REPORTED INCIDENTS – Sept. 23-24, 2014

PRESS RELEASE
Stabbing Incident in Labangan 
Stabbing incident occurred at about 12:40 AM of September 23, 2014 in Barangay San Isidro, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur. Suspect was identified as Cesar Hilo Y Ortiz alias Porongkoy, 38, married, farmer and a resident of said place. He was tagged as the suspect in stabbing incident transpired at around 5:00 PM of September 22, 2014, wherein one Jessie Antipuesto Y Pedarius, 20, driver, also a resident of said place. Victim was stabbed by abovementioned person with the use of scythe while visiting at the house of a certain Mario Remasug. He sustained stabbed wound at the right portion of his stomach and managed to report to the Barangay officials of the same place. Suspect was immediately arrested by the responding Barangay officials and was eventually turned over to the Labangan Police Station for proper disposition.

Robbery in Pagadian City

Robbery incident took place at about 8:05 AM of September 23, 2014; the victim was identified as Michael Romero Y Padapat, 25, owner of system computer repair, resident of Barangay Sto Nino, Pagadian City. Investigation conducted disclosed that they discovered that the main door of the system computer repair and multimedia services shop located at Sagun Street, Barangay San Francisco District in Pagadian City was ransacked by unidentified person. Suspects carted away three (3) assorted laptops owned by the customers and cash amounting to more or less forty thousand pesos (Php40, 000.00). The suspects were able to get the said items and money by forcibly destroying the main door of the said establishments. The suspects fled to unknown direction after the incident. The Pagadian City Police Station is now conducting follow- up investigation for possible identified of the fleeing suspects. 

Laborer with Theft Case Arrested

PNP elements of Pagadian City Police Station and PNP elements of Police Station 10 based in Calinan, Davao City, arrested Antonio Cabal Y Galvez, 80, male, laborer, resident of Bario Tanawan, Batangas City, during manhunt operation in Pagadian City. Suspect was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of qualified theft docketed under criminal ace number 10885-2k13 with no bail bond recommended issued by Hon Presiding Judge Rolando Goan of RTC branch 21, Pagadian City dated May 6, 2014. Arrested suspect is now temporarily detained at Pagadian City Police Station detention cell awaiting commitment order from the issuing court for proper disposition.

Woman Arrested for Estafa

PNP elements of Ramon Magsaysay Police Station arrested Belen Abad Y Balais, 46, married and a resident of Barangay Bulatoc, Pagadian City at about 9:00 AM of September 23, 2014 in Barangay Bulatoc, Pagadian City. suspect was arrested at the Barangay Hall of the aforesaid Barangay by virtue of a warrant of arrest for the crime of Estafa docketed in criminal case No. 09-10,712 issued by Hon Ernesto MVE Laurel, Presiding Judge of RTC branch 30, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur with a bail bond recommended for her temporary liberty fixed in the amount of one hundred twenty thousand pesos (Php 120,000.00). Arrested suspect is now temporarily detained at Ramon Magsaysay Police Station awaiting commitment order from the court for the transfer of custody to the BJMP district jail. ..

Parolee Nabbed in Pagadian City

Operatives of Pagadian City Police Station arrested Jerry Dequilla Y Denopol, 34, married, native of San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur during manhunt operation at Barangay Sta. Lucia,  Pagadian City at about 4:25 PM of September 23, 2014. Suspect was arrested by virtue of order of arrest and commitment order issued by the Board of Pardons and Parole signed by Hon Natividad G. Dizon, Chairman of the Board who ordered to arrest the aforesaid person. He was already convicted by RTC Branch 2, Kapatagan, Lanao del Norte for the crime of P.D 533 and was currently violating his terms and conditions as a probationer. Arrested person is now temporarily detained at Pagadian City Police Station awaiting commitment order from the issuing court for proper disposition.

SHOOTING INCIDENT IN MARGOSATUBIG, ZDS

On or about 9:00 in the evening of September 23, 2014 at Barangay Tigui-An, Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur wherein victim identified as Silverio Yap Y Berlas, farmer, resident of said place was shot three (3) times by suspect identified as  Sammy Juguilon Y Miro, legal age, farmer by occupation, resident of same place. Investigation conducted by Margosatubig Police Station disclosed that said victim and his family were inside in their house of the abovementioned place when suspect who was hiding near said house and allegedly armed with caliber 38 revolver suddenly shot the victim. As a result, victim Silverio Yap Y Berlas sustained lone gunshot wound on his left foot and was rushed to Margosatubig Regional Hospital for immediate medical treatment while her wife and children were not hit/injured during the incident. suspect immediately fled to unknown direction after the incident but was arrested by the PNP elements of Margosatubig Police Station during their follow-up operation  conducted at Sitio Lumahan, Barangay Tigui-An, Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur. suspect is now temporarily detained at Margosatubig Police Station locked-up cell while a appropriate case is now being prepared for filing in court.

VEHICULAR ACCIDENT

On or about 6:10 in the evening of September 24, 2014 at national highway of purok Mangga 2, Barangay New Labangan, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur  wherein one (1) single motorcycle Honda XRM, 125cc, color black with no plate number attached, color black with white combination and driven by Edgar Suplaag Y Alivio, 45 years old, married, resident of Poblacion Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur together with  his two (2) back riders identified as Vevencio Suplaag Y Alivio, 52 years old  and Giv Jay Ann Suplaag, 10 years old, both resident of Purok Uno (1), Barangay Guma, Midsalip, Zamboanga Del Sur accidentally bumped to other single motorcycle Rusi, 100cc, color black, bearing  plate number 9981-JK, driven by Narciso Pangpang Arcadio, 25 years old, resident of Purok Bagong Silang, Barangay Lantian, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur. investigation conducted disclosed that both single motorcycles were  traversing/running in opposite direction of the abovementioned place when accidentally bumped/met into contact in head on collision. Both drivers to include the back riders sustained injuries on the different parts of their bodies and were rushed to Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center for immediate medical treatment. Subject single motorcycles are now under the custody of Labangan Police Station for investigation and proper disposition of the case. Investigator on case is PO3 Cristopher M.
