Electrocution
Incident in Midsalip
On April 30, 2018 at about 4:00 PM, the person
of Jovencio Auregue Y Mercado, 70 years old, married, farmer, and resident of
Purok 4, Dumalinao, Midsalip, Zamboanga del Sur was accidentally electrocuted
at the rice field located at Purok 4, Dumalinao, Midsalip, Zamboanga del Sur.
Investigation conducted disclosed that victim
was plowing his rice field at Purok 4, Dumalinao, Midsalip, Zamboanga del Sur,
when the electric post of Zamsureco 1, near the rice field accidentally
collapse and fell down into the ground and the live power line hit the victim
causing him to be electrocuted.
The victim was brought by his neighbor at
Midsalip Infirmary hospital for immediate medical treatment, but was declared
dead on arrival by the attending physician.
PNP personnel of Midsalip MPS conducted thorough
investigation to possibly determine the cause of the incident. Investigator on

2 Farmer Held
for Murder in Aurora
Combined PNP personnel of Zamboanga Del Sur PPO
and Aurora MPS conducted police operation (Service of Arrest Warrant) at Purok
Mauswagon, Barangay Bagong Maslog, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur on May 2, 2018 at
about 4:20 AM.
The operation resulted to the arrest of two (2)
wanted persons identified as Gilbert Engliza Y Hermocilla, 29 years old,
single, farmer with live-in partner and resident of Purok Fatima, Barangay
Bag-ong Maslog, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur and Reynaldo Engliza Jr Y Hermocilla,
37 years old, married, farmer and resident of Barangay Bagong Maslog, Aurora,
Zamboanga del Sur.
The accused are arrested by virtue of Warrant of
Arrest for the crime of Attempted Murder, docketed under criminal case number
77-924-14, dated 01 April 2014, issued by Hon. Viginia Hofilena Europa,
Presiding Judge, Regional Trial Court, 11th Judicial Region, Branch 11, Davao
City with bail bond recommended of one hundred twenty thousand pesos (Php
120,000.00) each.
Subject person are now temporary detained at
Aurora Municipal Detention Center awaiting court disposition.
