Suicide in Molave

Suicide incident occurred at about 3:00 AM of June 17, 2015, wherein PNP member assigned at Molave MPS personally found/discovered the suspect identified as Rubelito Cuestas who was temporarily detained at locked -up cell of Molave MPS and committed suicide by hanging himself using sweat shirt  inside the said lock- up cell. The victim was rushed by the PNP personnel of Molave MPS to Salug Valley Medical Center for immediate medical treatment but was declared dead around 12:30 in the afternoon of same date by the attending physician. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident; said victim/suspect was caught in the act of entering the dwelling without permission from the owner Mrs. Maria Analyn Tac-An Makiling, 23, with live- in partner, resident of Barangay Culo, Molave. said suspect/victim was caught by the CCW (citizen crime watch) members led by Norio Macabenta and Barangay Tanods. The victim was brought nad detained to the mentioned police station. Based on the statement of the complainant, suspect/victim was under the influence of drugs and hallucination and hide at the said dwelling knowing that someone would kill him. His cadaver now lies at Arapoc Funeral Homes of said municipality.

Shooting in Margosatubig

Shooting incident occurred at about 8:20 PM of June 17, 2015 at Purok Yellow Bell, Barangay Guiniman, Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur. The victim was identified as Robert Rivera Tumabini, 33, married, farmer, resident of aforesaid place. He was shot to death by unidentified suspect using a 12 gauge shotgun. investigation conducted by Margosatubig MPS disclosed that on the abovementioned time and date, said victim was about enter his house located at said place when unidentified suspect coming from behind and took cover from darkness suddenly shot the victim using a 12 gauge shotgun. Victim sustained multiple pellet wounds on the different parts of his body that resulted to his instantaneous death. Suspect fled towards unknown direction after the incident while PNP elements of Margosatubig MPS conducted a follow -up investigation and operation to possibly identify and arrest the suspect and file appropriate case in court if evidence warrants.

Dead Body Found in Molave

A dead body was found at about 8:30 AM of June 17, 2015 at the grassy portion in Barangay San Vicente, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur. The victim was identified as Antonio Jr. Lata Y Talan, 38 years old more or less 5’7” in height and weighing 68 to 70 kilos. The victim was last seen on June 16, 2015 at about 1:00 in the morning at Barangay Prenza, Tangub City while attending vigil. He was allegedly abducted and taken by five unidentified armed personalities on board by a black tented van.  The victim was wearing a black sweat shirt, camouflage six pockets short and with his two hands and both feet tightly tied at the back with a small rope and a brown packing tape was also tightly tied in between his mouth. He sustained multiple hematoma and contusions on the different parts of his body. Based on the findings of Dr. Wilson G. Lumapas, Mahayag Rural Health Officer disclosed that the victim’s cause of death was due to asphyxia secondary to suffocation. The said person was previously charged for the crime of car napping at Tangub City and was convicted for the same offense. They appealed the decision to the court of appeals and acquitted for the same offense sometime on March 2015. The Mahayag MPS is now conducting follow-up investigation regarding the incident.

Tricycle Driver Busted in Pagadian Buy Bust

A tricycle driver was arrested after he was caught in flagrante delicto selling one small size heat dash sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance of suspected shabu with one small folded strip aluminum foil to the police poseur-buyer during drug buy-bust operation conducted by operatives of Pagadian City Police Station at Edward Lodging House located at Purok Bayanihan, Rizal Avenue, San Francisco District, Pagadian City at about 3:55 in the afternoon of June 17, 2015. Police Senior Inspector Rommel G. Etbew, Intel Officer, identified the arrested pusher as Mastura Kudarat Y Bulibod, 46, married, tricycle driver, Banale, Pagadian City.  confiscated the suspect possession and control are one small container with three same size heat dash sealed transparent plastic sachets, all containing white crystalline substance of suspected shabu and three folded strip aluminum foils inside the said small container, three pieces of one hundred peso bills marked money worth (P 300.00) pesos and one unit cellular phone cherry mobile d13tv color black were also recovered from the possession of the suspected pusher.  Confiscated shabu will be turn- over to Zamboanga Del Sur Provincial Crime Laboratory for laboratory examination. Arrested suspect is now temporarily detained at the lock- up cell of Pagadian City Police Station while a case for violation sec 5 and 11 of RA 9165 against the respondent is being prepared for filing at the city prosecution office.

OPERATIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORTS

Man Arrested in La Libertad for Murder

A 46-year old man was arrested during manhunt police operation carried out by La Libertad MPS and Bayog MPS at Barangay Mauswagon, La Libertad, Zamboanga Del Norte at about 09:00 AM of June 17, 2015. Suspect was identified as Edwin Serana “aka ” (Tata), 46 years old, married and a resident of Pulangbato, Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur. He was arrested by virtue of the Warrant of Arrest issued by Presiding Judge Romeo T. Descallar of RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 19, Pagadian City for the crime of Attempted Murder docketed under Criminal Case No. 9900-2k10d for Violation of Sec 77 of PD 705 docketed under Criminal Case No. 10053-2k11 with bail bond recom amounting to Forty Thousand Pesos (₱40,000.00) each for his temporary liberty. Said accused was brought to La Libertad MPS for documentation and subsequently turn-over to the personnel of Bayog MPS for proper disposition.

2 Motorized Pump Boat Held in Lapuyan for Illegal Fishing

Elements of Lapuyan MPS led by Police Inspector Roger A. Bartiana conducted sea borne patrol along Dumanqulias Bay within the Lapuyan Municipality about 4: 00 PM of June 17, 2015. This resulted to the interception of one motorized pump boat color blue and allegedly owned by Dodong Culoban, a resident of Barangay Maruing, Lapuyan, boarded by three (3) personalities namely Nasser Sahid Y Mancao, 61, Dio Banagal Y Salapa, 35, and Robert Kehek, 38, residents of barangay maruing, lapuyan. The operation also led to the interception of one puddle boat color white and allegedly owned by Elvis Ruste boarded by two personalities. The motorized pump boats were caught in the act of illegally fishing at the sea water of Barangay Linok, Lapuyan using an hulbot-hulbot. Arrested persons were brought to the Lapuyan MPS for proper disposition.

Child Abuser Nabbed in Ramon Magsaysay

A 60-year old man was arrested by operatives of Ramon Magsaysay Police Station in Barangay Campo IV, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 10:00 AM of June 17, 2015. Police Senior Inspector Jeremias P. Soreno, Ramon Magsaysay Police Chief, said suspect Julio L. Dela Cerna, 60, married, was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Hon. Jaime Caberte, presiding judge branch 30, RTC, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur docketed in criminal case # 15-10, 1162 for the crime of child abuse under R.A. 7610 with bail bond recommended P 80,000 pesos. Arrested person now temporarily detained at said police station waiting for the final issuance of commitment order from the court concern.

Rape Suspect Nabbed in Buug

Elements of Buug Police Station and Lakewood Police Station conducted an Intel driven and manhunt operation at Purok Kamansi, Barangay Compostela, Buug, Zamboanga Sibugay at about 5:40 PM of June 18, 2015. This resulted to the arrest of one Jay-Ar Caluya, of legal age by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Hon. Benjamin R. Lanzaderas, Presiding Judge Of Regional Trial Court, Branch 22, 9th Judicial Region, Pagadian City for the crime of rape (3 counts) under criminal case nos. 10743-2k12; 10744-2k12 and 10745-2k12 with no bail recommended. Suspect is the Top Number 8 Most Wanted Person municipal level and now under the custody of Buug MPS for proper disposition.

Stabbing in Dumingag

Stabbing incident occurred at about 8:45 PM of June 18, 2015 at Barangay Bag-Ong Valencia, Dumingag, Zamboanga del sur. The victim was Rey Bahian Y Sale, married, 36 years old, farmer and resident of above stated barangay. He was stabbed by Rey Baloyot resident also of the same place. The victim sustained one stabbed wound at his stomach and was brought to Ozamiz Emergency Hospital for medication. The suspect fled to unknown direction after the incident while the motive of the incident is not yet determined.

Dead Body Found in Dumingag

A Barangay Councilor was found dead at his rubber farm in Barangay Mahayahay, Dumingag, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 10:00 AM of June 18, 2015. The victim was identified as Dionesio Labito Gumacial, 63 years old, married and a resident of said place. He was discovered by the victim’s brother identified as Carlos Gumacial and Cousin Pedro Labito while they were pasturing carabao. Investigation showed that the cadaver has an indication of a foul play. The Mahayag MPS requested the Municipali Health Officer Dr. Ju Kandra Apale Panugao to conduct postmortem examination to the cadaver and she found out that the wound at the back portion of the victim’s head is a gunshot wound. The victim left their house at about 5:30 o’clock in the morning of same date going to his rubber farm with a distance of more or less 1 kilometer from their house, however, at about 6:00 A.M. of the same date Dionesio Labito Gumacial was discovered lying dead at his rubber farm. According to the  victim’s wife named Estrella Gumacial her husband has a golden necklace and a ring, however, there were no longer in his possession at that time he was discovered dead, wherein it was believed to be carted away by the unidentified perpetrator/s. The cash money amounting to twenty six thousand (P26, 000.00) pesos put in the small pouch and placed inside his t-shirt with jacket was intact.

Wanted Woman Arrested in Tukuran

A 37-year old woman was arrested at Purok Bayanihan, Barangay Sto. Niño, Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 7:45 PM of June 18, 2015. Police Chief Inspector Gilzen Niño Regis Manese, Tukuran Police Chief, identified the arrested man as Marry Ann Paredes Y Española, 37 years old, with live-in partner and a resident of said place. Suspect was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Norlinda R. Amante-Descallar, Acting Presiding Judge, 9th Municipal Circuit Trial Court of Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur dated June 4, 2015 for the crime of concubinage docketed under criminal case no. 1526-t with bail bond recommended fixed at P8,000.00 for her temporary liberty. Said accused is now detained at Tukuran MPS lock -up cell waiting for commitment to Provincial Jail, Pagadian City.

RA 7610 Violator Held in Bayog

A RA 7610 violator was arrested at Barangay Poblacion, Bayog, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 9:30 PM of June 17, 2015. Arrested was identified as Jhonny Piscos Y Pacinio, 23, teacher, and a resident of said place. He has a standing with warrant of arrest with criminal case/s number 30039 & 30040 for violation of section 10 in relation to section 3 of RA 7610 issued by Hon. Peter V Eisma Cma Presiding Judge of RTC 9th Judicial Region Branch 15, Zamboanga City. The bail for the temporary liberty of the said accused was fixed to eighty thousand pesos (P 80,000.00) each case. The accused is now temporarily detained at said police station for proper disposition.

Tambulig No. 7 Most Wanted Falls

Police operatives of PPSC Lanao Del Norte, Lala MPS and Tambulig MPS conducted police operation serving of warrant of arrest at Purok 6, Abaga, Lala, Lanao Del Norte at about 3:00 PM of June 18, 2015. This resulted to the successful arrest of Edgar Gezen Caruana, 41, temporary residing at aforementioned place. He is rank number 7 of municipal station most wanted person and has a standing warrant of arrest for the crime of murder under criminal case number 2014-10-2909; no bail bond recommended and frustrated murder under criminal case number 2014-10-2908 with corresponding bail bond amounting to two hundred thousand pesos Philippine money (P 200,000.00). Said warrant was issued by Presiding Judge Jaime B. Caberte of RTC 9 branch 23, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur issued on June 4 2015. Arrested man is now temporarily detained at Tambulig Police Station while waiting for the commitment order from the issuing court.

Man Nabbed in Sominot for Robbery Charges

A 21-year old man who wanted for the crime of robbery was arrested by elements of Sominot Police Station at Purok Durian, Barangay Poblacion, Sominot, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 10:00 AM of June 18, 2015.  Arrested was Patrick John Tapayan Y Lastimosa, 21 years old, single and a resident of Block 37, Lot 19, Cabanatuan City. The suspect was charged for the crime of robbery (art 299, RPC) with criminal case no. 12082- 2k15 signed by Hon. Judge Romeo T. Descallar at RTC, 9th Judicial Regional, Branch 19, Pagadian City dated 21st of May 2015 with a bail bond recommended amounting to forty five thousand pesos (P45, 000.00). Suspect is now temporarily detained at the said police station while waiting for commitment order for the issuing court.
