Thirteen assorted firearms voluntary turned-over to Tigbao MPS by the Barangay Chairmen.

On May 29, 2018 at about 10:00 AM, The Barangay Chairman Jaime Ulo of Barangay Maragang, Tigbao, Zamboanga Del Sur turned over and surrendered to Tigbao MPS his seven assorted firearms:

Three (3) unit improvise shotgun;

One (1) unit sumpak;

One (1) unit caliber 45 with ammunition;

One (1) unit caliber 38with ammunition;

One (1) unit caliber 45 m1911 A1 FS G1 with serial no.1408643.

At about 04:30 PM of May 29, 2018 Barangay Chairman Armando Bucog of Barangay Lacupayan, Tigbao also turned over and surrendered to Tigbao MPS his following firearms:

One (1)unit homemade 20 gauge with ammunition;

One (1) unit improvise 12 gauge (sumpak)with ammunition;

Two (2) unit homemade 38 cal. Revolver with ammunition.

While Barangay Manolito Villapas of Barangay Diana countryside, Tigbao turned over and surrendered his following firearms:

One (1) unit homemade 38 cal. Revolver,

One (1) unit homemade 38 cal. Revolver with ammunition.

Said firearms were now under the custody of Tigbao MPS for safekeeping.

On May 29, 2018 at about 2:00 PM, PNP elements of Pitogo MPS incoordination, communication and cooperation between Local Chief Executive headed by Mayor Richard Garban and the Barangay Chairman of Pitogo, Zamboanga del Sur in relation to Balik Baril Program resulted to the turned over of;

One (1) unit M14 riflewith

one (1) magazine and

five (5) live ammos,  

One (1) unit KG9 with

one (1) Magazine,

One (1) unit M79 with

five (5) live ammos,

Fifteen (15) unit improvisedshotgun,

Three (3) unit Magnum 357 revolver,

One (1) unit 38 snub nose,

Two (2) units magnum 22. 

Said firearms are now under the custody of Pitogo MPS for safekeeping.

On May 28, 2018 at about 10:00 AM, PNP personnel of Molave MPS received the

seven (7) caliber 45 pistol and

four (4) 12 gauge shotgun from Barangay Captain Amado Blancia, Barangay Captain Anastacio Bahinting, Barangay Captain Desiderio Jabello,   Barangay Captain Domingo Simeon, Barangay Captain Elsie Banuelos,   Barangay Captain Francisco Bertulfo and Barangay Councilor Nelson Templa, All of Molave Municipality, Zamboanga Del Sur.

Subject firearms were voluntarily deposited for safe keeping and subsequently turned over to PO3 Julieto Impel Lumingo, Supply PNCO of Molave MPS for proper disposition.

NEWS RELEASE - May 29, 2018

Woman Nabbed in Pagadian for Perjury

On May 29, 2018 at about 9:20 AM, Joint operation of Pagadian CPS and Dumalinao MPS conducted service of warrant of arrest at Justice Hall, Gatas District, Pagadian City.

The operation resulted in the arrest of Marcelina Sipsip Bacorro, 58 years old, female, married, and a resident of Purok Asusinas, Barangay Lucuban, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur.

Said wanted person was arrested by the virtue of the warrant of arrest issued by Honorable Joel G Vercide, Presiding Judge, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 01, Pagadian City for the crime of Perjury under Article 183 of the Revised Penal Code issued on April 24, 2018 with criminal case number 17782 with bail bond recommended amounted to (Php 4,000.00).

The accused is now temporary detained at Pagadian CPS while waiting for final adjudication from court.

NEWS RELEASE - May 28, 2018

Shooting Incident in Pagadian City

Shooting incident transpired at Purok Talisay, Pedulonan, Pagadian City at about 9:00 PM of May 27, 2018.

Investigation conducted disclosed that around 9:00 PM of May 27, 2018, the victim identified as Janeth Gemina Laporteza together with her husband identified as Domingo Dacame Laporteza and her son Allan Gemina Laporteza. They went out from their house and walked going to the house of the suspect who is also the victim’s sister identified as Gina Gemina Altobar, incumbent barangay chairman of mentioned barangay.

Upon arrival at the house of the suspect, victim then shouted to quote: “Kinsay Isog Diha, Gawas (Who’s Brave Out there?)” unquote.

Then the suspect went out from her house holding an undetermined caliber of firearm and shot the victim several times hitting on the back portion of her body and left leg and was immediately brought to Pagadian City Medical Center, San Francisco District, Pagadian City for medical treatment and now in stable condition.

Further, investigation revealed that victim’s husband were able to returned fire hitting the barangay chairwoman on her left breast who was arrested by the responding PNP elements of Pagadian City Police Station during pursuit operation and presently confined at Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center, Dao, Pagadian City for medical attention.

Joint personnel of Pagadian City Police, Zamboanga Del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company, Headquarters ZSPPO and elements of 53RD BN are now conducting follow up operation for the possible arrest of Domingo Dacame Laporteza.

Motive of incident is personal grudge due to real property dispute/land conflict. Investigator is PO2 Mizrach S Lapid with CP # 09122923933.

Rape Suspect Arrested in Pagadian City         

PNP Personnel from Pagadian CPS conducted police operation on Service of Arrest Warrant at Purok Mauswagon, Barangay Banale, Pagadian City At about 11:00 AM of May 28, 2018.

The operation resulted to the arrest of Conrado Gumisong Aurelia, 72 years old, male, married, and resident of Purok Mauswagon, Barangay Banale, Pagadian City,

He was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of RAPE issued by Hon. Analyn F Ramas-Constanilla, Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 22, Pagadian City, docketed under Criminal Case No. 13875, 2k18 with no bail bond recommended.

Subject arrested person is now temporary detained at Pagadian CPS detention cell awaiting court disposition.

NEWS RELEASE - May 27, 2018

Man Held for Estafa in Lapuyan

On May 27, 2018 at about 2:00 PM, PNP personnel of Lapuyan MPS conducted operation against wanted person at Sitio Behing, Datu Lumok, Poblacion, Lapuyan, Zamboanga del Sur.

The operation resulted in the arrest of Romeo Z. Bayamban, 62 years old, male, married, Jobless, resident of above-mentioned place.

This is by virtue of warrant of arrest for crime of Estafa in criminal case number 14-136 issued by Honorable Felix B. Rodriguez Jr. Acting presiding Judge of Municipal Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region Branch 29, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur with Bail Bond recommended Amounting to Eighteen Thousand pesos(P18, 000).

Accused is now temporary detained at Lapuyan MPS while waiting the court order from the issuing court for proper Disposition. 

NEWS RELEASE - May 25, 2018

Theft Suspect Arrested in Pagadian City

PNP personnel of Pagadian City Police Station conducted manhunt operation at Purok Bagong Silang, Barangay Balangasan, Pagadian City at about 2:20 PM of May 24, 2018.

This resulted in the arrest of Arjane Engarcial Lumambong, Filipino, 24 years old, female, married and a resident of Purok Bagong Silang, Barangay Balangasan, Pagadian City.

He was arrested for the crime of Qualified Theft with no bail bond recommended under Criminal Case No. 13861-2k18 before the sala of Dennis P Vicoy, Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 20, Pagadian City.

Arrested accused is now temporary detained at the lock-up cell of Pagadian CPS while waiting for court order of the issuing court for proper disposition.

NEWS RELEASE - May 24, 2018

Suicide Incident in Midsalip

A dead body found at Purok 2A, Barangay Sigapod, Midsalip, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 6:00 O’clock in the morning of May 24, 2018.

Immediately thereafter, PNP personnel of Midsalip MPS proceeded to the said place to verify the veracity of the report and to conduct initial investigation.

Upon arrival of responding team, found the Victim lifeless and was hanging on the Gemelina tree using with a rope,  victim identified as one (1) Loloy Tumasic y Mansip, 44 years old, married, CAA member of 5th IB Philippine Army, presently assigned at Sigapod CAA detachment and resident of Purok 2A, Barangay Sigapod, Midsalip ZDS.

Midsalip MPS still conducting follow-up investigation to determine the motive of the incident, SPO1 Julie Raagas Capangpangan–investigator on case with cell phone No. 09389852493.

Wanted Person Arrested in Dumalinao

PNP personnel of Dumalinao MPS proceeded to Purok Maisan, Barangay Sebucao, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 9:00 O’clock in the morning of May 24, 2018 to serve the Warrant Of Arrest.

The operating team successfully arrested the suspect identified as Jubane Mangay Quilar, 23 years old, single, resident of the above mention place for a crime of Reckless Imprudence Resulting in Damage to Property.

The Warrant of Arrest was issued by Pacifico T. Cimafranca Jr., presiding Judge dated April 18, 2018, 9th Judicial Region, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur docketed under criminal case number 3414-D.

Accused is now temporary detained at Dumalinao MPS lock-up cell while waiting the court order of the issuing court for proper disposition.

NEWS RELEASE - May 23, 2018

Accomplishment on Loose Firearms in Dinas            

On May 22, 2018 at about 4:00 PM, PNP personnel of Dinas MPS, Regional Special Operation Group-Task Force Tugis, 902nd Mobile Company of Regional Mobile Force Battalion 9, Zamboanga Del Sur Mobile Company and Provincial Investigation and Detection Management Branch of Zamboanga Del Sur conducted follow-up/tip-off operation at Barangay Ludiong, Dinas, Zambaonga Del Sur.

The operation is to recover the M16 Rifle owned by the arrested Top 1 Most Wanted Person MPS Level identified as Eddie Embodo Guerra last May 19, 2018 at Purok Gana-gana, Ludiong, Dinas, Zamboanga del Sur.

The operating teams successfully recovered one (1) M16 Rifle, Elisco, bearing Serial Number RP 218208; one (1) short magazine loaded with five (5) live ammunitions found at the small nipa hut use as copra drier (landahan) believed to be owned by the arrested suspect.

Recovered firearm and ammunitions is now under the custody of Dinas MPS for proper case disposition.

NEWS RELEASE - May 22, 2018

Shooting Incident in Pagadian City

On May 21, 2018 at about 6:00 PM, a shooting incident transpired at Purok Sili, Barangay Kahayagan, Pagadian City wherein victim identified as Joseph Diano Ramirez Sr. 46 y/o, married, Security Guard of Gamalinda Funeral Homes Pagadian City, a resident of Purok Daraan, Gubang, Pagadian City was shot by unidentified person.

Investigation conducted disclosed that the victim together with his daughter was traversing the barangay road of Kahayagan from Barangay Gubang on board his Single motorcycle Honda Wave 100 Black/Red plate number 8966JC. Upon reaching Purok Sili, Barangay Kahayagan he was tailed by two unidentified persons on board on motorcycle Black Honda XRM without plate number, suddenly the back-rider shot the victim several times.

Victim sustained gunshot wounds on different part of his body and was rushed to Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center by concerned citizens for medical treatment and luckily his daughter unharmed.

Suspects fled towards the direction of Barangay Danlugan, Pagadian City, recovered from the crime scene two (2) empty shells of cal. 45.

Pagadian CPS still conducting follows up investigation to identify the suspects and to determine the motive of the incident. Investigator is PO1 Rolito O Sinajon Jr (0955-579-0993).

Report on Loose Firearms for Safe Keeping in Kumalarang

On May 21, 2018 at about 11:00 AM, A total of Nine (9) units of loose firearms from Different barangays of Kumalarang Municipality were surrendered to Kumalarang MPS.

The surrender of loose firearms showed after the PNP personnel of Kumalarang MPS intensified the conduct of the campaign against loose firearms through a dialogue with the different incumbent Barangay Officials during the Barangay visitation in the AOR.

Above-mentioned deposited Firearms are now under the temporary custody of Kumalarang MPS for safe keeping.

Retired Scout Ranger Arrested for Violation of RA 9262 in Molave

Combined elements of Molave MPS, Regional Intelligence Division 9 and 902nd Mobile Company of Regional Mobile Forces Battalion 9 and Bonifacio MPS conducted police operation re service of Warrant of Arrest at Purok 1, Brgy Calolot, Bonifacio, Misamis Occidental at about 1:30 PM of May 21, 2018.

This resulted in the arrest of 2lt Demetrio Buyan Hernando, a retired Phil Army Scout Ranger, previously assigned at 5th IB, PA based at Tangub City, Misamis Occidental.

The herein fugitive currently employed as a VIP escort of incumbent Mayor Samson R Dumanjug, of Bonifacio Misamis Occidental.

Subject person has a standing Warrant of Arrest for Violation Of Section 5 E-2 IN Relation to RA 9262 in further relation to section 5 of RA 8369, docketed in CC number 18851, RTC 4th Judicial Region, Branch 75, San Mateo, Rizal issued by Hon Beatrice A Caunan Medina- Presiding Judge.

Arrested accused was brought to Bonifacio MPS for documentation and was later transported to Molave MPS for proper disposition.

PRESS RELEASE - May 20, 2018

Dinas Top Most Wanted Arrested

On May 19, 2018 at about 9:30 AM, PNP personnel of Dinas MPS and Regional Special Operation Group of Police Regional Office 9 conducted police operation (Service of Arrest Warrant) at Purok Gana-gana, Barangay Ludiong, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The operation resulted to the arrest of Eddie Embodo Guerra (Top Most Wanted Person – Municipal Level), 49 years old, married, farmer, and resident of Purok Gana-gana, Ludiong, Dinas, Zamboanga del Sur.

The accused was arrested by virtue of two (2) Warrant of Arrest, to wit:  Frustrated Murder issued by Hon. Felix B. Rodriguez, Presiding Judge, Branch 29, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur docketed under Criminal Case No. 15-004, dated 12 February 2015 with bail bond recommended of two hundred thousand pesos (Php 200,000.00).

The second warrant of arrest is Murder issued by Hon. Romeo T. Descallar, Presiding Judge, Branch 19, 9th Judicial Region, Pagadian City docketed under Criminal Case No. 14-030, dated 26 March 2018, with no bail bond recommended.

Subject person is now temporary detained at Dinas Municipal Detention Center awaiting court disposition.

Shooting and Hacking Incident in San Miguel

On May 20, 2018 at about 7:00 AM, a dead body was found along the barangay road of Purok 1, Barangay Langilan, San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur.

Upon receipt of said report, PNP elements of San Miguel MPS responded to the place on incident.

Upon arrival thereat, responding team saw that several residents of said place were already at the crime scene. The team found a dead body lying along of the abovementioned place. 

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that, victim was identified as Warren Deringan Y Sumadia, 26 years old, single, jobless and a resident of Purok Quirino, Barangay Balongating, Guipos, Zamboanga del Sur.

Further investigation revealed that, at around 1:00 o’clock in the morning of same date, while said victim armed with a bolo was on his way walking going to the house of certain Rosendo Suela located at same barangay.

Upon reaching at the place of incident, unidentified suspects waylaid him at the side of the road and shot him many times using a caliber .45, Cal .30 carbine and a shotgun based on the fired cartridge cases recovered at the crime scene.

One of the suspects was not yet contented instead he stabbed and hacked the victim using his own bolo which resulted to his untimely death.

Motive of the incident is still to be determined.

Evidences recovered at the crime scene were the following:

Two (2) fired cartridge cases of caliber .45,

Four (4) fired cartridge cases of caliber .30 carbine, 

one (1) slug of caliber .45,

one (1) fired cartridge case of 12 gauge shotgun and

one (1) sharp bolo measuring 62 cm with wooden handle and scabbard.

San Miguel MPS investigator is PO3 Rammel M Gansad with contact no. 09101651735 is now conducting thorough investigation for the possible identification and apprehension of the suspects.

Murder Suspect Arrested in Midsalip

On May 20, 2018 at about 6:00 PM, Combined elements of Police Regional Office 9 Special Operation Group-Regional Intelligence Division 9, 902nd Mobile Company of Regional Mobile Force Battalion 9, Midsalip MPS and Bayog MPS executed the service of Arrest Warrant.

The operation against the suspect of Frustrated Murder docketed under cc#13346-2K17 dated February20, 2017, issued by Hon. Romeo T. Descallar, Presiding Judge, 9th RTC, Br 19, Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur.

The suspect identified as David Alagon @ "Kepig" at Purok 3, Brgy. Pisompongan, Midsalip, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The subject has reportedly transferred residence from Bayog Municipality to Midsalip Muncipality after having committed crime in Bayog some few years back.

He is presently detained at Midsalip MPS . Formal report will follow

PRESS RELEASE on INCIDENT REPORTS - May 19, 2018

RA 9165 Violator Arrested in Dinas

Joint PNP personnel of Dinas MPS and PNP personnel of Dimataling MPS conducted manhunt operation at Upper Sibul, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 9:30 PM of May 18, 2018.

The operation resulted in the arrest of Roy Segovia Pabriga, 36 years old, married, farmer, resident of the above-mentioned place.

The arrest was by virtue of Warrant of arrest issued by Hon. Ruben N Bance Presiding Judge of Branch 29 Judicial Region San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur for Violation Of Article 2, Section 11 of R.A. 9165 docketed under Criminal Case No. 16-149 with a bail bond fixed at Php 400,000 for his temporary liberty.

Arrested suspect is now temporary detained at Dinas MPS locked-up cell while waiting, for the court’s order for proper disposition.

Woman Arrested for Slander in Tigbao

On May 19, 2018 at about 11:20 AM, PNP personnel of Tigbao MPS conducted police operation (Service of Arrest Warrant) at Purok 7, Barangay Poblacion, Tigbao, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The operation resulted to the arrest of Edmarie Naong Gaan, 22 years old, single, and resident of Purok 1, Barangay Maragang, Tigbao, Zamboanga del Sur.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the Crime of Serious Slander, docketed under Criminal Case Number 3426-T, issued by Hon. Pacifico Cimafranca Jr., Presiding Judge, 8^th MCTC, Dumalinao, Zamboanga del Sur with bail bond recommended of six thousand pesos (PHP 6,000.00).

Subject person is now temporary detained at Tigbao MPS awaiting court disposition.

PRESS RELEASE INCIDENT REPORTS - May 18, 2018

Hacking Incident in Ramon Magsaysay

On May 17, 2018 at about 10:00 PM, a hacking incident transpired at Purok 6, Sitio Lawis, Esperanza, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The victims were identified as Roland Tagaytay, 32 years old, married, farmer and Arnel Tagaytay, single, 24 years old, farmer and both were residents of the above mentioned place.

They were stabbed by suspect identified as Magdalino Lacia, married, 42 years old, farmer and also a resident of said place.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that victim was watching a Television at the house of the suspect, when the victim decided to go home, the suspect got mad and immediately boxed the victim and was hit on the left side of his face.

The victim immediately run towards his house and informed his nephew identified as Arnel about the incident.

In that instant, victim Arnel Tagaytay went to the house and confronted the suspect.

At course of their confrontation a heated arguments ensued between them and without any apparent reason, suspect hacked Arnel Tagaytay on his head using a bladed weapon and fled towards the back portion of his house and fled to unknown direction.

Both victims were brought to Blancia Hospital, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur for immediate medical treatment.

Investigator on case is now conducting thorough investigation while appropriate case is now being prepared for filing in court.

INCIDENT REPORTS - May 17, 2018

Fire Incident in Pagadian City

On May 17, 2018 at about 5:57 AM, a fire incident transpired at Purok Sweet Love and Kahayag, Barangay Dumagoc, Pagadian City. 

The PNP elements of Pagadian City Police Station contacted immediately the BFP regarding the fire incident and they proceeded to the place of incident.

Upon arrival thereat, responding team immediately cordoned the area, assists the flow of traffic, and secures the area.

Initial investigation conducted by the BFP investigator disclosed that, the fire originated at the house owned by Mrs. Pacita Navies particularly at their kitchen. Accordingly, her son Rainier Navies was cooking using firewood and was left unattended.

Their neighbors saw that the kitchen portion of their house was already on fire and suddenly escalated to the neighboring houses more or less thirty (30) houses.

All the houses were razed by fire. During the incident, there were no reported casualties/injuries.

The BFP declared fire out at around 7:15 PM. The cost of damage still to determined. BFP investigator still conducted further investigation regarding the incident.    

Dinas Police arrested Murder Suspect

On May 17, 2018 at about 8:30 AM, Joint elements of Dinas MPS and Iligan City Police conducted police operation (Service of Warrant of Arrest) at Bagsakan 2, Mahayahay, Iligan City.

The operation resulted to the arrest of Brodie Vega Ordaniza, 27 years old, single, butcher, temporarily residing at Ma. Cristina, Balo-I, Lanao del Norte and with Provincial address at Barangay Kinakap, Dinas, Zamboanga del Sur.

Said person has a standing warrant of arrest issued by Hon. Edilberto G Absin, Presiding Judge of Branch 29 Judicial Region San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur for the crime of Frustrated Murder docketed under Criminal Case No. 12-031 with a bail fixed at Two Hundred Thousand Pesos (P200, 000.00).

Arrested person is now under the custody of Dinas MPS while waiting for the proper disposition of his case.

RA 7610 Violator Arrested in Margosatubig

On May 17, 2018 at about 12:30 PM,. Elements of Margosatubig MPS together with San Pablo MPS conducted police operation (Service of Warrant of Arrest) through Intel Driven Operation at Barangay Tulapok, Margosatubig, Zamboanga del Sur.

The operation resulted to the arrest of Mark Darill Manceras Malaubang, 23 years old, male, jobless and a resident of Purok 2, Barangay Pao, San Pablo, Zamboanga del Sur.

Said person has pending warrant of arrest for the violation of R.A. 7610 two (2) counts with criminal case no. 13666-2k17 and 13667-2k17 issued by Hon. Benjamin R Lanzaderas, Presiding Judge, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 22, Pagadian City.

Subject person is now under the custody of Margosatubig MPS for proper disposition.

INCIDENT REPORTS - May 17, 2018

Drug Suspect Arrested in Pagadian City

On May 16, 2018 at about 3:30 PM, Joint PNP personnel of Zamboanga Del Sur PPO Drugs Enforcement Unit together with 903RD Maritime Police Station and Pagadian City Police Station conducted anti-illegal drug buy bust operation at Purok Malinawon, Barangay Santiago, Pagadian City.

This resulted in the arrest of Joko Said Alpa (listed as drug surrenderee), 43 years old, male, single, and resident of Purok Kabingaan, Campo Islam, San Pedro, Pagadian City.

Confiscated from his possession and control are two (2) pieces heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu,  one (1) piece two hundred  peso bill (Php 200) with serial number EL431514 used as marked money, and one (1) heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu (as buy-bust item).  

Arrested suspect is now temporarily detained at PDEA lock-up cell, Capitol Complex, Pagadian City for proper disposition.

Shooting and Stabbing Incident in Bayog

On May 15, 2018 at about 9:30 PM, a shooting and stabbing incident transpired at Purok 6, Barangay Bobuan, Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur.

The victims identified as Jun Bulatoc Entag, 38 years old, married, construction worker and resident of Purok 6, Barangay Bobuan, Bayog, Zamboanga del Sur and Botsoy Sumukla Sumolay, 24 years old, single, farmer and resident of Barangay Balunay, Midsalip, Zamboanga del Sur.

Investigation conducted disclosed that prior to the incident, the victim together with his wife Lorna Bulay Entag were walking on their way home coming from Barangay hall of Bobuan of said municipality.

Upon reaching near the irrigation canal with estimated distance of 200 meters away from the Barangay hall of said place, they heard a two (2) gun burst, when suddenly the victim was hit and said victim ran towards the direction where the gun burst emanated, while his wife ran towards her relatives and asked assistance.

An hour later, the wife of the victim along with her relatives returned to the place where the incident happened and found her husband lying lifeless on the rice field of said place bathed with his own blood and sustained gunshot wounds and one (1) stabbed wound on his left chest which resulted to his instantaneous death.

Furthermore, at about twenty meters (20) away from the place where the incident happened, victim identified as Botsoy Sumukla Sumolay was found lying unconscious and sustained one (1) stabbed wound on his right abdomen and was brought to Bayog Health Center and subsequently transferred to Zamboanga del Sur Medical Center for further treatment.

Further investigation conducted disclosed that based on the statement of the wife of the victim Lorna Bulay Entag on her affidavit revealed that Botsoy Sumolay Y Sumukla, was the one who shot and stabbed her husband as she lighted the suspect using a flash light during the incident when the victim Jun Entag Y Bulatoc was able to attacked and stabbed the suspect Botsoy Sumolay Y Sumukla hitting on his right abdomen.

Evidence recovered from the crime scene was one (1) hunting knife measuring 14.5 inches long to include the handle which was found twenty meters (20) away from the  place where the suspect was found lying at said place.

INCIDENT REPORT - May 14, 2018

2 Held for Violation of Comelec Gun Ban in San Miguel

Zamboanga Del Sur - On May 13, 2018 at about 10:00 AM, armed men were sighted at Purok 3, Barangay Langilan, San Miguel, Zamboanga Del Sur.

Upon receipt of the report, PNP personnel of San Miguel MPS immediately proceeded to the previously mentioned place. Upon arrival thereat, one of the two (2) male persons was carrying a long firearm and immediately ran upon seeing the presence of the responding PNP personnel.

Fortunately, the two suspects were arrested at Purok 1 and Purok 3 of said barangay and later identified as:

-Miguel Dalam Ganacan, 44 years old, (Recovered from his possession and control one homemade improvised 12 gauge shotgun loaded with two live ammunitions), and

-Epifanio Lumisay Inso, 22 years old (Recovered from his possession and control are six (6) live ammunitions of 12 gauge shotgun).

Investigation conducted disclosed that suspects were relatives of opposition candidate Rosendo Suela (PDP Laban Party) against incumbent Barangay Chairman Charlito Mogalin (NPC Party) and were allegedly present at Barangay Laperian of said municipality to support the candidacy of opposition candidate Rosendo Suela.

The suspects are now temporarily detained at San Miguel MPS while appropriate case for violation of RA 10591 is being prepared for filing in court.

Murder Suspect Arrested in Mahayag

On May 14, 2018 at about 10:00 AM,  Joint Elements from Mahayag MPS, Zamboanga Del Sur Provincial Mobile Company and Don Victoriano MPS conducted manhunt operation on service of warrant of arrest at Purok 4, Barangay Lampasan, Don Victoriano, Misamis Occidental.

The operation resulted in the arrest of Brando Macasalong Gonzagon, 36 years old, born on February 22, 1982, male, married, farmer and a resident of the above mentioned place.

He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest issued by Hon. Jaime B. Caberte, Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 23, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur dated April 05, 2018 for the crime of Frustrated Murder And Double Attempted Murder under Criminal Case # 2018-10-3526.

The bail bond recommended is fixed to Two Hundred Twenty Thousand Pesos (Php 220,000.00). Arrested accused is now temporary detained at Mahayag MPS detention cell while waiting for final adjudication from court for proper disposition.

Violation of Omnibus Election Code and Accomplishment on Loose Firearm and ammunitions

Pagadian City - On May 14, 2018 at about 12:30 PM, Hon. Raymundo Albiar y Polenzo, 52 years old, male, married, incumbent Barangay Chairman of Barangay Tuburan, Pagadian City.

He personally called up Pagadian City Police Station and reported that on or about 12:00 noon of same date while he was inside at the premises of his house located Purok Marang, Barangay Tuburan, Pagadian City, he allegedly saw a group of eight (8) male personalities onboard on a single motorcycles suddenly appeared and stayed in front of his gate.

Alarmed of their presence, he called out on recognizing them; however, they immediately drove their motorcycles and headed to Tuburan Elementary School direction through a small alley. 

While at the gate, he caught the last rider on board on a Kawasaki KLX 150 and was able to notice a bulging object tacked on his waist.

Later on, he confiscated one (1) unit Cal .45 pistol bearing serial no. 844888, chamber loaded with one live ammunition, inserted with a magazine loaded with six (6) live ammunitions of same caliber and his driven single motorcycle.

Immediately, Hon. Albiar  called-up Pagadian City Police and immediately Pagadian City Police responded to the call. Upon arrival thereat, Hon. Albiar personally turned-over the confiscated items and arrested person to the responding PNP team.

The arrested person was identified as Catalino Cantil Abangan Sr, 47 years old, male, married, self-employed and a resident of Purok Pagatpat Dos, Barangay Santa Lucia, Pagadian City.

Arrested person and items confiscated were now under the custody of Pagadian City Police Station.

The investigator PO3 Joel Limbo with contact no. 0910750106 is now conducting through investigation regarding the incident.

Suicide Incident in Pagadian City

On May 14, 2018 at about 11:00 AM of May 14, 2018. Personnel from Pagadian City Police Station received a cellular phone call from a concerned citizen informing that a suicide incident transpired at Purok Talong 2, Barangay Kahayagan, Pagadian City.

The victim identified as Jessie Yabo Irog-Irog, 37 years old, married, driver, and a resident of said place.

Acting on the said report, PNP elements of Pagadian CPS responded to the place of incident to conduct ocular inspection and investigation.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that, said incident was discovered when the victim’s eldest son Justine Irog-Irog was looking for his father and when he opened the door of the nipa hut beside their house, he saw the lifeless body of his father hanged at the truss of the hut using a nylon rope about one (1) meter long.

Upon seeing his father, he immediately went outside calling for help.

Further, investigation disclosed that, said victim was diagnosed for having a nervous breakdown due to some instances that he already attempted to make a suicide sometime on the year 2015.

Said incident has no signs or traces of struggle as well as other body injuries except the ligature marks of the rope found around his neck.

The cadaver of the victim lies at his residence located at the abovementioned place.

INCIDENT REPORT - May 13, 2018

3 Killed in Hot Pursuit Operation in Labangan

On May 12, 2018 at about 3:30 PM, shooting incident, particularly in front of Jonathan Salang Magdadaro’s residence located at Purok 2, Barangay Noburan, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur.

The victim identified as Carlos Arapoc Matas, 61 years old, male, married, and resident of Purok Fatima, Barangay Dao, Pagadian City, more or less seven (7) unidentified gunmen shot several times using M16 rifle, caliber 45 pistols, and caliber 9mm.

As a result, victim sustained several gunshot wounds in the different parts of his body that resulted to his instantaneous death, while suspects immediately fled the scene after the incident.

Evidence recovered from the crime scene are fifteen (15) cartridge case of 5.56 mm, two (2) cartridge case of caliber .45 pistol, one (1) undetermined deformed slug, one (1) cartridge case of caliber 9mm and one (1) live ammunition of caliber 9mm. 

Joint PNP personnel of Zamboanga Del Sur PPO together with the Provincial Intelligence Branch of Zambo Sur PPO, Provincial Mobile Force Company and Labangan MPS and elements of 53rd IB conducted at about 5:00 PM of same date, hot pursuit operation, Philippine Army responded at Barangay Dipaya, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur.

The operation resulted to more or less six (6) hours of firefight which led to the death/neutralization of three (3) suspects identified as:

-Butchoy Abdul (KIA) legal age, and resident of Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur, Recovered from his possession one (1) unit caliber 9mm with one magazine of same caliber;

-Bakar Inok (KIA) legal age, and resident of Barangay Lower sang-an, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur (No firearm recovered) and

-Salik Tabina (KIA), legal age, and resident of Barangay Bulanit, Labangan Zamboanga del Sur, Recovered from his possession one  unit KG9 with two magazine of same caliber.

One person wounded identified as Arnaiz Alam Kabaro a.k.a. “kabeb" Recovered from his possession one unit M4 without Magazine, legal age, and resident of Barangay Lower Sang-an, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur who is now temporarily confined at Zamboanga del Sur Medical Center.

While on the side of the PNP/AFP operating troops, PSI Aiko R Tesoro, Deputy Chief, Provincial Intelligence Branch was wounded on his right arm and was rushed to Hofileña hospital of this city and subsequently brought to Ozamis City hospital for further treatment.

Subject firearms are now under the custody of Labangan MPS for proper disposition.  PNP personnel from Provincial Crime Laboratory Office (PCLO) conducted crime scene processing. Investigator is PO2 Welito C Nuena, with cellphone number 0910-7571-250.

Homicide Suspect Arrested in Sominot

PNP personnel of Sominot MPS conducted manhunt operation against wanted person Purok 2, Brgy. Datagan, Sominot, Zamboanga del Sur at about 4:00 PM of May 12, 2018.

This resulted in the arrest of Romnick Langilan, 31 years old, married, farmer and a resident of said place.

This is by virtue of Alias Warrant of Arrest Docketed under Criminal Case Number 13- 10,968 for Homicide issued by Hon. Judge Jaime B. Caberte, Acting Presiding Judge, RTC, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 30, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur.

Bail for his temporary liberty is fixed to forty thousand (Php 40,000.00) pesos.   Arrested accused is now temporary detained at Sominot MPS locked-up cell while waiting the court order of the issuing court for proper disposition.   

Shooting incident and Hot Pursuit Operation in Labangan     

Shooting incident transpired at Barangay Noburan, Labangan Zamboanga Del Sur At about 3:30 PM of May 12, 2018 wherein victim was identified as Carlos Arapoc Matas, legal age and a resident of Purok Mahayahay, Dao, Pagadian City.

Four (4) unidentified suspects using cal. 45 pistol and cal. 5.56 M16 rifles base on the fired cartridge cage recovered from the crime scene shot him to death.

Suspects fled onboard a single motorcycle, towards the directions of Barangay Langapud, Labangan Zamboanga Del Sur wherein a hot pursuit operation was immediately conducted by PIB personnel of ZSPPO and 53rd IB, Phil Army.

Upon arrival at Barangay Langapud, Labangan Zamboanga Del Sur a fire fight ensued and as a result thereof, Two (2) unidentified suspects were neutralized and wounding PSINSP Aiko R Tesoro, Deputy, PIB, ZSPPO.

Stabbing Incident in Pagadian City

Stabbing incident transpired at Barangay Gatas, Pagadian City at about 3:20 AM of May 13, 2018. Initial investigation conducted upon arrival of the responding team, found the victim conscious laying on the ground bathed with own blood.

Victim was immediately brought at Zamboanga del Sur Medical Center, Barangay Dao, Pagadian City for medical treatment. The victim was identified as one (1) Elgen Transporte Alabata, 23 years old, male, single and resident of Purok Tugas, Barangay Balangasan, Pagadian City, sustain several stabbed wounds on different parts of his body.

Further, victim was having drinking spree with his friends, the victim saw somebody hurting someone, he tried to pacify but unidentified group of teenagers stabbed him.

The suspects run away going to Duterte Street, Barangay Gatas, Pagadian City.

Man Held for Violation of COMELEC Gun Ban in Kumalarang

Elements of 902nd, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 9 while conducting mobile patrol in the vicinity of Diplo, Kumalarang Zamboanga Del Sur At about 8:30 PM of May 12, 2018.

They received a cellular phone call from a concerned citizen informing that there was a person armed with short firearm along the road in front of Baguio Store located at Purok Hadji Dacula, Diplo, Kumalarang Zamboanga Del Sur.

Acting on the said report, PNP personnel of 902nd, RMFB9 proceeded to the reported place and able to apprehend Ebnosali Dacula Saavedra, 50 years old, Barangay Kagawad, resident of Purok Haji Dacula, Brgy. Diplo, Kumalarang armed with short firearm tacked in his waist.

The suspect failed to present legal documents and COMELEC exemption in carrying Firearms.

Confiscated from his possession were One (1) Caliber 45 Pistol, One (1) Magazine and Twelve (12) rounds of live ammunitions.

Apprehended suspect is now temporary detained at Kumalarang MPS locked-up cell while preparing appropriate charge against the suspect in court.
