survived in Labangan ZamboSur Shot-out
LABANGAN, Zamboanga del Sur (May 9, 2018) –
One wounded while two others were survived in ambushed transpired at Barangay
Langapod in the municipality of Labangan of this province Tuesday at 4:10pm,
Police Official said.
Labanga Municipal Police Station Chief of Police
PSINSP Joel M. Galleriana disclosed that a certain Mohamidin Dimatinggal Alam,
24 years old, single, and resident of Purok Dimatinggal, Lower Sang-an of the
said municipality. He reported to this Police Station and put into record that the
group of Mr. Carlos A. Matas at said place ambushed him. The victim sustained
gunshot wound on his left armpit that he decided to abandon his single
motorcycle (Racal) and single motorcycle DT owned by his companion Amerudin
Alamand.
In the related incident, initial investigation
conducted also disclosed as per testimony of Carlos A. Matas, Samuel C. Patajo
and Sannyboy E. Tepura that they were allegedly waylaid by single motorcycles
riding individuals at Purok Tundan, Langapod, in the said town and fired shots
unto their vehicles (Army Jeep) fortunately none of them were harmed. The
suspects fled to different direction after the incident.
Responding police operatives recovered from the
crime scene Six cartridge cases of caliber .45 pistol, one cartridge case of
nine 9mm and Two slugs of undetermined caliber of firearm while the army jeep
had seven bullet holes most of which came from behind and subject for bullet
trajectory examination.
Police Officer brought the wounded person to the
hospital for medical examination.
PSINSP Galleriana said that both parties were
accusing against each other and decided to file appropriate charges before the
court.
Labangan MPS still conducting a follow-up
investigation to gather more evidence. The motives believe to be political in
relation to the forthcoming election, the Chief of Police said. Investigator is

Operation
Against wanted Person and Loose Firearms in Dimataling
Zamboanga Del Sur PPO Personnel, 53rd Infantry
Battalion, Provincial Mobile Force Company, Dimataling MPS, Maritime Police
conducted joint Operation service of warrant of arrest against wanted Person
and Loose Firearms and Explosive Ordinance at Purok 1, 2 and Purok 3 Barangay Poblacion,
Dimataling, Zamboanga del Sur At about 5:00 AM of May 8, 2018.
The operation resulted in the recovery of;
-one (1) unit improvised M14 Rifle with
-four (4) magazines and
-fourteen (14) pieces of ammunitions with serial
number 9045 at the grassy portion at Purok 1 of same place.
The thirteen (13) Target Wanted Personalities at
the said Purok of the abovementioned place were not found during the service of
warrant of arrest.
Service of warrant of arrest was also served at
Purok 3, Sitio Toka, of same Barangay but the subject personalities were not
found in the area.
However due to the campaign against loose
firearms the former SB member and now candidate for Barangay Kagawad of
Poblacion, Dimataling, Zamboanga del Sur, one Mr. Cauting Dris, male, 78 years
old voluntarily turn-over his one (1)
unit 12 gauge shotgun with eight live ammunition with SN 4716 with an expired
license.
With the help of some informant, said team also
recovered another
-two fire arms, one (1) unit Caliber .38 revolver with deface SN and ----one
improvised M16 Rifle, with
-one inserted magazine loaded
with
-ten (10) pieces of 5.56mm ammunitions with deface serial number at the
grassy portion of Purok 3, Barangay Poblacion, Dimataling, Zamboanga del Sur.
Dimataling MPS is now preparing for
documentation and verification of all recovered firearms and subsequently
turn-over to FESAGS for proper disposition.

Joint elements from PNP personnel of Labangan
MPS in coordination with Margosatubig MPS conducted police operation at Purok
Linaw, Barangay Bulanit, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur At about 4:00 AM of May 8, 2018 that resulted to the arrest of Dary
Tagayno Liwas a.k.a. Jordan, 27 years old, single, jobless and resident of
Purok Linaw, Barangay Bulanit, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur.
This is by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the
crime of Double Frustrated Murder, docketed under criminal case number 15-138,
dated 08 March 2016, issued by Hon.
Felix B Rodriguez, Presiding Judge, Branch 29, Pagadian City with bail bond
recommended of four hundred thousand pesos (PHP 400,000.00).
Subject person is now under the temporary
custody of Labangan Municipal Detention Center awaiting court disposition.
