Rape Suspect Arrested in Ozamis City

PAGADIAN CITY (Sept. 14, 2018) – The joint PNP personnel of 902nd Maneuver Company of RMFB9 and Ozamis City Police Station, Pagadian City Police Station, Regional Intelligence Division 9-Task Force Tugis successfully arrested the rape suspect during the conduct of law enforcement operation at Barangay Aguada Ozamis City at around 6:30pm of September 12, 2018, police official said.

Police Regional Office 9 PIO Chief PCINS Helen L. Galvez identified the arrested rape suspect as Arturo Carbajosa Y Palad, 38 years old, male married, construction worker and a resident of Purok Curvada, Dao Pagadian City.

Galvez disclosed that the operating team arrested the accused for the crime of Statutory Rape under criminal case no. 13880-2k18, with no bail bond recommended dated May 13, 2018 and the said warrant of arrest was duly issued by Judge Analyn F. Ramas-Costanilla, Acting Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Regional Branch 22, Pagadian City.

The Suspect was then brought to Ozamiz City Police Station for proper disposition and for the return of subject warrant of arrest to the issuing court, Galvez said. 

Dead Body Found in Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur

DUMALINAO, Zamboanga del Sur (Sept 14, 2018) -  A dead body was found at Purok Pag-asa, Brgy Bibilik, Dumalinao, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 5:00 AM of September 12, 2018.

Immediately, PNP personnel of Dumalinao MPS together with Dr Patrick Kean Toledo, municipal doctor proceeded to the above-mentioned place and found one dead body later identified as Alex Balagot Diana, 42 years old, married, fisherman and a resident of Purok Bay-bay Uno, Poloyagan, Pagadian City.

Investigation conducted that the victim was seen having a drinking session with his relatives Nelson Arcenal and Manie Estoya.

Later, the victim went to swim at the nearby shore during high tide and to their surprise saw the victim floating along the shore already lifeless and believe that the victim was accidentally drown due to strong sea current. The relatives already claimed the cadaver.

P150K property damaged by Fire Incident

LABANGAN, Zamboanga del Sur (Sept. 14, 2018) - Fire incident transpired at the SSBN barracks inside the camp of 1st Infantry Tabak Division, Camp. Major L Sang-an, Upper Pulacan, Labangan, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 7:00pm of September 12, 2018.

Initial investigation conducted, with an interview with CPL Luis B Salarda the person that first noticed the blaze disclosed that at the time the fire caught his attention it was already in fully developed stage that he can no longer pin point the exact location of the origin or where it really started. All he can do is to inform his superiors and find a way to contact the fire station for assistance.       

With the hasty response of the Tabak Fire Brigade and responding Pagadian City Fire fighters the incident was declared under control at about 7:45 pm of same date and was totally declared fire out at exactly 8:05 of the same date.

Property loss amounting to more or less One Hundred  Fifty thousand Pesos (Php150,000.00) to covered the worth of the building and one unit M16 ripple with  360 rounds of ammunitions and a laptop computer without incurring any casualty. Cause of fire still under investigation by the City Fire Marshall.

Arsonist Arrested in Pitogo, Zamboanga Del Sur

PITOGO, Zamboanga del Sur ( Sept. 14, 2018) – The Operative of Pitogo Municipal Police Station arrested wanted person during the conduct of Intel Driven Operation at Purok 1, Brgy Balong-balong, Pitogo, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 12:15 PM of September 12, 2018.

The operating team identrified the arrested wanted person as Ignacio Delacerna Lingatong, male, 64 years old, married, fisherman and a resident of above-mentioned place.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest docketed under Criminal Case # No 15-135 for the crime of “Arson (under SEC. 3(4) of P.D. NO. 1613” with no bail recommended issued by Hon. Ruben N Bance, Presiding Judge, RTC 9th Judicial Region, Branch 29, San Miguel, Zamboanga Del Sur issued on July 14, 2016. 

The accused is now temporarily under custodial investigation of Pitogo MPS for documentation and will be turn over to the issuing court for proper disposition.  (By JONG CADION)
