With the hasty response of the Tabak Fire Brigade and responding Pagadian City Fire fighters the incident was declared under control at about 7:45 pm of same date and was totally declared fire out at exactly 8:05 of the same date.

Property loss amounting to more or less One Hundred  Fifty thousand Pesos (Php150,000.00) to covered the worth of the building and one unit M16 ripple with  360 rounds of ammunitions and a laptop computer without incurring any casualty. Cause of fire still under investigation by the City Fire Marshall.

Arsonist Arrested in Pitogo, Zamboanga Del Sur

PITOGO, Zamboanga del Sur ( Sept. 14, 2018) – The Operative of Pitogo Municipal Police Station arrested wanted person during the conduct of Intel Driven Operation at Purok 1, Brgy Balong-balong, Pitogo, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 12:15 PM of September 12, 2018.

The operating team identrified the arrested wanted person as Ignacio Delacerna Lingatong, male, 64 years old, married, fisherman and a resident of above-mentioned place.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest docketed under Criminal Case # No 15-135 for the crime of “Arson (under SEC. 3(4) of P.D. NO. 1613” with no bail recommended issued by Hon. Ruben N Bance, Presiding Judge, RTC 9th Judicial Region, Branch 29, San Miguel, Zamboanga Del Sur issued on July 14, 2016. 

The accused is now temporarily under custodial investigation of Pitogo MPS for documentation and will be turn over to the issuing court for proper disposition.  (By JONG CADION)

Shooting Incident

DIMATALING, Zamboanga del Sur )Sept. 12, 2018) - Shooting incident transpired at Public plaza, Barangay Kagawasan, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 12:30 PM of September 11, 2018.

The victim was identified as Arturo Libre Aka Balter, of legal age, married, Habal Habal driver and a resident of Barangay Tiniguangan, Dimataling Zamboanga Del Sur.

The PNP Personnel of Dimataling MPS conducted hot pursuit operation against the unidentified fleeing suspects but turn into negative result.

The suspect/s fled onboard of a single motorcycle heading towards Municipality of Dinas, Zamboanga del Sur, The victim sustain injury and immediately brought to Jofileña Hospital in Pagadian City for treatment.

Investigation is now conducted by Dimataling MPS for possible identification of suspect/s and the motive of incident.

Stabbing Incident

PITOGO, Zamboanga del Sur (Sept. 12, 2018) - Stabbing incident transpired at Purok 4, Barangay Balong Balong, Pitogo, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 6:30 PM of September 11, 2018.

The PNP elements of Pitogo MPS proceeded to the area and conducted investigation.

The victim identified as Jobito Dela Cerna Barioga, 44 years old, male, married, farmer and resident of Purok 5, Barangay Sugbay 1, Dimataling, Zamboanga del Sur and sustained one stabbed wound on his left chest and immediately brought at Rural Health Office, Barangay Poblacion, Pitogo, Zamboanga del Sur for medical treatment. The victim was later transfer to Zamboanga del Sur Medical Center, Barangay Dao, Pagadian City due to the victim condition.

The suspect was arrested and identified as Rodel Endab Verano, 31 years old, male, single (live-in), farmer and resident of Purok 4, Barangay Balong Balong, Pitogo, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The suspect is under the custody of Pitogo MPS for proper disposition together with the turned over evidence one (1) bladed weapon used by the suspect.

Vehicular Traffic Accident

SAN MIGUEL, Zamboanga del Sur (Sept. 12, 2018) - Vehicular accident transpired at Purok 5, Barangay Mati, San Miguel, Zambonga Del Sur at about 5:00 PM of September 11, 2018, wherein one passenger van (Nissan NV350, white, with temporary plate no. 100105 driven by Jeffrey Sarcaoga Luna, 53, a resident of Brgy. Canunan, Dumalinao and owned by a certain Gilbert Villarta, a resident of Guipos, Zamboanga Del Sur.

TRhe vehicle was bounding from Pagadian City to Margosatubig, ZDS accidentally lose control upon passing to a slippery road at the aforementioned area which eventually hit the road side barriers and thereafter roll over his way out of the road to a grassy area.

The said passenger van contains five passengers namely:

Johnie Carillo Y Gloria, 45, Prok 5, Brgy Betinan, San Miguel;

Ana Pascua Y Ganub, 39, Purok Caimito, Bragy Kalian, Margosatubig;

Adela Daga Y Halandoni, 58, Bragy Molum, Lapuyan;

Zeneth Calunsag Y Villegas, 47, Poblacion San Miguel and

Narcisa Dima Quirong, 53, Purok 1, Brgy Bulawan, Lapuyan, They were immediately rushed to Margosatubig Regional Hospital for proper medication.

Further, one of the victims, Narcisa Dima Quirong, was transferred to Jamelarin Hospital, Pagadian City.

Motor Vehicular Traffic Accident

LABANGAN, Zamboanga del Sur (Sept. 10, 2018) - Motor vehicular traffic accident transpired along the National Highway of Barangay Lantian, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 6:12 AM of September 8, 2018.

The accident were involving vehicles:

(Vehicle “A”) the Rural Transit (Mindanao) Inc., with Bus Nr 9050, color red/white bearing a plate nr KVU 601, driven by Edison Auman Baliguat, 34 years old, married, Bus driver and a resident of Purok 2, Barangay Katipunan, Ramon Magasaysay, Zamboanga del Sur and

(Vehicle “B”) one Isuzu Truck Elf (Mini Dump Truck) color white bearing a plate number RNX 558, driven by Romeo Olivar Malmis Jr., 24 years old, married and a resident of Sapa Anding, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboagna del Sur.

Initial investigation conducted, vehicle “B” was travelling national highway Pulacan, Labangan, Zambaonga del Sur going to Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur and upon reaching at the place of incident, the said driver of vehicle “B” accidentally lost control the steering wheel and bumped/hit towards the vehicle “A” while in route from Pagadian City going to Ozamis City.

The accident was resulted to the damages of both vehicles and injured the driver of vehicle “B” and the passengers of Vehicle “A”.

Passengers of Vehicle “A” identified as Vergilio Del Castillo, 77 years old a resident of Alta Tierra, Napolan, Pagadian City and Simeon Pomicpic, 43 years old and a resident of Danlugan, Pagadian City brought to Mendero Hospital, Pagadian City.

The Driver of vehicle “B” was in Pagadian Doctors Hospital and his companion Jeremy Benting, 36 years old and a resident of Lapayan, Kauswagan, Lanao del Norte brought to Mendero Hospital at Pagadian City while the driver of vehicle “A” unharmed.

The two vehicles are now in custody of Labangan MPS for proper disposition.

Top No. 5 Most Wanted in Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur, Captured 

DUMALINAO, Zamboanga del Sur (Sept. 10, 2018) -  The Joint PNP Personnel of Tukuran MPS, Dumalinao MPS, Sultan Naga Dimaporo MPS and Regional Intelligence Unit 9 successfully arrested the Top 5 Most Wanted Person during the conduct of manhunt operation at Purok 6, Brgy. Sugod, Sultan Naga Dimaporo, Lanao Del Norte at about 4:30pm of September 09, 2018.

The operating team identified the arrested wanted person as Joven Labor Y Dalingding Aka Joven, 32 years old, fisherman, married, a resident of Barangay Metokong, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur.

The accuaed was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Murder, Frustrated Murder, Attempted Murder docketed under Criminal Case no. 10621-2K12, 11038-2K13, 11377-2K13 issued by Judge Judge Dennis P. Vicoy, Acting Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court Branch 21, 9th Judicial Region Pagadian City.

The WOA was was issued on August 8, 2012 and April 8, 2014 with No Bail bond recommended. 

The arrested wanted person was listed as Top No. 5 Most Wanted (Municipal Level) in Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur and is now under custody of Dumalinao MPS for proper disposition.

Man Held in Pagadian City for Violation of RA 10591

PAGADIAN CITY (Sept. 1`0, 2018) – The PNP elements of Pagadian City Police Station arrested the person of one Remy Buco Bariñan, 44, married, laborer and a resident of Purok Ilang-Ilang, San Jose, Pagadian City on September 8, 2018 at about 9:00pm.

The operating team confiscated from his possession were Caliber .38 revolvers, without serial number and 3 pcs live ammunition.

Initial Investigation disclosed that the suspect and his brother identified as Rudy Buco Bariñan had a heated argument at the above stated residence prompting the police to respond which resulted to the confiscation of said Firearm and arrest of the suspect upon failure to show pertinent documents relative thereto.

Necessary documents are now being prepared for the filing of case against the arrested subject person.  Said firearm is now under the custody of Pagadian CPS for proper disposition. 

Stabbing Incident

PAGADIAN CITY (Sept. 10, 2018) - Stabbing incident transpired at Old Slaughter House, Brgy Dumagoc, Pagadian City at about 6:00 PM of September 9, 2018.

 The victim identified as Mario Onido, of legal age, Brgy Tanod of said barangay and a resident of Prk Silao, Brgy Dumagoc, Pagadian City.

The suspect identified as one Edison Espira who fled unseen after the incident.

The victim was rushed to Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center, Brgy Dao, Pagadian City for medical treatment.

Responding PNP personnel of Pagadian CPS still conducting further investigation to disclosed the motive and hot pursuit operation for the possible arrest of the suspect.

Wanted Person Cuffed in Pagadian City for Attempted Murder

PAGADIAN CITY (Sept. 10, 2018) -  The PNP personnel of Pagadian City Police Station conducted police operation on wanted person (Service of Arrest Warrant) at about 12:30 PM of September 07, 2018 at Purok San Francisco, Barangay Napolan, Pagadian City.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Jhony C. Lusanyes, 46 years old, male, married and resident of Purok San Francisco, Brgy. Napolan, Pagadian City.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Attempted Murder with criminal case number 13923-2k18 issued by Honorable Romeo T Descallar, presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, Branch 19, Ninth Judicial Region, Pagadian City dated June 28, 2018 with a recommended bail of One Hundred Twenty Thousand pesos (Php120,000.00) for his temporary liberty. 

The accused is now under the custody of Pagadian CPS for proper disposition.
