2 Held for Violation
of Comelec Gun Ban in San Miguel
Zamboanga Del Sur - On May 13, 2018 at about
10:00 AM, armed men were sighted at Purok 3, Barangay Langilan, San Miguel,
Zamboanga Del Sur.
Upon receipt of the report, PNP personnel of San
Miguel MPS immediately proceeded to the previously mentioned place. Upon
arrival thereat, one of the two (2) male persons was carrying a long firearm
and immediately ran upon seeing the presence of the responding PNP personnel.
Fortunately, the two suspects were arrested at
Purok 1 and Purok 3 of said barangay and later identified as:
-Miguel Dalam Ganacan, 44 years old, (Recovered
from his possession and control one homemade improvised 12 gauge shotgun loaded
with two live ammunitions), and
-Epifanio Lumisay Inso, 22 years old (Recovered
from his possession and control are six (6) live ammunitions of 12 gauge
shotgun).
Investigation conducted disclosed that suspects
were relatives of opposition candidate Rosendo Suela (PDP Laban Party) against
incumbent Barangay Chairman Charlito Mogalin (NPC Party) and were allegedly
present at Barangay Laperian of said municipality to support the candidacy of
opposition candidate Rosendo Suela.
The suspects are now temporarily detained at San
Miguel MPS while appropriate case for violation of RA 10591 is being prepared
for filing in court.
Murder Suspect
Arrested in Mahayag
On May 14, 2018 at about 10:00 AM, Joint Elements from Mahayag MPS, Zamboanga Del
Sur Provincial Mobile Company and Don Victoriano MPS conducted manhunt
operation on service of warrant of arrest at Purok 4, Barangay Lampasan, Don
Victoriano, Misamis Occidental.
The operation resulted in the arrest of Brando
Macasalong Gonzagon, 36 years old, born on February 22, 1982, male, married,
farmer and a resident of the above mentioned place.
He was arrested by virtue of warrant of arrest
issued by Hon. Jaime B. Caberte, Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court, 9th
Judicial Region, Branch 23, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur dated April 05, 2018 for
the crime of Frustrated Murder And Double Attempted Murder under Criminal Case
# 2018-10-3526.
The bail bond recommended is fixed to Two
Hundred Twenty Thousand Pesos (Php 220,000.00). Arrested accused is now
temporary detained at Mahayag MPS detention cell while waiting for final
adjudication from court for proper disposition.
Violation of
Omnibus Election Code and Accomplishment on Loose Firearm and ammunitions
Pagadian City - On May 14, 2018 at about 12:30 PM, Hon. Raymundo Albiar y Polenzo, 52
years old, male, married, incumbent Barangay Chairman of Barangay Tuburan,
Pagadian City.
He personally called up Pagadian City Police
Station and reported that on or about 12:00 noon of same date while he was
inside at the premises of his house located Purok Marang, Barangay Tuburan,
Pagadian City, he allegedly saw a group of eight (8) male personalities onboard
on a single motorcycles suddenly appeared and stayed in front of his gate.
Alarmed of their presence, he called out on
recognizing them; however, they immediately drove their motorcycles and headed
to Tuburan Elementary School direction through a small alley.
While at the gate, he caught the last rider on
board on a Kawasaki KLX 150 and was able to notice a bulging object tacked on
his waist.
Later on, he confiscated one (1) unit Cal .45
pistol bearing serial no. 844888, chamber loaded with one live ammunition,
inserted with a magazine loaded with six (6) live ammunitions of same caliber
and his driven single motorcycle.
Immediately, Hon. Albiar called-up Pagadian City Police and
immediately Pagadian City Police responded to the call. Upon arrival thereat,
Hon. Albiar personally turned-over the confiscated items and arrested person to
the responding PNP team.
The arrested person was identified as Catalino
Cantil Abangan Sr, 47 years old, male, married, self-employed and a resident of
Purok Pagatpat Dos, Barangay Santa Lucia, Pagadian City.
Arrested person and items confiscated were now
under the custody of Pagadian City Police Station.
The investigator PO3 Joel Limbo with contact no.
0910750106 is now conducting through investigation regarding the incident.
Suicide
Incident in Pagadian City
On May 14, 2018 at about 11:00 AM of May 14,
2018. Personnel from Pagadian City Police Station received a cellular phone
call from a concerned citizen informing that a suicide incident transpired at
Purok Talong 2, Barangay Kahayagan, Pagadian City.
The victim identified as Jessie Yabo Irog-Irog,
37 years old, married, driver, and a resident of said place.
Acting on the said report, PNP elements of
Pagadian CPS responded to the place of incident to conduct ocular inspection
and investigation.
Initial investigation conducted disclosed that,
said incident was discovered when the victim’s eldest son Justine Irog-Irog was
looking for his father and when he opened the door of the nipa hut beside their
house, he saw the lifeless body of his father hanged at the truss of the hut
using a nylon rope about one (1) meter long.
Upon seeing his father, he immediately went
outside calling for help.
Further, investigation disclosed that, said
victim was diagnosed for having a nervous breakdown due to some instances that
he already attempted to make a suicide sometime on the year 2015.
Said incident has no signs or traces of struggle
as well as other body injuries except the ligature marks of the rope found
around his neck.
The cadaver of the victim lies at his residence located
at the abovementioned place.
