SAN MIGUEL - Stabbing
Incident transpired on January 11, 2016 at about 5:35 PM at Purok Osmeña, Poblacion,
San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur wherein the victim was identified as one Leonardo
Cabunilas y Villarin, 59 yeard old, married, carpenter and a resident of Purok
1, Sayog, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur was stabbed by the suspect identified
as Joel Albellar y Vilan, 43 years old, married, farmer and a resident of Purok
1, Sayog, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur using a hunting knife. Victim sustained
stabbed wound on the abdominal part of his body and rushed to Zamboanga Del Sur
Medical center, Dao, Pagadian City.
Suspect fled to unknown direction after the incident.
Fire Incident
PITOGO - Fire
Incident transpired at about 8:30 PM of January 11, 2017 at Purok 5, Barangay.
Sugbay Dos, Pitogo, Zamboanga Del Sur wherein the small house made of light
materials owned by one Nina Arnaiz and a nipa hut owned by Mercy Arnaiz was
allegedly set by fire by suspect identified as one Rico Gupio y Benting, 30 years old, single, farmer
and a resident of Purok 2, Brgy Sugbay Dos, Pitogo, Zamboanga Del Sur. PNP team
of Pitogo MPS responded to the said place and upon arrival thereat, they saw
the aforesaid suspect ran towards his house 100 meters away from the crime
scene armed with a bolo which prompted the responding team to chased the
suspect. When said suspect was already inside the house, Pitogo MPS led by Police
Inspector Orlyn Leyte tried to negotiate the suspect and asked him to
voluntarily surrender peacefully, and likewise, the Barangay Captain Rollie
Rambo together with the father of the suspect also tried to negotiate but the
suspect refused to surrender. More or less Thirty (30) minutes of negotiation,
the suspect violently refused to cooperate with the authorities which forced
the PNP elements to forcibly open the house and at about 10:30 in the evening
of same date and on that very instance, the suspect Rico Gupio attacked Police Inspector
Orlyn Leyte with the use of a bolo which prompted the said Police Officer to
use a reasonable force to neutralize by shooting his lower left leg. The
suspect then was immediately placed under arrest and brought to Pitogo Rural
Health Unit for medical treatment. Appropriate charges are now being prepared
against the suspect for proper filing in court.
OPERATIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORTS
Arrest of High Value Target on Illegal Drugs (MPS Level)
AURORA - Combined elements
of Anti-illegal Drugs Operatives of Zamboanga Del Sur Police Office, Provincial
Public Safety Company and Aurora MPS conducted a joint buy-bust operation at
Purok Alay Kapwa, Barangay Balide, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 11:30 AM of
January 11, 2017. This resulted to the arrest of one (1) Daniel Quiño Ceniza (Top1
HVT in Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur with COPLAN “PAKO” Drug Link under Jhonny
Cuizon – Surrenderee), 45 years old, married, jobless and a resident of Purok
Alay Kapwa, Barangay Balide, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur. Suspect was arrested
when agreed to sell to PO1 Yuki C Doyugan who posed as buyer of one (1) piece
small heat sealed transparent sachet containing white crystalline substance
believed to be “shabu” in exchange on the Two Hundred Peso bill (Php200,00.00)
buy-bust money. Confiscated from his possession and control the following
items, to wit: ten (10) pieces small heat sealed transparent sachets containing
white crystalline substance believed to be “shabu”; and two (2) pieces One
Hundred Peso bill buy bust money. Further, arrested during said operation one
(1) Khid Anthony Tubiano Semblante (surrenderee) 35 years old, jobless, and a
resident of Poblacion Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur. Confiscated from his
possession and control two (2) pieces small heat sealed transparent sachet
containing white crystalline substance believed to be “shabu”. Arrested
suspects are now temporarily detained at PDEA locked-up, Provincial Capitol
Complex, Santo Niño District, Pagadian City while cases for violation for Sec
5, 11 and 12, Article II of R.A 9165 are now being prepared for immediate
filing in court.
