REPORTED INCIDENTS –March 4-5, 2015

Shooting in Aurora

Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur - Shooting incident occurred at about 9:00 PM of March 4, 2015 in Purok Birhen Sa Regla, Barangay Bag- Ong Maslog, Aurora. The victim was identified as Marita Itao Y Rosal, 50, married, Barangay Kagawad of Barangay Balimbingan, Tukuran. He was shot to death by unidentified suspect. initial investigation conducted disclosed that the victim together with her husband identified as Enrique Itao Y Mondejar, neighbor Mario Curbo and her son-in-law Thaddeos Tigbao Y Manco coming from their nipa hut and on their way home when waylaid by the suspect without any reason shoot the victim using unknown caliber firearm. The suspects allegedly carted away her wallet containing cash money amounted to more or less four thousand pesos (P4, 000) and assorted id's. The victim sustained one gunshot wounds at her chin causing her instantaneous death. A thorough investigation is now being conducted by Aurora MPS for possible arrest of the suspect.

Shooting in Lapuyan

Lapuyan, Zamboanga Del Sur – Shooting incident occurred at about 7:00 PM of March 5, 2015 in Barangay Mulom, Lapuyan. The victim was identified as Noel Rubio Y Ginubad, 28, single. He was shot to death by suspect identified as Rito Cundae Y Rebuagas, 25, single, farmer, both residents of the aforementioned place.  Initial investigation disclosed that the victim and suspect were having a drinking spree at the store of Jojo Mangatol and were on their way home when a heated argument erupted between them. When they reached near the house of the suspect at the corn field, the suspect shot the victim once with the used of unknown caliber. He sustained gunshot wound on his chin and exited on his nape that caused his untimely death. The suspect fled to unknown direction after the incident. The Lapuyan MPS is still conducting hot pursuit operation for possible arrest the suspect.

Stabbing in Pagadian City

Pagadian City - Stabbing incident occurred at about 9:00 PM of March 5, 2015 in Purok San Francisco, Barangay Buenavista, Pagadian City. The victim was identified as Danilo Tagacano Y Santarin, 43, married a resident of said place. He was stabbed by the suspect identified as Edgar Doble Y Quirante, 49, married, construction worker.  Investigation showed that the suspect and the victim were having a drinking session at Boy Ramig Store and having a heated argument. The suspect then went home and took a rest, however, few minutes later the victim arrived at the suspects house and without any apparent reason the victim beat the suspect and fell down to the floor. The victim keeps on mauling the suspects in which the suspect responded by grabbing a 11 ½ inches knife and stabbed the victim twice hitting the right and left side portion of his body. The victim sustained two stabbed wounds on his body. He was immediately brought to Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center for medical treatment but was later declared dead on arrival by the attending physician. The suspect is now temporarily detained at the Pagadian City Police Station.

Stabbing in Labangan

Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur - Stabbing incident transpired at Purok Ragsak, Barangay Tawagan Norte, Labangan at about 3:00 AM of March 5, 2015. The victim was identified as Julius Cristobal, 26, single, laborer, a resident of same place. He was stabbed once hitting his abdomen using a knife measured about 10 inches by the suspect identified as Renaldo Cabezas Y Dela Peña, 36, married, farmer, a resident of Barangay Tulawas, Pagadian City.  Investigation showed that the victim was milling grains of rice when a heated argument ensued between the victim and the suspect which led to the incident. The victim was brought to Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center for medical treatment while suspect voluntarily surrender to the responding PNP elements of Labangan Police Station. He was brought to the said police station for proper filing of criminal charges against him

Fire in Dimataling

Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur - Fire incident occurred at about 11:30 A.M of March 5, 2015 in Barangay Kagawasan, Dimataling.  Investigation conducted disclosed that  the fire broke up to a warehouse/coconut kiln containing dried coco product and other materials which was owned by Mr. Samson Insong, 51, businessman. Accordingly, his son leaving at the furnace to get some water to drink at their house, however,  a minute after he notice a huge of smoke coming out at lower portion of kiln structure and fire started blazing. The responding fire station of Dinas and Pagadian City declared totally fired out at about 12:30 PM of same date. The incident leaves no injuries and casualties while the estimated damage of property was about P700.000.00 pesos more or less.

Man with Multiple Charges Nabbed in Pagadian City

Pagadian City – A 41-year old man with multiple charges was arrested by operatives of Pagadian City Police Station in Barangay Manga, Pagadian city at about 11:00 AM of March 5, 2015. Police Superintendent Glenn M. Dulawan, Pagadian City Police Chief, identified the arrested as Refrendo Legaspi Y Antiga, 41, single, resident of Barangay Mecolong, Dumalinao. He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the following crimes: attempted homicide with criminal case number 17058 issued on the 16th day of January 2015; grave threats with criminal case number 17055 issued on February 02, 2015; and slight physical injuries with criminal case number 17057 issued on February 02, 2015, all issued by Hon Presiding Judge Joel Vercide, 9th Judicial Region, MCTC Branch 01, Pagadian City. The bail was fixed to P12, 000.00), P2, 000.00) for the crime of grave threats and P2, 000.00) for the crime of slight physical injuries. He is now temporarily detained at the said police station while waiting for court final adjudication.

Woman Nabbed in Pagadian City for Estafa

Pagadian City – A 41-year old woman was arrested by operatives of Pagadian City Police Station in Barangay Tiguma, Pagadian City at about 7:30 AM of March 5, 2015. Police Superintendent Glenn M. Dulawan, Pagadian City Police Chief, identified the arrested woman as Maria Nila Talpis Y Gonzales, 41, married a resident of said place. The arrest was made by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of Estafa with criminal case number 10385-2k11 issued by Hon Presiding Judge Dennis P. Vicoy, 9th Judicial Region, Regional Trial Court, Branch 20, Pagadian City issued on April 3, 2014. The bail was fixed at eighty thousand pesos (P 80,000.00) for her temp liberty. She is now temporarily detained at the said police station while waiting for final court adjudication.

3 Tabina Pushers Nabbed in Drug Bus

Tabina, Zamboanga Del Sur – Three suspected drug pushers were arrested by the operatives of Tabina MPS and PDEA 9 in a drug-buy bust operation in Barangay Culabay, Tabina at about 5:30 AM of March 5, 2015. Police Senior Inspector Raymundo S. Mangual, Tabina Police Chief, identified the arrested persons as Roger De Sagun Y Escaño, 47; Jessie Pastor Y Ortega, 51 and Rose Pastor Y Magbanua aka Ilongga, 44. confiscated from them were two (2) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu (buy-bust), three (3) heat sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu with four (4) aluminum foil, P500 marked money, cash money of P820, one Samsung color black, one transparent cellophane used in packing, three (3) pieces of lighter. The three suspects are now being detained at Tabina MPS while preparing appropriate charges against them.
