1 person killed in Stabbing Incident

MIDSALIP, Zamboanga Del Sur Sept. 4, 2018) – One person was killed in Stabbing incident occurred at Purok 2, Barangay Pawan, Midsalip, Zamboanga Del Sur. The victim was identified as one Jay-R Mabisa Lumawas, 19 yrs. old, single, farmer and a resident of afore-said place.

Initial Investigation disclosed that at about 2:00pm of September 1, 2018 the victim identified as Jay-R Lumawas, and his two friends identified as Randy Gumawid Claton, 25 yrs. old, single, farmer and older brother Danny Gumawid Claton, 28 yrs. old, single, farmer both residents of Purok 4, Barangay Datu Tutukan, Dumingag, Zamboanga Del Sur were having drinking spree. They were drinking at the coconut dryer (landahan) of Belia Quilar at Purok 7 of Barangay Pawan, Midsalip.

At around 5:00pm of the same day, they went to Barangay Pawan proper and while on their way, Randy Claton and the victim having a conversation that resulted to an intense argument.

Afterwards, without apparent reason, Jay-R Lumawas suddenly boxed Randy Claton in the face and the brothers retaliated by stabbing and slashing Jay-R Lumawas using the hunting knife owned by Randy Claton.

The Victim sustained multiple stabbed wounds on the different parts of his body and one slashed wound on his leg. Then afterwards, Claton brothers fled on foot towards Barangay Datu Tutukan, Dumingag, Zamboanga Del Sur.

That around 6:00PM on the same day the suspect Randy Claton voluntarily surrendered to Roger Aliego Pacto, Chief Tanod of Barangay Datu Tutukan and immediately brought by the said Chief Tanod to Dumingag MPS.

On the next day September 2, 2018 at around 6 o’clock in the morning, Danny Claton, voluntarily surrendered to the aforesaid chief tanod and later turned over to Dumingag MPS.

The PNP Personnel of Midsalip MPS picked the two aforesaid suspects at Dumingag MPS and now in custody of Midsalip MPS for proper disposition. The motive of the incident is personal grudge. SPO1 Julie Raagas Capangpangan is investigator on case with cellphone no. 09070695312.

Female Dead Body Found

MAHAYAG, Zamboanga del Sur (Sept. 4, 2018) - A female dead body found lying at the rice field of Purok 6, Barangay Boniao, Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur.

PNP elements of Mahayag MPS proceeded to the reported place and explicitly saw one female personality lying lifeless at the rice field sustained serious hacking injuries on her left face and left arm resulting to her sudden death. The victim was positively identified by his son Jessie Maglinte Aplaca as Perla Maglinte Aplaca, 64 years old, widow, farm laborer, a resident of Purok 3, Barangay Manguiles, Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur.

Investigation conducted by Mahayag MPS disclosed that on September 1, 2018 at around 5:00 PM, the victim together with his son Jessie Aplaca with live-in partner Miraflor were at the videoke house owned by Afredo Caliso situated at Purok 6, Barangay Boniao, Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur.

Thereat, the victim and Afredo Caliso were drinking liquor (Kulafu) while victim son Jessie Aplaca and live in-partner singing at the videoke. At around 5:30 P.M., of same date (September 1, 2018) victim brother in law identified as Loreto Panoy Aplaca arrived to said videoke house and minutes later victim nephew identified as Tammy Caliso Lomo also arrived and therein victim, Alfredo Caliso, Loreto Aplaca and Tammy Lomo were having a drinking session.

That at around 7:00 P.M., of same date (September 1, 2018) victim son Jessie Aplaca and live-in partner went home while the victim together with Alfredo Caliso, Loreto Aplaca and Tammy Lomo continued their drinking session.

At around 7:30 P.M., of same date (September 1, 2018) Tammy Lomo asked to go home first and minute’s later victim also went home. At around 5:45 A.M., September 2, 2018 while Mr. Errol Majorenos walking at the ricefield area of Purok 6, Barangay Boniao, Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur, he saw the aforesaid victim lying at the rice field and immediately called the aforesaid barangay captain.

The Mahayag MPS is now conducting thorough investigation for possible identification and apprehension of the suspect. However, Mahayag MPS is now submitting to the Provincial Crime Laboratory Office, Camp Abelon, Pagadian City for cross matching examination of a Maroon Jacket believed to be having a blood stain from the alleged suspect and the t-shirts of the victim containing blood sample.

Motive of the incident is yet to be determined. The investigator is P02 Ariel U Saloma with CP # 09120991246;

Hacking Incident

RAMON MAGSAYSAY, Zamboanga Del Sur (Sept. 4, 2018) - Hacking incident transpired at Purok 2, Barangay Malating, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 9:50 PM of September 1, 2018. The victim identified as Rogelio Albarico Y Maglasang, 52 years old, married, farmer and a resident of above-mentioned barangay.

He was hacked by suspect one Jerson Maglasang y Polinar, 53 years old, male, married, farmer also and a resident of barangay Malating, Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga del Sur.

Initial investigation conducted by Ramon Magsaysay MPS disclosed that the victim sustained multiple hack wounds in the different parts of the body and the cadaver was discovered this morning at around 8:30 AM of September 2, 2018 inside the premises of Malating, Elementary School quadrangle.

The suspect was arrested after the incident and the weapon used (SCYTHE) measuring to twenty two inches was recovered and he is now under the custody Ramon Magsaysay MPS for investigation and proper disposition.

The cadaver was moved to the Paradise Funeral Home, located at Ramon Magsaysay, Zamboanga Del Sur waiting for autopsy examination by the Rural Health attending Physician.

Man Arrested for Illegal Possession of Firearms in Pagadian City

PAGADIAN CITY (Sept. 4, 2018) – The Pagadian City Police personnel was successfully apprehended one person for Illegal Possession of Firearms transpired at about 10:00pm on August 31, 2018 at Porcing Store, Sagun Street, Gatas District, Pagadian City.

The operating team identified the arrested person as Macelo Pielago Tabudlong, 34 years old, male, married, fisherman and a resident of Purok Sandayong, Brgy. Santo Niño, Pagadian City.

Investigation disclosed that there was a concern citizen informing the police that there was an unidentified male person wearing black t-shirt with a black body bag drinking inside the video k bar at the above-mentioned place and allegedly drew a short firearm and smashed it on top of the table several times.

Acted to the said report, Pagadian CPS personnel immediately proceeded to the reported place. Thereat, in close range from the alleged suspect, the responding Police Officers saw in plain view, the handle of the firearm place inside an opened black body bag that prompted them to frisk and arrest the suspect.

After that, the suspect was informed in his basic rights and immediately brought to Pagadian CPS.

The operating team Confiscated from the possession and control of the suspect one unit Para Ordnance caliber .45 pistols with serial number 428237, one live ammunition loaded at the chamber and one short magazine assembly with six live ammunitions.

Further, the above-arrested person now temporarily detained at Pagadian CPS custodial facility for proper disposition.

Rape Suspect, Top 5 Most Wanted Arrested

AURORA, ZamboSur (Sept. 4, 2018) – The PNP elements of Zamboanga Del Sur Provincial Mobile Company, Aurora MPS, Molave MPS and personnel of General Trias City Police Station, Cavite conducted Manhunt Charlie at Brgy. Buenavista 2, General Trias, Cavite City at about 8:00pm of August 31, 2018.

The operation was led to the arrest of Charlito Mariquita, (Top 5 Most Wanted), 36 years old, unemployed, and temporarily residing at Brgy. Buenavista 2, General Trias, Cavite City. He was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Rape docketed under Criminal Case  # 11-10,818 dated January 31, 2012 with no bail recommended.

The WoA was issued by Hon. Jaime B Caberte, Presiding Judge of RTC 9th Judicial Region, Branch 30, Aurora, Zamboanga Del Sur.

Subject wanted person now temporarily detained at Compac Bacao Costudial Center, Genereal Trias CPS, Cavite for proper documentation and disposition while waiting for the commitment order from the issuing court.

Murder Suspect Arrested in Pagadian City

PAGADIAN CITY (Sept. 4, 2018) – The PNP personnel of Pagadian City Police Station and Zamboanga Del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company successfully arrested the wanted person during the conduct of manhunt operation at Purok Riverside, Barangay Kawit, Pagadian City Sunday, September 2 at about 11:45am.

The operating tema identified the arrested wanted person as Melquides Dicdican y Enriquez aka Katang, 46 years old, married, jobless and a resident of the aforementioned place.

The accused was arrested by the virtue of Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Double Attempted Murder with Criminal Case number 11802-2k14 issued by Honorable Rolando L Goan, Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court, 9th Judicial Region, Branch 21, Pagadian City dated November 05, 2014 with Bail recommended of One hundred twenty thousand pesos (Php120, 000.00). 

The arrested person is now under custody of Pagadian CPS for proper disposition.

Wanted Person Arrested

SAN MIGUEL, Zamboanga del Sur (Sept. 4, 2018) – The PNP personnel of Mahayag MPS together with San Miguel MPS and Zamboanga Del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company arrested the wanted person during the  conduct of police operation against wanted person at Brgy Sayog, San Miguel, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 8:20pm of August 31, 2018.

The operating troops identified the arrested wanted person as Noel M Aporado, 37 years old, male, farmer and a resident of Purok 2 Brgy Tuburan, Mahayag, Zamboanga Del Sur.

The accused was arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest docketed under Criminal Case # 2016-10-3109 for Violation against Women and Children with bail bond recommended of Php24, 000.00 issued by Hon Judge Jaime B Caberte, Presiding Judge, RTC 9th Judicial Region, Branch 23, Molave, Zamboanga Del Sur on February 24, 2016.

Subject arrested person is now detained at Mahayag MPS detention facility for proper disposition.

Drug Personality Arrested in Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur

DINAS, Zamboanga del Sur (Sept. 4, 2018) – The PNP elements of Dinas MPS together with the personnel of Zamboanga Del Sur Provincial Intelligence Branch and PDEA9 arrested one person during the conduct of joint anti-illegal drugs “Buy-bust” Operation at Purok Sampaguita, Poblacion, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur at about 2:40 PM of August 31, 2018.

The operating team identified the arrested illegal drug personality as Norcid Unsang Fermin, 26 years old, male, married, carpenter, elementary level and a resident of Sitio Balaisan, East Migpulao, Dinas, Zamboanga Del Sur.

Recovered items from the possession of Norsid Ansang Fermin are five (5) small plastic sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be “shabu”, one Colt Cal .45 with defaced serial number, one short magazine with seven live ammos for Cal .45 and marked money of 500 hundred peso bill with serial number E413613.

The arrested person is a member of Anwar Ansang Group, was brought to Dinas MPS for proper documentation and is now under the custody of PDEA9 for proper disposition prior filing of appropriate charges. (By JONG CADION)
