Most Wanted Person Arrested

BAYOG, Zamboanga del Sur (Oct. 23, 2018) – The PNP personnel of Bayog MPS and Siayan MPS conducted joint police operation on wanted person (Service of Arrest Warrant) at about 11:00pm of October 22, 2018 at Purok 4, Barangay Poblacion, Bayog, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of the suspect identified as Edgar Landong Dayna, 45 years old, single, laborer, and a resident of Brgy. Mangilay, Siayan, Zamboanga Norte.

Subject person belongs to wanted list of the municipality of Siayan, Zamboanga del Norte, charge for murder with Criminal Case number S-5727 issued by Ninth Judicial Region, Branch 11, Sindangan, Zambo. Norte, issued on March 6, 2018 with no bail recommended

The accused was brought to Bayog MPS for Booking and Mug shot and properly turn-over to PNP personnel of Siayan MPS for proper disposition.

Man Arrested in Labangan for the Crime of Grave Threats

LABANGAN, Zamboanga del Sur (Oct. 23, 2018) – The PNP personnel of Labangan Municipal Police Station conducted police operation on wanted person (Service of Arrest Warrant) at about 10:00 AM of October 22, 2018 at Purok Kalipapa, Barangay Combo, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Badruddin Mamasalagat Hasim, 40 years old, married, and a resident of Purok Kalipapa, Brgy. Bokong Combo, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for crime of Grave Threats with Criminal Case no 14042-2k18 issued on October 9, 2018 by Honorable Judge Romeo T. Descallar, Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 19, Pagadian City, with a recommended bail of One Hundred Thousand Pesos (Php100,000.00) for his temporary liberty.

The accused is now in the custody of Labangan MPS for proper disposition.

Rape Suspect Captured in Misamis Occidental

AURORA, Zamboanga del Sur (Oct. 23, 2018) – The PNP personnel of Aurora MPS and Tudela MPS, Misamis Occidental, conducted joint police operation on wanted person (Service of Arrest Warrant) at about 12:30pm of October 22, 2018 at Brgy. Pan-ay Diot, Tudela, Misamis Occidental.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of the rape suspect identified as Benito Campomanes y Villegas, 68 years old, married, farmer and a resident of Purok 3, Brgy. Upper Sto. Niño, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Rape by Sexual Assault (1st count to 6th count), docketed under criminal case number 2014-10-2790 to 2014-10-2795 issued on March 4, 2014 by Hon. Judge Jaime B. Caberte, Presiding Judge of RTC 9, Branch 23, Molave, Zamboanga del Sur. 

The bail bond recommended for criminal case number 2014-10-2790 is fixed in the amount of Two Hundred Thousand Pesos (Php200,000.00) and the bail bond recommended for criminal case number 2014-10-2791 to 2014-10-2795 is fixed in the amount of One Hundred Twenty Thousand Pesos (Php120,000.00) for his temporary liberty.

The accused is now in the custody of Mahayag MPS for proper disposition. 

RA 9262 Violator Arrested in

LABANGAN, Zamboanga del Sur (oCT. 22, 2018) – The Police Operatives of 902nd Maneuvering Company, 903rd Maneuvering Company, Labangan MPS, and Malangas MPS, conducted joint operation against wanted person at Purok 3, Brgy. Bagalupa, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 10:00am of October 21, 2018.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of the suspect identified as Anselmo Montilla Y Jancan, 51yrs old, Male, Laborer, and a resident of Purok 3, Brgy. Bagalupa, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The accused was warrested by virtue of Warrant of arrest issued by Hon. Judge Josefino P Bael, Presiding Judge, RTC, Imelda, 9th Judicial Region, Branch Imelda, Zamboanga Sibugay for the crime in violation of the RA 9262 docketed under CC IM-3-0510 which was issued on August 24, 2014 with Twelve Thousand (Php12,000.00) pesos bail bond for his temporary liberty.

Said person is under the custody of the Labangan MPS for proper disposition.

1 killed, 2 Arrested in Mauling Incident

SAN PABLO, Zamboanga del Sur (Oct. 21, 2018) – One person was killed while two suspects were arrested in Mauling incident transpired at Barangay Senior, San Pablo, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 9:30pm of October 20, 2018.

The victim was identified as Geraldo Arivado Amomonpon Jr., 43 years old, single and a resident of above-mentioned place.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that at about 9:30pm of October 20, 2018, the victim Geraldo Arivado Amomonpon Jr., was drinking a Tanduay Rhum in a store owned by Allan Patana located at Prk Mag-uuma, Brgy Senior, San Pablo  together with  Rimon Mamonta, 18 years old,  resident of barangay Senior, San Pablo, and Romnick Delos Santos, 18 years old, a resident of barangay Sacbulan, San Pablo.

Later, Geraldo Amomonpon and Rimon Mamonta had a heated argument.

Meanwhile, when the victim was about to go home, the suspects accompany him and upon arrival at the grassy portion of the ally, the victim was mauled and was struck with a dried coconut (lubi) on the head many times by Rimon Mamonta that caused victim’s death.

One of the two suspects identified as Rimon Mamonta surrendered himself to Eva Patana, Brgy Chairwoman of Brgy Senior, San Pablo, Zamboanga Del Sur after the incident while the other suspects identified as Romnick Delos Santos was apprehended at about 6:00am of October 21, 2018. He was brought to San Pablo MPS for proper filing of charges.

1 Died in Motor Vehicle Traffic Accident

MOLAVE, Zambonaga del Sur (Oct. 21, 2018) – One person was died in Motor vehicle traffic accident occurred along National Highway Barangay Culo, Molave Zambonaga Del Sur at about 3:10 P.M. October 20, 2018.

The accident was involving one single motorcycle Honda RS color blue/black with plate no 090108 driven by Avelino Magatao Jr y Cabarles of Esperanza, Ramon Magsaysay was ran over by one Isuzu double cab pick–up color Cooper bearing plate no KCE 563 owned and driven by Dioscoro Revelo Y Paran of B13 L3 Regency Phase 3 Iponan, Cagayan de Oro City.

Initial investigation disclosed that said  Honda was travelling from Poblacion Mahayag bound for Ramon Magsaysay and upon reaching at above-mentioned place Honda RS managed to overtake the ahead single motorcycle Honda XRM but his extra load (personal belonging) got into contact to the said Honda XRM and due to slippery road because of rain prompting the Honda RS to crash down in the road and was ran over by the Isuzu pick-up who also travelling in opposite direction.

The driver of Honda RS sustained serious injuries and immediately rushed to Salug Valley Medical center and after continuous treatment he passed away. Both vehicles incurred damages and are now under the custody of Molave MPS for proper disposition.

Shooting Incident

SOMINOT, Zamboanga del Sur (Oct. 21, 2018) - Shooting incident occurred near the Brgy. Hall of Barangay Lumangoy, Sominot, Zamboanga Del Sur at around 8:30 PM of October 20, 2018.

Upon received of the information, considering the location/distance and terrain of the said barangay PNP personnel of Sominot MPS coordinated to Alpha coy, 53rd Infantry Battalion of Philippine Army base in Dumingag, Zamboanga Del and proceeded to the area to confirm the veracity of the report.  

The responding team arrived at about 11:20 o`clock morning in the same date.

Initial investigation conducted by Sominot MPS revealed that incident transpired at more or less 8:30pm of aforesaid date.

Further investigation disclosed that, the alleged suspects had fired many times at the yard of the house of Hon. Wennie Y. Podiotan, 38 years old, married, Barangay Chairman of the aforementioned Barangay.

Investigation conducted, the team recovered nine pieces of empty shells of caliber 5.56mm (M16), and four pieces of live ammunition of 5.56mm (M16) rifle, three pieces of fired cartridge cases and two slugs of caliber 45 pistol.

Investigator on case conducted further investigation disclosed that the house of Brgy. Capt. Wennie Podiotan was hit thru and thru particularly on the door jam and the wall.

Fortunately, honorable Podiotan and his family members were not hit during the alleged shooting. Brgy. Councilor Arjie Martil revealed that he saw two persons armed with unidentified long firearms fired several times on air and on the ground and shouted to quote “Yawa Kang Kapitana Ka” unquote other witness overheard the suspects saying “Ayaw Mo’g Gawas Arun Walay Kinabuhi Makalas”.

Not long thereafter, the suspects disappeared from darkness. Motive of the incident is still under investigation.

The Joint elements of Sominot MPS and 53d Infantry Battalion of Phil. Army have conducted hot pursuit operation towards their escaped route. Investigator is PO3 Rennie Boy Z Calunsag with CP NO. 09464994937.

2 LBC Workers Held-Up in Pagadian City

PAGADIAN CITY (Oct. 23, 2018) - Robbery/hold-up incident transpired at Cabrera Street, Purok Liberty, Gatas District, Pagadian City at about 12:10pm of October 22, 2018.

The Victims were identified as Kevin Rey Ibańez y Daguinot, 26 years old, Filipino, and wife, Irish Magalso y Lanaha, 23 years old, Filipino, both work at LBC, Gatas District, Pagadian City and residents of Purok Kawayan, Balangasan, District, Pagadian City.

Initial investigation disclosed that while the victims were on board their single MC bound home, and stopped a while due to traffic congestion when two suspects wearing ball caps and dark sun glasses approached them and one of them pointed a short FA against the victim Kevin and declared “hold up” (“Tulis ni, Bay”) then took the MC key and an envelope from the wife containing application papers for SSS claims, SSS ID Card and Birth Certificates.

The suspects immediately fled towards the direction of Salera Street, Gatas District, Pagadian City. Case is under follow up. The investigator is PO2 Welito C Nuena with CP number 09107571250.

Cadaver Found

BAYOG, Zamboanga Del Sur (Oct. 22, 2018) - A cadaver was found at Purok 7, Barangay Kahayagan, Bayog, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 10:00pm of October 21, 2018.

The lifeless body of the unknown victim was found particularly below NIA Dam. He sustained contusions on different parts of his body and wounds on the head.

Further, the cadaver was brought to Gamalinda Funeral Homes, Bayog, Zamboanga Del Sur while Bayog MPS still conducting verification for the possible identity of the victim. Investigator is PO2 Clarence T Rollen with CP # 09066527453.

1 person killed in Shooting Incident

RAMON MAGSAYSAY, Zamboanga Del Sur (Oct. 22, 2018) – One person was killed in Shooting incident transpired at Purok 4, Brgy Paradise, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 5:50pm of October 21, 2018.

Immediately, PNP personnel of Ramon Magsaysay MPS proceeded to the area and conducted initial investigation wherein the victim was identified as Willy Carbajasa Legutom, of legal age, married and resident of Brgy Baculot, Tambulig. He sustained one Gunshot wounds on his head that resulted to his death.

The suspect shoots the victim with the use of Cal .45 based on the recovered one empty shell for Cal .45 at the crime scene.

The victim’s back rider identified as Gardo Sabanal, of legal age, resident of Brgy Balugo, Tambulig sustained contusions on the different parts of his body.

Further investigation revealed that the victim and his back rider was riding a single MC Honda Wave 100 travelling from Brgy Bliss, Ramon Magsaysay going towards Tambulig when shot by a lone unidentified gunman riding undetermined single MC wearing a close helmet.

PNP personnel of Ramon Magsaysay MPS are still conducting police operation for possible motive of incident and identification of the perpetrator. The investigator is PO3 Richie Villamor Cuadra with CP # 0949-8250-485.

Progress Report on Motor Vehicular Traffic Accident at

RAMON MAGSAYSAY, Zamboanga Del Sur (Oct. 21, 2018) - In connection with the motor vehicle traffic accident that transpired last October 20, 2018 at around 2:15pm along the semi-blind curved down grade portion of the National Highway, Purok P1, Brgy. Esperanza, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga Del Sur.

Wherein the driver of Isuzu Prime Mover Truck w/ Plate # 101606 identified as Fructoso Ponce Bation accidentally bumped all other motor vehicles involved in the said accident.

Please be informed that a case for Reckless Imprudence Resulting in Multiple Homicide with Serious Physical Injuries and Damage to Properties was filed by the Ramon Magsaysay MPS before the Provincial Prosecution Office, Pagadian City duly received at about 8:00am of October 21, 2018 docketed under IX-09-INQ-18J-00165.

Further, a thorough investigation conducted by Ramon MaM MPS revealed that there was another male person died on arrival at Blancia Hospital Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur in person of Julio C Andales, 54 years old, male, married, truck man of a Kia Bongo bearing Plate # ADO 4221 and a resident of Purok Caimito, Tuburan Dist.,  Pagadian City.
