REPORTED INCIDENTS –May 4, 2015

Shooting in Mahayag

Shooting incident occurred at about 8:00 PM of May 4, 2015 at Isolated Rice Land Area of Purok 5, Barangay Boniao, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur. The victim was identified as Constancio Donio Y Manatad a.k.a. Estan, 84, widower, farmer by occupation, resident of said place. He was shot to death by an unidentified suspect using caliber 45 pistol based on the recovered fired cartridge case of same caliber from the crime scene. Investigation conducted by Mahayag MPS disclosed that said victim together with his live- in partner identified as Ceferina Araula Y Artiaga, 64, and resident of same place were both having their dinner inside their house of the above mentioned place when an unidentified suspect armed with caliber 45 pistol suddenly appeared inside the house and without any apparent reason shot the victim several times hitting on the different parts of his body that resulted to his instantaneous death. The suspect immediately fled towards unknown direction after the incident while PNP elements of Mahayag MPS conducted a thorough investigation and follow up operation for the possible arrest of suspect. The evidence recovered from the crime scene are five (5) fired cartridge case of caliber 45 pistol and one (1) slug of same caliber and to be turned over to provincial lab for ballistic examination.

Shooting in Molave

Shooting incident occurred at around 4:15 AM of May 4, 2015 at Barangay Culo, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur. The victim was identified as Joseph Quimado Almodiel, 37 years old, jobless, resident of said place.  Accordingly, he was shot by unidentified persons while he was walking along Roxas Street, Barangay Makuguihon, Molave. The suspects were riding in a motorcycle when they appeared and shoot the victim once. He sustained gunshot wounds on his left elbow and left area of his stomach while the suspect fled to unknown direction after the incident. The victim was brought to Salug Valley Medical Center for his medical treatment.

Motor Vehicular Traffic Accident

Motor vehicular traffic accident occurred at about 6:55 PM of May 4, 2015 at purok 12, Barangay Poblacion, Lakewood, Zamboanga Del Sur, wherein one single mc sky go pony, driven by Edgar Bagbag Y Ampil, single, resident of said place, accidentally bumped to one sky go motor star driven by Cristoto Salanga Jr Y Utong, 22, resident of Barangay Tubod, Lakewood, together with his back riders identified as Arnel Uma; Dodong Salanga; Mermer Salanga And Elmer Mundo. Investigation conducted by Lakewood MPS disclosed that said single mc sky go was traversing from barangay Poblacion, Lakewood going to Barangay Bag-Ong Kahayag, Lakewood and upon reaching at the curved area of the afore-said place was accidentally overshot and bumped into one single mc sky go motor star.  Both drivers of single mc to include the back rider identified as Elmer Mundo sustained serious injuries on the different parts of their bodies and were immediately brought to Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center for immediate medical treatment. Both single motorcycles incurred damages on its front wheel and head light assembly and were brought to Lakewood MPS for proper disposition.

RA 9262 Violator Caught in Tambulig

A RA 9262 violator was arrested by elements of Provincial Intelligence Branch of Zamboanga Sibugay Police Provincial Office and Tambulig MPS in Barangay Riverside, Tambulig, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 9:30 AM of May 4, 2015. Police Inspector Benjamin C. Napigkit, Tambulig Police Chief, suspect 46-year old Elvis O. Arnoco, a farmer was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for violation of RA 9262 (violence against women and children act of 2004) issued by Presiding Judge Jaime Caberte, RTC Branch 23, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur docketed under criminal case number 2015-10-2962 dated 23 April 2015 with bail recommended fixed at (P 12,000.00) for his temporary liberty. He is now temporarily detained at Tambulig MPS locked - up cell awaiting court disposition.

Man Arrested in Tukuran for Direct Assault in Tukuran

The Police operatives of Tukuran MPS arrested a 49-year old municipal employee for the crime of direct assault in Barangay Curvada, Takuran, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 9:30 AM of May 4, 2015. Arrested was rolando tangub y nombre, 49, married, municipal employee, resident of afore-said barangay. He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of assault upon a person in authority issued by Judge Norlinda R. Amante-Descallar, Acting Presiding Judge Of 9th MCTC Labangan-Tukuran dated 13 April 2015 docketed under criminal case number 1550-t with bail bond fixed at (P 8,000.00) for his temporary liberty. Suspect is now temporarily detained at Tukuran MPS awaiting court disposition.
