REPORTED INCIDENTS – October 13-14, 2014

PRESS RELEASE 
Vehicular Accident in Dimataling
Vehicular accident took place at about 6:30 PM of October 13, 2014 along provincial road particularly at Barangay Tiniguangan, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur, wherein Hyundai van color maroon bearing plate number WSL- 320, driven by Joel Mahinay Mauren, 34, collided with one Honda wave 110 color red with plate number 8423- JL driven by James Lapinoria Alminteros, 21, without driver license. initial investigation conducted by the responding PNP team of Dimataling MPS disclosed that the single motor traveling from Poblacion, Tabina bound to Pagadian City and upon reaching at said place collided with the above said passenger van which resulted to the driver of single motor accidentally thrown to the right portion of the road. The victim sustained injuries on the different parts of his body and immediately rushed to Margosatubig Regional hospital for medical treatment. Both vehicles were impounded to Dimataling MPS for further investigation and proper disposition. 

Robbery in Pagadian City
Robbery and ransack incident occurred at about 12:15 PM of October 13, 2014, wherein the food stall of Jinkee Fuentes y Abunin, 25, female, single, resident of Barangay Tuburan, Pagadian City was robbed by unidentified suspect.  The aforesaid owner discovered that the backdoor of her establishment was forcibly opened and believed entered by unidentified person. She also noticed the things/items inside was already disarranged. The suspect/s was able to get inside the establishment by forcibly destroying back door and while inside carted away assorted groceries, rice cooker and cash amounting to more or less six thousand pesos (P6,000.00). the alleged suspect/s were able to robbed the said establishment by taking advantages of that time when there is no people around including the owner who was not also around during that time. The suspect/s fled to unknown direction after the incident. The Pagadian PNP is now conducting follow - up investigation in order to possibly identify and arrest the suspect.

ROBBERY/RANSACKED INCIDENT
On or about 3:45 in the afternoon of October 13, 2014, one Jinkee Fuentes Y Abunin, 25 years old, female, single, and a resident of Purok Marang, Barangay Tuburan reported to Pagadian City Police Station that his food stall/carenderia at the covered court, Plaza Luz, Pagadian City was robbed by unidentified suspect. Immediately, PNP personnel of Pagadian City Police Station and duty investigator under the direction of PSupt Glenn Macario Dulawan, OIC proceeded to the abovementioned place to conduct ocular inspection/investigation. initial investigation disclosed that on or about 12:00 in the afternoon of same date, the aforesaid owner discovered that the backdoor of her carenderia was  forcibly opened and believed entered by unidentified person and she also noticed the things/items inside was already disarranged. Further investigation disclosed that unidentified suspect/s was able to get inside the carenderia by forcibly destroying back door. Suspect/s were able to robbed the said carenderia by taking advantages of that time when there is no people around and the owner (Jinkee Fuentes Y Abunin) was not also around that time. Suspect/s fled to unknown direction after the incident. Pagadian City Police Station is now conducting follow-up investigation to possibly identify the suspect.

On or about 6:27 in the evening of October 13, 2014 along provincial road particularly at Purok 7 Barangay Tiniguangan, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del Sur wherein  Hyundai Besta van color maroon bearing plate nr WSL-320, registered under the name of a certain Vecinte Teofilo  and was driven by a certain Joel Mahinay Mauren, 34 years a resident of Poblacion Pitogo, Zamboanga Del Sur collided with one motorcycle Honda Wave 110 color red with plate nr 8423-JL driven by James Lapinoria Alminteros, 21 years old without driver license. initial investigation conducted by the responding PNP team of Dimataling Police Station disclosed that while the single motor traveling from Poblacion Tabina bound to Pagadian City and upon reaching at said place collided with the above said passenger van which resulted to the driver of single motor accidentally thrown to the right portion of the road. Victim sustained injuries on the different parts of his body and immediately rushed to Margos Satubig Regional Hospital for medical treatment. Both vehicles were impounded to Dimataling Police Station for further investigation and proper disposition.

STOOTING INCIDENT
On or about 6:00 in the morning of October 14, 2014, Pagadian City Police Station received a cellular phone call from concerned citizen informing that a shooting incident transpired at Purok Nazareth, Barangay Buenavista, Pagadian City. PNP elements of Pagadian City Police Station proceeded to the reported place of incident purposely to verify and conduct investigation if affirmative. Investigation conducted by Pagadian City Police Station disclosed that victims identified as (1) Junlyn Marata, 15 years old, resident of Purok Sandayong, Barangay Sto Niño, Pagadian City and one (1) Felmar Duhilag Y Pantaw, legal age, resident of Purok Tinangkong, Barangay  Balintawak, Pagadian City were shot several times by an unidentified suspects using undetermined caliber of short firearm. Further investigation disclosed that on or about 11:30 in the evening of October 13, 2014, both victims were walking on the aforementioned place when followed/chased by an unidentified suspects and without any apparent reason shot them several times. As a result, victim Junlyn Marata sustained gunshot wounds on his head that resulted to his untimely death while victim Felmar Duhilag Y Pantaw sustained gunshot wound on his neck and same was rushed to Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center for immediate medical treatment and now in stable condition. PNP elements of Pagadian City Police Station conducted a follow-up investigation for the possible identity and arrest of suspects. Investigator on case is PO2 Jennifer Buco cp nr 09103364888.

STOOTING INCIDENT
On or about 9:50 in the evening of October 14, 2014 at Purok 1, Barangay Datagan, Sominot, Zamboanga Del Sur wherein victim identified as one (1) Rodel Roheleg Y Saropio, 25 years old, single, farmer and a resident of Purok 7 of same place was shot to death by certain Roger Octao Y Ortellano, 49 years old, married, concurrent Barangay Kagawad of Barangay Datagan, Sominot, Zamboanga Del Sur with the used of homemade shotgun. Initial investigation conducted by the responding PNP team of Sominot Police Station disclosed that on or about 9:00 in the evening of October 14, 2014, the aforesaid victim was in the house of Samuel Alame Y Ended holding a hunting knife and was confiscated by the aforesaid Barangay Kagawad. The victim got mad and went to the Videoke Store of Lolita Mato at Purok 1, Barangay Datagan, Sominot, Zamboanga Del Sur. Afterwards; said Barangay Kagawad also went to the said Videoke Store for drinking and upon his arrival thereat was dared by the victim for a fight. Right there and then the said suspect shot the victim using homemade shot gun. Victim sustained lone gunshot wound at the left quadrant area thru and thru that resulted to the victim’s untimely death. Suspect was voluntarily surrendered to Samuel Alame Y Ended, 51 years old, CVO member of said place and subsequently turn-over to the responding PNP team of Sominot Police Station for proper case disposition. Sominot Police Station is still conducting follow-up investigation for the possible recovery of the firearms used by the suspect in killing the victim. Arrested suspect is now temporary detained at Sominot Police Station lock-up cell while appropriate case is being prepared for inquest filing.
