Stabbing Incident

KUMALARANG, Zamboanga del Sur (March 31, 2019) - Stabbing incident took place at Purok Hadji Dacula, Brgy. Diplo, Kumalarang, Zamboanga del Sur at about 4:30 PM of March 30, 2019.

The victim was identified as Danny Cabalo, of legal age, married, farmer, and resident of aforementioned place.

Accordingly, prior to the incident both the victim and the suspect together with their respective friends were having a drinking session on separate table at Nonoy Pableo Store located at Purok Hadji Dacula, Brgy. Diplo, Kumalarang.

The suspect got provoked and offended to the verbal jokes of the victim that prompted him (suspect) to go home and returned armed with a bolo and stabbed the victim.

The victim sustained stab wound on his abdomen and was brought to Margosatubig Regional Hospital, Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur for treatment.

The suspect identified as Loreto Ligayan y Limod, 64 years old, farmer, a resident of same place was arrested inside his house by responding PNP after the former was positively identified by witnesses.

Recovered at the crime scene is the bolo used by the suspect with a length of 13.5 inches including its handle.

Robbery Suspect Cuffed

PAGADIAN CITY (March 21, 201) - PNP personnel of Pagadian CPS conducted operation at Purok Bethlehem, Barangay Banale, Pagadian City at about 6:30 AM of March 30, 2019.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Johnrel Bandayan Dela Vega, 25 years old (August 25, 1993), male, with live-in partner, Filipino and a resident of Purok Bethlehem, Barangay Banale, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The accused was arrestred by virtue of Warrant of Arrest docketed under cases number 9730-2k9 issued by Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 22, Pagadian City on February 28, 2011 for the crime of Robbery bail bond for his temporary liberty fixed at Forty Thousand Pesos (Php 40,000.00).

The accused was temporary detained at Pagadian City Police Station for proper disposition.

Motor Vehicular Traffic Accident

AURORA, Zamboanga del Sur March 30, 2019) - Motor vehicular traffic accident transpired at Purok San Vicente, Barangay Libertad, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur. at about 10:00 AM of March 29, 2019.

 PNP team of Aurora MPS proceeded to the said place to conduct ocular investigation.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that on or about 10:00 o’clock in the morning of March 29, 2019, one vehicle Honda Fit Hatchback, color red, bearing Plate No. MFR 472, driven by Police Corporal Yvonie Francis Abao y Taranza, 28 years old, single, PNP member and presently assigned at Midsalip Municipal Police Station, and a resident of Purok San Vicente, Barangay Libertad, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur travelling from Pagadian City going to her residence.

However, upon reaching at Purok San Vicente, Brgy Libertad, Aurora, particularly in front of her house she maneuvered to the left to enter the driveway and suddenly the tailing one Single MC Suzuki Raider 150, bearing temporary Plate No. 0901-02, driven by one Nidevah Gesulga y Malazarte, 29 years old, with live-in partner, Globe Telecom agent/installer, accidentally bumped her (Yvonnie) driven vehicle and the driver of the single MC losses his control and thrown towards the road ditch.

As a result hereof the driver of Single MC Suzuki Raider 150 (Nidevah), sustained severe head injury, right leg broken and left knee bruises and immediately brought to Aurora Community Emergency (ACE) Hospital situated at Purok Badac, Barangay Cabilinan, Aurora, ZDS for medication but subsequently pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician.

The left side of the front bumper of Honda Fit Hatchback was detached while Single MC Suzuki Raider 150, incurred damages to wit; cowling assembly, engine and right side cover were broken; shift gear, brake pad, telescopic assembly, handle bar, rear rim and muffler were deformed; and brake light was detached.

Both vehicles are now in custody of Aurora MPS including the driver of Honda Fit for proper disposition.

March 27-29, 2019 Reported Incident

Woman killed in Shooting Incident

PAGADIAN CITY (March 29, 2019) – A woman was killed in Shooting incident transpired at Purok Fatima Barangay, Balangasan, Pagadian City at about 8:15 PM of March 27, 2019. The victim was identified as a 40 years old female named Maria Liza, married, meat vendor, and a resident of Purok Malambuon, Balangasan, Pagadian City.

Pagadian City acting Police Chief Supt. Alvin Saguban disclosed that in the initital investigation showed that the victim together with her husband were riding on a tricycle cage (tangkal sa baboy) heading towards their house and upon reaching the place of incident, two unidentified motor riding suspects shots the victim three (3) times and fled away going to Barangay Banale, Pagadian City.

The victim sustained gunshot wounds on the different parts of her body and was rushed to Hofileña Hospital, Pagadian City for immediate medication. Recovered from the crime scene were three (3) fired cartridge casing for caliber. 45 firearms.

Motive of the incident still to be determine.

Fire Incident

DUMALINAO, Zamboanga del Sur (March 29, 2019) - Fire incident transpired along the National Highway particularly at Purok Malipayon, Barangay Sumadat, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur at about 12:30 AM of March 28, 2019.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed found out a part of a Lumberyard owned by Esterlita Buenafe, widower and a resident of Pagadian City was set on fire.

One personnel of the said lumberyard identified as Joel Nuya Arcete, laborer, 45 years old, and a resident of same place was awakened by the concerned citizen a passerby of the area who saw the fire incident.

The fire was declared fire out by the Bureau of Fire Personnel at around 12:45 AM of same date.

Possible caused of Fire and estimated caused of damage is yet to be determined by the Fire Investigator.

RA 10175 Violator Nabbed

PAGADIAN CITY (March 29, 2019) – Police operatives of Pagadian City Police Station conducted operation at City Hall Complex, Gatas District, Pagadian City at about 3:00 PM of March 27, 2019.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Stephen Navarro Arao, 41 years old, male, married, Filipino and a resident of Purok Gumamela, Barangay San Jose, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur.

He was arrested based on the Warrant of Arrest docketed under criminal case number 40767 issued by Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, Branch 12, Zamboanga City on February 12, 2019 for Violation Of Section 4(C) (4) In Relation To Section 6 Of Republic Act 10175 (Cybercrime Prevention Act Of 2012) with Twenty Thousand Pesos (Php20,000.00) bail for his temporary liberty.

The arrested suspect  is now temporary detained at to Pagadian City Police Station for proper disposition.

Top Number 6 Most Wanted Person, Nabbed

LAPUYAN, Zamboanga del Sur (March 27, 2019) – Combined police operatives of Lapuyan Municipal Police Station and Zamboanga Sibugay Police Provincial Office-Intel Branch conducted police operation on wanted person at Purok Khelat, Barangay Poblacion, Lapuyan, Zamboanga del Sur at about 7:00 PM of March 26, 2019.

The operation was resulted in the arrest of Pablo Gampong Y Malayan, 69 year old, Male, Married, farmer a resident of Purok Khelat, Barangay Poblacion, Lapuyan, Zamboanga del Sur.

Subject person is Top Number 6 Most Wanted Person municipal level. The accused arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Murder under Criminal Case no. 02-045, issued by Acting Presiding Judge, RTC, Ninth Judicial Region, Branch 29, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur, dated July 17, 2002 with no bail recommended.

The arrested person is now under the custody of Lapuyan MPS for proper disposition.

Top 6 Most Wanted in Labason MPS, Nabbed

DUMALINAO, Zambonga del Sur (March 26, 2019) - PNP personnel of Dumalinao Municipal Police Station together with Labason Municipal Police Station conducted police operation (Service of Arrest Warrant) at Purok 3, Barangay Calingayan, Dumalinao, Zambonga del Sur at about 5:30 PM, March 24, 2019.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Julito Escultor Duran (Top 6 Most Wanted Person- Municipal Level, Labason MPS), 40 years old, male, married, farmer, and a resident of Barangay Lawagan, Labason, Zamboanga del Norte.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of Rape, docketed under Criminal Case No. L-002079, dated 17 December 2014, issued by Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 28, Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte with no bail bond.

March 22-24, 2019 - Reported Incident from the municipalities of Zamboanga del Sur

9 residential hoses raze by Fire

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur (March 23, 2019) – Nine residential houses were razed by Fire incident transpired at Purok Roxas, Barangay Sto. Niño, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur at about 7:15 PM of March 22, 2019.

Initial investigation revealed through interview on the witnesses that the fire was started at the house of Mr. and Mrs. Fernando Pescador.

The said house was rented by certain person named Shiela whom happened to be transient in her room.

The son of the owner, James Pescador and his family lived also on that house. They were using firewood in their cooking.

Moreover, the origin of fire, as being narrated by the neighbor-witness, started at the kitchen of that said house.

The conflagration cause damage to more or less nine (9) houses made up of light material and few concrete house structures. With the fire’s destruction an aggregate pecuniary damage amounting to more or less two hundred thousand pesos (Php200,000.00) were initially assessed.

The Bureau of Fire declared fire out around 9:57 PM of same date with no casualty nor injured from the civilians.

1 Died, 2 Injured in Ammonia Leaked Incident in Pagadian City

PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga Del Sur (March 24, 2019) – On March 23, 2019 at about 6:10 PM, Pagadian City Police Station received information that there was a chemical leaked which was later confirmed by the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Pagadian City as an Ammonia Leaked (Hazardous Material) transpired on or about 6:00 P.M. of the same date at Ramona (Tukuran) Fishing Corporation situated at Rizal Avenue, Tuburan District, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur.

PNP personnel of Pagadian CPS responded to the abovementioned place to conduct investigation, secure the area and the populace.

Upon arrival thereat, the personnel of Bureau of Fire Protection were already present and the PNP Bomb Squad.

Victim was identified as Jelmar Montesa Bulay, 19 years old, male, with live-in partner, ice plant laborer, Filipino and a resident of Purok Sais, Barangay Bubuan, Bayog, Zamboanga Del Sur who was rushed at Aisah Hospital situated at Barangay San Pedro, Pagadian City and was declared Dead on Arrival (DOA) by the attending duty physician.

The other victim was identified as Brinton Wasawas, 29 years old, male, single, machine Operator, Filipino presently residing at Ramona (Tukuran) Fishing Corporation as stay-in employee and with permanent address at Cebu City who sustained minor injuries and was also rushed at Aisah Hospital for medication.

Another victim was identified as Alberto Singedas, 60 years old, male, married, Operator harvester, Filipino and a resident of Purok Lower Lumboy, Tuburan District, Pagadian City, who sustained minor injuries (dizzy). Pagadian CPS is now coordinating with the Investigator of Bureau of Fire Protection for the conduct of its investigation.

Farmer Held for the crime of Homicide

PITOGO, Zamboanga del Sur/ CLARIN, Misamis Occidental (March 24, 2019) - Joint PNP Personnel of Pitogo MPS and Clarin MPS (Missamis Occidental) conducted police operation on wanted person at Purok 3, Barangay Sibasi, Clarin, Misamis Occidental at about 1:30 PM of March 23, 2019.

The operation was resulted in the arrest of Eto Lago Y Sumapad, 47 years old, single, farmer, and a resident of Purok 3, Barangay Sibasi, Clarin, Misamis Occidental.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Homicide under Criminal Case no. RTC-12-090, issued by Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 29, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur, dated January 28, 2013, with bail bond recommended of Forty Thousand pesos (Php40,000.00).

The arrested person brought to Clarin MPS waiting for transport to Pitogo MPS, Zamboanga del Sur.

Escapee of Pitogo Municipal Jail, Captured in Iligan City

DINAS, Zamboanga del Sur/ Iligan City (March 23, 2019) - Joint PNP personnel of Dinas MPS, Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Intel Branch, Regional Intelligence Unit 10, NBI and Iligan City Police Station (ICPS- 4) conducted police operation (Service of Arrest Warrant) at the outside premises of Iligan City National High School, Roxas Avenue Extension, Mahayahay, Iligan City at about 12:20 AM, March 22, 2019.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Simplicio Malalis Y Malinao, 54 years old, married, security guard by occupation, and a resident of Oxford Celdran Village, Tubod, Iligan City. Accordingly, the accused was also an escapee of Pitogo Municipal Jail, Pitogo, Zamboanga del Sur on July 2001.

The accused was arrested by Virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of Frustrated Murder, docketed under Criminal Case No. 03-032, issued by Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, Branch 29, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur with bail bond fixed at Two Hundred Thousand Pesos (Php200,000.00).

Subject person is now temporarily detained at Dinas MPS detention cell while waiting for commitment order from the court.

BAYOG, Zamboanga del Sur (March 23, 2019) - PNP personnel of Bayog Municipal Police Station and Zamboanga del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company conducted police operation (Service of Arrest Warrant) at Purok 5, Barangay Canoayan, Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur at about 8:00 AM, March 22, 2019.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Junjun Anlucas Y Ansaga, 22 years old, single, male, farmer, and a resident of Purok 5, Barangay Canoayan, Bayog.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of Murder, Docketed under Criminal Case No. 7448-15, dated 06 April 2015, issued by Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, 12th Judicial Region, Branch 10, Hall of Justice, Marawi City with no bail bond.

LABANGAN, Zamboanga del Sur/ PARANG, Maguindanao (March 23, 2019) - PNP personnel of Parang MPS (Maguindanao Provincial Police Office) together with Labangan MPS conducted police operation (Service of Arrest Warrant) at Poblacion 2, Parang, Maguindanao at about 7:00 AM, March 22, 2019.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Kadafi Olama Y Maslamama (Top 9 Most Wanted Person- Municipal Level), 32 years old, married, and a resident Poblacion 2, Parang, Maguindanao.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of Attempted Murder in relation to RA 7610, docketed under Criminal Case 13572-2K17, dated 31 July 2017, issued by Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 22, Pagadian City with bail bond recommended fixed at One Hundred Twenty Thousand Pesos (Php120,000.00);

1 person killed in Shooting Incident

BAYOG, Zamboanga del Sur (March 24, 2019) – One person was killed in Shooting incident occurred at Barangay Dimalinao, Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur at about 6:45 PM of March 23, 2019.

The victim was identified as Certo Nonggong Antubo, 17 years old, single, farmer and a resident of Purok 1, Brgy. Dimalinao, Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur. He was shot to death by unidentified suspect using undetermined caliber of firearm.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that the victim was at the kitchen of his parent’s house eating his dinner while his mother identified as Sayana Nonggong Antubo was lying and resting on the bedroom.

At that juncture, the victim’s mother heard one (1) gun burst coming from the back portion of the kitchen and heard his son was growling.

The father of the victim identified as Antonio Lamanan Antubo was fetching water on the faucet adjacent from their house also heard the gun burst, and then as he arrived at their house he found out that his son was already lying at the kitchen.

The victim sustained one (1) gunshot wound on his chest that resulted to his instantaneous death.

The Suspect fled going to Purok 2, Barangay Dimalinao, Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur.

Bayog MPS is now conducting thorough investigation for the possible identity of the suspect and to locate possible witnesses and also to determine the motive of the incident.

Operation against Illegal Quarry Operation

PAGADIAN CITY (March 23, 2019) - An apprehension in violation of R.A. 7942, Sec 103 Theft of Minerals during the conduct of joint checkpoint operation at along National Highway of Barangay Tiguma, Pagadian City at about 11:00 PM of March 22, 2019.

Suspects were identified as:

Bryan Jay Remorosa Salvador, 28 years old, male, Filipino, married and a resident of Purok Bahada, Dao, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur and

Daniel Ferolino Salem, 39 years old, male, Filipino, single and a resident of Zone 6, Tiguma, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur.

Confiscated one Isuzu Truck loaded with Four (4) cubic meters of mixed sand and gravel, and Isuzu Truck loaded with Five (5) aggregates sand to a total of Nine (9) cubic meters with an estimated amount of Eight Thousand Eight Hundred Pesos (Php8,800.00). Thus, the drivers violated R.A. 7942, Sec. 103 Theft of Minerals.

March 15-22, 2019 – Reported Incident from the municipalities of Zamboanga del Sur

2 Arrested in Anti-Illegal Drugs Ops

MARGOSATUBIG, Zamboanga del Sur (March 16, 2019) – Drugs Enforcement Unit of Zamboanga del Sur Police Provincial Office, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and Margosatubig Municipal Police Station conducted an anti-illegal drug buy-bust operation at Purok San Francisco, Poblacion Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur at about 10:30PM of March 15, 2019.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Dorix Elorsa Abesamis, single, 24 years old, born on March 11, 1985, Elem. Level and Jefferson Alao Velez, 30 yrs old, male, separated, a government employee of Margosatubig Regional Hospital, Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur and both resident of Purok San francisco, Poblacion, Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur.

Confiscated from the suspects were one (1) piece Heat sealed plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu (buy-bust), two (2) pieces Heat sealed plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu (possession), one (1) plastic transparent cellophane serve as container suspected shabu, one (1) unit yellow green combination color black Samsung Cellphone and a Php500.00 pesos with serial number RL407890 used as buy-bust money.

The arrested suspects are now at the custody of PDEA office located at Provincial Capitol compound Sto. Ñino Pagadian City.

3 Arrested in Drug Buy Bust Ops

DUMALINAO, Zamboanga del Sur (March 16, 2019) -Joint elements of PDEA- Zamboanga del Sur together with Provincial Intelligence Branch Zamboanga del Sur Police Provincial Office (PIB-ZSPPO), Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit Zamboanga del Sur Police Provincial Office (PDEU-ZSPPO), Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU) and Dumalinao Municipal Police Station conducted a buy-bust operation at Room 301, Golden Hotel, Purok Maabtikon, Brgy. Paglaum, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur at about 09:30 AM of March 15, 2019.

The operation was resulted in the arrest Edmundo Rais Abalos aka “Bryan”, Ryan Gabunilas Cabilao (HVT- DEPED School Teacher), Sweet Ann Basco Resuelo and Mia Grace Buligan Panganuran aka MG.

Confiscated during the said operation were the following items:

Thirty-three (33) transparent heat-sealed plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu with estimated weight of 5 grams worth Thirty-four thousand pesos (Php34,000),

One (1) piece black coin purse served as container of transparent heat-sealed plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu,

One black coin purse,

One (1) matchbox containing several aluminum foils,

Two (2) disposable lighters with improvised needles,

Two (2) disposable lighters,

One (1) aluminum foils with residue,

Two (2) improvised tooter collectively marked,

One (1) plastic pipe,

One (1) scissors and

One (1) Php 1000 bill bearing serial numbers FP887209.

The arrested suspect are now at the custody of PDEA office located at Provincial Capitol Compound Sto.Ñino Pagadian City.

CAFGU Member Arrested for Homicide Charges

DINAS, Zamboanga del Sur (March 15, 2019) – A CAFGU member was arrested by combined operatives of Dinas Municipal Police Station, RMFB9 and Regional Intelligence Division 9 during law enforcement operation through service of search warrant at Provincial Road, Brgy. East Migpulao, Dinas, Zamboanga del Sur at about 12:30 PM of March 14, 2019.

Arrested was Rubie Handumon, 43 years old, married, CAFGU member and a resident of Brgy Dongos, Dinas, Zamboanga del Sur.

Subject personality has standing warrant of arrest for the crimes of Homicide and Frustrated Homicide under Criminal Case numbers 20-54,20-55 and 20-56, issued by Judge of RTC Branch 29, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur on January 19, 2001.

He is now in the custody of Dinas MPS for safekeeping.

LGU employee killed in Shooting Incident

TABINA, Zamboanga del Sur (March 18, 2019) – LGU emplkoyee was killed in Shooting incident transpired at Purok Dap-Dap, Barangay Culabay, Tabina, Zamboanga del Sur at about 2:30 PM on March 17, 2019 particularly at the entrance gate of Barangay Culabay Cockpit Arena.

The victim was identified as Juan Monterola Y Rosalijos, male, 58 years old, married, casual LGU employee of Tabina Municipality, and a resident of Barangay Baganian, Tabina, Zamboanga del Sur.

Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim was standing on the entrance gate of Barangay Culabay Cockpit Arena, when suddenly two (2) unidentified suspects approached the victim and without any apparent reason shot him several times.

The victim sustained gunshot wounds on the different parts of his body that resulted to his instantaneous death, while suspects fled to the direction of Barangay Baganian of said municipality onboard undetermined type of single motorcycle.

Accordingly, the suspects were wearing black and white shirt with estimated height of 5’5” to 5’7” and estimated age of 30 to 35 years old.

Based on the post mortem conducted by Medical Officer of Rural Health Unit of Tabina municipality, the victim was declared dead on the spot (DOS) due to multiple gunshot wounds.

Evidences recovered from the crime scene were fourteen (14) fired cartridge cases of caliber .45 pistol and six (6) slugs.

The cadaver was turned-over to the immediate family and now lies at his residence of said place. PNP personnel of Tabina Municipal Police Station conducted thorough investigation and follow up operation to possibly identify, locate and arrest the fleeing suspects.

The motive of the incident still to be determines.

Shooting Incident

JOSEFINA, Zamboanga del Sur (March 17, 2019) - Shooting incident transpired at Barangay Ebarle, Josefina, Zamboanga del Sur at about 12:20 PM of March 16, 2019.

The victim was identified as Noel Silem Y Urbano, 23 years old, male; single, with live-in partner, and a resident of Barangay Ebarle, Josefina, Zamboanga del Sur.

He was shot using undetermined caliber of firearm by unidentified suspect.

Further investigation disclosed that prior to the incident; the victim went outside his house of said place purposely to verify the barking dogs, when suddenly unidentified suspect shot him.

Victim sustained gunshot wound on his left chest and brought to Ozamis City Hospital for medical treatment, while suspect fled to undetermined direction.

Furthermore, the incident was reported to Josefina MPS around 12:20 PM of March 17, 2019 by the live-in partner of the victim identified as Liwaya Matres Saladaga.

The place where the incident happened is a remote area with more or less 15 kilometers away from Josefina municipality with low/weak signal.

PNP personnel of Josefina MPS conducted thorough investigation and follow up operation to possibly identify, locate and arrest the fleeing suspect.

Vehicular Accident

DUMALINAO, Zamboanga del Sur (March 20, 2019) – Vehicular accident transpired along the national road particularly at Purok Manga, Barangay Camanga, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur  at about 2:20 AM of March 19, 2019.

Initial investigation conducted found out two single mc meet into contact with each other in the middle of the road.

Vehicle one (V1) Honda XRM 125 color black and white combination with plate number XY 5093 driven by Abdurakim Ajidi Hammisani, 43 years old, married, Philippine Army and a resident of Bus- Bus, Jolo Sulu en route bound to Tigbao direction and

Vehicle two (V2) Suzuki Raider 150 color Black and red combination with for registration plate attached driven by Julito Romaguira Escalante, 26y/o, single sales boy by profession and a resident of Purok 2, Barangay Lacupayan, Barangay Tigbao along with his back rider Kristene Plantar Vellagonzalo, 24 years old, single, Dicer by profession and a resident of Purok Nazareth, Barangay Buenavista, Pagadian City en route bound to Pagadian City.

V1 and V2 in opposite direction upon reaching the place of incident crashed head to head collision. That the V2 evaded the white lane DPWH markings (Rumble Strips) on the road which caused a vehicle to rattle not noticing that V1 was also approaching towards his direction as a result the two crashed head on at the center of the road.

Driver of V1 and the back rider of the V2 who sustained injuries to the different parts of their body were immediately rushed by the members of Dumalinao MDRRMO at Zamboanga del Sur Medical Center, Barangay Dao, Pagadian City for treatment while the driver of V1 was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician because of a severe injury to his head.

The driver of V2 who sustained minor injuries to his face and was believed to be under the influence of liquor was brought to the same hospital by the alert team led by PO3 Roberto Soon to be submitted for sobriety test, while the two single mc was brought to the police station for proper disposition.

Top 8 Most Wanted Person (Tigbao Municipality), Captured

TIGBAO, Zamboanga del Sur (March 19, 2019) - PNP personnel of Tigbao MPS conducted operation at Purok 2, Barangay Tigbao, Tigbao. Zamboanga del Sur at about 1:20 PM of March 18, 2019.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Petronilo Badilles Y Caolawon 54 years old, listed, Top 8 Most Wanted Person (Tigbao Municipality).

The arrest was by virtue of warrant of arrest docketed under Criminal Case # 7716-2k5 issued by Judge of RTC 9 Branch 20, Pagadian City for the crime of Robbery With Force Upon Things with forty thousand pesos Php40,000.00) bail for his temporary liberty.

The arrested person was temporarily detained at Tigbao MPS for proper disposition.

Man Arrested for the Crime of Attempted Homicide

GUIPOS, Zamboanga del Sur (March 20, 2019) - PNP personnel of Guipos Municipal Police Station conducted police operation (Service of Arrest Warrant) at Purok 1-A, Barangay Dalapan, Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur at about 9:30 AM, 19 March 2019.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Oscar Golosenda Castrodes, 39 years old, married, farmer, and a resident of Purok 1-A, Dalapan, Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of Attempted Homicide, docketed under Criminal Case No. 3441-G, dated 26 October 2018, issued by Presiding Judge, Municipal Circuit Trial Court, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur with bail bond fixed at twelve thousand pesos (Php 12, 000.00).

He is now under the custody of said police station for inquest.

Driver Held for the Crime of Act of Lasciviousness

RAMON MAGSAYSAY, Zamboanga del Sur (March 20, 2019) - PNP personnel of Ramon Magsaysay Municipal Police Station conducted police operation (Service of Arrest Warrant) at Purok 1, Barangay Sinaguing, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga del Sur at about 10:05 AM, 19 March 2019.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Jerome Batanay Y Ligan, 21 years old, single, driver by occupation, and a resident of Purok 1, Barangay Sinaguing, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga del Sur.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of Act of Lasciviousness, docketed under Criminal Case 15-10,1163, dated 16 December 2015, issued by Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court 9, Branch 30, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur with bail bond fixed at twelve thousand pesos (Php 12, 000.00).

He is now under the custody of said police station for inquest.

RA 9262 Violator Nabbed

MOLAVE, Zamboanga Del Sur (March 21, 2019) - PNP Personnel of Pagadian City Police Station conducted police operation on wanted person at J Print Zone, Purok Makiangayon, Barangay Blancia, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 4:00 PM of March 20, 2019.

The operation was resulted in the arrest of Jaynol Permaran Villoria, 31 year’s old, male, married and presently residing at Purok Maliwanag Dos, Barangay Parasan, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The accused arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the Violation Of Section 5(I) Of Republic Act 9262 docketed under Criminal Case # 14325-2K19 issued by Honorable Judge Acting Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 22, Pagadian City dated March 20, 2019, with bail bond recommended of Seventy two thousand pesos (P72,000.00).

The arrested person is now under the custody of Pagadian City Police Station for proper disposition.

February 16-25, 2019 - Reported incident from the municipalities of Zamboanga del Sur

Fire Incident

PAGADIAN CITY (Feb. 17, 2019) - Fire incident transpired at Purok Mananagat, Brgy Napolan, Pagadian City at about 01:00 AM of February 16, 2019.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that fire started at the back portion of house owned by Mrs. Carmelita C Yator utilized as stockroom of their coconut stem firewood for kitchen consumption.

The eyewitness Ms. Mary Clair M Yator disclosed that she saw how the fire started at the back portion of their house particularly the firewood stockroom. Mrs Carmelita C Yator was also awakened by her granddaughter Mary Clair also witnessed how the fire started at the stockroom.

The fire investigator of this station tried to find any remnants and pieces of evidence to come a hypothesis in the fire scene. With the destruction of fire, an aggregate pecuniary estimated damage amounting to more or less Four hundred thousand pesos (Php400,000.00) was initially assessed.

The fire incident was totally declared under control at exactly 1:40 AM of February 2019.

Sustaining no casualties and/or injuries from among the responding neighbors, relatives and firefighters, except those numbers of hog livestock burned dead on the piggery.

Hacking Incident

LAPUYAN, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 21, 2019) - Hacking incident transpired at Purok Datu Lumok, Poblacion Lapuyan, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 7:00 PM of February 20, 2019.

The victim identified as Lanie Razola Baganday, 35 years old, male, married, carpenter was hacked by the suspect identified Jorlet Masal Bernardo, 32 years old, male, married, farmer and both residents of Poblacion, Lapuyan, Zamboanga Del Sur.

Investigation conducted disclosed that prior to the incident, the duo were having a drinking spree at the house of Baltimore Bernardo when heated argument ensued between them and without any reason the suspect hacked the victim.

The victim sustained hacked wounds on his head and on his neck that caused his instantaneous death.

After the incident, the suspect fled towards east direction of above cited place. The SOCO team from processed the crime scene.

Motive of the incident is personal grudge. Lapuyan MPS is conducting hot pursuit operation against the fleeing suspect and preparing a criminal complaint against him. 

Councilor of San Fernando, Cebu City Shot Dead in Zamboanga Del Sur

RAMON MAGSAYSAY, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 23, 2019) - Shooting incident transpired at Purok 2, Barangay Poblacion, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 6:30 AM of February 23, 2019.

PCSUPT Emmanuel Luis D Licup, PRO9 Regional Director identified the victim as Alfonso Salmero Donaire IV, 37 years old, married, a Sangguniang Bayan Member of San Fernando, Cebu City.

He was shot to death by unidentified motorcycle riding suspects (MRS) onboard undetermined type of single motorcycle, accordingly the driver was wearing a face mask, while the back rider was wearing a jacket with under garment and long pants.

Investigation disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim was walking at the above-mentioned place of incident going to his father’s residence at Purok 2, Barangay Poblacion, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga del Sur, when unidentified motorcycle riding suspects followed the victim and shot several times using caliber 45 and 9mm pistol. Victim sustained gunshot wounds on the different parts of his body which resulted to his instantaneous death, while suspects fled to the direction of Molave Municipality, Zamboanga Del Sur.

PNP personnel of Ramon Magsaysay Municipal Police Station immediately conducted hot pursuit operation for the possible arrest of the fleeing suspects. Evidence recovered from the crime scene were three (3) fired cartridge case of caliber 45 pistol and two (2) fired cartridge case of caliber 9mm pistol.

Victim now lies at the residence of his father located at Purok 2, Barangay Poblacion, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga Del Sur, while motive of the incident still to be determine. (By JONG CADION with PRO9 PIO PR and photo)

Rape Suspect Arrested

TIGBAO, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 23, 2019) - On February 22, 2019 at about 9:30 PM, PNP personnel of Tigbao Municipal Police Station conducted police operation (Service of Arrest Warrant) at Purok Gawasnon, Barangay Begong, Tigbao, Zamboanga Del Sur. 

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Faustino Fasion Y Tapdasan Jr, 31 years old, single, a resident of Purok Gawasnon, Barangay Begong, Tigbao, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of Rape, docketed under CC NR 9298-2K9, dated 27 July 2009, issued by Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, Branch 19, Pagadian City with no bail bond.

Subject person temporarily detained at Tigbao MPS detention cell for proper disposition.

Shooting Incident victim dead with 8 GSW

SAN MIGUEL, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 22, 2019)_ - Shooting incident transpired at Purok Sta Lucia, Dao-An, San Miguel, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 6:00 Pm of February 21, 2019.

 The victim identified as Lumer Manigo Calunod, 43 years old, male, married, farmer and a resident of the Purok 7, Betinan, San Miguel, Zamboanga Del Sur.

Investigation conducted disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim together with four other individuals were having drinking spree at cita videoke house situated at the above-mentioned place, wherein at about 5:00 PM of the same date, the victim together with the above mentioned companions were walking towards the resident of one their companion and at about 6:30 PM of the same date.

 The victim was found lying dead at the side of the narrow road who sustained eight (8) visible gunshot wound at the back of his body from an unidentified caliber of firearm.

PNP elements of San Miguel MPS is now conducting follow-up investigation to possibly identify and arrest the suspect/s

Rape Suspect Captured in Zamboanga Del Sur          

LABANGAN, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 22, 2019) - Joint PNP Personnel of Labangan Municipal Police Station and Zamboanga Del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company conducted police operation against wanted person at IBT/Public Market, Barangay New Labangan, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 9:10 AM of February 21, 2019.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Rene Maquinto Apostadero, 32 years old, single, and a resident of Purok 6, Barangay Bokong, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur.

He was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Rape (3 Counts)  under criminal case number 14153-2k19, 14154-2k19, 14155-2k19, and for the crime of statutory rape (5 counts) under criminal case number 14156-2k19, 14157-2k19, 14158-2k19, 14159-2k19, 14160-2k19, all issued by Acting Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, Branch 22, 9th Judicial Region, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur, dated January 18, 2019, and no bail bond recommended.

Arrested wanted person is now detained under the temporary custody of Labangan MPS for proper disposition.

San Pablo MPS Anti-Illegal Logging Operation

SAN PABLO, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 23, 2019) – On February 22, 2019 at about 9:30 PM, PNP personnel of San Pablo Municipal Police Station conducted anti-illegal logging operation at Barangay Kundom, San Pablo, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The operation was resulted to the confiscation of more or less two hundred (200) pieces cut lumber with a total volume of 1250 board feet of Gemilena and Santol tree.

The caretaker of the lumber failed to present legal documents during the verification, while the owner of the lumber later identified as Ranelio Cañete, legal age, businessman, married, a resident of Barangay Poloyagan, Pagadian City.

Subject lumber is now under the custody of San Pablo MPS for proper disposition pending verification from CENRO.

Stabbing Incident

LAKEWOOD, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 25, 2019) - Stabbing incident transpired at Purok Mauswagon, Barangay Tubod, Lakewood, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 3:15 PM of February 24, 2019.

The victim identified as Jessie Recaña y Magdadaro, 35 years old, married, farmer and resident of Purok Bagong Lipunan, Tubod, Lakewood, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The suspect identified as Wilfredo Magdadaro y Dabalos, 53 years old, married, farmer and resident of Purok Mountain View, Barangay Bolisong, Kumalarang, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The victim allegedly stabbed by his uncle the suspect with the use of gaff or locally known as “Bulang” and upon arrival of the responding PNP elements of Lakewood MPS at the area of incident, the said victim was already brought to Hemillarin Hospital, Pagadian City while the suspect voluntarily surrender to Hon. Arnel Pano, Barangay Captain of Tubod, Lakewood, Zamboanga Del Sur before it was turned-over to the responding team.

The suspect is now under custody of Lakewood MPS for proper disposition.

Shooting Incident

TIGBAO, Zamboanga Del Sur (Feb. 25, 2019) - Shooting incident transpired inside the house of Teddy Tampos Y Dumaging, situated at Purok 1, Barangay Maragang Tigbao, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 8:50 PM of February 25, 2019.

The victim was identified as Max Dequito Y Rebatado, 42 years old, Filipino, married, farmer and a resident of Purok 4, Barangay Maragang, Tigbao, Zamboanga del Sur. He was sustained one (1) Gunshot Wound on his left forearm and passed through his right chest and was immediately rushed to Zamboanga del Sur Medical Center, Dao Pagadian City for medical treatment.

The unidentified suspect fled unseen to vegetated area of said place after the incident.

Investigation conducted disclosed that victim visited the house of his cousin identified as Teddy Tampos to celebrate the birthday of Teddy’s son, however, while they were preparing to cook a native chicken for their dinner, unfortunately they heard a one (1) burst of a fire arm coming from outside of said house while the main door was opened, both of them was shocked, fortunately victim evade fatality and able to run towards the kitchen of said house.

Responding team recovered one (1) piece cartridge case of alleged caliber .45 pistols. Motive of the incident is apparently personal grudge.

Top 9 Most Wanted Person, Captured in Tabina, Zambo Sur

TABINA, Zamboanga del Sur (Feb. 25, 2019) - Joint PNP personnel of Zamboanga Del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company and Tabina MPS conducted manhunt operation against Top 9 most wanted person (Municipal level) at Purok San Lorenzo, Brgy. Baganian, Tabina, Zamboanga del Sur at about 11:20 PM of February 25, 2019.

The operation was resulted to the arrest of Junrel Paalisbo y Enanor, 34 years old, single and a resident of Brgy. Baganian, Tabina, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The suspect was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest docketed under Criminal case Nos. 18-097 issued by Hon. Ruben N Bance, Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, Branch 29, 9th Judicial Region, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur for the crime of Murder with No Bail is recommended for his temporary liberty.
