Stabbing Incident in San Miguel
Zamboanga Del Sur – one
Laden Padua Y Ching, Barangay Tanod of Tapian, San Miguel municipality of this
province personally turned- over the living body of suspect identified as
Rodrigo Moyido Y Pelong, married, construction worker by occupation and resident
of said place. Based on the investigation conducted by San Miguel MPS disclosed
that on or about February 2, 2015 at around 10:00 in the morning, said suspect
who was believed to be under the influence of liquor and armed with kitchen
knife got wild during the meeting held at Barangay Market located at the
abovementioned place. a minutes later, suspect was then pacified by Danny
Aranez Navasca, Chief Tanod of said place purposely to calm down but suspect
ignored and disregard the advice/ warning of said tanod. He then suddenly
stabbed the victim Danny Aranez Navasca hitting on his palm. The suspect was
then successfully disarmed and arrested by the Barangay tanods of said place.
An appropriate case was already filed against the suspect and same was subsequently
detained at provincial jail of Zamboanga Del Sur upon slant after issuance of
commitment order from the court.

Fishermen Held in Margosatubig for Illegal Fishing
Zamboanga Del Sur –
Police elements of Margosatubig Police Station and Bantay Dagat of Margosatubig
LGU, apprehended three
fishermen for violation of municipal ordinance 01-98/R.A 8550 illegally engaged
in illegal fishing using tari-tariat at Bait-Bait, Josefina, Margosatubig, at
about 9:00 in the morning of February 5, 2015. The three fishermen were
identified as Noel Marzo Y Borongan, Earl John Tinambakal and Bryan Alvarez,
all residents of Igat-Island, Margosatubig. They were subsequently detained at
said police station for proper disposition of the case.
