KUMALARANG,
Zamboanga del Sur -
Two person was killed in Shooting incident transpired at Barangay Gawil,
Kumalarang Zamboanga del Sur. At about 6:40 AM of May 11, 2019.
Police Brigadier Gen. Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Director identified the two
victims as:
Lino Gandalusao Y Purok, male, 45 years
old, married, and a resident of Purok Kingdom, Gawil, Kumalarang, Zamboanga del
Sur and
Dennis Perocho Y Baid, male, single, 29
years old, and a resident of Purok Tokyo, Barangay Gawil, Kumalarang, Zamboanga
del Sur.
Investigation disclosed that prior to
the incident at around 6:35 AM of May 11, 2019, both victims were traversing
onboard single MC, DT Yamaha with no registration plate heading towards
Barangay Bolisong, Kumalarang Municipality and upon reaching at Purok Kingdom,
Barangay Gawil, Kumalarang were waylaid by unidentified suspect/s and without
any apparent reason shot the victims several times using 5.56mm based on the
recovered fired six (6) cartridge cases of 5.56 mm and one (1) live ammunition
of same caliber from the crime scene.
As a result, victims sustained multiple
gunshot wounds on the different parts of their bodies that resulted to their
instantaneous death. The suspect/s fled towards National Highway of Barangay
Bogayo, Kumalarang.
PNP personnel of Kumalarang Municipal
Police Station conducted thorough investigation and follow up operation to
possibly identify, locate and arrest the fleeing suspect/s.
The cadaver was now in their immediate
families, while motive of the incident is yet to be determined.

Zamboanga del Sur – One person was killed in Shooting incident transpired at Purok
3, Barangay San Juan, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur at about 6:40 AM of May 10,
2019.
Police Brigadier Gen. Emmanuel Luis D
Licup, PRO9 Director identified the victim as Jomar Sarmiento y Romulo, 32
years old, married, carpenter resident of Purok 3, Barangay San Juan Aurora.
Accordingly, the victim was pasturing his cow at the river bank of aforesaid
place when several gun fires coming from the elevated portion of the riverside.
The victim was hit at the different
parts of the body that causes his instantaneous death.
Recovered from the crime scene nine (9)
empty shells of M16 rifle; four (4) empty shells of 9 MM caliber pistol, and
one (1) broken slug and will be turned-over to Zamboanga del Sur Provincial
Laboratory for Ballistic Examination. Motive of the incident is still to be
determined.

SAGUN - Fire incident transpired at Danan
Elementary School, Barangay Danan, Vincenzo Sagun, Zamboanga del Sur at about
1:10 PM of May 10, 2019.
Initial investigation disclosed one (1)
School building composes of two (2) rooms made of concrete and light materials
were razed by fire.
Responding BFP personnel declared fire out
at about 3:20 PM of same date with negative casualty.
Estimated damaged of said incident
amounting to Php 300,000.00 to Php500,000.00, pesos as estimated by responding
BFP personnel FO2 Galicano O Lamparas, Fire Investigator, Margosatubig Bureau
of Fire Station.

Held for the Crime of Frustrated Murder
DIMATALING,
Zamboanga del Sur - A 39-year old man was arrested by joint
PNP Personnel of Dimataling Municipal Police Station led by Police Captain Jake
P Capitly and Provincial Mobile Force Company – Zamboanga del Sur in a police
operation on wanted person at Barangay San Roque, Dimataling Zamboanga del Sur at about 6:45 PM of May 10, 2019.

Licup, PRO9 Director identified the suspect as Gerry Opada y Ramirez, 39, years
old, married, farmer and a resident of Purok 4, Barangay San Roque, Dimataling
Zamboanga del Sur.
The accused arrested by virtue of
Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Frustrated Murder docketed under Criminal Case
no. 19-045 issued by Hon. Ruben Bance, Presiding judge, RTC Branch 29, San
Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur, dated April 5, 2019 with bail recommended of Two
Hundred Thousand Pesos (P200, 000.00).
The arrested person is now under the
custody of Dimataling MPS for proper disposition.
