REPORTED INCIDENTS –February 18, 2015

RESS RELEASE
SUICIDE INCIDENT

On or about 10:40 in the morning of February 18, 2015, Guipos Police Station received a report that a suicide inc transpired at Purok Magsaysay, Barangay Balongating, Guipos, Zamboanga Del Sur. PNP elements of Guipos Police Station led by PSInsp Usman Julwadi Edding, OIC together with rural health unit - Guipos personnel proceeded to the scene of incident to conduct ocular inspection and investigation. Initial investigation conducted disclosed that victim identified as one (1) Romeo Lazaraga Y Calimot, 51 years old, single, jobless and temporarily residing at said place was discovered dead at about 10:00 in the morning of same date by his niece Caren Saavedra inside the house of certain Roly Lazaraga located at aforementioned place. The victim committed suicide by hanging himself with the use of a rope tied around his neck. Motive of the incident is still to be determined. After the investigation, health personnel of Guipos RHU conducted post mortem examination to the dead body of the victim.

VEHICULAR ACCIDENT

On or about 6:30 in the evening of February 18, 2015 along national highway, Purok Kamanggahan, Barangay Curvada, Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur wherein victim identified as Eulalia Quebuen Y Jimenez 66 years old, married, retired public school teacher and a resident of the above-mentioned place was accidentally sideswiped by a single motorcycle SYM bonus x 110cc color red and black combination bearing plate no. 409UG owned by Mr. Usop Karagcaban Y Enca of Purok Mamayog, Barangay Panduma Sr, Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur and driven by Khardal Karagcaban Y Rubin 17 years old, single, ZSMIT student and also resident of same barangay. initial investigation conducted disclosed that the said single motorcycle was negotiating its way from ZSMIT, Balangasan District, Pagadian City bound for his residence and upon reaching at the above-mentioned place when victim suddenly crossed the road going to her residence coming from the opposite side of the road and the driver did not noticed the victim and due to closeness of distance it was accidentally sideswiped on the right side of her body that caused her to fell down on the right side of the road and the single motorcycle  sprawled on the concrete road. As a result thereof, victim sustained severe contusion/injuries on the left portion of her head and fractured left upper arm and was immediately rushed to Pagadian City Medical Center, Pagadian City for immediate medical treatment while the driver also sustained injuries on his left lower arm and contusion on his upper right arm. The driver including the single motorcycle was brought to Tukuran Police Station for proper disposition.

CAMPAIGN AGAINST ILLEGAL DRUGS IN LABANGAN

On or about 5:00 in the afternoon of February 18, 2015  elements  of  Labangan Police Station led  by  PSInsp  June  Akiate  Lawingan, OIC  conducted   check point  along  national  highway  of    Barangay Lower Campo  Islam, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur   wherein   one   Honda  XRM blue bearing  plate nr  JA 8477  driven  by  Canuto Rabanos  Y  Ato, 43  years  old, married,  businessman, with  two  back riders  identified  as   Concepcion Alisbo Y  Olarte, 56 years old, married,   beautician   and  alma cabaraon  y   pranza, 46  years old,  married, businesswoman   all   resident  of   Sta.  Lucia  Distict, Pagadian City was arrested by said PNP elements for having possession of 22 pcs  of  cellophane  stick  containing crystalline substance believed  to  be  shabu    and  13  aluminum  foils. suspects were  immediately  arrested and body  search  was conducted by same PNP elements and another  8pcs  of  cellophane  stick containing crystalline substance believed  to  be  shabu  were  found   inside  the  underwear  particularly  at   front  portion  used  by    Conception Alisbo  Y  Olarte.    Apprehended   suspects   are now detained at Labangan Police Station for proper disposition.
