Shooting Incident in Ramon Magsaysay

On May 3, 2018 at about 5:00 PM, Shooting incident transpired at the vicinity of Purok 4, Brgy. Paradise, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga del Sur.

The victim Michael Maglasang Ortiz, 58 years old, male, married, farmer, and a residence of Purok 4, Brgy. Paradise, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga Del Sur. Unidentified persons on board on a XRM 125 color red combination shot him.

As a result, the victim sustained two (2) GSW at his head resulted to his sudden death. Recovered at the crime scene three (3) empty shells of Caliber .45 pistols.

Investigation conducted disclosed that while the victim was washing their dirty garments at the side of their house, suspect entered inside their house and shot the victim several times and immediately fled to the direction of Molave, Zamboanga del Sur.

PNP personnel of Ramon Magsaysay MPS conducted follow up investigation to determine the motive and possible arrest of the suspect. Investigator is PO1 Rogelio S. Awa Jr. with cp No. 09098351899.

Ex-Convict Arrested for Illegal Possession of FA in Molave

On May 4, 2018 at about 8:34 AM, an unidentified male person carrying a short firearm was cited along Capistrano Street, Barangay Madasigon, Molave, Zamboanga del Sur.

Upon receipt of the report, alert team of Molave MPS responded to the reported place to conduct investigation as to the veracity of said report.

While on the process of conducting investigation, it was found that PO1 Roel Endrena had already engaged in a shootout with the suspect who ran away and reportedly hiding at the house of certain Manuel Vismanoz, located at Guillingan Street, Barangay Madasigon, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur.

Immediately, the responding PNP team conducted hot pursuit/dragnet operation and was able to arrest the suspect later identified as Roger Placedo Ginsayaw, 37 years old, ex-convict from San Ramon Penal Colony (under parole probation), tri-sikad driver, and resident of Midsalip Municipality and presently residing at Purok Manga, Blancia Street, Barangay Madasigon, Molave, all of Zamboanga del Sur.

Confiscated from his possession and control one (1) unit homemade caliber 38 revolver (Smith and Wesson), no serial number with six (6) live ammunitions on the chamber with holster.

Investigation conducted disclosed that prior to the incident, PO1 Roel Endrena personally saw two (2) male persons chasing each other along Capistrano Street, Barangay Madasigon, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur wherein one of them was calling for help.

Thereby, PO1 Roel Endrena responded and identified himself as police officer, when suddenly the suspect pulled out a short firearm from his waistline and shot once the said PNP personnel but fortunately was not hit and subsequently (PO1 Roel Endrena) return fire hitting the left leg of the suspect.

However, suspect still managed to run towards the house of Manuel Vismanoz of said place.

Further investigation conducted revealed that suspect was one of the suspects involved in robbery incident transpired last week particularly at the municipality of Aurora, province of Zamboanga del Sur. 

Suspect is now presently confined at Blancia Hospital, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur for medical treatment, while an Inquest case for direct assault, violation of COMELEC Gun Ban, and RA 10591 are being prepared for filing in court.

Robbery Suspect Held in Aurora

On May 4, 2018 at about 12:30 PM, PNP personnel of Aurora MPS conducted manhunt operation against wanted person at Purok San Roque, Barangay Waterfall, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur that resulted in the arrest of Ryan Hernando Lagos, 30 years old, married, farmer and resident of Purok San Roque, Barangay Waterfall, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur.

This is by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Robbery, docketed under Criminal Case No. 18-10, 1515, issued by Hon. Analyn F Ramas Constanilla, Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 30, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur with bail bond recommended fixed at Fourty thousand pesos (PHP 40,000.00).

Subject person is now temporarily detained at Aurora Municipal Detention Center awaiting court disposition.

Dinas Top 1 Most Wanted Falls

On May 3, 2018 at about 9:00 AM, Joint PNP personnel of Regional Special Operations Group Task Force Tugis and PNP personnel of Dinas MPS together with Phil. Army executed the service of Warrant of Arrest at Purok Talisay, Barangay Lower DImaya, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The operation resulted to the successful arrest of Top 1 Most Wanted Person identified as Rogelio Ugmad Albios for the crime of Highway Robbery docketed under cc#15-077, issued by Hon. Felix Rodriguez Jr, Presiding Judge, RTC 9 Branch 29, San Miguel Zamboanga Del Sur dated October 29, 2015.

Accused is now temporary detained at Dinas MPS locked-up cell while waiting the court order of the issuing court for proper disposition.
