Shooting Incident
PAGADIAN CITY - Shooting incident has transpired at Purok Palmera,
Balangasan District, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur on October 28, 2016 at
about 11:40 pm wherein the victim was immediately brought to borbon hospital
for treatment. The victim identified as Mea
Grace Baya Sta. Cruz, 39 years old, married a resident of Purok Palmera,
Balangasan District, Pagadian City, Zamboanga Del Sur. the victim sustained a
gunshot wound on her left neck wherein the attending physician declared the
victim dead on arrival. Initial investigation disclosed that at about 11:20 PM of
the same date, while the victim was inside her house sitting on at the sofa
watching television together with her daughter when suddenly someone knocked on
the door and called her name. The victim stood up to open the door and suddenly
one (1) unidentified person shot the victim. Joana Sta. Cruz woke up when she
heard the gun burst and saw her mother lying on the floor. With the assistance
of their neighbor, the victim was immediately rushed to Borbon Hospital,
Pagadian City for immediate treatment. Recovered at the crime scene were three
pieces of empty shell of caliber .9mm. motive of the incident is love triangle.
