REPORTED INCIDENT - January 19, 2017

Shooting Incident

LOURMAH - Shooting incident transpired at the National Highway in Purok 2, Barangay Lourmah, Zamboanga Del Sur at around 11:00 AM of January 18, 2017. The victim was identified as Zaldy Lamatan Estrada, 44 years old, married, a resident of Barangay Dawa, Josefina, Zamboanga Del Sur. Accordingly, he was driving his motorcycle Honda XRM 125, color blue and white combination bearing plate number JA75206 loaded with one (1) box containing assorted grocery items  and was heading towards the municipality of Josefina, Zamboanga Del Sur. He was tailed by two unidentified riding in tandem with unknown type of motorcycle and upon reaching at the place of incident, the suspects with no apparent reason shot the victim several times with the use of a caliber .45 pistols based on five (5) fired cartridge cases of same caliber recovered at the crime scene. The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds and immediately brought to LTMPC hospital, located at Barangay Poblacion, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur but was pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician. Elements of Mahayag MPS are now conducting hot pursuit operation for the possible identification and arrest of the suspects. Motive of the incident is still to be determined.

Stabbing incident

GUIPOS - Stabbing incident has transpired at Purok 3, Barangay Poblacion, Guipos, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 3:00 PM of January 18, 2017. Wherein the victim identified as Ariel Benon Taganos, 39 years old, married, Chief Tanod, a resident of Purok 1, Barangay Lintum, Guipos, Zamboanga Del Sur, was stabbed by Romeo Tuastumban Tohoy, 44 years old, married, a resident of Purok 6, Barangay Lintum, Guipos, All Of Zamboanga Del Sur. initial investigation disclosed that the victim and the suspect were under the influenced on intoxicating liquor and a heated arguments ensued. The suspect chased the victim with a bladed weapon and stabbed him hitting on the right portion of his chest. The victim was immediately brought to Guipos Rural Health unit for medical treatment and subsequently transferred to Zamboanga Del Sur for further treatment. Follow-up operation conducted that resulted in the arrest of the suspect. Suspect is temporarily detained at Guipos MPS for proper disposition. Motive of the incident is still to be determined.

OPERATIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORTS

RA 10591 Violator Nabbed

GUIPOS - A violator of RA 10591 was arrested in Purok 2, Barangay Dalapan, Guipos, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 10:30 AM of January 18, 2017. Guipos MPS identified the arrested as Samuel Valconcha Atis Aka Nonoy, 41 years old, married a resident of said place. This is by virtue of standing warrant of arrest for violation of ra 10591 docketed under criminal case number 13244-2k16 issued by Hon. Felix B Rodriguez Jr., Presiding Judge of RTC9, Branch 18, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur with bail bond recommended of one hundred thousand pesos (₱100,000.00) for his temporary liberty. Suspect is temporarily detained at Guipos MPS for proper disposition.
