3 Killed in Hot
Pursuit Operation in Labangan
On May 12, 2018 at about 3:30 PM, shooting
incident, particularly in front of Jonathan Salang Magdadaro’s residence
located at Purok 2, Barangay Noburan, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur.
The victim identified as Carlos Arapoc Matas, 61
years old, male, married, and resident of Purok Fatima, Barangay Dao, Pagadian
City, more or less seven (7) unidentified gunmen shot several times using M16
rifle, caliber 45 pistols, and caliber 9mm.
As a result, victim sustained several gunshot
wounds in the different parts of his body that resulted to his instantaneous
death, while suspects immediately fled the scene after the incident.
Evidence recovered from the crime scene are
fifteen (15) cartridge case of 5.56 mm, two (2) cartridge case of caliber .45
pistol, one (1) undetermined deformed slug, one (1) cartridge case of caliber
9mm and one (1) live ammunition of caliber 9mm.
Joint PNP personnel of Zamboanga Del Sur PPO
together with the Provincial Intelligence Branch of Zambo Sur PPO, Provincial
Mobile Force Company and Labangan MPS and elements of 53rd IB conducted at
about 5:00 PM of same date, hot pursuit operation, Philippine Army responded at
Barangay Dipaya, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur.
The operation resulted to more or less six (6)
hours of firefight which led to the death/neutralization of three (3) suspects
identified as:
-Butchoy Abdul (KIA) legal age, and resident of
Tukuran, Zamboanga del Sur, Recovered from his possession one (1) unit caliber
9mm with one magazine of same caliber;
-Bakar Inok (KIA) legal age, and resident of
Barangay Lower sang-an, Labangan, Zamboanga del Sur (No firearm recovered) and
-Salik Tabina (KIA), legal age, and resident of
Barangay Bulanit, Labangan Zamboanga del Sur, Recovered from his possession
one unit KG9 with two magazine of same
caliber.
One person wounded identified as Arnaiz Alam
Kabaro a.k.a. “kabeb" Recovered from his possession one unit M4 without
Magazine, legal age, and resident of Barangay Lower Sang-an, Labangan,
Zamboanga del Sur who is now temporarily confined at Zamboanga del Sur Medical
Center.
While on the side of the PNP/AFP operating
troops, PSI Aiko R Tesoro, Deputy Chief, Provincial Intelligence Branch was
wounded on his right arm and was rushed to HofileƱa hospital of this city and
subsequently brought to Ozamis City hospital for further treatment.
Subject firearms are now under the custody of
Labangan MPS for proper disposition. PNP
personnel from Provincial Crime Laboratory Office (PCLO) conducted crime scene
processing. Investigator is PO2 Welito C Nuena, with cellphone number

Homicide
Suspect Arrested in Sominot
PNP personnel of Sominot MPS conducted manhunt
operation against wanted person Purok 2, Brgy. Datagan, Sominot, Zamboanga del
Sur at about 4:00 PM of May 12, 2018.
This resulted in the arrest of Romnick Langilan,
31 years old, married, farmer and a resident of said place.
This is by virtue of Alias Warrant of Arrest
Docketed under Criminal Case Number 13- 10,968 for Homicide issued by Hon.
Judge Jaime B. Caberte, Acting Presiding Judge, RTC, 9th Judicial Region,
Branch 30, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur.
Bail for his temporary liberty is fixed to forty
thousand (Php 40,000.00) pesos.
Arrested accused is now temporary detained at Sominot MPS locked-up cell
while waiting the court order of the issuing court for proper disposition.
Shooting
incident and Hot Pursuit Operation in Labangan
Shooting incident transpired at Barangay
Noburan, Labangan Zamboanga Del Sur At about 3:30 PM of May 12, 2018 wherein
victim was identified as Carlos Arapoc Matas, legal age and a resident of Purok
Mahayahay, Dao, Pagadian City.
Four (4) unidentified suspects using cal. 45
pistol and cal. 5.56 M16 rifles base on the fired cartridge cage recovered from
the crime scene shot him to death.
Suspects fled onboard a single motorcycle,
towards the directions of Barangay Langapud, Labangan Zamboanga Del Sur wherein
a hot pursuit operation was immediately conducted by PIB personnel of ZSPPO and
53rd IB, Phil Army.
Upon arrival at Barangay Langapud, Labangan
Zamboanga Del Sur a fire fight ensued and as a result thereof, Two (2)
unidentified suspects were neutralized and wounding PSINSP Aiko R Tesoro,
Deputy, PIB, ZSPPO.

Stabbing
Incident in Pagadian City
Stabbing incident transpired at Barangay Gatas,
Pagadian City at about 3:20 AM of May 13, 2018. Initial investigation conducted
upon arrival of the responding team, found the victim conscious laying on the
ground bathed with own blood.
Victim was immediately brought at Zamboanga del
Sur Medical Center, Barangay Dao, Pagadian City for medical treatment. The
victim was identified as one (1) Elgen Transporte Alabata, 23 years old, male,
single and resident of Purok Tugas, Barangay Balangasan, Pagadian City, sustain
several stabbed wounds on different parts of his body.
Further, victim was having drinking spree with
his friends, the victim saw somebody hurting someone, he tried to pacify but
unidentified group of teenagers stabbed him.
The suspects run away going to Duterte Street,
Barangay Gatas, Pagadian City.
Man Held for Violation of COMELEC Gun Ban in
Kumalarang
Elements of 902nd, Regional Mobile Force
Battalion 9 while conducting mobile patrol in the vicinity of Diplo, Kumalarang
Zamboanga Del Sur At about 8:30 PM of May 12, 2018.
They received a cellular phone call from a
concerned citizen informing that there was a person armed with short firearm
along the road in front of Baguio Store located at Purok Hadji Dacula, Diplo,
Kumalarang Zamboanga Del Sur.
Acting on the said report, PNP personnel of
902nd, RMFB9 proceeded to the reported place and able to apprehend Ebnosali
Dacula Saavedra, 50 years old, Barangay Kagawad, resident of Purok Haji Dacula,
Brgy. Diplo, Kumalarang armed with short firearm tacked in his waist.
The suspect failed to present legal documents
and COMELEC exemption in carrying Firearms.
Confiscated from his possession were One (1)
Caliber 45 Pistol, One (1) Magazine and Twelve (12) rounds of live ammunitions.
Apprehended suspect is now temporary detained at
Kumalarang MPS locked-up cell while preparing appropriate charge against the
suspect in court.
