Child died in
Drowning Incident
TABINA,
Zamboanga del Sur (Aug.16, 2018) - A child was died in Drowning incident
transpired at Purok Bayanihan, Poblacion, Tabina, Zamboanga Del Sur at about
8:40 PM of August 14, 2018.
Tabina MPS identified the victim as Simplice Louise Babao,
4-year-old child and resident of same place. Initial investigation disclosed
that the child along with his siblings were left at the care of their
grandparents, since their parents had separated and the child’s mother was in
Manila applying for a job abroad.
The child was last seen at about 08:00am of same day, left
alone sleeping at the house of his grandparents, his elder siblings had went to
school and his grandfather who serves as his guardian have attended their
sari-sari store located about 30-40 meters away from their house.
Accordingly, as the child gets up, normally, he will go to his
grandparents store to have his meal or to the house of his aunt besides his
grandparents’ house. On or about 1:00pm this day, his grandfather wondered why
his grandson failed to show-up at their store, thereby, they went on to look
after his grandson and at about 08:15pmM, finally their neighbors found the
lifeless body of the child submerge at the mini fish pond of their neighbor.
The child since unattended is believed to have curiously played
thereat and eventually fell and failed to recover at aforesaid mini fish pond.

Notorious
Rape Suspect Arrested in Dumingag, Zamboanga Del Sur
DUMINGAG, Zamboanga del Sur (Aug.15,
2018) – The Combined
PNP elements of 902nd Company of RMFB9 and Dumingag MPS conducted manhunt
police operation at Sitio Parke, Purok 6, Brgy. Salvador, Dumingag, Zambonaga
Del Sur at around 7:00am, August 13, 2018.
The
operation was resulted to the arrest of Virgilio Balanay Ocay, 48 years of age,
married, resident of Sitio Bilin, Brgy. Salvador, Dumingag.
The
arrested wanted person has pending Warrant of Arrest for the following crimes:
-Rape
docketed under Criminal Case number 2018-10-3561 with no bail recommended,
-Sexual
Abuse docketed under Criminal Case number 2018-10-3562 with bail recommended
fixed in the amount of One Hundred Seventy Thousand Pesos (Php170, 000.00)
issued on June 29, 2018,
-Acts
of Lasciviousness docketed under Criminal Case number 2018-10-3563 with bail
fixed in the amount of Thirty Six Thousand Pesos (Php36, 000.00) issued on July
16, 2018,
-Rape
docketed under Criminal Case number 2018-10-3564 with no bail recommended,
Sexual Assault docketed under Criminal Case number 2018-10-3565 with bail
recommended fixed in the amount of One Hundred Seventy Thousand Pesos (Php170,
000.00) and
-Acts
of Lasciviousness in relation to R.A. 7610 docketed under Criminal Case number
2018-10-3566 with bail recommended fixed in the amount of One Hundred Forty
Thousand Pesos (Php140, 000.00) both issued on issued on June 29, 2018.
Both
Warrant of Arrests were simultaneously issued by Hon. Jaime B. Caberte,
Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 23,
Molave, Zamboanga del Sur.
The
arrested wanted person was brought to Dumingag MPS and now temporary detained
at the lock-up cell awaiting commitment order.
PAGADIAN CITY (Aug.15, 2018) – The PNP personnel of Pagadian City Police Station and PNP personnel of Lakewood MPS conducted a Joint Manhunt Operation “Charlie” at about 2:00pm of August 13, 2018 at Hofileña Street, San Pedro District, Pagadian City
The operation was resulted to the arrest of Sanny Panang Sumampong aka “Sonny Boy Sumampong”, 26 years old, male, single, Filipino and resident of Brgy San Francisco, Pagadian City.
The accused was arresated by virtue of Warrant of Arrest docketed under Criminal Case # 1792-L for the crime of Reckless Imprudence Resulting to Homicide and Damage to Property issued by Hon Judge Norlinda R Amante-Descallar, Presiding Judge, 13th MCTC, 9th Judicial Region, Kumalarang, Zamboanga Del Sur on July 25, 2018.
The arrested wanted person is now under the custody of Pagadian City Police Station for documentation and booking procedure prior turn over to the issuing court for proper disposition.
