Shooting Incident
DINAS - Shooting incident
transpired at about 2:30 PM of October 27, 2016 in Purok 3, Guniicolay, Dinas,
Zamboanga Del Sur. The victim was identified as Wilson Belda, 60, married, a
retired SSGT Philippine Army and a resident of said place. He was shot to death
by unidentified person. Investigation conducted by Dinas MPS disclosed that
the victim was shot by an unidentified person with the used of cal. 45 pistol,
based on the empty shell recovered at the crime scene. Dinas MPS is now
conducting follow-up investigation and hot pursuit operation against the
suspect for his possible arrest. Motive of the incident is still to be
determined.
Flash Flood Incident
RAMON MAGSAYSAY - Flash
Flood Incident occurred at about 4:00 AM of October 27, 2016, Ramon Magsaysay
MPS received a cellphone call from a concern citizen that a flash flood
occurred at Barangay Katipunan and Sitio Palayan of Brgy. Esperanza, all of
Ramon Magsaysay, ZDS due to heavy rain fall which resulted to the overflowing of
Dipolo River of said place. Upon receipt of the report, immediately Ramon
Magsaysay MPS dispatched First Responder Team led by SPO4 Leonardo R. Godinez
Jr. with cell phone number 09126388983, under the direction of PSI BENJAMIN C
NAPIGKIT, OIC. As a result of the incident, a total of Twenty four (24)
household and One hundred seven (107) individuals were evacuated with no
casualties and no crops damaged during the incident. All evacuees are currently
staying in their respective Barangay Evacuation Center.
Visitation of Affected Areas on Flash Flood
DUMINGAG - Elements of
Dumingag MPS led by PCI EDGAR RITUYA HINOCTAN, COP conducted follow-up
inspection and assessments to the low land barangays of Dumingag, Zamboanga del
Sur particularly at Barangay Bucayan, New Basak, Libertad, Upper Timonan, Lower
Timonan, Maralag, Manlabay and Upper Landing, all of Dumingag, ZDS in relation
to the flash flood incident that transpired OOA 6:30 PM of October 26, 2016.
Initial investigation disclosed that several rice and corn fields were flooded
and mostly newly planted rice were destroyed and damaged. It was further
disclosed that there were two (2) domesticated large cattle (Carabao and Cow)
drifted and carried away by the strong current of water. The cow was recovered
at Barangay Upper Timonan, Dumingag, ZDS while the carabao is not yet
recovered. Accordingly, at about 11:00 AM of October 27, 2016 certain Linda B.
Apay, a resident of Barangay Upper Landing, Dumingag, ZDS reported to Dumingag
MPS and requested to put into record that his husband identified as one Miran
Apay y Ticol were drifted by the strong current of water while attempting to
cross the Guitran River, Barangay Upper Landing, Dumingag, ZDS during the heavy
rain fall and until now the body of the said victim is not yet recovered.
