Stabbing Incident in Tukuran
Tukuran,
Zamboanga Del Sur – Stabbing incident occurred at about 8:00 PM of December 26,
2014 in Purok Makugihon, Barangay Sto. Niño, Tukuran. The victim was identified
as Gloria Alfanta Y Canoy, 51, launderer, resident of said place. She was
stabbed by the suspect identified as Joy Soon Y Alfanta, the daughter of the
victim, 28, married, housewife and a resident of Barangay Curvada, Tukuran. Investigation
conducted disclosed that the suspect was taking her dinner inside the house of
her elder sister Mrs. Ginalyn Espadilla at the above-mentioned place of
incident when the victim who was believed to be under the influence of liquor
arrived and immediately got angry and uttered defaming words towards the suspect which an arguments ensued between
them. The victim rushed inside her house, got a kitchen knife and run towards
the direction of the suspect, however, suspect managed to get also a kitchen
knife which was placed on top the nipa roof and stabbed the victim. Victim sustained lone stabbed wound on her
abdomen and was immediately brought by her relatives to Rural Health Unit and
later brought to Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center for medical treatment. She
was later was pronounced dead by the attending physician. Recovered at the
crime scene was one kitchen knife measuring about 11 inches long. The suspect
is now detained at Tukuran MPS pending the filing of appropriate a case against
him.
Motor vehicular traffic accident in
San Miguel
Zamboanga
Del Sur - Motor vehicular traffic accident occurred at about 2:05 PM of
December 27, 2014 at Purok Uno, Barangay Mati, San Miguel, wherein one unit
sportage color red, bearing plate number LFJ -301, driven by Ryan Buenaventura,
legal age, resident of Margosatubig together with his three (3) unidentified
passengers accidentally swerved and bumped into the concrete wall of house
owned by Pedro Villaro Calunod. Fortunately, no one was seriously injured on
the part of the driver to include its passengers as well as the owner and
occupant of said house. The subject driver to include its passengers was
brought to nearest hospital of said municipality for treatment.
Fire
incident in Margosatubig
Zamboanga Del Sur - Fire incident transpired
at Purok Cadena De Amor, Barangay Poblacion, Margosatubig at about 12:20 AM of
December 28, 2014. Initial investigation conducted by Margos MPS revealed that
the fire was originated at the residential house owned by Mrs. Rosita Cumilang particularly
at the sala and rapidly engulfed the entire house and spread out at the
neighboring houses. A total of twenty six (26) residential house made of light
and semi-concrete materials was totally burned and razed to the ground. The cause
of the incident is still in the process of investigation and evaluation of the
available information. No casualties and injured reported during the said fire
incident. The damage to property was estimated in the amount of one million and
four hundred thousand pesos (P 1.4 million) more or less.
Robbery
in Pagadian City
Pagadian City – Robbery incident took
place at about 10:20 PM of December 28, 2014. The victim was identified as
Diana Gay Gadiano Batua, 33, married and a resident of Sunrise Village, Tiguma
District, Pagadian City. Accordingly,
she was boarding a passenger tricycle and sitting on the back of the driver
when two unidentified male suspects on board a Honda single motorcycle w/out
plate number tailed them. Suddenly the back rider suspect immediately grabbed
her brown shoulder bag containing cellular phone, Automated Teller Machine
Card, Land Bank Card, ONB Card, Metro Bank Credit Card, DILG Employee’s
Identification Card, BIR Tin Card, GSIS E-Card, Driver’s License, Phil health
Identification Card, cash amounted to four thousand eight hundred pesos ( P 4,800.00)
and other important documents. Both suspects then fled heading towards the
Barangay Tiguma direction right after the commission of the crime. The Pagadian
City Police Station conducted hot pursuit operation against the fleeing
suspects.

CPS and FESAGS Enforcement

Pagadian City – Elements of Pagadian
City Police Station and Firearms Explosives Security Agencies and Guards
Section (FESAGS) conducted joint inspection in all establishment selling
firecrackers/pyro techniques within the city proper at about 4:45 PM of
December 28, 2014. The operation resulted to the discovery of the ten (10)
abandoned boxes of imported (assorted) firecrackers/pyro techniques along the
sidewalk of Pulmones Street, Santiago District, Pagadian City. Said boxes of
firecrackers/ pyro techniques were seized and brought to Pagadian CPS for
custody while waiting the owner. The mentioned ten (10) boxes of firecrackers/ pyro
techniques were physically inventory in the presence of local media
practitioner/ representatives.
