REPORTED INCIDENTS –January 25-26, 2016

PRESS RELEASE
ROBBERY INCIDENT
On or about 5:00 in the afternoon of January 25, 2015 at Purok Santan, San Jose District, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur wherein the house owned by Mrs. Erlinda Tapales Y Martinez, 67 years old, female, widow, resident of said place was ransacked by an unidentified suspect/s. based on the investigation conducted by Pagadian City Police Station disclosed that suspect gain entrance by forcibly destroying the padlock of the masters bedroom of said house and upon getting the chance carted away the following: one (1) Chinese gold bracelet worth Thirty Thousand pesos (Php 30,000.00); one (1) unit graduation ring worth Nine Thousand pesos (Php 9,000.00); and one(1) unit bangle worth  Twenty Five thousand pesos(Php25,000.00). PNP elements of Pagadian City Police Station conducted a follow-up investigation for the possible identity and arrest of suspect/s. VEHICULAR ACCIDENT IN TUKURAN
On or about 7:00 in the evening of January 26, 2015 at national highway of Purok 3, Barangay Navalan, Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur wherein one (1) single motorcycle Skygo, driven by Jhonny Umaan Y Blanco, together with his back rider/youngest brother identified as Crisanto Umaan Y Blanco, both of legal age, farmer by occupation, resident of Purok 4, Barangay Navalan, Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur accidentally bumped into a one (1) unit passenger jeep, bearing plate number JVH 130 and owned by Mrs. Trinidad Cabaltera of legal age, married and  resident of same place. based on the investigation conducted by Tukuran Police Station disclosed that said single motorcycle was traversing from Barangay Balintawak, Aurora Municipality bound to their residence of the above mentioned place but upon reaching at the national highway of Purok 3, Barangay Navalan, Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur the driver of same motorcycle accidentally loses its control over the steering bar and thereby  accidentally swerved and bumped into passenger jeep which was being parked along the shoulder of the road of the abovementioned place. as a result, driver of motorcycle Jhonny Umaan Y Blanco to include its back rider/youngest brother Crisanto Umaan Y Blanco sustained serious injuries on their head and different parts of their bodies that resulted to their instantaneous death while the passenger jeep incurred damaged on its step board. Subject motorcycle is now under the custody of Tukuran Police Station for investigation and proper disposition of the case.

VEHICULAR ACCIDENT IN DUMALINAO
On or about 5:00 in the afternoon of January 26, 2015 at national highway of Purok Marang, Barangay Camalig, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur wherein victim identified as Charlean Larede Y Brusi, 13 years old, grade 8 pupil of Lala National High School and a resident of Purok Tampos, Barangay Upper Sibatang, Pagadian City was accidentally bumped by a single motorcycle Haojue 125, color blue with temporary plate number, driven by Mario Sumandag Y Dalis, 53 years old, married, farmer by occupation,  resident of Barangay Ditoray, Pagadian City. Based on the investigation conducted by Dumalinao Police Station disclosed that said pedestrian/victim Charlean Larede Y Brusi was traversing on foot from lala national high school going to her home of the aforementioned place and upon reaching at national highway of Purok Marang, Barangay Camalig, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur was accidentally bumped by said motorcycle due to slippery road condition. As a result, said victim sustained injuries on her head and hands and same was rushed to Jamellarin Hospital for immediate medical treatment. Subject driver to include the motorcycle are now under the custody of Dumalinao Police Station for proper disposition of the case.

REPORTED INCIDENTS –January 24, 2015

PRESS RELEASE
Suicide Incident in Lakewood
Zamboanga Del Sur - Suicide incident took place in Barangay Poblacion, Lakewood at around 4:00 in the evening of January 24, 2015. The victim was identified as Rico Sotomayor Y Catag, 28 years old, married, farmer, resident of the aforesaid place.  of incident. initial investigation conducted revealed that prior to that incident at around 4:00 o’clock in the afternoon, the said victim who was under in the influence of liquor expressed, told his wife identified as Robelyn P. Sotomayor that he will attempt to get suicide for unknown reasons, however, his wife did not take the  words of her husband seriously. While preparing in their house she noticed that her husband did not came home which started her to worry. She asks for assistance to her relatives and to her neighbors. In the midst of their search they noticed the shirt and a pair of slippers of the victim near the lanzones tree a walking distance from their residence and as they look at the top of the mentioned tree they saw the body of the victim hanging with his neck meanly place at the cross branch with estimated twenty (20) feet high. The relatives and neighbors of the victim climb at the said tree and tried to save him however victim has no sign of life at all. Lakewood MPS now conducting follow- up investigation regarding the incident.

OPERATIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORTS
Man Held in Chokepoint for Drugs in Tigbao
Zamboanga Del Sur – Police Operatives of RPSB9 led by Police Senior Nijam Salem and Tigbao Police Station led by Police Senior Inspector Norbert Velonza while conducting joint random check/chokepoint operation along the Barangay Road Of Purok Gumahan, Barangay Limas, Tigbao, at about 1:00 PM of January 24, 2015, intercepted and apprehended one (1) unit single motorcycle Honda XRM color red, bearing plate no. 6301-JB which was about to evade the established checkpoint. The driver who was acting suspiciously was then requested to present/show his driver’s license, OR and CR of his driven single MC for verification purposes, however, he failed to present his driver’s license or any identification cards. The driver was asked to open his motorcycle u-box which the police found and discovered in a plain view one (1) shredded plastic cellophane color light blue placed on the top portion of the u-box and shredded cellophane clearly showed inside three (3) transparent plastic cellophane containing several pieces of heat sealed small transparent plastic sachets of white crystalline substance believed to be shabu including several pieces of folded aluminum foils. The suspect was later identified as Rene Daob Y Francisco, 21 years old, single and a resident of Balangasan, Pagadian City. He was brought and detained to Tigbao MPS for further investigation. The seized items consisting of eighteen (18) heat sealed small transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu with estimated gross weight of more or less 1.00 gram was deposited to the crime lab office for proper documentation and for examination. The Tigbao MPS is now preparing a case against the suspect for violation of R.A 9165 and R.A 4136.

Several Logs Seized in Tigbao
Zamboanga Del Sur – Several logs was recovered during police operation on illegal logging in Barangay Begong, Tigbao, at about 4:00 in the afternoon of January 24, 2015. The recovered natural grown species of forest trees were hidden and concealed at the forested vicinity of the above mentioned place unattended. The logs were already cut/sliced in to different dimensions for lumber and ready to be transported. The DENR representative identifies the trees as antipolo, luctob, and lawaan. The sliced tress was about one hundred (100) more or less pieces and was scaled with an estimated board foot of two thousand (2000) more or less. Recovered cut trees were brought to Tigbao MPS for safekeeping.

REPORTED INCIDENTS –January 20-21, 2015

PRESS RELEASE
1 Hurt in Pagadian Stabbing
Pagadian City – Stabbing Incident occurred in Barangay Sto. Nino, at around 8:13 P.M. of January 20, 2015. The victim was identified as Christopher Ediang, of legal age, married, carpenter and a resident of said place. Investigation disclosed that the victim was inside his house together with his relatives celebrating the birthday of his mother when suddenly stabbed by his brother identified as a certain Ronald Millabe Y Ediang, 25 years old, also a carpenter, hitting his left arm. Prior the incident, both victim and suspect were having a drinking session and heated argument occurred between them prompting the suspect to stabbed the victim. The suspect immediately left the crime scene going towards unknown direction after the incident while victim was immediately brought to Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center for treatment. The Pagadian City Police Station is now preparing appropriate criminal complaint against the suspect for filing in court.

Man loses his MC in Pagadian City
Pagadian City – A 17-year old man         spot while driving his red/black rusi 100 single mc bearing temp plate number 092021 with engine number rf150fmg-gy505327 and chassis nr rftxcgl04gy505327, and traversing along Bonifacio St, Barangay Santiago at around 12:45 in the morning of January 20, 2015, and upon reaching corner Pulmones St, he accidentally collided to a unidentified black/white single MC and after the said incident, the back rider of the said unidentified single mc wearing black jacket approached him and ordered him to hand over his mc key. Suspect then drove away to unknown direction.

Merchandise Robbed in Pagadian City
Pagadian City - A robbery/ hold-up incident occurred at about 7:00 in the evening of January 21, 2015, wherein RDM general merchandise located at Duterte St. Barangay Sta. Lucia, Pagadian City, owned by one Ricky Mapait Y Dalinding, 37, married, was robbed by three (3) unidentified suspects. Investigation conducted disclosed that while the owner was inside his merchandise located at the abovementioned place, three (3) unidentified male suspects suddenly came to his presence. They drew theirs guns and pointed it to him and to the people inside the said establishment and declared hold- up. One of the suspects was wearing a black bull cap and black jacket armed with caliber 45 pistols. He was the one who gunpoint to the owner. The other suspect was wearing a white jacket and also armed with caliber 45 while the other suspect (driver) wearing red t-shirt and also armed with caliber 38 revolver. The three (3) suspects hurriedly left the said merchandise after taking the twelve thousand pesos cash (P 12,000.00), one (1) passport, one (1) checked book of Asian United Bank, one (1) PNB ATM card, one(1) metro bank card, one(1) unit Alcatel Cellphone worth of four thousand pesos (P4,000.00), one(1) unit Samsung cellphone worth of three thousand pesos (P 3,000.00), one (1) unit Natasha cellphone worth of one thousand six hundred pesos (php1,600.00) with load airtime of one thousand one hundred (php1,100.00). They carted away the total amount of twenty one thousand seven hundred pesos (php21, 700.00) and fled to unknown direction on board a black and white Honda XRM single MC. The Pagadian City Police Station is now conducting thorough investigation to possibly identify the perpetrators.

Balot Vendor Shot Dead in Pagadian City
Pagadian City – Shooting incident took place in- front of Pagadian City Medical Center in Barangay San Francisco at around 11:25 in the evening of January 21, 2015. The victim was a male balot vendor with 5’5’’ in height, slim build, wearing yellow shirt and red pants. He was shot to death by unidentified perpetrators at the aforementioned place. Investigation conducted disclosed that the victim was sitting near the generator machine of the mentioned hospital when suddenly shot twice by a suspects on boarding a black single Honda XRM MC with the used of .45 Cal pistol based on the two (2) spent shell recovered at the crime scene. The victim was hit at his abdomen and head which causes his instantaneous death. Suspects immediately sped up negotiating Cabrera St and then disappeared towards unknown direction after the incident. The motive of the incident is still to be determined by the responding operatives of Pagadian City Police Station.

Jobless Nabbed for Raping a Coed in Tukuran
Zamboanga Del Sur – A jobless man was arrested by operatives of Tukuran Police Station after he accused of allegedly attempted to rape a 28-year old college student inside their residence in Barangay Sto. Niño, Tukuran at around 1:30 in the morning of January 21, 2015. Arrested was Wilson Carcueva Y Sandoval, 27 years old, single, jobless and also resident of said place.  Initial investigation conducted disclosed that the victim was soundly sleeping inside her bedroom situated at the above mentioned place when she was awaken by suspect who already on top of her body wearing only brief. Prompting the victim to pushed the suspect away from her. The victim’s cousin who was living adjacent to the victim’s house was informed about the incident. He responded and accosted the suspect who was still inside the house sitting beside the victim armed with stainless knife with broken handle and a stolen one (1) unit cellphone Nokia color green owned by the victim. Responding operatives of said police station later handcuffed the suspect. He is now detained at said police station while appropriate case is being prepared for filing in court.

Cadaver Found Floating in Margosatubog
Zamboanga Del Sur - A female cadaver was found along the sea shore of Purok Gumamela, Barangay Igat, Margos at around 7:00 in the morning of January 21, 2015. A certain Alberto Bustamante a resident of the above mentioned place discovered the said unidentified female victim lying lifeless at the sea shore whose age is estimated to 65 to 70 years old with more or less five feet in height, long hair, wearing maong pants, red jacket and strife t shirt color violet and grey. The victim believed to be drowning at the sea that causes her death since no injury found on the body of the victim. She was later identified Helaria Combestra, native of Dinas. Accordingly, she walks away from Margosatubig Regional Hospital while being a watcher of his husband. Since then, she was nowhere to be found and accordingly, she was so depressed because his husband was being confined at the hospital.

REPORTED INCIDENTS –January 17, 2015

PRESS RELEASE
Stabbing Incident in Dinas
Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur - Stabbing incident occurred in Barangay Legarda Uno at about 6:00 PM of January 17, 2015. The victim was identified as Bienvinido Tubal Y Tagaylo of legal age, married, farmer and a resident of the abovementioned place. He was stabbed by the suspect identified as Remark Tubal, 16 years old, farmer and also resident of same place. Initial investigation conducted disclosed that victim and suspect was walking along their way home at Sitio Dupongan of same municipality when heated argument ensued between them prompting the suspect to stabbed the victim several times with the used of hunting knife. The victim sustained three (3) stabbed wounds on his breast and immediately brought to Chavez Clinic for immediate treatment and subsequently brought to Dao Medical Center in Pagadian City for further medical treatment. The suspect immediately fled towards unknown direction after the commission of the crime. The motive of the incident was misunderstanding. The Dinas MPS conducted hot pursuit operation for the possible arrest of the suspect but turned futile. A case is now referred to DSWD for proper.

Vehicular Accident in Kumalarang
Kumalarang, Zamboanga del Sur – Motor vehicular accident occurred at about 3:35 PM of January 17, 2015 along the National Highway particularly at purok-4, Barangay Bogayo, Kumalarang, wherein one (1) Rural Transit Bus bearing plate no. JVK 832, body no. 9070, driven by Lucilo Basinang Y Coronel, 38 years old, married and a resident of Don Andres, Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay Province, was misrouted and fell beside the road of the aforementioned place. Initial investigation conducted by Kumalarang MPS disclosed that the vehicle travelling along National Highway from Pagadian City bound to Ipil Zamboanga Sibugay Province and upon reaching at the aforementioned placed accidentally encountered a mechanical defect and brake malfunction which beyond the control of the driver. The Rural bus accidentally misrouted and fell beside the road. The vehicle incurred damage while the following passengers sustained minor injuries. They were identified as John Vergara, 17 years old; Fretzel Joy Arang, 18 years old; Shirly Biñas, 47 years old; Aiza Casol, 23 years old and Fiona Jane Casol. They were immediately rushed by the responding PNP team to Kumalarang Rural Health Unit for first aid.

REPORTED INCIDENTS –January 15-16, 2015

PRESS RELEASE
Hacking in Tigbao
Zamboanga Del Sur - Hacking incident occurred in Barangay Begong, Tigbao at around 10:30 PM of January 15, 2015. The victim was identified as Renato Pata Y Sumambod alias “Nonon”, 45, married, farmer, resident of Purok Beti, Barangay Begong. The victim, who was walking on his way home, was hacked by two suspects identified as Rey Vazquez Y Galleros, 19 and June Mar Bentoco Y Galleros, 32, both residents of said place. They concealed themselves at the grassy and forested areas of the above place of incident and waylaid the victim and without apparent reason allegedly hacked the victim several times. He sustained two (2) hacked wounds on his face and one (1) hacked wound on the left part of his body. He was immediately brought by his relatives to Pagadian Medical Center for medical treatment and now in stable condition. The Tigbao MPS conducted Intel driven operation and comprehensive planning against the fleeing suspects at about 12:00 AM of January 16, 2015, that led to their arrest. They are now under the custody of said police station while preparing appropriate charges against them in court.

Shooting in Pagadian
Pagadian City - Shooting incident occurred at about 4:40 PM of January 16, 2015 at Barangay Manga, Pagadian City. The victim was identified as Lilian Alvarado Real, 52, married, female and a resident of Barangay Bulawan. She was shot to death by suspect identified as Gil Benabaye Y Perater a.k.a. “Junie”, 42, resident of Barangay Manga. Based on the investigation conducted by Pagadian CPS disclosed that both victim and suspect were engaged in a heated argument at the abovementioned place when suddenly the latter (suspect) pulled out caliber 45 pistol and shot the former (victim)  hitting on his left cheek and exited on the back of her head that resulted to his instantaneous death. The suspect fled towards unknown direction after the incident while responding PNP elements of Pagadian City Police conducted a hot pursuit operation to possibly track down the fleeing suspect. The evidence recovered from the crime scene is two (2) fired cartridge case of Cal 45 pistol and to be turned- over to Provincial Crime Laboratory for ballistic examination. The cadaver now lies at Gamalinda funeral homes. A case is being prepared for filing in court against the abovementioned suspect.

No. 12 Most Wanted Man Nabbed in Lakewood
Zamboanga Del Sur – Lakewood Top 12 Most Wanted Person was arrested in Barangay Poblacion, Lakewood led by Police Inspector Roel J. Japay at around 6:00 PM of January 16, 2015. Suspect Jonifer Perdiguez, was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Acting Judge Ensor A. Pantaran of 13th MCTC of Kumalarang, Lakewood and Bayog for the crime of attempted homicide aggravated with the use of an unlicensed firearm docketed under criminal case no. 1731-1. Accused is now temp detained at said police station while waiting the commitment order from the issuing court.

Cafgu Member Arrested for Violation of RA 10591 and Direct Assault
Zamboanga Del Sur - A CAFGU member who was armed with caliber 22 revolvers and under the influence of liquor was arrested during police operation after he got wild and challenge anybody for a duel, in Barangay Dawa, Josefina at around 1:30 AM of January 16, 2015.  Police Senior Inspector Hailil Kunairi, Josefina Police Chief, identified the arrested suspect as Benjie Tumatob Y Calderon, 36, married, CAFGU member, and resident of said place. He was charged for violation of RA 10591 (firearms law and ammunition act) and direct assault. Based on the investigation conducted by Josefina MPS disclosed that prior to the incident, said victim who was armed with a caliber 22 revolver believed to be under the influence of liquor suddenly got wild and challenge anybody for a duel. He was then pacified by police operatives purposely to calm down and to avoid any incident to happened, however, suspect refused to surrender to the authorities. When the police operative found opportune time, he grabbed the suspect and a short grappled took place which the suspect was successfully disarmed. Seized from his possession and control was one (1) magnum caliber 22 revolver bearing serial number German RG 337096 with three (3) live ammunitions. Arrested suspect is now temporarily detained at Josefina MPS while a appropriate case for violation of RA 10591 and direct assault are now being prepared for filing in court.

Report on Stabbing Incident
Pagadian City - Stabbing incident transpired in Barangay Tiguma, Pagadian City at around 11:00 PM of January 16, 2015. The victim was identified as Candelario Catalan Y Caballero, 19 years old, sales attendant of Jose Cachero Sari-Sari Store located at the said place and temporarily residing at Barangay Tiguma, Pagadian City. The victim sustained lone stabbed wound at the right portion of his neck and was brought immediately to zamboanga Del Sur medical center for immediate medical treatment. Investigation conducted disclosed that the victim was allegedly stabbed by unidentified perpetrator at about. He then asked for helped at the house near the incident. The alleged suspect fled to unknown direction after the incident. The Pagadian City Police Station is now conducting follow- up investigation to possibly arrest the suspect.

VIOLATION OF R.A. 9262 AND R.A. 10591 IN PAGADIAN CITY
On or about 11:00 in the evening of January 16, 2015, Pagadian City Police Station received a cellular phone call from concerned citizen informing that a mauling incident transpired at Purok Sampaguita, Barangay San Pedro Pagadian City wherein victim identified as Avelina Joroz Y Bontilao, 44 years old, married, resident of said place was allegedly mauled by her husband identified as Michael Joroz Salera, 45 years old, married and a resident of said place. PNP elements of Pagadian City Police Station led by PInsp Harry Ratunil Velez, officer of the day, immediately proceeded and responded to the reported place of incident. upon arrival of the responding team  and with the aid of the victim, suspect was arrested on her store located at the aforementioned place and confiscated from the possession and control of the suspect one (1) unit caliber 45 pistol  Armscor, bearing serial nr 1243043 with one (1) magazine loaded with seven (7) live ammos of same caliber. suspect is now temporary detained at Pagadian City Police Station lock-up cell while a case for violation of R.A. 10591 known as the “Comprehensive Firearms And Ammo Regulation Act”  and R.A. 9262 known as “The Anti-Violence Against Women And Their Children Act Of 2004" now being prepared for immediate filing in court against the suspect.
