DIMATALING - Stabbing
incident transpired at Purok 2, Barangay Sugbay Uno, Dimataling, Zamboanga Del
Sur at about 8:20 PM of February 5, 2017, particularly at the house of Jose
Alipo Congcardas Jr., wherein victim identified as Edmund Eslit Sumalpong, aka Tata,
37 years old, separated, was stabbed by Lorenzo Ordeniza Eslit, 50 years old,
separated, both resident of the above mentioned place. initial investigation
disclosed that while the victim together with the owner of the house were both
sitting on the terrace when suddenly the suspect arrived holding a hunting
knife and uttered in visayan dialect “naa ra diay ka diri buanga ka”, and
without any apparent reason stabbed the victim. Suspect immediately fled to
unknown direction after the incident. The victim sustained stabbed wound on his
abdomen and immediately brought to Dimataling Rural Health center and later
transferred to Zamboanga Del Sur Medical Center located at Barangay Dao,
Pagadian City for treatment. Dimataling MPS is still conducting follow-up
operation for the possible arrest of the suspect. Motive of the incident is
personal grudge.

Man Held for Firing Cal. 38 Pistol
BAYOG - A 46-year old
man was arrested after he was caught in possession of Caliber 38 pistol in Sitio
Miswe, Barangay Depore, Bayog, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 11:20 AM of February
5, 2017. Arrested was a certain Cesar Navarro who fired his pistol twice when
his neighbor was having a fist fight. Recovered from his possession one (1)
unit caliber .38 pistol, with no serial number loaded with three (3) rounds of
ammunition inside its cylinder and one (1) ammunition of caliber .9mm. prior to
the incident, Bayog MPS received information from a concerned citizen that the
suspect was an ex-convict. Suspect is temporarily detained at Bayog MPS for
proper disposition.
