REPORTED INCIDENTS - November 1, 2016

Shooting Incident

MAHAYAG - Shooting incident has transpired at Purok 6, Barangay Pugwan, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur on October 31, 2016 at about 10:30 AM particularly at the rice field owned by Basilisa Calderon Restauro. The victim was identified as Ronilo Dayap Vitacura, 43 years old, married, a resident of purok 2, Barangay Sta. Cruz, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur. Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident the victim together with his wife Annabel Restauro Vitacura were at the above-mentioned rice field particularly at the established nipa hut resting. at around 10:40 am of the same date three (3) identified suspects namely; Ricardo Calderon Restauro, 46 years old, married, a resident of Purok 3, Barangay Maralag, Dumingag, Pedro Calderon Restauro aka Lolot, 55 years old, married, a resident of purok 2, Barangay Pugwan, Mahayag, and Cerilo Diangco Castro Aka Loloy, 52 years old, married, a resident of Purok 2, Barangay Maralag, Dumingag, All Of Zamboanga Del Sur. Ricardo Restauro engaged on a heated argument with his younger sister Annabel Vitacura relative to their land conflict and while in the course of their arguments, the victim intervened which prompted Ricardo Restauro to drew his caliber .45 pistol and shot the victim several times. The victim sustained a lone gunshot wound on his stomach and was rushed to ltmpc community hospital located at Barangay Poblacion, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur. The suspect fled after the incident. follow-up operation was conducted by the responding elements of Mahayag MPS and successfully arrested the suspects and recovered one (1) unit caliber .45 pistol colt mk iv series 80 bearing serial number 126352, one (1) magazine for caliber .45 without ammunition and bolo. arrested suspects were temporarily detained at mahayag mps for proper disposition. 

REPORTED INCIDENTS - October 31, 2016

Shooting Incident:

PAGADIAN CITY - Shooting incident transpired at Pulmones Street, Barangay Sta. Lucia, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 8:45 am on October 30, 2016 wherein the victim identified as Raul Magsayo Ngoho, of legal age, and a residence of Barangay Mama, Dumalinao, Zambaonga Del Sur was shot to death by unidentified suspect with the used of undetermined firearms. Investigation conducted by the responding PNP elements of PCPS disclosed that the victim was at said place purposely to buy a medicine when suddenly suspect appeared from behind and without apparent reason shot the victim hitting at the back portion of his head. Victim was rushed to Borbon Hospital for immediate medical treatment but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician. Suspect fled to unknown direction. PNP personnel of Pagadian CPS is now conducting follow-up investigation to identify and to possibly arrest the fleeing suspect/s and determine the motive of the crime.

REPORTED INCIDENTS - October 30, 2016

Shooting Incident

PAGADIAN CITY - Shooting incident has transpired at Purok Palmera, Balangasan District, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur on October 28, 2016 at about 11:40 pm wherein the victim was immediately brought to borbon hospital for treatment.  The victim identified as Mea Grace Baya Sta. Cruz, 39 years old, married a resident of Purok Palmera, Balangasan District, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur. the victim sustained a gunshot wound on her left neck wherein the attending physician declared the victim dead on arrival. Initial investigation disclosed that at about 11:20 PM of the same date, while the victim was inside her house sitting on at the sofa watching television together with her daughter when suddenly someone knocked on the door and called her name. The victim stood up to open the door and suddenly one (1) unidentified person shot the victim. Joana Sta. Cruz woke up when she heard the gun burst and saw her mother lying on the floor. With the assistance of their neighbor, the victim was immediately rushed to Borbon Hospital, Pagadian City for immediate treatment. Recovered at the crime scene were three pieces of empty shell of caliber .9mm. motive of the incident is love triangle. Investigator-on-case is PO2 Mizrach Sumampong Lapid with contact number 09106538891.

REPORTED INCIDENTS - October 28, 2016

Shooting Incident

DINAS - Shooting incident transpired at about 2:30 PM of October 27, 2016 in Purok 3, Guniicolay, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur. The victim was identified as Wilson Belda, 60, married, a retired SSGT Philippine Army and a resident of said place. He was shot to death by unidentified person. Investigation conducted by Dinas MPS disclosed that the victim was shot by an unidentified person with the used of cal. 45 pistol, based on the empty shell recovered at the crime scene. Dinas MPS is now conducting follow-up investigation and hot pursuit operation against the suspect for his possible arrest. Motive of the incident is still to be determined.

Flash Flood Incident

RAMON MAGSAYSAY - Flash Flood Incident occurred at about 4:00 AM of October 27, 2016, Ramon Magsaysay MPS received a cellphone call from a concern citizen that a flash flood occurred at Barangay Katipunan and Sitio Palayan of Brgy. Esperanza, all of Ramon Magsaysay, ZDS due to heavy rain fall which resulted to the overflowing of Dipolo River of said place. Upon receipt of the report, immediately Ramon Magsaysay MPS dispatched First Responder Team led by SPO4 Leonardo R. Godinez Jr. with cell phone number 09126388983, under the direction of PSI BENJAMIN C NAPIGKIT, OIC. As a result of the incident, a total of Twenty four (24) household and One hundred seven (107) individuals were evacuated with no casualties and no crops damaged during the incident. All evacuees are currently staying in their respective Barangay Evacuation Center.

Visitation of Affected Areas on Flash Flood

DUMINGAG - Elements of Dumingag MPS led by PCI EDGAR RITUYA HINOCTAN, COP conducted follow-up inspection and assessments to the low land barangays of Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur particularly at Barangay Bucayan, New Basak, Libertad, Upper Timonan, Lower Timonan, Maralag, Manlabay and Upper Landing, all of Dumingag, ZDS in relation to the flash flood incident that transpired OOA 6:30 PM of October 26, 2016. Initial investigation disclosed that several rice and corn fields were flooded and mostly newly planted rice were destroyed and damaged. It was further disclosed that there were two (2) domesticated large cattle (Carabao and Cow) drifted and carried away by the strong current of water. The cow was recovered at Barangay Upper Timonan, Dumingag, ZDS while the carabao is not yet recovered. Accordingly, at about 11:00 AM of October 27, 2016 certain Linda B. Apay, a resident of Barangay Upper Landing, Dumingag, ZDS reported to Dumingag MPS and requested to put into record that his husband identified as one Miran Apay y Ticol were drifted by the strong current of water while attempting to cross the Guitran River, Barangay Upper Landing, Dumingag, ZDS during the heavy rain fall and until now the body of the said victim is not yet recovered.

Vehicular Accident

RAMON MAGSAYSAY - Motor Vehicular traffic accident occurred at about 1:48 AM of October 26, 2016 at National Highway of Purok 1, Barangay. Paradise, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga Del Sur wherein two (2) single MCs involved described as: one (1) single MC Rusi, driven by Raul Rivera, 53 years old, married, CAFGU member of 53rd IB, resident of Brgy. Guminta, Buug, Zamboanga Sibugay together with his backriders Lusminda C Rivera (wife), 51 years old and daughter Kyla Rivera, one (1) year old, all resident of Brgy. Guminta, Buug, Zamboanga Sibugayc; and one (1) single MC Honda wave 125, bearing plate number 2867 JK, owned and driven by Roel B. Aranjuelz, 38 years old, married, resident of Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur. Both single MCs accidentally bumped of the above-mentioned place. As a result, both drivers sustained injuries on the different parts of their bodies and were brought to Blancia Hospital for medical treatment.  Later, Roel B. Aranjuelz was brought to Ozamis emergency hospital for immediate treatment while Raul Rivera was brought to Pagadian City Medical Center.

Theft Incident

DUMALINAO - Theft incident took place at about 7:30 AM of October 26, 2016 at Purok Riverside, Barangay Paglaum, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur wherein one (1) unit of mud boat engine, 10 horse power reduction worth P14, 000 was discovered missing at about 6:30 AM, near his house of the above-mentioned residence and believed to be stolen by an unidentified suspect.

Stabbing Incident

MAHAYAG - Stabbing incident occurred at about 8:40 PM of October 26, 2016 at P-palayan, San Isidro, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur wherein victim Danilo Caballes Yybanez, was stabbed to death by suspect Jefftey Lariba. The suspect was immediately arrested by the responding PNP personnel of Mahayag MPS and is now temporarily detained at Mahayag MPS lock-up cell.

Stabbing Incident

KUMALARANG - Stabbing incident transpired at Purok 2, Barangay Kitaan-Dagat, Kumalarang, Zamboanga Del Sur in the evening of October 25, 2016. The victim was identified as Joseph Rubio Abante, 26 years old, single, farmer and a resident of the aforementioned place. The information was emanated from a cellphone call of Niel Pongao, Brgy Chairman of said place. Upon receipt of the report, PNP team of Kumalarang MPS led by PO3 Mohaliden A. Layugan, IOC together with Mr Edgar Kagatan Sanitary Inspector of Kumalang-RHU immediately proceeded to the place of incident to verify the veracity of the report and to conduct investigation. Investigation conducted by Kumalarang MPS disclosed the victim was on his way home when waylaid by unidentified suspect and stabbed several times with the use of sharp bolo. As a result victim sustained multiple stabbed wounds on the different parts of his body that caused his untimely death.

Flash Flood Incident

DUMINGAG - Flash flood incident transpired at about 07:00 PM of October 26, 2016, wherein PNP personnel of Dumingag MPS led by PCI EDGAR R HINOCTAN, COP, went to barangay Bucayan, Dumingag, Zamboanga Del Sur to verify the report that the said barangay was flooded by the high water level of Bucayan River. Upon reaching the said barangay it was confirmed that the said barangay was flooded, but after few minutes the flooding water quickly subsided and returned to normal level. During the flood incident no deaths or no casualty was recorded.

REPORTED INCIDENTS - October 26, 2016

Shooting Incident

PAGADIAN CITY - Shooting incident transpired at about 5:20 PM, October 25, 2016 at along Rizal Avenue, Balangasan District, Pagadian City. The victims were identified as Elmey Yukoya Y Mendoza, 64 years old, male, married, Filipino, Dean of graduate School (SMC) and a resident of Barangay Sumadat, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur, Santa Lebitario-Yukoya, 64 years old, female, wife of Elmey M. Yukoya and a resident of same place, Yoriko Montejo Y Yukoya, 9 years old, male, grandson and a resident of Poblacion, Titay, Zamboanga Sigugay, Tisha Montejo Y Yukoya, 11 years old, female, granddaughter. They were shot several times by two riding criminals on board on unidentified type of single motorcycle with the use Cal .45. Initial Investigation conducted by the responding personnel of Pagadian City Police Station disclosed that the said victims were onboard on their white SUV (Mitsubishi Montero Sport) with plate number VFT 676, when they were tailed by two (2) unidentified suspects and shot the victims. As a result, victim Elmey Yukoya sustained multiple gunshot wounds in the different parts of his body and was immediately rushed to Borbon Hospital located at Rizal Avenue, Sta. Lucia District, Pagadian City and was later pronounced dead on arrival by his attending physician and his grandson sustained gunshot wound on his chest and still under critical condition. The other two victims were both unharmed. Recovered from the crime scene were four (4) fired cartridge cases for .45 caliber subject for turned-over to PNP Crime Laboratory for Ballistic Comparison. 

Fire Incident

TAMBULIG - Fire incident transpired at around 11:00 PM, October 24, 2016 at Sitio Orang Dako, Purok 5, Barangay Cabgan, Tambulig, Zamboanga Del Sur wherein the two houses made of light materials burned into ashes, owned by Dominador Labrador Casas Jr, 59 years old, married, Fisherman and Jomar Diano Casas, 30 years old, single and all a resident of Sitio Orang Dako, Purok 5, Barangay Cabgan, Tambulig, Zamboanga Del Sur. Initial investigation conducted by the BFP investigator further disclosed that the cause of fire was electrical short circuit due to overloading. Estimated cost of damage is amounting to more or less P80, 000.00. No reported injuries/casualties during the incident. 

Fire Incident

PAGADIAN CITY - Fire incident transpired at about 4:25 PM, October 25, 2016 at Mang Inisal, Gaisano Capital Mall, located at Barangay San Pedro, Pagadian City wherein one of the employees of Mang Inasal assigned at the grilling area noticed an unusual large smoke that made one of the employee panic, and suddenly in a split of second, a fire started. After a couple of minutes, the fire was under control by the responding BFP personnel at around 4:55 PM and declared fire out at around 5:05 PM of same date with an estimated cost of damage amounting to more or less P100,000.00. No reported injuries/casualties during the incident.

REPORTED INCIDENTS - October 25, 2016

Shooting in Pagadian

RAMON MAGSAYSAY - Shooting incident transpired at around 7:45 in the morning of October 24, 2016 at Eastern Bobongan, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga Del Sur wherein the victim identified as one Junjie Betache Y Nello, 35 years old, married, a resident of Barangay Lalab, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur was allegedly shot by one Ramil Caraca, of legal age and a resident of Barangay Combo, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur together with unidentified male companion with the use of undetermined caliber of short firearm. Victim sustained gunshot wound on his left arm and managed to escape away from the suspect on board his single MC towards Barangay Eastern Poblacion Sominot, Zamboanga Del Sur and hide himself in one of the houses of said place. Suspect chased the victim together with other male companion on board a single MC Kawasaki Baja but failed to locate his position, then fled to unknown direction. Thereafter, the victim was brought to Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center, Dao, Pagadian City for medical treatment.

Arrest of Wanted Person

TABINA - Elements of Pitogo MPS and Tabina MPS conducted manhunt operation at Purok Hibino Balete, Barangay Poblacion, Tabina, Zamboanga Del Sur about 11:00 AM of October 24, 2016. This resulted to the arrest of one Archie Sajulga y Alcontin, 32 years old, married, welder and a resident of same place. He was arrested by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of carnapping, docketed under Criminal Case Number 16-008, issued by Honorable Ruben N Bance, Presiding Judge of 9th RTC, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur. Recommended bail bond for his temporary liberty is Php180, 000.00.

Arrest of Wanted Person

PAGADIAN CITY - Operatives of Pagadian CPS conducted manhunt operation at Purok Palmera, San Pedro District, Pagadian City at about 3:45 PM of October 24, 2016. This resulted to the arrest of one Bartholomeo Bernardo y Hermoso, 32 years old, single and a resident of said place. Suspect was arrested by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of Reckless Imprudence Resulting in Damage to Property, docketed under Criminal Case Number 16-0185, issued by Honorable Wilfredo V. Timola, Presiding Judge of Municipal Trial Court, Taytay Rizal. Recommended bail bond for his temporary liberty is Php6, 000.00.

Murder Suspect Arrested in Bayog

BAYOG - Combined elements of Bayog MPS conducted manhunt operation at Purok 4, Barangay Sigacad, Bayog, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 9:00 PM of October 23, 2016. This resulted to the arrest of one Melogen Sumocla Antugos, 32 years old, female, married, farmer and a resident of Purok 1, Barangay Balukbahan, Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur. Suspect was arrested by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of Murder docketed under Criminal Case Number 13045-2k16, issued by Honorable Romeo T Descallar, Presiding Judge of RTC Ninth Judicial Region, Branch 19, Pagadian City. No recommended bail bond for his temporary liberty.

Fisherman Held in Margos Drug Bust

MARGOSATUBIG - Police elements of Margosatubig MPS conducted a drug buy-bust operation at Serenio Billiard Center, Fish Port Area, Barangay Poblacion, Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur at around 5:20 PM of October 24, 2016. The operation resulted to the arrest of one Robert Alicaway Y Ernal, 24 years old, fisherman, single and a resident of Purok Lakas, Margosatubig Zamboanga del Sur. Confiscated from his possession and control are the following items: two (2) pieces of heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu; one (1) unit caliber .38 revolver without ammunition and without serial number; three (3) pieces sliced rolled aluminum foils; and three (03) pieces one hundred peso bill marked money with SN Numbers AM253820, JE013969 and UK327802. Arrested suspect is now temporarily detained at Margosatubig MPS lock-up cell while cases for Violation of R.A. 9165 and R.A. 10591 are being prepared for immediate filing in court.

2 Wanted Person Nabbed in Search Warrant

BAYOG - Two individuals were arrested during the Serving of Search Warrant and Warrant of Arrest carried out by operatives of Bayog MPS and Midsalip MPS in Purok 1, Barangay Balukbahan, Bayog, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 7:00 PM of October 23, 2016. Arrested were Danilo Alimod Dumandos aka Etok, 35, married, farmer, and a resident of the above-mentioned place.  Recovered from his house was one Homemade Twelve Gauge Shot Gun with magazine and live ammunition. He has a Standing Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Murder, docketed under Criminal Case Number 16-10-1302, issued by Hon Judge Analyn P Ramas Costanilla of RTC, Branch 30, Aurora, ZDS.  Another wanted person arrested was identified as Nestor Alimod Dumandos, aka Etang, 27, married, farmer and a resident of the same place. Recovered from his possession and control one Long Barrel Homemade Twelve (12) Guage Shot Gun and two (2) live ammunitions. Subject has a Standing Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Murder, docketed under Criminal Case Number 16-10-1302, issued by Hon Judge Analyn P Ramas Costanilla of RTC, Branch 30, Aurora, ZDS. Both Wanted Persons are in the Wanted List of Midsalip MPS, Midsalip. Arrested persons are now temporarily detained at Bayog MPS lock-up cell while waiting commitment order from the court and a case for Violation of R.A.10591 against the above-mentioned suspects is now being prepared for immediate filing in court.

Man Nabbed in Aurora Police Operation

AURORA - Combined personnel of Aurora MPS led by PSI HEIDEL B TE-ELAN, Officer In-Charge, together with Alpha Company, 53rd IB, 1st ID, PA led by 1ST LT. SOTERO ABRETO III, Company Commander, conducted police operation (Service of Search Warrant No. 2K16-10-22-06) on October 23, 2016 at about 2:30 AM, at Purok San Pedro, Barangay Balas, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur against Alex Vecera Y Arquilita, 32 years old, married, businessman, and a resident of said place. The Search Warrant was issued by Hon. Analyn F. Ramas Costanilla, presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court, Ninth Judicial Region, Branch 30, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur for violation of RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act). The operation resulted to the arrest of Alex Vecera Y Arquilita and confiscated/recovered during the operation were one (1) unit caliber 357 revolver without serial number loaded with four (4) live ammunitions and one (1) unit 12-gauge shotgun without serial number loaded with two (2) live ammunitions.  The above-mentioned person is now temporarily detained at Aurora MPS lock-up cell while appropriate case for violation of RA 10591 is now being prepared for filing in court.

2 Drug Suspect Arrested in Pagadian

PAGADIAN CITY - The Intelligence operatives of Pagadian CPS led by PSI HARRY R VELEZ, conducted anti-illegal drug operation at Barangay Kawit, Pagadian City particularly at the Rivera’s Apartment of said place on October 23, 2016 at about 11:30 AM. The operation resulted to the arrest of two (2) suspects identified as Cesar Christian Micabalo Domingo, 18 years old, male, single, jobless and resident of block 5, lot 9, Alta Tierra, Barangay Napolan, Pagadian City and one Franjhelyn  Dologuin Fuentes, 17 years old, female, single, student and resident of said place. The suspects were caught in the act during a pot session at the above-mentioned place thru civilian informant. Confiscated from their possession and control were the following: one (1) pieces heat-sealed plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be Methamphetamine Hydrochloride locally known as “shabu”; one (1) folded Aluminum Foil with residue; two (2) piece of improvised aluminum tube; four (4) pieces of disposable lighters; nine (9) pieces of folded aluminum foils; one (1) piece of color blue cartoon box; and one (1) improvised aluminum needle. The suspects were now temporarily detained at Pagadian CPS lock-up cell while necessary documents for an inquest case for violation of R.A 9165.

REPORTED INCIDENTS - October 21, 2016

Shooting in Pagadian

PAGADIAN CITY - Shooting Incident occurred at about 11:42 AM of October 20, 2016 at Datoc Street, Corner Rizal Avenue, Sta. Lucia District, Pagadian City wherein victim Joecil Sumagang Superales, 25 years old, male, single, resident of Purok 1-B, Poblacion, Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur was shot by an unidentified male suspect armed with caliber 45 pistol. Victim sustained lone gunshot wound on his left leg and was rushed to Hofileña Hospital for immediate medical treatment, while suspect fled towards unknown direction after the incident. Evidence recovered from the crime scene was one (1) fired cartridge case of caliber 45 pistol and will be turn-over to Provincial Crime Laboratory Office (PCLO) for ballistic examination.

Dead Body Found

DUMINGAG - A dead body was found at about 3:00 PM of October 20, 2016 at Dipolo river, located at Purok 2, Barangay Manlabay, Dumingag, Zamboanga Del Sur wherein victim Michael Maturan Y Sumanduran, 25 years old, single, resident of Purok 1, Barangay Manlabay, Dumingag, ZDS believed to be mentally ill was found floating lifeless at the above-mentioned river. PNP personnel of Dumingag MPS coordinated with the Municipal Health Center to conduct Post Mortem Examination and likewise conducted thorough investigation to determine whether there is a foul play involved.

Arrest of Wanted Person

DINAS - One (1) Wanted Person identified as Eduardo Asoy a.k.a. Thata Balut, legal age, married, resident of Barangay Lower Dimaya, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur was arrested by PNP personnel of Dinas MPS on October 20, 2016 at about 5:15 PM at the above-mentioned place. The accused was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of robbery, docketed under criminal case number 15-077 dated 29 October 2015, issued by Hon. Felix B Rodriguez Jr., Presiding Judge of RTC, Branch 29, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur with bail bond recommended of P30,000.00 for his temporary liberty. The accused is now temporarily detained at Dinas MPS lock-up cell while waiting for the commitment order from the court origin.

Motor Vehicular Accident

DUMALINAO - Motor vehicular accident transpired at around 11:05 AM of October 18, 2016 along the National Highway of Purok Mangga, Barangay Camanga, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur wherein one Toyota Hilux, bearing plate number ABL 4013 owned and driven by Leonardo Benites Paras, 42 years old, married, businessman and a resident of Purok Gumamela, Barangay San Jose, Imelda Zamboanga Sibugay accidentally hit/bumped the three (3) Single Motorcycle parked beside the road and one residential house owned by Nelson Faciol Espinosa. Both vehicles incurred heavy damages while the three (3) passengers on board in the Toyota Hillux identified as David Punzalan, 25 years old, single, Nemecio D. Diano and Reseminda D. Diano, both resident of Balagon, Siay, Zamboanga Sibugay sustained serious physical injury and were immediately brought to Jamellarin Hospital, Purok Kapalaran, Barangay Balangasan, Pagadian City for immediate medical treatment.

Stabbing Incident

SOMINOT - Stabbing incident transpired at about 6:00 PM of October 18, 2016 at Purok 2, Bulanay, Sominot, Zamboanga Del Sur wherein victim identified as one Nerio Langod y Macot, 41 year old, married, farmer and a resident of said place was stabbed with the use of a hunting knife by one Sanero Rote Hapis, 33 years old, married, farmer and a resident of the same place. Victim sustained slight stabbed wound on his right armpit and brought immediately by the responding PNP personnel to Midsalip Infirmary Hospital for medical treatment. Suspect voluntarily surrendered to Sominot MPS and now temporarily detained at lock-up cell while appropriate case is being prepared for immediate filing in court.

Stabbing incident

MARGOSATUBIG - Stabbing incident occurred at about 10:30 P.M of October 18, 2016, Margosatubig MPS received a report through cellular phone call from a concerned citizen that a victim of Stabbing incident was brought at Margosatubig Regional Hospital, Poblacion Margosatubig ZDS. Initial investigation disclosed that the incident happened at Kerlan Videoke House Port Area, Barangay Poblacion, Margosatubig, ZDS wherein victim was identified as one Jerrymae Patris Y Antiquina, 19 yo, male, fisherman and a resident of Maluso, Basilan Province was stabbed three times by Jervin Aguirre Alvarez and Joseph Auguirre  with the used of unknown bladed  weapon. Victim sustained three stab wounds, one (1) on the left portion of his back and two (2) on the left portion of his torso. Victim was rushed to Margosatubig Regional Hospital for medical treatment. Suspect fled to unknown direction after the incident.

PITOGO - Operatives of Pitogo MPS led by SPO4 Louis F Arquiza conducted manhunt operation at Purok Kalubian, Barangay. Poblacion, Pitogo, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 05:20 in the afternoon of October 18, 2016. The operation resulted to the arrest of one Edrian Anding Y Labandero, 21 years old, single, fisherman and a resident of same place. Subject person was arrested by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of Frustrated Murder, docketed under Criminal Case Number 16-122, issued by Hon. Ruben N. Bance,  Presiding Judge of RTC 9th Judicial Region, Branch 29, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur. Recommended bail bond for his temporary liberty is Php300, 000.00.

Arrest of Top 8 Most Wanted Person

LABANGAN - Elements of Labangan MPS led by PINSP JOEL M GALERIANA, conducted manhunt operation at Purok 3, Barangay Dipaya, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 11:00 AM of October 18, 2016. This resulted to the arrest of one Bobby Libradilla y Pasok, 23 yo, and a resident of same place. Subject person was arrested by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of Frustrated Murder docketed under CC Nr 11631-2K14, issued by Hon Felix B Rodriguez Jr, Presiding Judge of RTC 9th Judicial Region, Branch 18, Pagadian City. Drowning incident

JOSEFINA - Drowning incident transpired at about 1:00 PM of October 12, 2016 in Noel’s Resort located at Barangay Upper Bag-ong Tudela, Josefina, Zamboanga Del Sur. Initial investigation conducted by the responding elements of Josefina MPS disclosed that, at around 1:00 PM of said date, victim identified as Alvien Jhon Goc-Ong Pia, 7 years old, grade 1 pupil, a resident of Sitio Logdeck, Barangay Upper Bag-ong Tudela, Josefina, Zamboanga Del Sur was playing at the pool side located at same place wherein he accidentally fell over the pool and was noticed by her grandmother already floating in the water. Said victim was immediately rushed by his grandmother to Mahayag Municipal Hospital, Mahayag, but was later pronounced dead on arrival by his attending physician at around 1:30 PM of same date. Cause of death was respiratory failure secondary to drowning.

DUMALINAO - Motor vehicular accident (Reckless Imprudence Resulting to Physical Injury) transpired at about 6:20 PM at Purok Malinawon A, Barangay Pag-asa, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur wherein victim identified as Lucia Ningasca Marceliana, 55 years old, single, a resident of Purok Paradise, Barangay Sumadat, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur was accidentally bumped by a single MC Kymco with no plate nr driven by certain Arnie Tahud Tual, 44 years old, married, security guard and a resident of Purok Maoswagon, Tubod, Lakewood. MOLAVE - Personnel of Molave Municipal Police Station led by SPO1 Abraham G Apat Jr., conducted manhunt operation at Purok African Daisy 1, Bliss Culo Street, Barangay Culo, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur about 11:45 A.M. of October 12, 2016. This resulted to the arrest of one Arnel Marababon Compayan, male, 37 years old, single, thresher operator and a resident of said place. Subject person has a standing Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Rape,  docketed under Criminal Case Number 2016-10-3231, issued by Hon. Judge Jaime B Caberte, RTC 9th Judicial Region, Branch 23, Molave, Zamboanga del Sur, dated October 6, 2016. No bail bond recommended for his temporary liberty. He is now temporarily detained at Molave MPS lock-up cell for proper disposition while waiting commitment order from the court.

Laborer Nabbed in Mahayag Drug Bust

MAHAYAG - The elements of Mahayag MPS led by PO3 Marvin Lappay conducted buy-bust operation at Purok 2, Barangay Poblacion, Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur at about 3:30 P.M. of October 12, 2016. This resulted to the arrest of one Jeboy Maglinte y Gloriano, 38 years old, single, laborer and a resident of Purok 2, Barangay Poblacion, Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur. Confiscated from his possession and control the following items are four (4) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of shabu; five (5) rolled aluminum foils; and three (3) pieces One Hundred Peso Bill buy-bust money. Arrested suspect is now temporarily detained at Mahayag MPS lock-up cell for proper disposition while a case for Violation of R.A. 9165 is now being prepared for immediate filing in court.

RAMON MAGSAYSAY - On October 7, 2016 at about 12:30 pm,  Felix Barte Yargao, 34 years old, married and resident of Purok 2, Barangay Poblacion, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga Del Sur was arrested by elements of Ramon Magsaysay MPS during a police operation led by PSI BENJAMIN C NAPIGKIT, OIC at above mentioned place. Confiscated from his possession and control one (1) unit of cal.45  pistol bearing a serial number of 197832 place inside the u-box loaded with one magazine with six (6) live ammos, one (1) extra magazine loaded with six  (6) live ammos and his driven single motor cycle suzuki 115 raider, color green, bearing a plate nr  JA 63673. Upon verification of the said driver on the legal documents in possessing said firearm, driver failed to present any documents. The arrested person and items confiscated are now under the custody of Ramon Magsaysay MPS pending filing of appropriate charges in court.

Suspect identified as Diosdado Zanoria y Dela Victoria aka “Dadong”, 55 years old, married, businessman and a resident of Bonifacio St., Purok Sta Maria, Brgy Poblacion, Aurora, ZDS. Victim sustained gunshot wounds on the back portion of his waistline and exited at his abdomen and now confined at ZDSMC, Dao, Pagadian City for medical treatment. Suspects voluntarily surrendered to the responding PNP elements of Aurora MPS and turn-over his calibre .45 pistol Armscor (Medallion) with serial no.1271120, one (1) magazine (HICUP) loaded with eight live ammo.

DUMALINAO - Motor vehicular traffic accident transpired at about 07:45am of October 04, 2016 at Prk. Malipayon, Sumadat, Dumalinao, wherein one White Toyota Hi-Ace Van with Plate number ABC4038 driven by Bene Kent Perez Y Anggot, 29 y/o, married, driver by occupation and a resident of Sebucao, Dumalinao, ZDS was bumped from behind by a single MC Red Honda 125 with Temporary Plate number driven by Arnel Catiil y Laberanes, 29 years old, married, driver by occupation, and a resident of Vincenzo Sagun, ZDS. Both Toyota Hi-Ace van and single MC were bound to Pagadian City.

Electrocution Incident

MARGOSATUBIG - Electrocution incident transpired at about 10:00 A.M, October 04, 2016 at Rizal Street, Poblacion, Margosatubig, wherein victim identified as one Armando Cabanlit, 31 years old, married, construction worker and a resident of Barangay Lantungan, Aurora, was electrocuted while working at the rooftop of the under construction building that resulted to third degree burns on the different parts of his body.

MIDSALIP - At about 06:00 AM of October 3, 2016, Shooting and Stabbing Incident transpired at Purok 1, Brgy. Pisompongan, Midsalip, ZDS wherein four (4) victims involved: (1) Marcial Tanggot y Andamay, 30 yo, single, farmer, stabbed to death by Julieto Antokod y Salibulan, 35 years old, married, farmer, who was also sustained stabbed wounds at his left upper ribs and one gunshot wound at his head. (2) Emer Antokod y Candong, 68 yo, widower, farmer sustained multiple stabbed wound at his chest and one (1) gunshot wound on his head. (3) Armelo Antokod y Salibulan, 20 yo, married, farmer, sustained one (1) gunshot wound on his head and were all stabbed to death by Rogen Salibulan y Alagon, 18. (4) Jomar Macandas y Candong, 31 yo, single, farmer, was shot to death by Tatong Salibulan y Alagon.

DUMALINAO - Motor vehicular accident transpired at about 4:45 pm of October 03, 2016 at Dumalinao, IBT, Public Market, Brgy. Pag-asa, Dumalinao, ZDS wherein the RTMI Passenger Bus with Plate number JVH329 driven by Cresencio Cales Y Lamoste, 50 yo, married, a resident of Prk. Malipayon, Dao, Pagadian City bumped a White Mitsubishi Estrada with Plate number LGY998 driven by Alan Pasco Y Saplot, 32 yo, a resident of Prk. Litsonan Airport, Sing Cang, Bacolod City.

Alleged Hacking Incident

SAN MIGUEL - OOA 11 AM of October 4, 2016, alleged attempted hacking incident transpired at Purok 4, Barangay Mati, San Miguel ZDS wherein victim identified as one Joel Greg Bucoy y Torres, security guard at Josefina H. Cerilles State College, Mati San Miguel ZDS. Suspect identified hacked by Edward Bahian y Balucan, 39 yo, male, single, a resident of Purok 4, Barangay Mati, San Miguel ZDS. Suspect was shot to death by the responding PNP team of San Miguel MPS.

Dead Body Found

PAGADIAN CITY - A dead body found on October 3, 2016 at Zone 6, Brgy Tiguma, Pagadian City wherein victim was identified by his nick name RAMEL, of legal age, without permanent address. Victim sustained severe damaged on his head as a result from a heavy object smashed on his head.

Arrest of Wanted Person

DUMALINAO - At about 10:00 o’clock in the evening of October 3, 2016, one William Gumapac Y Mendez, a resident of Brgy Miculong, Dumalinao, ZDS charge for the crime of Rape four (4) counts, docketed under Criminal Case Number 9765-2K10 and 9768-2K10, issued by Hon. Benjamin G Lanzaderas, Presiding Judge, RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 22, Pagadian City. Subject person was arrested by Davao City Police Station 9, Mintal, Tugbok District, Davao City thru E-Warrant Verification of above-said Police Station.

Shooting Incident

PAGADIAN CITY - shooting incident transpired at in front of Capitol Park Inn, Duterte Street, Corner Urro Street, Gatas District, Pagadian City On October 2, 2016, at about 2:55 AM wherein victim identified as Logan Natividad Y Sabdani, 39 years old, male/gay, single, Filipino, TESDA Teacher (ZCAT), temporarily residing at Duterte Street, San Jose District Pagadian City and with a residence address in Zamboanga City was shot by unidentified male person several times with the use of cal .45 based on the fired cartridge cases recovered at the crime scene. Victim sustained one gunshot wound on his head and multiple gunshot wounds on the different parts of his body that causes his untimely death. The cadaver of the victim was brought to Gamalinda Funeral Homes, Pagadian City. Motive of the incident is still to be determined.

PAGADIAN CITY - Shooting incident transpired at Purok Mauswagon, Barangay Banale, Pagadian City On October 2, 2016 at about 9:20 AM wherein victim identified as Ligaya Dingal Epanto, 40 years old, female, married, housewife, and a resident of said place was shot by unidentified person wearing a dark green t-shirt, short pants and with bull cap with the use of unknown type of firearm while sweeping at the balcony of their house. Said victim now confined at Hofileña Hospital, Pagadian City. No spent shells recovered at the crime scene. Motive of the incident is still to be determined.

Niño, Pagadian City On October 2, 2016, at about 8:20 PM ,wherein victim identified as Ronie Labiaga Cabungcal, 30 years old, male, married, self-employed and a resident of said place was shot by two (2) unidentified male persons on board an orange and black raider 150 wearing a black jacket with hood with the use of cal .45 based on the three (3) fired cartridge cases found at the crime scene. Victim sustained three (3) gunshot wounds on his right cheek and was immediately brought to Pagadian City Medical Center but after a few minutes later, was pronounced dead at around 9:10 PM of same date by the attending physician. Suspects fled to unknown direction after the incident. Motive of the incident is still to be determined.

PAGADIAN CITY - Stabbing incident transpired at Jamisola St., Corner Bonifacio, Santiago Dist., Pagadian City at about 2:00 AM of October 2, 2016. The victim was identified as one Ariel Yurong Chavez, 33 years old, male, married, self-employed and a resident of Purok Makabibihag 2, Brgy. Santa Lucia, Pagadian City was stabbed by unidentified suspect with the used of ice pick.

Shooting Incident

TAMBULIG - Shooting incident transpired at Purok 7, Brgy Balugo, Tambulig, Zamboanga Del Sur On October 3, 2016, at about 12:45 AM where in victim identified as Gemar Sabanal y Villamor, 26 years old, single and a resident of said place was shot several times by unidentified suspect/s with the use of Cal .45. Victim sustained two (2) gunshot wounds at the back portion of his body that causes his untimely death. Recovered at the crime is scene one (1) fired cartridge case of cal .45. Said victim previously arrested by Tambulig MPS on August 05, 2014 by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by JUDGE CAROL M. MORALES of MTC Tambulig, ZDS under CC# 3073 for the crime of homicide. But subsequently released from the office of BJMP-Tambulig after the complainant signed and executed affidavit of desistance. Motive of the incident is still to be determined.
