REPORTED INCIDENTS –AUGUST 1-3, 2014

Encounter in Tigbao

On or about 8:25 AM of August 1, 2014, an armed encounter transpired at Sitio Kamanse, Barangay Tuburan, Tigbao, Zamboanga Del Sur between the elements of 14th DRC, Phil Army led by Lt. Gelapia and more or less twenty (2) armed men believed to be members of syp, fc, kara, wmrpc headed by aka “natan”. Exchange of gun fire lasted for about ten (10) minutes that resulted in one (1) Wounded in Action on the government side, identified as Corporal Sakilan while enemy withdrew towards the hinterlands of said place. Wounded AFP personnel were immediately brought to nearest hospital for medical treatment. Continuous operation against the fleeing enemy is now being conducted by same troops in coordination with 2nd and 3rd maneuvering companies of Regional Public Safety Company 9.

Vehicular accident in Buug

Vehicular accident transpired at Barangay Boyugan West, Kumalarang Zamboanga Del Sur at about 6:00 PM of August 1, 2014. The victim was identified as Way-Yer D Mayong, 5 years old, female, pre- school pupil and a resident of said place. She was bumped by single Kawasaki ct100 color red bearing plate number 090703 driven by certain Warin Gardose Y Raneses, 22, married. Investigation showed that the said motorcycle was traversing from Pagadian City going to Diplahan, Zamboanga Sibugay and upon reaching at abovementioned placed bumped the said pedestrian. The victim sustained severe injuries on the different parts of her body and was rushed to Vergara Hospital in Buug for medical treatment. She was unfortunately declared dead on arrival by the attending physician. The driver of said motorcycle voluntarily surrendered to Buug Municipal Police Station. He is now being detained at said police station for proper disposition.

Man held in Kumalarang for carrying unlicensed firearm

PNP elements of Kumalarang Police Station while conducting security coverage during 55th Araw Ng Boyugan West in Barangay Boyugan West, Zamboangag Del Sur at about 10:30 AM of July 31, 2014, arrested a suspicious person with undetermined type of caliber in his possession. He was seen roaming around in front of Hon Eugenio G Salva Jr. the mayor of said place. Suspect was identified as Jimmy Ogao-Ogao Y Arnoco, 44, married, resident of Barangay Pacanan, Kumalarang. The PNP team noticed a caliber 357 revolver type of firearm which was put inside his front right jacket. Suspect person failed to present legal documents authoring him to possess such firearm. Confiscated from his possession were one caliber 357 revolver with serial number 395961 with four live ammos and one empty shell of same caliber. Arrested person was brought to Kumalarang Police Station for proper disposition.        

Stabbing Suspect Arrested In Pagadian City

A teenager was arrested by the Pagadian City Police for stabbing and wounding another teenager in Barangay Bugo, Pagadian City at about 8:00 AM of August 1, 2014.  Suspect was identified as Marlester Teleron Y Roda, 17, resident of Alegria, Pagadian City. He stabbed with the use of Bladed weapon the victim identified as Robert Mahusay y Villanueva, 25, male, resident of Margosatubig, Zamboanga Del Sur.  Accordingly, both the involved persons were having a heated argument due to misunderstanding when suddenly the victim was stabbed by suspect. The victim sustained lone stabbed wound on his right arm. He was rushed to Zamboanga Del Sur medical center for medical treatment. The suspect meanwhile is now being detained at Pagadian City Police Station.   

Stabbing incident in Midsalip

Stabbing incident occurred at about 6:21 PM of August 2, 2014 in Brangay Goliptoc, Midsalip, Zamboanga Del Sur particularly at the videoke house owned by certain Letecia Araniego. The victim was identified as Ely Bansal Y Landawon, 45 years old, farmer by occupation, and resident of said place. He was stabbed by one unidentified suspect using undetermined type of bladed weapon and victim was rushed to Midsalip Infirmary Hospital for immediate medical treatment but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician. investigation revealed that victim  was having a drinking spree at the aforesaid place when unidentified suspect suddenly appeared from behind and without any apparent reason stabbed the victim several times hitting on the different parts of his body. Suspect immediately fled to unknown direction after the incident while PNP elements of Midsalip Police Station now conducted investigation for the possible arrest of suspect as well as to determine the motive of the incident.

Stabbing incident in Pagadian City

Stabbing incident took place at about 11:35 AM of August 1, 2014 at Rizal Avenue in Barangay Sta Lucia District, Pagadian City. The victim was identified as Joselyn Dominesi y Jamili, 18 years old, single, former club dancer and resident of Pgadian City. She was allegedly stabbed by suspect identified as certain Nene (TNU). Investigation conducted disclosed that the victim was walking along the aforementioned place when the suspect who was armed with a bladed weapon together with her boyfriend identified as Francisco Navacilla Y Malacura of legal age, 17 years old suddenly appeared from behind and without any apparent reason stabbed the victim twice. She sustained two (2) stabbed wounds on his body and was rushed by a concerned citizen to Hofileña Hospital for immediate medical treatment. The suspect fled to unknown direction after the incident while PNP elements of Pagadian City Police Station now conducted investigation to possibly locate and arrest the suspect.

Strafing Incident in Tigbao

Strafing incident transpired at the vicinity of Barangay Libayoy, Tigbao, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 12:35 AM of August 3, 2014, wherein the 10^th CAAC patrol base of the Phil. Army was fired upon by undetermined number of armed men believed to be members of “NG KARA WMRPC”. The enemy approximately prepositioned at more or less a distance of three hundred (300) meters away direction from the said patrol base particularly at the bridge situated at said place. The strafing incident lasted for about two minutes. The AFP troops detailed in the area deployed at their respective sector of fire and observed the enemy’s location whereby the enemy withdrew towards unknown direction. There was no reported killed or wounded during said incident. .

Farmer Facing Rape Charges Arrested in Dimataling

Operatives of Dimataling Police Station arrested Ernesto Villlador, 24 years old, farmer during manhunt operation in Barangay Sumpot, Dimataling at about 11:30 AM of August 2, 2014. Suspect was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of rape issued by Acting Presiding Judge Anecito Galon jr of 7th Municipal Circuit Trial Court of Dimataling and Tabina Province of Zamboanga Del Sur docketed under criminal case number 1872-d with no bail recommended. Accused is temporarily detained at said police station while awaiting commitment order from the court.

SHOOTING INCIDENT

On or about 7:00 in the evening of August 02, 2014, shooting incident transpired at Purok 6, Barangay Guinicolalay, Dinas Zamboanga Del Sur wherein the victim identified as one Arnel Sicad Y Ugawan, 39 years old, separated, farmer, a resident at Barangay Lower Canunan, Guipos Zamboamga Del Sur. At around 6:00 in the morning of same date from the populace of Barangay Guinicolalay of municipality Dinas, PNP elements of Dinas Police Station led PInsp Manuel Elumbaring Acabal -DCOP under the direct supervision of PSInsp Ardee Oliver Solis Oliveros - COP immediately proceeded to the said area to conduct ocular investigation. initial  investigation  revealed that while the  victim   watching their  harvested corn along junction of Purok 6, Barangay Guinicolalay together his brother Jun Sicad, Jojo Sanches and Renato Dominding both resident of aforesaid place were also  having drinking spree and after a few minutes unidentified suspect/s shoot the victim twice  and he sustained gunshot wounds at his back portion of his body and head  using 12 gauge homemade shotgun  based on the one (1)  empty shell  that was  recovered at the crime scene that caused his untimely death and the cadaver of the victim  was brought to his residence at Barangay Canunan Guipos, Zamboanga Del Sur. motive of the incident is still to be determined.  PNP team of Dinas Police Station is still conducting continuous follow-up investigation for possible   identity and arrest of the suspect. On or about 9:30 in the evening of August 03, 2014 at Purok 5, Barangay Kagawasan, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur wherein victim identity as Edwin Serino Y Vicinte, 40 years old, married, farmer a resident at Purok 1 Barangay Kagawasan, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur was shot by unidentified suspect with the use of undetermined type of firearm. initial investigation conducted by the responding PNP elements of Dimataling Police Station disclosed that, while victim together with his two (2) companion was on their way home from the house of certain Toto after celebrating a birthday party and upon reaching at said place they stopped over at a store and continue their drinking session when suddenly unidentified person appeared from behind and without any apparent reason shot said victim on his back and exited to his chest that caused his untimely death. Suspect fled to unknown direction after the incident. Motive of the incident is still to be determined. Dimataling Police Station now conducting manhunt operation for the possible identity and apprehension of the perpetrator. OPERATIONAL ACCOMPLISHMENT REPORT

ARRESTED WANTED PERSON

On or about 8:00 in the morning of August 02, 2014, a joint operation was conducted at Purok 3, Barangay Macaopao, Kalilangan, Bukidnon by Diplahan Police Station led by PInsp Xyronne Padre Caronan - OIC and the personnel of Kalilangan Bukidnon Police Station led by PInsp Charlie Pajo Nemeño under the direct supervision of PSSupt Robert Roy V Bahian, Provincial Director, ZSBPPO resulted to the arrests of Joven Caturay Y Antonino aka “Nonoy”, 48 years old, and his younger brother Jovert Caturay Y Antonino aka “Boy” 44 years old, both married, farmers by virtue of warrant of arrest under criminal case no. 5218-99 for “Murder” issued by Hon. Rolando L. Goan, Acting Presiding Judge of RTC Ninth Judicial Region, Branch 20, Pagadian City. Suspects were presently detained at Diplahan Police Station for proper disposition and for turn-over to RTC branch 20, Pagadian City.

CAMPAIGN ON LOOSE FIREARMS

On or about 11:30 in the morning of August 03, 2014, Hon. Bernaldo Parba Degenion, SB member and CVO of barangay Salvador, dumingag, Zamboanga Del Sur turned-over to Dumingag Police Station certain Antonio Baja Panilagan, 66 years old, married, a resident of Purok 4, Barangay Salvador, Dumingag, Zamboanga Del Sur caught by abovementioned persons at said place carrying one(1) caliber .45 pistol colt with SN 486157 with one (1) magazine, loaded with four (4) live ammos and one(1) caliber 357 without SN loaded with five (5) live ammos. Arrested person failed to present legal document authorizing him to carry such firearms.  Dumingag Police Station now preparing an appropriate case against the same for immediate filing in court.
