PRESS RELEASE

CAMPAIGN AGAINST ILLEGAL FISHING

on or about 3:00 pm of july 25, 2014PNP elements of Margos MPS led by  Spo4 Wilcy Banghulot Ruste under the supervision and control of COP PSI Jonathan Pesto Lladoc  conducted seaborne operation along the waters of margosatubig, ZDS which resulted to the arrest of (6) six fisherman who was caught in the act engaging in illegal fishing locally known as tare-tare or hulbot-hulbot suspect identified as the following Jhonny Boy Suland  y Saavedra, Efren Garcisa y Maratas, Ariel Bersueka y Reales, Samuel Ornopia y Catipay and Edgar Cabaluna  y Montefalcon all resident of sitio tigbalugo Barangay Digon margosatubig, ZDS. Confiscated items are illegal fishing fine mesh nets and fishing boat colored red and white owned by Jimmuel Heyrana a resident of Brgy. Limbatong Margosatubig ZDS was turn - over to the LGU of Margosatubig while arrested fishermen was released after paying fines worth (6,000.00) six thousand pesos for the violation of Municipal ordinance 01-98.

CAMPAIGN AGAINST WANTED PERSON

On or 7:300 July 25, 2014, PNP elements of Pagadian CPS led by SPO2 Carlos Omentic ,warrant server, upon the direction of PSUPT GLENN MACARIO DULAWAN, COP proceeded to  Purok Kapalaran, Balangasan and arrested one (1) Gerille Potot, 34 yo, married, resident of said place by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of qualified theft issued by  Hon Judge Rolando Goan, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 21, Regional Trial Court Pagadian City docketed under criminal case number 11583-2k14 , 11584-2k14, 11585-2k14 and 11587-2k14  with bail bond amounted to (Php 160,000).Suspect is now detained at Pagadian CPS locked dash up cell awaiting court disposition.

RECOVERED LOOSE FIREARM

On or about 2:00 AM of July 26, 2014 PNP elements of Kumalarang MPS with the direct supervision of PINSP LEONEL PAJAARILLA RONCESVALLES, OIC conducted mobile patrol at Sitio Sayao, Kumlarang ZDS recovered one (1) homemade pistol, 12- gauge shotgun left by the unidentifed personality at roadside of above mentioned place. Said firearm was under the custody of Kumalarang MPS.

SHOOTING INCIDENT

On or about 2:00 in the afternoon of July 26, 2014, one(1) Jerry Amrad of legal age, a resident of Barangay Lower Liason, Tambulig, Zamboanga Del Sur, one of the bin of Tambulig Police Station called thru cellphone call informing that there was a  shooting incident at upland barangay particularly at Barangay Lower Liason, Tambulig, Zamboanga Del Sur wherein the victim identified as one(1) Joseph Flores Y Vender, 15 years old and a resident of said place was shot to death by unidentified person using unknown type of firearm. Immediately, PNP team of Tambulig Police Station proceeded to the aforementioned place to conduct ocular inspection and investigation. initial investigation conducted by the responding team disclosed that, said victim was with her mother getting some fallen coconuts at their farm located at said place when suddenly unidentified person suddenly appeared and without any reason shot the victim on the head and on his back that caused his untimely death. Suspect fled to unknown direction after the incident. Tambulig Police Station now conducting follow-up investigation for the possible identified and arrest of the suspect and to know the motive of the incident. STABBING INCIDENT

On or about 7:15 in the evening of July 25, 2014 at Purok 1, Barangay Pedagan, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur wherein victim identified as Rommel Barangian Y Empiles, 26 years of age, single and resident of the aforesaid place was stabbed to death using a long pointed knife by suspect identified as one (1) Meriano Gloriano aka meme, 48 years of age, a resident of said place. Initial investigation conducted by the responding PNP elements of Mahayag Police Station disclosed that prior to the incident; said victim was at the house of the suspect shelling corn when suddenly said suspect without apparent reason stabbed the victim on his chest that caused his untimely death. Recovered from the crime scene was one (1) hunting knife stuck on the victim’s chest. Suspect fled to unknown direction after the incident. Mahayag police station is now conducting hot pursuit operation for the possible apprehension of the fleeing suspect and to know the motive of the incident. FIRE INCIDENT

On or about 4:00 in the afternoon of July 26, 2014, a radio call from the community crime watch member was received by Molave Police Station informing that a fire incident happened at the resident of Retired Judge Hon. Loreto Quinto situated at Guilingan St., Barangay Madasigon, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur. PNP elements of Molave Police Station immediately informed BFP of said incident and proceeded to said place and direct the flow of traffic and provided security against looters that might take advantage. Initial investigation conducted revealed that the fire started at one of the room of their house and at about 4:30 in the afternoon of same date BFP declared fire out. Cause of damage still to be determined by the BFP.

OPERATIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

RECOVERY OF STOLEN MOTORCYCLE

On or about 5:30 in the morning of July 26, 2014, certain Nilo Sarajina Y Namilit, 40 years old, married a resident of Purok Gemilina, Upper Bag-Ong Tudela, Josefina, Zamboanga Del Sur  owner of single motorcycle Honda Wave 100, color red bearing plate nr JQ-5756 and one (1)  Rey Clavano, 22 years old owner of single motorcycle sym110, color green and black came and reported to Josefina Police Station that their single motorcycle were stolen by unidentified persons while being parked at the side of their house. PNP elements of Josefina Police Station led by PInsp Diosdado A Serohijos, DCOP conducted follow-up operation to possibly identify the perpetrators and recover the stolen motorcycle. at about 6:00 in the morning of same date single motorcycle sym 110 was recovered at the bushes located at National Highway, Josefina, Zamboanga Del Sur abandoned/unattended while the other single still to be traced. Single motorcycle sym 110 is now under the custody of Josefina Police Station for proper disposition. Thorough investigation is now being conducted by the responding team of Josefina Police Station for the possible identity of the suspects and recovery of said motorcycle.

AMBUSH INCIDENT

On or about 8:45 in the morning of July 27, 2014 at the Deorok Bridge, Boundary Barangay Maragang and Lacupayan, Tigbao, Zamboanga Del Sur wherein five (5) personnel of 1st Cavalry Squadrom, MID, Philippine Army based at Upper Pulacan, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur on board elf vehicle, color fatigue, bearing plate nr SHL-539 travelling from Pulacan bound for Malagutay, Zamboanga City and upon reaching at the abovementioned place were ambushed by more or less Thirty (30) armed men believed to be members of Local Communist Movement. Four (4) personnel were wounded in action namely: Sgt Christopher Kaing Lorenzo, driver and sustained shrapnel wounds at the back portion of his body; Sgt Ruel Ore Tomogsoc sustained gunshot wound on his left thigh and right leg; Sgt Gilbert Dela Cerna Alferez sustained gunshot wound on his chin and shrapnel wounds on the different parts of his body and Pfc Jervie Baligasa Roxas sustained shrapnel wound on his right hand fingers. Victims are now treated at Tigbao Rural Health Center while the vehicle incurred damages due to the incident. immediately PNP elements of ZSPPO led by PSSupt Sofronio P Ecaldre, Acting Provincial Director proceeded to the aforesaid place of incident and subsequently proceeded to Tigbao Police Station while joint PNP elements of ZSPPSC led by PSupt Michael Pineda Palermo, Company Commander, Provincial Public Safety Company, elements of 2nd Mobile Company RPSB9 led by PSInsp Nijam Amil Salim, Tigbao Police Station led by PSInsp Norbert Ferrer Velonza, Dumalinao Police Station led by PSInsp Lee Eric Sale Humpa and elements of a company of 53rd IB, Philippine Army led by 1Lt Roderick Alcantara are now conducting hot pursuit operation for possible apprehension of the suspects. All PNP units/stations were also directed to conduct checkpoint operation in their respected area of responsibility to possibly intercept any movements of Local Communist Movement.

SHOOTING INCID

On or about 7:00 in the evening of July 27, 2014 at Purok Kawayan, Barangay Limason, Vincenzo Sagun, Zamboanga Del Sur wherein victim identified as one (1) Ernie Sanguan Y Gumintad, 37 years old, widow and a resident of Sitio Lote, Barangay Limason, V. Sagun, Zamboanga Del Sur was shot to death by unidentified suspect with the used of caliber .45 pistol based on the recovered evidence found at the crime scene. initial investigation conducted by Vincenzo Sagun Police Station led by PSInsp Rolando Bayawa Coz, OIC disclosed that the suspect was on his way home from barangay waling-waling of same municipality and upon reaching at the abovementioned place was waylaid by unidentified suspect and shot him with the used of caliber .45 pistol hitting on his left cheek and neck that resulted to his untimely death. Suspect fled to unknown direction after the incident. Responding team recovered a slide stop of caliber .45 pistol at the crime scene. Vincenzo Sagun Police Station is now conducting follow-up investigation to possibly identify and arrest the suspect and to know the motive of the incident.

STABBING INCIDENT

On or about 6:00 in the evening of July 27, 2014 at Purok 3,  Barangay Carpok, Lapuyan, Zamboanga Del Sur wherein victim identified as one (1) Leodel Ventura  Y Banghulot, 19 years old, single, driver and a resident of Purok 2 of the same barangay was stabbed by one (1) Don-Don Sireg  Y Nanding, 25 years old, single, farmer and a resident of Sitio Pilagan, Barangay Lubosan, Lapuyan, Zamboanga Del Sur. Initial investigation conducted by Lapuyan Police Station disclosed that prior to the incident, the aforesaid victim was travelling heading towards Barangay Poblacion and upon reaching at the abovementioned place, the aforementioned suspect stopped the victim and asked to pay his debt in the amount of fifty pesos (php50.00) then a heated argument ensued between them and suddenly suspect stabbed the victim with the used of a hunting knife. Victim sustained stabbed wound on the right portion of his breast and rushed to Margosatubig Regional Hospital for immediate medical treatment. Suspect was arrested by a concern citizen identified as Jerid Bolingas and Enedy Sibuyan, former SB member of Lapuyan, Zamboanga Del Sur and properly turned-over to Lapuyan Police Station for proper disposition including the instrument used in the commission of the crime. Motive of the incident believed to be personal grudge. Appropriate case is now being prepared for immediate filing in court against the abovementioned suspect. CAMPAIGN ON LOOSE FIREARM

On or about 2:00 in the morning of July 24, 2014, PNP elements of Kumalarang Police Station led by SPO4 Edwin Delizo, caretaker while conducting mobile patrol along the national highway of Sitio Sayao, Barangay Poblacion, Kumalarang, Zamboanga Del Sur and successfully recovered one (1) pistolized homemade 12 gauge  shotgun left beside the road by unidentified person. Immediately, pnp team conducted hot pursuit operation believing that the suspect was around but failed to locate the same. Recovered firearm was under the custody of Kumalarang Police Station and to be turn-over to PCLO for ballistic examination and proper disposition.

On or about 6:40 in the evening of July 27, 2014, joint PNP elements of Labangan Police Station led by PInsp David Amil Pintado, OIC and elements of ZSPPSC led by PInsp Harold Velasco Bruno conducted checkpoint operation at the national highway of Barangay Dalapang, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur successfully arrested one (1) Ronnie B Larasan, 35 years old and a resident of Barangay Sacbulan, San Pablo, Zamboanga Del Sur for violation of R.A. 10591. Confiscated from his possession and control one (1) colt .45 caliber pistol with serial number 724193, one (1) magazine and five (5) live ammunition. Suspect failed to present pertinent documents authorizing him to possess said firearms. Subject person is now temporary detained at Labangan Police Station for proper disposition while a case for violation of R.A. 10591 is now being prepared for immediate filing in court.
