Shooting Incident in Dumingag

Shooting incident took place at around 6:30 PM of August 17, 2014 at the bridge of Sitio Alegre, Barangay Lower Landing, Dumingag, Zamboanga Del Sur. The three victims were identified as Rolando Vics, 51 years old, married, farmer, former CVO member together with his wife identified as Litecia Vics, 49 years old and her son identified as Marlon Vics, 24 years old, all resident of Barangay Tamurayan, Dumingag, Zamboanga Del Sur. The three were shot several times by an unidentified motorcycle riding criminals using caliber 45 pistols based on the recovered fired cartridge case of 45 pistol caliber and slug from the crime scene. Investigation conducted by Dumingag Police Station disclosed that the abovementioned victims were onboard on a single motor star motorcycle driven by Marlon Vics along with his wife and son as back riders. They were traversing from his residence going to Lower Timonan, Dumingag, however, upon reaching at the afore-mentioned place, were waylaid and fired upon by an unidentified suspects who were also onboard on a single blue sky go motorcycle 150 with no plate number. Rolando Vics sustained multiple gunshot wounds on the different parts of his face and body that resulted to his instantaneous death. His wife Litecia Vics sustained one gunshot wound on her left arm. She was rushed to Molave Blancia Hospital for immediate medical treatment while his son Marlon Vics was not hit and injured during the incident. PNP elements of Dumingag Police Station now conducted an investigation and hot pursuit operation to possibly track down the fleeing suspects. The motive of the incident is still to be determined by the said police station.

Male Cadaver Found in Molave

A male dead body was found at around 5:11 PM of August 17, 2014 in Barangay Mahuhay, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur. He was later identified as Rando Sapero Sumabong, 41 years old, married, resident of Barangay Pioneer Street, Molave. He sustained multiple stabbed wounds on the different parts of his body. Investigation conducted disclosed that the victim prior to his recovery, was having a drinking session at the house of certain Florencia Nacua located at the afore-mentioned place together with his three (3) companions identified as Marjun Nacua, Jeffrey Ganaton and Weng -Weng Guinsayao. The victim was later found dead the following day and sustained stabbed wounds on his body which believed to be stabbed by unidentified suspects. PNP elements of Molave Police Station now conducted a thorough investigation for the possible arrest of suspects responsible in the stabbing incident.

Hacking Incident in Guipos

Hacking incident transpired at around 6:20 PM of August 17, 2014 in Barangay Dagohoy, Guipos, Zamboanga Del Sur. The victim was identified as Silverio Lasprillas Y Kita, 60 years old, married, farmer, resident of said place. He was hacked to death by the suspect identified as Faustino Vivas Y Bation, 44 years old, farmer, and resident of same place. investigation conducted disclosed that sometime on the evening of 16^th of August 2014, the victim along with other visitors were invited by the aforesaid suspect at his residence located at the abovementioned place for his birthday celebration, however, during the party celebration, a drinking spree were made inside the house of suspect along with other visitors. Suspect then got wild due to misunderstanding which prompted the other visitors to left the said place purposely to avoid trouble, however, the victim Silverio Lasprillas Y Kita was left behind. Meanwhile, the victim was then found dead at the terrace of the house of the celebrant (suspect) the following day. He sustained multiple hacked wounds on his head and body. Accordingly, the suspect confessed to Antinio Labang, 39 years old, son in law of the victim that he was responsible in hacking the victim. The evidence recovered from the crime scene was one axe and one piece of wood tile. PNP elements of Guipos Police Station now conducted follow-up investigation to possibly locate and arrest suspect.

Vehicular Accident in Dumalinao

Vehicular accident occurred at around 10:50 AM of August 17, 2014 along the national highway of Barangay Paglaum, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur.  The vehicle involved was a black Suzuki 125 with plate no. SH-1223 registered under (NIA) National Irrigation Administration, driven by Albert Albete Y Bacsan, 28, single, casual employee of said agency, resident of San Pablo, Zamboanga Del Sur. Investigation showed that the single motorcycle was traversing from Pagadian City and bound to municipality of San Pablo and upon reaching at the above mentioned place, accidentally side-swift one Apolinario Barimbao Y Labanan, 82, married, who was in the process of passing at the national highway of the said municipality. No damages incurred to the driver and so with the single motorcycle while the victim incurred injury to his left lower ankle. He was immediately rushed to Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center for immediate medical attention. The single motorcycle and the driver were brought to the Dumalinao Police Station for proper disposition. .
