REPORTED INCIDENT - January 30, 2017

Shooting incident

GUIPOS - Shooting incident transpired at Purok 6, Barangay Bagong Oroquita, Guipos, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 4:30 PM of January 29, 2017, wherein the victim Gerome Fuentes, 15 years old, single and a resident of said place was shot by Romeo Revillas Camilo, 56 years old, married, farmer and a resident of the above-mentioned place with the use of a caliber .38 revolver. The victim sustained lone gunshot wound on his chest and was rushed to Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center for medical treatment. suspect was voluntarily surrendered to Guipos MPS and turn-over the caliber .38 revolvers loaded with five (5) live ammunitions and now detained at said station for proper disposition.

Vehicular Traffic Accident

LABANGAN - Vehicular traffic accident transpired at national highway of Barangay Upper Sang-An, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 5:10 PM of January 28, 2017, wherein Isuzu dump truck with plate nr. JDC 785 owned by ESR construction driven by Ruby Borres Romina, 49 years old and a resident of PNP Reservation, General Santos City accidentally bumped a single motorcycle Honda xrm 125 color black plate nr. 9942 jd driven by Randolf Hernandez Capotulan, 49 years old, married, security guard by occupation together with his back rider Rhea Mae Anne Cabillon Capotulan, 6 years old, Queen Hannah Cedeño Capotulan, 2 years old both sustained physical injuries and immediately brought to Mendero Hospital, Pagadian City, while Remedios  Cabillon Capotulan, 49 years old (driver’s wife) died on the spot. The victim’s resident at Purok Marikit, San Francisco Dist., Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur. both vehicles were traveling towards Labangan Municipality. Driver of said dump truck is now detained at Labangan MPS for proper disposition.

Shooting incident

TABINA - Shooting incident transpired at Purok Saniblangis, Barangay Poblacion, Tabina, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 11:00 PM on January 28, 2017wherein victim identified as Jorge Maghuyop Fernandez, 40 years old, single, jobless and a resident of Purok Saniblangis, Barangay Poblacion, Tabina, Zamboanga Del Sur was shot to death by Wenefredo Arinaza Sabroso, 56 years old, married, driver and resident of the above-mentioned place. Victim sustained gunshot wounds on the head. Suspect was arrested by the responding Pnp personnel of Tabina MPS. Recovered from his possession and control was one (1) unit caliber 45 pistol 1911 with serial number 281159 and now detained at said station for proper disposition..

Arrest of Wanted Person

TAMBULIG - Elements of Tambulig MPS conducted manhunt operation at Purok 6, Barangay San Vicente, Tambulig, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 6:00 PM of January 29, 2017. This resulted to the arrest of Robert Begontes Dorimon, 25 years old, married, farmer and a resident of said place. Said suspect was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest for the crime of qualified theft docketed under criminal case number 18404, issued by Hon. Albert B. Abragan, Regional Trial Court-Lanao Del Norte, 12th Judicial Region, Branch 03, Iligan City, dated December 05, 2016. The recommended bail bond amounted to forty thousand pesos (php40, 000.00). Arrested subject person is presently detained at Tambulig MPS for proper disposition.

Hacking Incident

LABANGAN - Hacking incident transpired at Purok Kadisnon, Barangay Langapod, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 5:45 PM of January 27, 2017, wherein the victim identified as Reynaldo Sumino Tibulong Jr., 14 years old, male and a resident of same place was hacked by his father identified as Reynaldo Manato Tibulong Sr., 46 years old, farmer and a residence of same place. Investigation disclosed that the suspect was under the influenced of liquor (tuba) and have a hatred conversation with the victim in which resulted to hacked his son hitting at the head. The victim was immediately brought to Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center for medical treatment. Elements of Labangan MPS immediately responded at the above mentioned place of incident which resulted to the arrest of the suspect. He is now detained at Labangan MPS for proper disposition and filling appropriate charges.

Vehicular Traffic Accident

BAYOG - Vehicular traffic accident transpired at Purok 10, Sitio Quibranza, Barangay Kahayagan, Bayog, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 5:00 PM January 27, 2017 wherein single mc, haojue, color black, 125 cc, no plate number driven by Johnny Boy Compasion Cabañog, 17 years old, student and a resident of purok 10, Sitio Quibranza Barangay Kahayagan, Bayog, Zamboanga Del Sur and single MC Sky go 125, wizard, color black, no plate number driven by Jose Cabuquid Fernandez, 50 years old, married, carpenter and a resident of Purok 8, Barangay Kahayagan, Zamboanga Del Sur with a back rider identified as Ronelo Tadle, 38 years old a resident of same placer. As a result, both driver sustained injuries same as the back rider and brought to Bayog Rural Health Unit for medical treatment and both single mc incurred damages and brought to Bayog MPS for proper disposition.

RAMON MAGSAYSAY - The person of Ronel Saldevar Larot, 44 years old, married, bet collector and a resident of Purok 2, Barangay Pasingkalan, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga Del Sur was arrested about 8:00 AM of January 27, 2017 for violation of illegal numbers game locally known as “suertres”. recovered from his possession and control, (p200.00) one (1) pc two hundred peso paper bill, (p300.00) three (3) pcs one hundred peso paper bills, (p300.00) fifteen (15) pcs twenty pesos paper bills, (p306.00) three hundred six pesos coins in different denominations, fifty two pcs (52) blank stub, one pc ballpen color orange, one (1) suertres result tape, one (1) unit Samsung (keystone 3) color white and single motorcycle mio 125, color blue, without plate number. Arrested subject person is presently detained at Aurora MPS for proper disposition.

PAGADIAN CITY - PNP personnel of Pagadian CPS led by Spo3 Carlos D Omentic and Po3 Marieson S Ganta conducted service of warrant of arrest at Jamisola Street, Barangay Sta. Lucia Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 4:00 PM of January 27, 2017. This resulted to the arrest of Isagani Belano Tiamting, 39 years old, married and a resident of  Purok Golden Shower, Barangay San Pedro, Pagadian City by virtue of a warrant of arrest issued by Hon. Harun Bagis Ismael, Executive Judge, RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 20, Pagadian City for the crime of murder docketed under criminal case number 7153-2k4, with no bail bond recommended, arrested subject person is presently detained at Pagadian CPS while waiting for final adjudication from court.

REPORTED INCIDENT - January 27, 2017

Stabbing Incident

PITOGO - Stabbing incident transpired at Purok Paglaum, Barangay Poblacion, Pitogo, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 8:00 AM of January 26, 2017. Wherein the victim identified as Nestor Batahoy y Belvar, 29 years old, married, baker, Filipino and a resident of Purok Riverside, Barangay Poblacion, Pitogo, was allegedly stabbed by certain Wanillio Batahoy Jr y Pasaylo, 28 years old, married, fisherman, Filipino and a resident of Purok Paglaum, Barangay Poblacion, Pitogo. Suspect voluntarily surrendered to Pitogo MPS and turn-over one (1) kitchen knife used in the commission of the crime. The victim sustained a multiple stabbed wounds on the different parts of his body and immediately brought to Pitogo Municipal Health Center for medical treatment.

PAGADIAN CITY - PNP personnel of Pagadian City Police Station led by SPO3 Carlos D Omentic and PO3 Marieson S Ganta under the direction of PSUPT KIRAM I JIMLANI, OIC conducted manhunt operation at Purok Sweetlove, Barangay, Dumagoc, Pagadian City at about 10:15 in the morning of January 26, 2017 and successfully arrested one Arnold Padayao Y Antoc, 36 years old, married and a resident of said place. The said suspect was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest for violation of Sec 6 (a) of R.A. 9262 docketed under Criminal Case Number 12716-2k16, issued by Hon. Benjamin R. Lanzaderas, Presiding Judge of RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 22, Pagadian City. The recommended bail bond for his temporary liberty is Five Thousand Pesos (₱5,000.00).

Arrest of Wanted Person

PAGADIAN CITY - PNP personnel of Pagadian City Police Station conducted manhunt operation at MOMS Laundry Express, San Pedro, Pagadian City at about 11:50 in the morning of January 24, 2017. This resulted to the arrest of one Reina Sagun Y Albe, 43 years old, married and a resident of Purok 7 Tonner, Barangay Tiguma, Pagadian City. The said suspect was arrested by virtue of a warrant of arrest for violation of R.A 9679 “Home Development Mutual Fund Law of 2009” docketed under Criminal Case Number 17526, issued by Hon. Pablito S Pielago Jr., Presiding Judge of MTCC 9th Judicial Region, Branch 2, Pagadian City. The recommended bail bond for his temporary liberty is Twelve Thousand Pesos (₱12,000.00).

Arrested of Criminal Group Wanted Person

LAPUYAN - A notorious wanted criminal gang member was arrested by the combined operatives of Provincial Intelligence Branch-Zamboanga Del Sur Police Office, Regional Intelligence Unit 9 and Lapuyan MPS conducted Police Operation (Service of WOA) at the Gymnasium of Prk. Guinhuran Bae, Brgy. Poblacion, Lapuyan, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 10:00 AM of January 26, 2017. Arrested was identified as Benhar Abdusalam Y Attan A.K.A. “Jaylene/Helen/Rajak” male, 44 years old, married, farmer, a resident of Purok 3, Barangay. Pampang, Lapuyan, Zamboanga Del Sur. Suspect was charged for the crime of kidnapping and serious illegal and several detention with ransom, docketed under criminal case no: 24820, issued by Hon. Gregorio V. Dela Pena, Presiding Judge, RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 12, Zamboanga City, listed number 12, member of Abdusalam Criminal Group in Zamboanga Sibugay. Accused is now detained at Lapuyan MPS for documentation and subsequently turn-over to SPO2 Reynate A. Mago- RIU9 Team Leader to be brought to Zamboanga City.

REPORTED INCIDENT - January 26, 2017

Shooting Incident

PAGADIAN CITY - Shooting incident transpired at Purok Sweet Love, Barangay Dumagoc, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 5:00 PM on January 25, 2017, wherein victims identified as Arnel Maglangit Balolong, 49 years old, male, prosthetic teeth maker and his live-in partner identified as Josephine Lapinid Polido, 41 years old, female, both residents of the above-mentioned place were shot to death by an unidentified suspect using caliber 45 pistol. Victims sustained lone gunshot wound on their heads which resulted to their instantaneous death. Suspect fled towards unknown direction after the incident onboard single mc Honda XRM color red. Recovered from the crime scene were two (2) fired cartridge case of caliber 45 pistol.  PNP personnel of Pagadian City Police Station are still conducting thorough investigation and follow-up operation for possibly identify, locate and arrest the suspect. Both victims now lie at gamalida funeral homes located at National Highway of Barangay Tuburan, Pagadian City. Motive of the incident is yet to determine.

Seaman Arrested for violation of RA 9262

MOLAVE - A seaman was arrested by Molave MPS for violation of RA 9262 during police operation conducted at Plaridel Street, Barangay San Pedro, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 10:00 AM of January 25, 2017. The arrested seaman was identified as Reynaldo Gentapao Hijastro Jr., 44 years old, male, married, seaman by profession and resident of said place. The suspect has a pending warrant of arrest for violation of section 5, paragraph a of RA 9262 in relation to section 6 and violation of section 5 paragraph e sub paragraph 2 of ra 9262, in relation to section 6 docketed under criminal case numbers 2014-10-2754 and 2014-10-2755, issued by Hon. Jaime B. Caberte, Presiding Judge, RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 23, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur dated 05 august 2014 with bail bond recommended of eight thousand pesos (Php 8,000) and forty thousand pesos (Php 40,000). He is now temporarily detained at Molave MPS awaiting court disposition.

Rape Suspect Arrested

SAN MIGUEL - Combined personnel of Dimataling MPS and San Miguel MPS conducted joint police operation (service of arrest warrant) at Purok Bonifacio, Poblacion, San Miguel, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 11 AM on January 25, 2017. The operation resulted to the arrest of Rogelio Monares Barnas a.k.a. “Boy Barnas”, 60 years old, widow, carpenter by occupation and resident of the above-mentioned place. Suspect has a pending warrant of arrest for the crime of rape, docketed under criminal case number 13-056, issued by Presiding Judge Edliberto G. Absin, Regional Trial Court, Branch 29, San Miguel, Zamboanga Del Sur with no bail bond recommended. He was brought to San Miguel MPS and subsequently transferred to Dimataling MPS while awaiting court disposition.

PAGADIAN CITY - PNP personnel of Pagadian City Police Station conducted Police Operation (Service of Arrest Warrant) At Purok 1, Barangay Bogo, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 9:45 AM on January 25, 2017. The operation resulted to the arrest of Michael Repolidon Balase, 37 years old, married and resident of Purok 1, Barangay Bogo, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur. The suspect was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of rape, under article 266-a (paragraph 1) of RPC, docketed under criminal case number 12537-2k15, issued by Hon. Benjamin R Lanzaderas, Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 22, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur. arrested subject person is presently detained at Pagadian CPS for proper disposition.

Robbery Incident

MOLAVE - The cashier of RBM Store identified as Adelyn Rubio together with her co-workers while on their way home at Burgos Street, Barangay Makugihon, Molave, Zamboanga del Sur At about 9:20 in the evening of January 23, 2017was robbed by three (3) unidentified male suspects armed with short firearms and carted away the hand bag which contained Twenty Thousand Pesos (Php20, 000.00), cell phones and other personal belongings.

Robbery Incident

MOLAVE - The Porcing Fruit stand, situated at Public Market area, Barangay Maloloy-on, Molave, Zamboanga del Sur was robbed by riding in tandem suspects on board on a single motorcycle, color black. Initial investigation conducted disclosed at about 8:30 PM of January 23, 2017, her worker/helper identified as Elma Paculba was about to close the said place when suspect suddenly appeared in the area armed with a short firearm pointed to the right side portion of her body and the other one suspect served as a look-out and declared hold-up. Suspects took away the money which was put inside the basket amounting to Three Thousand Pesos (Php3, 700.00). Thereafter, suspects hurriedly left the area on board their single motorcycle heading to unknown direction.

LABANGAN - Operatives of Labangan MPS led by PO3 Cristopher M Omamos conducted manhunt operation at Purok 2000, Barangay Combo, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 9:30 in the morning of January 23, 2017. Arrested was Mocaliden Guimba Tingao, 32 yo, farmer and a resident of said place. This is by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Attempted Homicide, docketed under Criminal Case Number 1641-6, issued by Hon. Norlinda Amante Descallar, Acting Presiding Judge of MCTC, 9th Judicial Region, Labangan Zamboanga del Sur. The recommended bail bond for his temporary liberty is Twelve Thousand Pesos (Php12, 000.00). He is now temporarily detained at Labangan MPS lock-up cell while waiting commitment order from the court.

Shooting Incident

KABATAN - Shooting incident transpired at Purok Mapailobon 2, Barangay Kabatan, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 3:00 pm of January 21, 2017 wherein victim identified as Romnick Aquino Redula, 29 years old, male, fisherman and a resident of same place was shot by a certain Jelvin Magarao Alias “J0ng J0ng”, and a resident of Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur with the use of unkn0wn cal. after receiving the report. Said victim was br0ught to MRH for treatment but also forwarded to Provincial Center, Dao, Pagadian City due to his critical c0nditi0n. PNP elements of Sagun MPS conducted hot pursuit operation for the possible arrest of the suspect.

Vehicular Accident

DUMALINAO - Vehicular traffic accident transpired at Purok Tiligaynon, Rebokon, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 3:45 PM of January 21, 2016wherein utility vehicle (isuzu) color yellow, driven by Quirino Patricio Tumanday, 30 years old, married and a resident of Purok Dancing Lady, San Agustin, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur and single motorcycle wizard, color black with plate no. sy5494 driven by Tata Tambagal and a resident of Lapuyan, Zamboanga Del Sur with two (2) back rider named Ruth Tambagal, 38 years old and Decia Abang, 45 years old and also a resident of aforesaid place. As a result, the driver and two back riders were immediately rushed to Margosatubig Hospital for immediate medication. Both vehicles were brought to Dumalinao MPS, for proper disposition.

This resulted to the arrest of Peter Canol Oaminal, 45 years age, married and a resident of Purok Mangga, Barangay Santo Ñino, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur by virtue of a warrant of arrest for violation of sec. 5 (a) R.A 9262, docketed under criminal case number 12913-2k16, issued by Hon. Benjamin Lanzaderas, Presiding Judge Of RTC, Branch 22, Pagadian City Dated January 6, 2017. With bail bond recommended amounted to five thousand pesos (₱5,000.00). arrested subject person is presently detained at Pagadian CPS for proper disposition..

Arrest of Wanted Person

PAGADIAN CITY - Two wanted persons were nabbed by operatives of Pagadan CPS during police operation (service of warrant of arrest) at Purok Orchids, Barangay Bomba, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 9:00 AM on January 21, 2017. Arrested were Junerie Bunghanoy, 27 years old, male, carpenter and a resident of Purok Orchids, Barangay Bomba, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur and his father Eduardo Sugayno Bunghanoy, 60 years old, married, farmer, and also a resident of same place. Prior to the arrest, upon arrival at said place, PNP personnel led by Spo2 Carlos D Omentic, warrant server identified themselves as police officers and informed the suspect to submit himself for the crime he committed but refused and resisted by holding a bolo tacked on his waist and prompted the officers. Upon notice, the father of the suspect came in front of him and spreading his hand and picked and prompted again the arresting officers to prepare for the worst. The arresting officers call for back-up and duty react team arrived and immediately takes a legitimate course of action and arrested the two persons. suspect Junerie Bunghanoy has a standing warrant of arrest for the crime of qualified trespass to dwelling docketed under criminal case no. 17515 issued by Hon. Joel G Vercide, Presiding Judge, MTCC9, Pagadian City with bail bond recommended amount to (p12,000.oo) . Arrested persons are now under the custody of PCPS for proper disposition.

REPORTED INCIDENT - January 21, 2017

Shooting Incident

PITOGO - Shooting incident transpired in Purok 5, Sitio Tijome, Barangay Balongbalong, Pitogo, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 9:30 PM on January 19, 2017. The victim was identified as Wilson Enanod Ebot, 53 years old, married, Barangay Tanod and resident of said place. Initial investigation disclosed that the victim was seated outside his neighbor’s house when he was shot by an unidentified person with an unidentified type of firearm. The suspect later fled to an unknown direction. The victim sustained a lone gunshot wound on his right leg and was immediately brought to Pitogo Rural Health Center for treatment. The motive of the incident is said to be land dispute.

Stabbing Incident

MOLAVE - Stabbing incident has transpired at Guillen Street, Barangay Makuguihon, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur on January 20, 2017 at about 7:45 PM wherein one Eleonor Molejon Gabuya, 59 years old, a resident of Barangay Maloloy-On, Molave, Zamboang Del Sur was stabbed to death by her live-in partner identified as Dionisio Duhaylungsod Campaner Aka Isoy. Investigation disclosed that the victim had a misunderstanding with her live-in partner due to jealousy that resulted in stabbing. Victim sustained stabbed wounds on her left armpit and breast and immediately rushed to a nearest hospital for treatment but declared dead on arrival by her attending physician. The suspect fled after the incident. Elements of Molave MPS are still conducting hot pursuit operation for the possible arrest of the suspect.

MARGOSATUBIG - Stabbing incident transpired in Purok Malipayon, Barangay Tiguian, Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur on January 20, 2017 at about 4:00 am wherein the victim was identified as Antonio Berallo, 40 years old, resident of Barangay Guinimanan, Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur who was stabbed by Danilo Cometa, 41 years old, married, resident of Barangay Tiguian, Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur, with the use of a bladed weapon. The victim sustained stab wounds on the different parts of his body which resulted in his untimely death. The suspect fled to unknown direction after the incident. responding elements of Margosatubig MPS conducted a pursuit operation which arrested the suspect at about 12:00 noon of the same date in Centro Tiguian, Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur. the arrested suspect is temporarily detained at Margosatubig MPS lock-up cell while a murder case is now being prepared for immediate fling in court.

REPORTED INCIDENT - January 19, 2017

Shooting Incident

LOURMAH - Shooting incident transpired at the National Highway in Purok 2, Barangay Lourmah, Zamboanga Del Sur at around 11:00 AM of January 18, 2017. The victim was identified as Zaldy Lamatan Estrada, 44 years old, married, a resident of Barangay Dawa, Josefina, Zamboanga Del Sur. Accordingly, he was driving his motorcycle Honda XRM 125, color blue and white combination bearing plate number JA75206 loaded with one (1) box containing assorted grocery items  and was heading towards the municipality of Josefina, Zamboanga Del Sur. He was tailed by two unidentified riding in tandem with unknown type of motorcycle and upon reaching at the place of incident, the suspects with no apparent reason shot the victim several times with the use of a caliber .45 pistols based on five (5) fired cartridge cases of same caliber recovered at the crime scene. The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds and immediately brought to LTMPC hospital, located at Barangay Poblacion, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur but was pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician. Elements of Mahayag MPS are now conducting hot pursuit operation for the possible identification and arrest of the suspects. Motive of the incident is still to be determined.

Stabbing incident

GUIPOS - Stabbing incident has transpired at Purok 3, Barangay Poblacion, Guipos, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 3:00 PM of January 18, 2017. Wherein the victim identified as Ariel Benon Taganos, 39 years old, married, Chief Tanod, a resident of Purok 1, Barangay Lintum, Guipos, Zamboanga Del Sur, was stabbed by Romeo Tuastumban Tohoy, 44 years old, married, a resident of Purok 6, Barangay Lintum, Guipos, All Of Zamboanga Del Sur. initial investigation disclosed that the victim and the suspect were under the influenced on intoxicating liquor and a heated arguments ensued. The suspect chased the victim with a bladed weapon and stabbed him hitting on the right portion of his chest. The victim was immediately brought to Guipos Rural Health unit for medical treatment and subsequently transferred to Zamboanga Del Sur for further treatment. Follow-up operation conducted that resulted in the arrest of the suspect. Suspect is temporarily detained at Guipos MPS for proper disposition. Motive of the incident is still to be determined.

GUIPOS - A violator of RA 10591 was arrested in Purok 2, Barangay Dalapan, Guipos, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 10:30 AM of January 18, 2017. Guipos MPS identified the arrested as Samuel Valconcha Atis Aka Nonoy, 41 years old, married a resident of said place. This is by virtue of standing warrant of arrest for violation of ra 10591 docketed under criminal case number 13244-2k16 issued by Hon. Felix B Rodriguez Jr., Presiding Judge of RTC9, Branch 18, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur with bail bond recommended of one hundred thousand pesos (₱100,000.00) for his temporary liberty. Suspect is temporarily detained at Guipos MPS for proper disposition.

Shooting Incident

AURORA - Shooting incident has transpired at Sitio Tugaya, Barangay Romarate, Aurora, Zambaoanga Del Sur at about 4:00 PM of January 16 2017. Wherein victims identified as Liza Flores Salon, 52 years old, married, a businesswoman and her two (2) son’s namely Kenneth Michael Flores Salon, 25 years old, married, Ralf Lizbert Flores Salon, 18 years old, single and driver Richard Jay Delos Reyes Redoble, 38 years old, married all residents of Purok Rosas B, Barangay San Jose, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur on board on a Mercedes Mb100 van, color white en route from Tubod, Lanao Del Norte going to Barangay Poblacion, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur and when they arrived at Sitio Boundary, Barangay Anonang, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur. Liza Salon noticed that PO1 Isagani B Colipano along the roadside fixing his motorcycle with a broken drive chain, they stopped and invited PO1 Colipano to hitch a ride with them going to Barangay Poblacion Aurora and for him to buy a new set of drive chain. Wherein at about 4:00 PM, upon reaching at Sitio Tugaya, Barangay Romarate, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur, A Toyota In nova, color gray, with no plate number attached coming from their behind and boarded with unidentified  passengers suddenly fired four (4) gunshots hitting the Mercedes mb100 van. At this juncture, PO1 Isagani B. Colipano retaliated using his caliber .9mm service pistol which made the Toyota in nova evaded and immediately fled and reroute to Kapatagan, Lanao Del Norte. Luckily, none of them were hit. Elements of Aurora MPS are still conducting follow-up investigation for the possible identity of the suspects. Motive of the incident is still undetermined.

Arrest of Wanted Person

MOLAVE - Elements of Molave MPS conducted manhunt operation at Purok Peña, Barangay Simata, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur on January 16, 2017 at about 1:55 PM. This resulted in the arrest of Efren De Luna Nuena, 28 years old, married, a resident of the above mentioned place. The accused was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of acts of lasciviousness, docketed under criminal case number 7250, issued by Hon. Mary Ann D. Real-Jamero, Presiding Judge, Of MTC, 9th Judicial Region, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur dated November 22, 2016 with bail bond recommended of twelve thousand pesos (₱12,000.00) for his temporary liberty. Subject person is temporarily detained at Molave MPS for proper disposition.

LABANGAN - Elements of Labangan MPS conducted manhunt operation at Purok Miracle, Barangay Upper Campo Islam, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur on January 16, 2017 at about 4:45 PM. This resulted in the arrest of Jecan Soco Magno, 23 years old, single and Junrey Ocabat Enomo, 24 years old, with live-in partner both farmers, all residents of Purok Miracle, Upper Campo Islam, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur. subject persons was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of frustrated murder docketed under criminal case number 13235-2k16, issued by hon. Felix B. Rodriguez Jr. Presiding Judge Of RTC Branch 18, Zamboanga Del Sur with bail bond recommended of two hundred thousand pesos (₱200,000.00) each for their temporary liberty. The arrested persons are temporarily detained at Labangan MPS for proper disposition.

Shooting Incident

SOMINOT - Shooting incident occurred along the Provincial road of Barangay Barubuhan, Sominot, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 7:30 in the evening of January 17, 2017. The victim was identified as SPO4 Nestor Ompad Cabatingan, MESPO of Midsalip MPS, 47 years old and a resident of Purok San Vicente, Barangay Libertad, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur. He was shot by two (2) unidentified suspects along the Provincial road of Barangay Barubuhan, Sominot, Zamboanga del Sur. The victim was able to retaliate and fired four (4) times against the suspects that caused the suspects to fled-away on board on a blue XRM Single MC. Victim sustained gunshot wound on his left leg and rushed to Midsalip Infirmary Hospital for medical treatment. The responding team recovered four (4) fired cartridge case of caliber 9mm and one (1) deformed slug of cal. 45. Motive of the incident is yet to be determined. Sominot MPS personnel are now conducting thorough investigation for the possible identification and arrest of suspects.

Robbery Incident

DUMALINAO - Robbery incident transpired at the store of Pedro Aleria Rosalinda, 53 years old, married, businessman, and a resident of Barangay Pag-Asa, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del. The store was located at Public Market, Barangay Pag-Asa, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur was robbed by an unidentified suspect. Investigation conducted disclosed that based on the CCTV footage of said merchandise, the incident took place around 1:30 AM of January 13, 2017. The suspect used a metal rod to loosen the steel roll-up door and thereby getting a chance to enter inside the merchandise. Suspects carted away cash money of different denominations and assorted cigarettes placed inside the white sack with an estimated total damage of more or less (Php 70,000). Suspect exited around 2:30 AM at said merchandise. PNP personnel of Dumalinao MPS are conducting thorough investigation to possibly identify, locate and arrest the suspect.

Stabbing Incident

SAN MIGUEL - Stabbing Incident transpired on January 11, 2016 at about 5:35 PM at Purok Osmeña, Poblacion, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur wherein the victim was identified as one Leonardo Cabunilas y Villarin, 59 yeard old, married, carpenter and a resident of Purok 1, Sayog, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur was stabbed by the suspect identified as Joel Albellar y Vilan, 43 years old, married, farmer and a resident of Purok 1, Sayog, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur using a hunting knife. Victim sustained stabbed wound on the abdominal part of his body and rushed to Zamboanga Del Sur Medical center, Dao, Pagadian City.  Suspect fled to unknown direction after the incident.

Fire Incident

PITOGO - Fire Incident transpired at about 8:30 PM of January 11, 2017 at Purok 5, Barangay. Sugbay Dos, Pitogo, Zamboanga Del Sur wherein the small house made of light materials owned by one Nina Arnaiz and a nipa hut owned by Mercy Arnaiz was allegedly set by fire by suspect identified as one Rico  Gupio y Benting, 30 years old, single, farmer and a resident of Purok 2, Brgy Sugbay Dos, Pitogo, Zamboanga Del Sur. PNP team of Pitogo MPS responded to the said place and upon arrival thereat, they saw the aforesaid suspect ran towards his house 100 meters away from the crime scene armed with a bolo which prompted the responding team to chased the suspect. When said suspect was already inside the house, Pitogo MPS led by Police Inspector Orlyn Leyte tried to negotiate the suspect and asked him to voluntarily surrender peacefully, and likewise, the Barangay Captain Rollie Rambo together with the father of the suspect also tried to negotiate but the suspect refused to surrender. More or less Thirty (30) minutes of negotiation, the suspect violently refused to cooperate with the authorities which forced the PNP elements to forcibly open the house and at about 10:30 in the evening of same date and on that very instance, the suspect Rico Gupio attacked Police Inspector Orlyn Leyte with the use of a bolo which prompted the said Police Officer to use a reasonable force to neutralize by shooting his lower left leg. The suspect then was immediately placed under arrest and brought to Pitogo Rural Health Unit for medical treatment. Appropriate charges are now being prepared against the suspect for proper filing in court.

Arrest of High Value Target on Illegal Drugs (MPS Level)

AURORA - Combined elements of Anti-illegal Drugs Operatives of Zamboanga Del Sur Police Office, Provincial Public Safety Company and Aurora MPS conducted a joint buy-bust operation at Purok Alay Kapwa, Barangay Balide, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 11:30 AM of January 11, 2017. This resulted to the arrest of one (1) Daniel Quiño Ceniza (Top1 HVT in Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur with COPLAN “PAKO” Drug Link under Jhonny Cuizon – Surrenderee), 45 years old, married, jobless and a resident of Purok Alay Kapwa, Barangay Balide, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur. Suspect was arrested when agreed to sell to PO1 Yuki C Doyugan who posed as buyer of one (1) piece small heat sealed transparent sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be “shabu” in exchange on the Two Hundred Peso bill (Php200,00.00) buy-bust money. Confiscated from his possession and control the following items, to wit: ten (10) pieces small heat sealed transparent sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be “shabu”; and two (2) pieces One Hundred Peso bill buy bust money. Further, arrested during said operation one (1) Khid Anthony Tubiano Semblante (surrenderee) 35 years old, jobless, and a resident of Poblacion Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur. Confiscated from his possession and control two (2) pieces small heat sealed transparent sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be “shabu”. Arrested suspects are now temporarily detained at PDEA locked-up, Provincial Capitol Complex, Santo Niño District, Pagadian City while cases for violation for Sec 5, 11 and 12, Article II of R.A 9165 are now being prepared for immediate filing in court.

Shooting Incident

PAGADIAN CITY - Shooting incident has transpired at Purok 2 Durian, Barangay Lourdes, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 6:10 AM of January 10, 2017. The victim was identified as Nonito Cadan Sumili, 34 years old, married, a resident of the above mentioned was shot by unidentified person. Victim sustained gunshot wound on his chest that resulted to his death. Pagadian City Police Station is still conducting follow-up investigation for the possible arrest and identity of the suspect. Motive of the incident is yet to be determined.

Stabbing Incident

DIMATALING - Stabbing incident transpired at Purok 4, Barangay Libertad, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 4:30 PM of January 9, 2017. The victim is identified as Rudy Marquilla Albarico, 52 years old, married, a resident of Purok 6, Barangay Baluno, Dimataling, who was stabbed by Rolando Himongala Ebarial, of legal age, married, a resident of Purok 5, Barangay Libertad, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur. investigation disclosed that prior to the incident a heated argument ensued between them. The victim pulled his chisel and stabbed the suspect several times. Fortunately, the suspect was able to evade and consequently pulled his bolo and hacked the victim. Victim sustained multiple hacked wounds on the different parts of his body and was brought to Margosatubig Regional Hospital for treatment while the suspect fled after the incident. Dimataling MPS is still conducting follow-up operation for the possible arrest of the suspect. Motive of the incident is personal grudge.

Suicide Incident

PAGADIAN CITY - Alleged Suicide Incident occurred at about 2:20 PM of January 8, 2017 in Barangay Danlugan, Pagadian City. The Pagadian City Police Station identified the victim as Conrado Palong-Palong Traya, 60 years old, male, married and a resident Purok Gabi-1, Barangay Danlugan, Pagadian City. The victim committed suicide with the use of a handgun. He sustained gunshot wound on his head and was rushed to Hofeliña Hospital for medical treatment but few minutes after was declared dead by the attending physician. Based on the X-ray result, the slug of undetermined caliber was still in the victim’s head.

Shooting Incident

DINAS - Shooting incident occurred at Barangay Legarda 3, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 7:00 PM of January 8, 2017. The Dinas MPS identified the victim as Edgardo Albana Bernante, 44, married, farmer by occupation and a resident of above-mentioned place. He was shot by unidentified suspect with the used of unknown type of caliber of FAs. Victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds on the different parts of his body and was rushed to Margosatubig Regional Hospital for medical treatment. Suspect fled to unknown direction after the incident. Responding team of Dinas MPS led by PO3 Gil Capitanea recovered one (1) slug of unknown type of caliber at the crime. Dinas MPS personnel conducted hot pursuit operation for the possible identification and arrest of suspect.

TUKURAN - Shooting incident transpired along National Highway Particularly At Purok Waling-Waling, Barangay Camanga, Tukuran Zamboanga Del Sur at about 02:10 AM of January 07, 2017 wherein the victims were identified as Archie Acotanza Oblimaga, 20 years old, male, single and a resident of Purok Orchids, Barangay Sto. Niño, Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Norte and Richard Dichos Porquillo, 23 years old, male, single and a resident of Purok 07, Barangay Balugo, Tambulig, Zamboanga Del Norte was shot by unidentified person. Victims sustained gunshot wounds on the different parts of their body and rushed to Pagadian City Medical Hospital for immediate medical treatment. Suspect fled to unknown direction. tukuran mps conducted thorough investigation for possible apprehension of the suspect and to determine the motive of the incident.

DINAS - Shooting incident transpired at Purok Pasayan, Barangay Benuatan, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 4:00 PM January 07, 2017 wherein victim identified as Manan Maguindanaun, 46 years old, and a resident of Sitio Sumulom,  Barangay  Nian  Dinas, Zamboanga  Del  Sur was shot by unidentified suspect. The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds that resulted to his untimely death. Suspect fled to unknown direction. Recovered from the crime scene were four (4) empty shell of m-16 rifle. dinas mps conducted follow up operation to determine the motive of the incident and possible arrest of the suspect.

DINAS - Shooting incident transpired at Purok 3, Barangay Beray, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 4:35 AM on January 06, 2017 wherein victim identified as Ariel Misperos, legal age, married, and a resident of above mentioned place was shot by Edgar Quirante, 44 years old, married, farmer, and a resident of Purok 4, Barangay Beray, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur. Victim sustained gunshot wound on left portion of his body and was brought to the Margosatubig Regional Hospital for medical treatment. Suspect was arrested by the responding Pnp elements of Dinas MPS. Recovered from his possession one unit 38 revolvers deface serial number, one hunting knife and one empty shell of 38 revolver.  Furthermore, it was found out that the suspect has a standing a warrant of arrest for the crime of frustrated murder, issued by Edilberto Absin Presiding Judge with Criminal Case 0-7038 Of RTC 9, Branch 29. Motive of the incident is personal grudge. Arrested subject person is presently detained at Dinas MPS for proper disposition.

Stabbing Incident

LAPUYAN - Stabbing incident transpired at Purok 4, Barangay Tipasan, Lapuyan, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 3:00 PM on January 7, 2017 wherein victim identified As Antonio Sindod Ladiagaron, 84 years old, married and a resident of Purok Katibong, Poblacion, Lapuyan, Zamboanga Del Sur was stabbed by Hepolito Andagao Ngo, of legal age and a resident of Purok 5, Barangay Tipasan, Lapuyan, Zamboanga Del Sur. The victim sustained lone stabbed wound on his left outer portion of his breast and was rushed to Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center for medical treatment. Suspect was arrested by the responding pnp personnel of Lapuyan MPS. Recovered from his possession and control was one (1) hunting knife. Arrested subject person is presently detained at Lapuyan MPS pending for filing of appropriate charges in court.

SAN MIGUEL - Shooting incident transpired at about 9:30 in the evening of January 03, 2017 at Purok 1, Barangay Limonan, San Miguel, Zamboanga Del Sur wherein victim identified as Greg Bongca Y Gloria, 35 years old, male, with live-in partner, farmer, and a resident of Purok 1, of said Barangay was shot by unidentified suspect.

Vehicular Accident

DUMALINAO - Motor vehicular accident transpired at about 3:20 PM of 04 January 2017 along the National Highway of Purok Camansi, Barangay. Camanga, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur involving 2 utility vehicles: V1 - utility vehicle passenger van color white with plate number KCL 648; and V2- utility vehicle passenger van color red with plate number 093003.

Fire incident

MARGOSATUBIG - Fire incident transpired at about 08:00 PM of January 04, 2017 at Barangay Tiguian, Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur wherein the house owned by a certain Luciana Octubre, of legal age, female, widow, farmer and a resident of aforementioned place was razed by fire. Estimated damage was more or less P60, 000.00.

Motor Vehicular Traffic Accident

RAMON MAGSAYSAY - Motor Vehicular Traffic Accident transpired at National Highway of Purok 5, Barangay Esperanza, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga Del Sur on January 3, 2017 at about 1:45 PM. The single MCs involved described as : Honda Scooter Click 125 series, bearing plate number KC94786, owned and driven by Arcillas Alexes Lapaz, 43 years old, male, married, businessman and resident of Bayanihan Street, Barangay 35, Cagayan de Oro City; and One (1) single MC Honda XRM 125 series, bearing plate number 090110, driven by Vergelio Apao Y Delos Santos, 47 years old, male, married, farmer and resident of Purok 3, Barangay Magsaysay, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga del Sur together with his back riders/spouse Reymart Dagohoy And Verluna with their daughter Veniz Reanne Dagohoy. As a result, the single MC Honda Scoter Click 125 series accidentally crashed into the reflector zed post which resulted to the instantaneous death of the driver Arcillas Alexes Lapaz, while the back rider of single MC Honda XRM Veniz Reanne Dagohoy was brought to Blancia Hospital, Molave, Zamboanga del Sur and his driver Vergelio Apao Y Delos Santos voluntarily surrendered to the responding PNP officer of Ramon Magsaysay MPS.

DUMINGAG - Shooting incident transpired in front of Tagaro Compound, Barangay Caridad, Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur wherein victim identified as Jason Astellero Y Eroy, 22 years old, single, resident of Purok Golden Shower, Barangay San Pablo, Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur was shot by an unidentified riding criminals onboard single MC Honda wave, wearing bonnets armed with caliber 45 pistol suddenly shot the victim. As a result, victim sustained lone gunshot wound on his left hip and was rushed by the PNP personnel of Dumingag MPS onboard patrol car at LTMPC hospital for immediate medical treatment. Evidence recovered from the crime scene was one (1) fired cartridge case of caliber 45 pistols and one (1) live ammunition of same caliber. Motive of the incident is yet to be determined.

AURORA - Elements of Aurora MPS conducted police operation through service of warrant of arrest at Purok Sagrada, Poblacion, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 11:05 AM of January 2, 2017. This resulted to the arrest of Leonilyn Arabis Jayme, 33 years old, female, married, businessman by occupation and a resident of the abovementioned place. Suspect has a standing warrant of arrest for the crime of two (2) counts estafa issued by Presiding Judge Hon. Jaime B Caberte, Presiding Judge Of Branch 23 Rtc 9th Judicial Region, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur docketed under criminal case no. 2015-10-3013 with bail bond recommended amounting to sixteen thousand pesos (P16, 000.00) and criminal case no. 2015-10-3014 with bail bond recommended amounting to twenty two thousand pesos (P22, 000.00). Arrested subject person is presently detained at Aurora MPS for proper disposition.

Alleged Accidental Firing

KUMALARANG - Alleged accidental firing transpired at Purok 8, Barangay, Picanan, Kumalarang, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 12:35 AM of January 1, 2017,. Initial investigation conducted disclosed that one Julito Andus Manson, 38 years old, single, member of Civilian Volunteer’s Organization (CVO) and a resident of same place accidentally fired his caliber 357 hitting at his mid-calf. Further investigation revealed that said firearm has no license nor said victim has any documents to possess the same. Victim was rushed to Kumalarang Rural Health Unit for immediate medical treatment and later referred to Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center for proper medications while his unlicensed caliber 357 (deface serial number) loaded with one (1) fired cartridge case was confiscated for ballistics examination. Kumalarang MPS is now preparing a case for violation of R.A 10591 for filling in court against him.

Violation of RA 10591 (Indiscriminate Firing).

AURORA - Operatives of Aurora MPS arrested a farmer for violation of RA10591 after he was accused of illegally discharges his personal firearm at about 2:00 PM of January 1, 2017 at Barangay Commonwealth, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur. The suspect was identified as Rico Capuno Y Paquibot, 34 years old, single with live- in partner, farmer and resident of Purok 1, Barangay Bag-ong Mandaue, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur. Recovered from his possession and control was one (1) unit cal. 357 revolver, three (3) live ammunitions of cal.38, two (2) live ammunition of cal. 357, one (1) empty shell of cal. 357 and one (1) black holster. Suspect is now temporarily detained at Aurora MPS lock up cell while appropriate case is now being prepared for filing in court.
