Shooting Incident in Midsalip
At
about 11:15 pm of January 23, 2016, madison base called up to this station thru
radio and reported that a shooting incident transpired at Demarunsing Street
Sta. Barbara, Zamboanga City. this report was officially referred to PO3 Sufian
B Mohammad, investigator-on-case, with mobile number 0906-614-4179, acted on
the report, together with members of the criminal investigation section (CIS)
of this station led by SPO2 Almhudzriff I Astang proceeded at the reported area
to verify the veracity of said report.
Thereat, an unidentified victim more or less 168 cm. tall, small built,
wearing blue sleeveless and black pants was shot several times by unidentified
suspect hitting on the chest, arm and head later trying to revive by the
members of stop death ambulance and was declared dead while undergoing medical
treatment by the attending physician. Investigation disclosed that according to
the concern bystanders, the victim was walking along Ayer Village Sta. Barbara
particularly along Demarunsing Street, this city, suddenly they only heard the
burst of gunshots and saw unidentified male person was already lying at the
street filled with his own blood but the bystanders failed to identify the
assailants. Moreover, members of stop death ambulance of red cross tried to
revive the victim and later rushed to Zamboanga City Medical Center (ZCMC) and
later declared dead-on-arrival by the attending physician. Furthermore, members
of the scene of the crime operatives (SOCO) were requested to process the crime
scene and no empty shell/s was recovered. Moreover, this office is still
conducting deeper investigation to determine the identity of the victim and
whereabouts of the suspects as well as the motive of the incident.
Robbery Incident in Midsalip
At
about 5:30 am of January 23, 2016, Midsalip Municipal Police Station received a
cellular phone call from Hon. Liwaya A. Paras, Municipal Mayor of Midsalip,
Zamboanga Del Sur reported that a robbery incident transpired at the residence
of Emely Gorre Batiencila, located at Purok 1, Barangay New Onidos, Midsalip,
ZDS. Upon receipt of the report, PNP team led by SPO4 Eduardo Albios proceeded
to the reported place of incident for ocular investigation. Investigation
conducted disclosed that at around 4:00 am of same date, two unidentified
perpetrators gained entry through the ceiling of the house of the victim while
the latter was asleep and carted away cash money worth more or less forty
thousand (40,000.00) pesos, assorted jewelries worth thirty thousand
(30,000.00) pesos, one (1) unit net book, one (1) unit laptop and three (3)
unit of cellphones with an estimated amount of thirty thousand (30,000.00)
pesos. follow-up operation is still conducting for the possible identification

Stabbing Incident in Midsalip
At
about 09:30 pm of January 23, 2016, Midsalip Municipal Police Station received
a cellphone call from the duty nurse of Midsalip Infirmary Hospital, Zamboanga
Del Sur reported that there was a victim of stabbing that brought to their
hospital. Upon receipt of the report, PNP personnel of said station led by SPO4
Eduardo Albios immediately proceeded to the hospital to verify the report. Upon
arrival thereat, victim was identified as Deregorio Dalagdag Delos Santos, 55
years old, married, and a resident of Purok 2a, Barangay Sigapod, Midsalip,
Zamboanga Del Sur. Initial investigation revealed that about 8:45 pm of same
date, while the victim was walking alone going to his residence at Purok 2a,
Barangay, Sigapod, upon reaching Purok 2 Of Barangay Canipay Sur, the victim
was waylaid and stabbed by unidentified suspect. The victim sustained stabbed wound on the
left side of his stomach and on the left lower portion of his back and was
immediately rushed to Midsalip Infirmary Hospital for immediate medical treatment and later
pronounce dead by the attending physician.
Suspect fled away to unknown direction. PNP elements of Midsalip MPS are
still conducting hot pursuit operation for the possible arrest and

Illegal Drugs in Josefina
At
about 10:00 am of January 24, 2016, PNP personnel of Josefina MPS led by PI
EDWIN IMPIL LUMINGO together with PPSC 3rd Maneuvering Platoon led by PI
ANSELMO GERIC PINEDA conducted spot checkpoint/chokepoint at the junction of
national highway, Upper Bag-Ong Tudela, Josefina Zamboanga Del Sur. which resulted
to the apprehension of Alden Salutillo Vergara, 24 years old, single and a
resident of Isis, Polanco, ZDN. recovered from his possession and control were
eight (8) pcs heat sealed transparent sachets containing white crystalline
substance believed to be shabu, one (1) single motorcycle XRM125, color black,
bearing plate number MCJA 74181, registered under the name of Cirilo M Pajantoy
of Purok Parpagayo Dicayas, Dipolog City, Zamboanga Del Norte. Subject person
is now temporarily detained at Josefina MPS lock up cell for proper

Robbery Incident in Bayog
Mr.
Virgilio Matuod Fernandez, 48 years old, businessman together with his wife
Mrs. Imelda Matuod Panunang, 47 years old both residents of Purok 2, Barangay
Poblacion, Bayog, Zamboanga Del Sur personally appeared and reported to this
office that their house was ransacked by unidentified suspects at around 9:00
o’clock in the evening of January 30, 2016. According to Mr. Fernandez that he
together with his wife were still in their sari-sari store located at bayog
public market and after they got home at about 11:00 p.m on the same date. They
discovered that their belongings inside their house were scattered and cabinets
were forcibly opened. Investigation conducted disclosed that the estimated time
of the incident was about 9:00 pm of same date since nobody was left in their
house. Further investigation conducted that the alleged suspects climbed at the
window and forcibly open the ceiling at the room upstairs based at the
footprints that were seen at the window. As a result, the following items were
stolen amounting to ninety thousand pesos (Php 90,000.00) to wit: assorted
jewelry made of silver worth ten thousand pesos (Php 10,000.00), gold worth
thirty five thousand pesos (Php 35,000.00), samsung tablet worth fifteen
thousand pesos (Php 15,000.00) and money amounting to thirty thousand pesos
(Php 30,000.00). The case is under follow-up investigation by Bayog Municipal
Police Station for the possible arrest and identity of the suspects.
