PRESS RELEASE

STOLEN OF SINGLE MOTORCYCLE INCIDENT AND ARREST OF MINOR SUSPECT

On or about 5:00 in the morning of August 19, 2014, Dinas Police Station received a cp call from Alvyne Tinglao Apilan, 23 years old, married, driver and a resident of Barangay Ignacio Garrata, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur informing that his Honda Xrm 125, bearing plate nr 092002, color blue was stolen by unidentified suspect while being parked at the garage of his residence. Elements of Dinas Police Station led by PSInsp Ardee Oliver Solis Oliveros conducted hot pursuit operation together with the aforesaid owner and successfully arrested one (1) Jomar Asoro Y Mejares, 15 years old, single and a resident of Sominot, Zamboanga Del Sur at the national highway of Barangay Balintawak, Pagadian City at about 6:00 in the morning of August 19, 2014. Confiscated from his possession and control the abovementioned stolen motorcycle. Arrested suspect was brought to Dinas Police Station for documentation and proper disposition. at about 1:30 in the afternoon of August 20, 2014, arrested minor suspect was released from the police custody and turned dash over to his Aunt Analiza Bernante Mejares as per certification issued by the DSWD officer of Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur considering that the above-named suspect is a minor.

Release of kidnapped victim Rudy Luna in Kumalarang, Zamboanga Del Sur. 
On or about 11:51 PM of August 19, 2014, the kidnapped victim identified as Rudy Luna was safely released by  his captors at fish port in Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur. Initial debriefing by the Anti- Kidnapping Group unit together with the Zamboanga Del Sur Police Provincial Office revealed that at around 7:00 pm earlier that night kidnapped victim left the place where he was held and made to board a pump boat together with two (2) unidentified armed men while another pump boat with two (2) armed men served as their back–up. They travelled until they reached and docked at said fish port where he was left and abandoned. Being familiar of the place, the kidnapped victim walked until he reached the house of his brother identified Jun Luna (a PNP member assigned at Zamboanga Del Sur PPO) at around 12:15 am of Aug. 20, 2014. The house was located near the said fish port. Immediately thereafter the kidnapped victim was fetched by the Anti-Kidnapping Group together with Zamboanga Del Sur PPO subsequently brought to Pagadian City Med Center (Mendero hospital) for med treatment. He is now confined of said hospital.
 

SHOOTING INCIDENT

On or about 10:30 in the morning of August 20, 2014, PO2 Marjorie Abenes, PNP member of Pagadian City Police Station reported that a shooting incident transpired at Lison Valley, Pagadian City on or about 6:30 in the evening of August 19, 2014 and victim was already brought to Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center, Dao, Pagadian City for immediate treatment. Immediately, personnel of Pagadian City Police Station led by PInsp Lerma Cañete Boron proceeded to the said hospital to conduct investigation. Initial investigation disclosed that the victim is identified as Blacio Bawan Y Samok, 54 years old, male, married, farmer and a resident of Purok Nangka, Lison Valley Pagadian City. investigation further revealed that the victim was on his way home walking alone from his relatives but  upon reaching at  the rice field, two (2) unidentified suspects suddenly appeared and without apparent reason shot him twice hitting on his right ribs and back portion of his body which caused him to fall down on the ground and unconscious. On the following day, on or about 6:00 in the morning of August 20, 2014, said victim gained his consciousness and ask for help from neighbors and divulged that he was shot by two unidentified suspects using caliber .38 and caliber .357 revolver. Motive of the incident is still unknown as of this report. Pagadian City Police Station is now conducting follow-up investigation for possible identification of the suspects.

On or about 9:45 in the evening of August 20, 2014, shooting incident transpired at Purok 9, Barangay Kahayagan, Bayog, Zamboanga Del Sur wherein the victim identified as Joseph Menorca Y Villagonzalo, 22 years old, single, jobless and a resident of above mentioned place who was shot by unidentified suspect/s with the used of caliber .45 based on the fire cartridge recovered from the crime scene. The victim sustained one (1) gunshot wound on his lower left clavicle and was brought to Bayog Municipal Rural Health Center for medication but declared dead on arrival. Motive of the incident is unknown. Bayog Police Station is now conducting follow-up investigation for possible identification of the suspects.

CAMPAIGN AGAINST ILLEGAL DRUGS AND LOOSE FIREARMS

On or about 11:25 in the morning of August 20, 2014, intelligence operatives of Pagadian City Police Station led by PSInsp Rommel Gabriel Etbew conducted a drug buy-bust operation at the Integrated Bus Terminal (IBT), Barangay Bulatok, Pagadian City and successfully arrested one (1) Danny Zarcauga Y Pagusara, 31years old, male, married, security guard of Sagittarius Security Agency and presently assigned at IBT, Bulatok, Pagadian City. confiscated from his possession and control are the following items: nine (9) pcs small size heat sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white  crystalline substance believed to be shabu; five (5) pcs aluminum foils; two (2) pcs fifty pesos (Php 50.00) with serial numbers HZ039324 and LF756851 and two (2) pcs  one hundred peso bills (Php 100.00) with serial nrs BV971158 and UT834151 served as marked money one(1) pc original copy of expired  duty detail order; one(1) pc security agency card; one(1) pc laminated expired firearm license; one (1) unit caliber .38 revolver ARMSCOR  with serial nr 927063; four (4) pcs caliber .38 live ammos; one (1) pc private security license J-five(5) pcs one Hundred Peso bills worth (Php 500.00) owned by the suspect with serial nrs RQ631118, ZZ118410, BV880383, N983153, DE427493 and one pc two hundred peso bill also owned by the suspect with serial nr NK853332. Arrested suspect is now temp detained at Pagadian City Police Station lock-up cell for proper disposition while appropriate case is now being prepared for immediate filing in court. Alarm and Public Disturbance in Pagadian City

On or about 4:30 PM of August 20, 2014, a French national identified as Laurent Marc Francois Marse Dela Garde, 36, single, temporarily residing at Block 7 Lot 8 Carter Street, Rosario Homes, Barangay Dao, Pagadian City with postal address at Lyon, France allegedly cause and create disturbance or scandal at Rosario Homes Subdivision in Barangay Dao, Pagadian City. Investigation conducted disclosed that the suspect who was armed with an axe got wild and challenge anybody for a fight. He even tried and attempted to strike using said axe towards any person. a few minutes later, the suspect was pacified by the Pagadian City Police and  voluntarily surrendered to include his axe. He was brought to the said police station for detention and filing of appropriate case in court. Upon verification made his tourist passport valid only until 18 august 2014. An appropriate case for attempted murder and alarm and scandal was already filed before the city prosecution office docketed under I.S number ix-05-inq-14h-00184. Suspect is still temporarily detained at Pagadian City Police Station awaiting court disposition.

ARRESTED WANTED PERSON

On or about 11:15 in the morning of August 20, 2014, joint PNP elements of Margosatubig Police Station led by PInsp Dionesio Jonathan Flores De Castro, deputy COP and a team of 53rd IB, PA led by Sgt Bienvenido P Fernandez, PA respectfully turned-over to Guipos Police Station the living body of one (1) Anabelle Quijano aka michelle/yanyan/abel, 34 years old, married and a resident of Barangay Ocapan, San Miguel, Zamboanga Del Sur. accused was arrested while confined at Margosatubig Regional Hospital, Margosatubig Zamboanga Del Sur by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime of Murder docketed under cc#11128-2k13; for attempted murder in cc#11130-2K13, 11134-2K13, 11135-2K13, 11136-2K13 and for the crime of Theft in cc#11129-2K13 issued by Hon Romeo T Descallar, Presiding Judge of RTC, Branch 19, Pagadian City. Subsequently, arrested accused was then turned-over by Guipos Police Station to Zamboanga Del Sur Provincial Jail, Pagadian City.
