Shooting Incident

TAMBULIG - A shooting suspect voluntarily surrendered to the Tambulig MPS after shooting a pedi cab driver in Purok 8, Barangay Lower Lodiong, Tambulig, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 6:30 AM of November 4, 2016. Suspect was identified as Christopher Gumanad Y Gomante, 27 years old, single, farmer by occupation, and resident of abovementioned place. The victim was later identified as Jenilito Hernani, 34 years old, married, tri- sikad driver, and resident of aforesaid place. He was shot twice by the above-mentioned suspect using homemade PBC gun (Marble Airsoft Gun) at Purok 8, Barangay Lower Lodiong, Tambulig, Zamboanga del Sur. As a result, victim sustained gunshot wound on his right and lower left eye and was rushed to Blancia Hospital, Molave, Zamboanga del Sur for immediate medical treatment and subsequently transferred to Mendero Hospital, Pagadian City. Recovered from the crime scene was one (1) homemade PBC gun (Marble Airsoft Gun). The motive of the incident is personal grudge. The suspect is now temporarily detained at Tambulig MPS lock-up cell while an inquest case is now being prepared for filing in court.

High Value Drug Personality Nabbed in Police Operation

MARGOSATUBIG - Operatives of PAIDSOTG- Zamboanga Del Sur PPO and Margosatubig MPS conducted buy-bust operation at Sitio Samboang, Barangay Poblacion, Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur on November 4, 2016 at about 2:30 PM. The operation resulted to the arrest of Edgar Baylon Y Bersuela a.k.a. Eduardo (HVT under COPLAN SITAW), 44 years old, married, dispatcher of Margosatubig van terminal, and resident of Purok Palmera, Barangay Poblacion, Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur. Confiscated from his possession and control were the following: two (2) pieces small heat sealed transparent sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be “Shabu”  ; three (3) pieces small rolled aluminum foils ; and two (2) pieces One Hundred peso bills (Php 100.00) as buy bust money with serial numbers MK068470 and YM385437.Suspect is now temporarily detained at PAIDSOTG lock-up cell while appropriate case for violation of section 5, 11 and 12 of Article II of RA 9165 is being prepared for filing in court.2.
