Shooting
Incident in Margosatubig
Shooting incident in Barangay Lumbog, Margosatubig,
Zamboanga Del Sur transpired at about 4:40 PM of August 5, 2014. The victim was
identified as Max Amad Y Bayobay, 36, married, farmer and a resident of
Barangay Maculay, Vincenzo Sagun, Zamboanga Del Sur. Victim was shot by unidentified
suspects. Investigation conducted disclosed that the victim was riding his
single motorcycle Suzuki from said Barangay bound to Barangay Lumbog, Margosatubig,
however, upon reaching at abovementioned place, unidentified person/s allegedly
armed with Ingram/ machine gun and a Cal .45 suddenly surfaced from the bushes
at the side of the road and fired upon at the victim several times. The victim fortunately
managed to jump off from his motorcycle and took cover behind the trunk of the
tree. He sustained lone gunshot wounds on his right leg and was then brought to
Margosatubig Regional Hospital for medication. The suspects fled to unknown direction
after the incident and now the subject of the hot pursuit operation conducted
by the Margosatubig Police Station.
Robbery Incident in Pagadian City
Robbery/ Ransacked incident in Barangay Gatas, Pagadian
City occurred at about 9:14 AM of August 5, 2014, wherein the residential house
owned by Pagadian City Councilor Atty. Teodoro M Quicoy, 58, married, resident
of above-mentioned place was allegedly robbed and ransacked by unidentified
persons. Investigation showed that the suspects gain entry by destroying the
window drills by cutting with the use of iron saw based on the recovered one blade
at the crime scene. Suspects carted away their assorted jewelries and estimated
amount of money. The Pagadian City Police Station is now conducting follow- up
investigation for possible arrest of the suspects
Fire incident in Pagadian City
Fire incident in Barangay Sta. Maria, Pagadian City took
place at about 8:30 PM of August 5, 2014, wherein a newly owned Kubo located
just beside the residence of Merie Caliso Y Campos, 56, married, resident of
said place was razed by fire. Accordingly, it was intentionally set on fire by
certain Raffy Munding Y Murecho, 20, jobless and a residence of same place
using lighter. The said Kubo house was made of light materials that were easily
razed by fire. Investigation showed that according to the witness identified as
Estrella Guteriez Y Basilisco of legal age and a residence of same place
personally pinpointing that Raffy Munding was responsible of the said incident.
Suspect was later arrested by the Pagadian City Bureau of Fire and Pagadian
City Police Station. He is now being detained at said police station while a case
for arson is now being prepared by Bureau of Fire for immediate filing in court
against him.
Man who Stabbed his in Laws Arrested
in Pagadian City
A Jobless man who was accused of stabbing and wounding a
forty years old man was arrested by the responding Pagadian city Police Station
during a follow-up operation in Barangay Kawit, Pagadian City at about 7:00 PM
of August 5, 2014. Suspect was identified as Jeffrey Agan Abitona, 21, jobless,
son in law of the victim and a resident of afore-mentioned place. He was
arrested for stabbing and wounding his in-laws identified as Jhonny Castañeda Y
Samson, 43, resident of same place. Investigation conducted disclosed both the
involved persons were having misunderstanding at their residence when suddenly
suspect got mad and stabbed the victim with the use of stainless nail file.
Victim sustained two minor stabbed wounds on his head and neck and was advised to
undergo medical exam to support his complaint against his son-in-law. Recovered
from his possession was one stainless nail file measuring six (6) inches to
include the handle. The motive of the incident was misunderstanding. Suspect is
now temporarily detained at Pagadian City Police Station while a case for
frustrated homicide is now being prepared for filing in court against him.
Rifle Grenade Recovered in Pagadian
city
Bomb expert of the Regional Public Safety Company recovered
an explosive otherwise known as rifle grenade in Barangay Lumbia, Pagadian City
at about 10:45 AM of August 5, 2014. The explosives rifle grenade with serial number
frg-rfl-40, bt 5.56 im pa 75 was found at the residential/house of certain Gomonit
located in Barangay Lumbia, Pagadian City. Said rifle grenade is now under the
custody of said police office for proper disposition.
Man with Homicide Case Nabbed in
Tambulig
Operatives of Tambulig Police Station arrested Jemar
Sabanal y Villamor, 22, of Barangay Balugo, Tambulig during operation of wanted
person in Barangay Balugo, Tambulig at about 11:30 AM of August 5, 2014.
Suspect was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Presiding Judge
Carol Morales of Municipal Trial Court ninth Judicial Region, Tambulig,
Zamboanga Del Sur for the crime of attempted homicide with criminal case number
3073 issued on 16th day of January 2014 with recommended bail bond of twenty
five thousand pesos (Php 25,000.00). Arrested person is now temporarily
detained at Tambulig Police Station waiting for final adjudication from the
court
Man With Estafa Case Arrested in
Dumingag
PNP elements of Dumingag Police Station and Manukan Police
Station arrested Leopher Retes Y Oxima, 35, native of Manukan, Zamboanga Del
Norte during joint manhunt operation in Barangay San Pablo, Dumingag, Zamboanga
Del Sur at about 10:30 AM of August 5, 2014. Suspect was arrested by virtue of
warrant of arrest for the crime of estafa under criminal case no 17898 of Regional
Trial Court 9th Judicial Region Branch 10 issued by Reymar L Lacaya Cma Acting
Presiding Judge. Arrested suspect is now temporarily detained at Dumingag Police
Station waiting for final adjudication from the court concern.
Vehicular
Accident in Tambulig
Vehicular accident
took place at about 4:00 PM of August 6, 2014 at the National Highway of Purok
5 Barangay Gabunon, Tambulig, Zamboanga Del Sur, wherein single motorcycle
Honda CVR bearing plate no. 2008 KU color black, driven by Rommel Legaspi Y
Manglangit, 38, married, was accidentally hit a pedestrian identified as Alduen
Rabusa Y Sintus, minor and a resident of afore-mentioned place. investigation
showed that the said motorcycle was traversing from Ozamis City bound for
Dumingag, Zamboanga Del Sur and upon reaching at the abovementioned place
accidentally hit the aforesaid victim running across the road pd victim and the
driver both sustained multiple injuries on the different parts of their body
and were immediately brought by the responding PNP team to Blancia Hospital in
Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur for immediate medication. Said motorcycle was brought
to Tambulig Police Station for proper disposition and safekeeping.

Incident in Pagadian City
Robbery / ransacked
incident took place at about 10:00 AM of August 6, 2014 at Barangay Dao,
Pagadian City, wherein the house of one Elda Baterna Y Aguilar, 42, married and
a resident of the said place was ransacked by unidentified suspect.
Investigation showed that the victim was cleaning outside their residence,
however, when she returned inside, she noticed that they were robbed by unidentified
suspect. accordingly, suspect gained entry by removing the three (3) pcs glass
window blades and carted away one unit cannon digital camera, one unit external
drive askaton and cash money more or less one thousand pesos (Php 1,000.00).
The Pagadian City Police Station is now conducting follow- up investigation for
possible identification and arrest of the suspect.
Resisting
Wanted Person Nabbed in Ramon Magsaysay
Operatives of Ramon
Magsaysay Police Station arrested a wanted person with multiple charges during
manhunt operation in Barangay Poblacion, Ramon Magsaysay at about 6:40 AM of
August 6, 2014. Arrested was Froilan Torres, legal age, native of Tukuran,
Zamboanga Del Sur. He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest for the crime
of frustrated homicide docketed in criminal case no. 06-10,451 issued by Hon.
Loreto C. Quinto Presiding Jugde, RTC Branch 30 , Aurora, zamboanga Del Sur
dated feb. 19, 2007 and warrant of arrest for the crime of carnapping docketed
in criminal case # 08-10,580 issued by Hon. Ernesto M. Laurel, Presiding Judge,
RTC Branch 30 Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur dated June, 30, 2008. Suspect resisted
arrest by throwing a glass to the police officer and attempted to confiscate
his issued firearm. He tried to evade to the PNP elements serving the warrant
which prompted the police officer to fire a warning shot to neutralize the
accused. He was then later brought and detained to the Ramon Magsaysay Police
Station pending issuance of commitment order for the transfer of custody to the
district jail.

Swertres Collector Arrested in V-Sagun
The Zamboanga Del Sur
Police Provincial Anti- Illegal Gambling Special Operation Task Force
(PAIGSOTF) arrested a Swetres Collector in Barangay Poblacion, Vincenzo Sagun,
Zamboanga Del Sur at about 6:00 PM of August 6, 2014. Arrested was Jonard
Bendanillo Maglangit, 32, single and a resident of the said place. Confiscated
from his possession were tally sheets, one stub of illegal suertres game and
one hundred sixty (Php160.00) pesos bet money. Arrested suspect is now being detained
at the said police office for proper disposition. Meanwhile, a senior citizen
was also arrested by the Zamboanga Del Sur Police Provincial Anti- Illegal
Gambling Special Operation Task Force (PAIGSOTF) during operation against
illegal gambling in Barangay Poblacion, Vincenzo Sagun, Zamboanga Del Sur at
about 6:00 PM of August 6, 2014. Arrested was Pedrito Estor Salinas, 62, and a
resident of the said place. Confiscated from his possession were tally sheets,
one stub of illegal suertres game, other gambling paraphernalia and (Php145.00)
pesos bet money. Arrested suspect is now being detained at the said police
office for proper disposition.
Hacking
Incident in Dinas
Hacking incident took
place at about 8:00 PM of August 5, 2014 in Barangay Nangka, Dinas, Zamboanga
Del Sur. The victims were identified as Edwin Montebon Borja, 35, single, farmer
and Charlito Moalom Hemillan, 38, married. The two were hacked by Jepord Delos
Reyes, 22, single and a resident of said place. Investigation showed that prior
to the incident, the victims were on their way home after having a drinking
spree at the house of Ronald Tangkod Dayondanon and upon reaching at the above-mentioned
place, were waylaid by the abovementioned suspect and without apparent reason
hacked the victims several times. Both victims sustained hacked wounds on their
head and different parts of their body. They were rushed to Chavez Medical
Clinic for immediate medical treatment and later were transferred to Zamboanga
Del Sur medical center in Pagadian City. The suspect fled to unknown direction
after the incident. The motive of the incident believed to be personal grudge.
The Dinas Police Station is now conducting hot pursuit operation to possibly
arrest the fleeing suspect while appropriate case is being prepared for
immediate filing in court.
Robbery
incident in Aurora
Robbery incident
occurred at about 11:30 AM of August 6, 2014 along Ceniza Street, Poblacion, Aurora,
Zamboanga Del Sur, wherein the LBC branch of said place was robbed by unidentified
suspects. The victim was identified as Analyn Gasalatan Y Marsamolo, customer
associate of LBC aurora branch, 25 years old, married, resident of Barangay
Libertad, Zamboanga Del Sur. Accordingly, she was attending to her customers when
two unidentified suspects got inside and suddenly drew unknown caliber type of
firearm and declared hold- up. The suspects carted away the cash money amounted
to more or less forty thousand pesos (Php40, 000.00) and three (3) units cell
phones worth of six thousand pesos (Php6, 000.00. they then fled towards
unknown direction on board a single motorcycle color blue without plate number
as their getaway vehicle. the Aurora Police Station is now conducting thorough
investigation and hot pursuit operation for possible identification and arrest
of the suspects.

Person Nabbed in Tukuran
Operatives of Tukuran
Police Station arrested Romeo Custodio Jr. Y Mira, 26, fisherman, in Barangay
Sto. Nino, Tukuran, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 9:00 in the morning of August 6,
2014. Suspect was arrested by virtue of
warrant of arrest for the crime of resistance and serious disobedience to agent
of person of authority (violation of Art. 151 Revised Penal Code) docketed
under criminal case no. 1521-t issued by Judge Insor A Pantaran dated 6 july
2012 with recommended bail bond fixed at Php6, 000.00 pesos for his liberty. Accused
is now temporarily detained at Tukuran Police Station awaiting commitment order
from the court for proper disposition
