REPORTED INCIDENTS –June 6, 2015

Shooting in Margosatubig

Shooting incident at about 2:20 PM of June 6, 2015 at Purok Cadena De Amor, Sitio Marissa, Barangay Poblacion, Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur. The victims were identified as Tete Maito, 47, married, jobless and Benjo Santiago, 45, married, both residents of the aforementioned place. They were shot by a suspect identified as alias “tunti” with the used of .45 Cal pistol. Initial investigation conducted disclosed that the victims had heated argument with the suspect regarding the pathway of the constructed house of victim Benjo Santiago situated at the abovementioned place prompting the suspect to shot the victims hitting their chests but fortunately victim Tete Maito able to fight back and grabbed the aforesaid pistol from the possession of the suspect and hacked him hitting his right arm. Both victims sustained lone gunshot wounds on their chest. The suspect sustained hacked wound on his right arm and fled towards the seashore of said place boarding a motorized pump boat and sailed towards the high seas of Dumanquillas Bay. Recovered from the crime scene was the weapon used of the suspect .45 pistol with markings STI edge and with serial number 915261 loaded with live ammo. The recovered items are now in the custody of Margos MPS who are now conducting follow - up operation for the possible arrest of the suspect
