Stabbing Incident in Dumingag

On May 5, 2018 at about 1:20 AM, a stabbing incident transpired at Barangay La Fortuna, Dumingag, Zamboanga Del Sur.

Initial investigation conducted disclosed that, on or about 1:15 AM of May 5, 2018, the victim identified as Dany Aranas, 40 years old married, construction worker and a resident of Barangay Maralag, Dumingag, Zamboanga del Sur together with the suspect identified as Rogen Aglet Bation, 30 years old, married, construction worker and a resident of same place.

Both victim and suspect were having a drinking session at said Barangay when an intense argument ensued between them that prompted the suspect to stab the victim with the use of a hunting knife, while the said victim managed to retaliate by smashing the suspect with a 2x3 hard object hitting on his lower jaw.

Victim sustained one (1) stabbed wound on the part of his stomach and was immediately rushed to Molave Medical Center, Molave, Zamboanga del Sur while the suspect was brought to LTMPC Hospital, Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur for their immediate medical treatment.

Dumingag MPS investigator PO1 Fabian Francisco with contact no. 09504080180 is now conducting follow-up investigation. Motive of the incident is still to be determined. 

Rape Suspect Arrested in Mahayag

On May 5, 2018 at about 5:50 PM, PNP elements of Mahayag MPS conducted police operation (Service of Warrant of Arrest) thru intelligence driven operation at Purok Palayan, Barangay San Isidro, Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur.

The operation resulted to the arrest of one (1) Andres Lory Lina, 51 years old, farmer by occupation and a resident of said place.

Accused has a pending warrant of arrest for the crime of Rape in relation to RA 7610 with corresponding bail bond for his temporary liberty, to wit:

      a. Case no. 2018-10-3532, One Hundred Twenty Thousand Pesos (P120, 000.00);

      b. Case no. 2018-103533, One Hundred Twenty Thousand Pesos (P120, 000.00);

      c. Case no. 2018-10-3534, Forty Thousand Pesos (40,000.00). 

Arrested person is now temporary detained at Mahayag MPS detention cell awaiting for commitment order from the court. 
 
Shooting Incident in Dimataling

A shooting incident transpired at Purok 1 Brgy. Codilog, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur At about 2:30 PM of May 6, 2018 wherein victim identified as Evrin Dres, 37 years old, married, Municipal  Councilor under Peace and Order and Committee on Anti – Drugs  and a resident of Sitio Tuka Purok 3, Poblacion Dimataling Zamboanga Del Sur.

Initial investigation conducted by Dimataling  MPS disclosed that victim was driving his Navara 4x4 from Sittio Tuka Purok 3, Poblacion Dimataling Zamboanga Del Sur going to His Rice Mill situated at Barangay Kagawasan Dimataling when he notice he was fired upon that force him to drive fast and luckily he was unharmed.

The suspects fled towards barangay Poblacion Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur after the commission of the crime.

Responding team of Dimataling MPS conducted hot pursuit operation to the fleeing suspect but yielded negative result.

Motive of the incident believed to be personal grudge. Investigator is PO1 Iresidel O. Osayan with CP # 09076166963.
