VEHICULAR ACCIDENT

On or about 5:00 in the afternoon of May 22, 2015, one Elias Magallanes, 61 years old, married, a resident of barangay Poblacion, Alto, Sergio Osmena, Zamboanga del Norte, reported to Sergio Osmeña Municipal Police Station that on or about 4:50 in the afternoon of same date, a vehicular traffic accident occurred along the National Highway of barangay Poblacion Bajo, Sergio Osmeña, Zamboanga del Norte wherein one (1) Ten wheeler truck with plate number RML 431 owned by Denish T. Canonigo of barangay Bulatok, Pagadian City Zamboanga del Sur and driven by Abraham Juntado y Salas Jr, 30 years old, married a resident of 085 Santa Maria, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur, with his two companion identified as Mark Eric Polinar and Engr. Kirby Xavier Marie Panase. Initial investigation conducted by the responding team of Sergio Osmeña Municipal Police Station disclosed that the vehicle fully loaded with cement while travelling from Pagadian City going to Sitio Diwacat, barangay Cogon, Dipolog City, upon reaching at the blind curve of the place of accident, the driver applied brake and lost control on his driven vehicle and accidentally bump on the parked motorcycle with no plate number attach owned by Cesar Patria of Barangay Uno, Poblacion Katipunan, Zamboanga Del Norte while being parked at the opposite side of the road that causes the ten wheeler truck turn upside down. The motorcycle incurred damage on its headlight, side cover, handle bar, crush guard to include fuel tank and was temporarily deposited Sergio Osmeña Municipal Police Station while the ten wheeler truck is still at the place of accident considering that the steering wheel was cut and need a towing truck to vacate. The driver of the ten wheeler truck sustained severe injuries while his two (2) companion suffered minor injuries and was immediately brought to Sergio Osmeña Municipal Health Center for medication. HACKING AND STABBING INCIDENT IN SAN MIGUEL

On or about 7:00 in the evening of may 23, 2015 at Barangay Langilan, San Miguel, Zamboanga Del Sur wherein two victims identified as: one (1) Luzminda Gumala Embang, 37 year old, single, jobless; and one (1) Fernando Malinis Embang, 80 year old all resident of Purok 4, Barangay Langilan, San Miguel, Zamboanga Del Sur was hacked and stabbed by the suspect identified as one (1) Junrey Calma Lautan, 24 year old, married, farmer and also resident of same place. Victim Luzminda Gumala Embang sustained multiple stabbed wounds resulting to her instant death while Fernando Malinis Embang incurred laceration wounds on his head and was rushed to Rural Health Unit (RHU) situated at San Miguel Municipality for treatment. suspect was allegedly under the influence of intoxicating liquor was now in the custody of San Miguel Municipal Police Station while appropriate case is being prepared for filing against him in court. BLUDGEONING INCIDENT IN TABINA

On or about 12:30 in the morning of May 23, 2015, a concern citizen reported to Tabina Municipal Police Station informing that a bludgeoning incident transpired at Purok Kahayag Barangay Concepcion, Tabina, Zamboanga Del Sur. Immediately, PNP team from Tabina Municipal Police Station led by SPO1 Virgilio Lavilla Naciongayo proceeded to the aforesaid place to conduct investigation. Initial investigation disclosed that at about 10:00 in the evening of May 22, 2015, victim identified as one Felix Aucejo Y España, married, 42 years old, farmer and a resident of Barangay Kalawit, Zamboanga Del Norte was hit by a piece of wood by his older brother identified as Alexander Aucejo Y España, married, 57 years old, fisherman and a resident of Purok Kahayag, Barangay Concepcion, Tabina, Zamboanga Del Sur. victim was brought immediately to Pagadian City for immediate medical treatment. Suspect voluntarily surrendered to the barangay councilor Sencel of said place and subsequently turned-over to the responding PNP team. Arrested suspect is now temporary detained at Tabina Municipal Police Station locked-up cell for proper disposition while appropriate case is being prepared for immediate filing in court.

Dead Body Found in Mahayag

A male dead body found inside the house of Danilo Mayol at Purok 5, Poblacion, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur. The Mahayag Police identified the cadaver as as Bob Bergado Chiu, 54 years old, resident of Purok Malinawon, Barangay Tinago, Ozamiz City. The victim was allegedly half Filipino half Chinese.  Initial investigation conducted disclosed that the victim arrived at the house of Danilo Mayol at the mentioned place at around 11:00 AM of May 23, 2015 purposely to look for her lost daughter identified as Sheryl Mayol, However, at around 5:00 A.M of May 24, 2015 the victim was discovered by Loreta Mayol wife of the victim lying lifeless in his bed at the sala of their house.  During post mortem conducted by the attending physician, the victim was found lying on his side in cadaveric rigidity, discoloration found on the face, neck, chest to the abdomen area, however, there was no significant physical finding found like abrasions, lacerations or any signs of strangulation to the victim body. The cause of his death was multiple organ failure secondary to hemorrhagic acute pancreatitis.

Murder Suspect Arrested in Pagadian Police Operation

A man wanted for the crime of murder was arrested during implementation of warrant of arrest carried out by Zamboanga Del Sur Police Office-Provincial Investigation and Detection Management Branch, Pagadian City Police Station and Provincial Public Safety Company-Zamboanga Del Sur Police Office at the vicinity of Ariosa Street in Barangay San Francisco, Pagadian City at about 10:00 AM of May 24, 2015. Police Senior Superintendent Sofronio Palaña Ecaldre, Provincial Director, Zamboanga Del Sur Police Office, said suspect Robil Villame Roa @ Langga was arrested for the crime of murder docketed under criminal case number tc-2009-025 duly issued by hon. Sylvia A. Singidas-Machacon, Executive Judge of RTC, 10th Judicial Region, Branch 16, Tangub City. During the arrest, the operating team able to confiscate one unit caliber .45 pistol and one piece magazine of caliber .45 from the possession and control of the suspect particularly at the front waistline. The arrested person was immediately brought at Zamboanga Del Sur Police Office for proper disposition and documentation.

Man killed in Mahayag Police Operation

A man was killed during police operation after he allegedly fired his firearm to the operating team from Dumingag Police Station in Barangay Mangueles, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 5:15 in the morning of May 25, 2015. The Mahayag Police identified the fatality as Benjie Jacosalem Accordingly, during the service of warrant, the accused suddenly fired his firearm towards the said PNP elements which prompted them to return fire. The victim sustained gunshot wound and died as result of the firefight.
